SMOKESHOW bbq and brew

Smoke Show it is good place. However, when I went there with my wife, we could notice a lack o people working there to serve, and we didn't feel good after ordering chicken fingers. With only two beers, I felt full, and so did my wife with only four drinks, she threw up as soon as we arrived at home within walking distance, and we often drink and consume more than this. This happened last winter. We pretty much went to almost every Pub and bars in this neighborhood and this only happened there. I hope you guys can improve it.

This is a hidden gem. Whether you just want a bite to eat or prefer to spice up your food with some live music or need to host an event, Smokeshow is simply perfect. It’s cozy and warm, the food is great, and service is amazing. Everybody is super friendly and after an hour you feel like you’ve known these people forever.
I organize an Argentine Tango night at Smokeshow twice a month and on behalf of all fellow dancers I can say that this place has a very special vibe. You come once and you’ll keep coming again and again.

Zorro Gris on every 2nd Sunday for Tango is amazing with wonderful music.
And atmosphere!

Go for salsa and bacahata dancing on Tuesday nights. Staff is very nice, and the place gets pretty busy. A rail drink was $10. Not sure on other prices. Entrance has a large ramp to get in, and looks like outdoor patio in summer. Washroom is on main level as well, no stairs.

This is my favourite spot in Toronto. The food is incredible! I especially love the Ribs, macaroni, and the Lava Cake, but you can’t really go wrong with anything in their menu. The people who run and work here are incredibly friendly, I always get into the most pleasant conversations while I’m here. This is the perfect place to bring your friends to. Every time I’ve brought a friend they’ve looked at me at the end of the meal saying that this was some of the best food they’ve ever had. I’ve been a regular for almost 2 years now and I always walk away from the Smoke Show with a smile on my face, excited to come back again

The jazz band of 10 musicians and a singer was excellent. The cover charge for music was $10. There were about 50 visitors, which means each musician got $50 for 3 hour show. This is lower then the rate of a cleaning lady today.
Public comes to that place only due to a nice music. The bar owners use this to rip them off. They charge $20 for a hamburger and another $8 for fries. I ordered a smoked brisket sandwich, expecting sliced brisket on a sandwich size bread. Instead, they served a small hamburger bun with about 30 gramm of of shredded meat for $20 and another $8 for a small order of fries.

Good food, service great, atmosphere was fantastic live bands are amazing good times to be had!

The pulled pork was terrible. More like pulverized and mashed pork. The Mac and Cheese was tasteless.

If you enjoy good BBQ, this ain't the place to go.

Such a sick vibe inside, i went for cansell event and it was a banger! Neon signs everywhere, long bar with professional bartenders, dj c-lo bumping hot tracks, big venue with good atmosphere

Comfortable setting, spacious with great live bands. The food is nothing to write home about, the service is decent. Friendly staff.

Went to hear Danny Marks playon Sunday afternoon at 3pm. He's there the first Sunday of every month. This is the old Chicken Deli location. It's big, well-lit and clean

Extremely disappointed. In my reviews over time, I've never posted many negative ones but this is a post I wanted to communicate to people as I would never want anyone to experience this type of embarrassment when they're on a date.

Made a reservation for Nov 11 after a very pleasant visit the week prior watching a friend perform at this bar. The reservation was for 2 - it was a date. Thought I could bring someone here to enjoy this place. Quite the opposite. My reservation for 7: 45pm was not honoured after showing up on time. Was told by the staff that there was a "Private Event" going on tonight. However, I was able to pay $20 cover per person in order to be apart of the private event. So despite showing up before 8pm as stated on their website, regardless of my booking which was for 7: 45pm where I was going to get dinner and then purchase more drinks to have a great time, they told me, I can pay $20 per head because it's now considered a private event.

What was really disappointing was that I booked a reservation from their homepage with no indication that night was going to be a private event night. What was more disappointing was the lack of communication from management to advise any guests, that did make a reservation, about the private event so if they choose to cancel, they can do so. So we took an Uber there, got ready for dinner, all for nothing. Very disappointing indeed.

I certainly hope no one else goes through these issues.

Lots to drink and eat. The live music is worth it. Really talented people come to perform. Great neighbourhood spot!

We had a celebration of life party here. The staff were so accommodating. The service was great, the food was great and it's beautiful inside. Thanks so much to the staff I'm very grateful. They have good live music as well.

Definately worth a visit.

Service was average at best and food definitely wasn't worth the price. The brisket was dry and very chewy but the sides were good. The ambiance was good.

The old man waiter was too rude. We visited there last Sunday. He hinted that it was time to leave even it was 10: 30.keep standing right behind of us for no reason, but I gave them 18percents tip bc the waitress there was pretty nice.

Went on a Thursday night for some beers and food. Large dining and patio seating available. Food was okay, nothin great. Patio vibes were great.

Very hit and miss. I’ve had the brisket and Mac and cheese from them multiple times and it seems like each time it’s different.

Sometimes it’s fantastic, nice and tender and flavourful. Other times it’s fatty and tough to eat. Really your luck.

Went there with few of my friends. There was a beautiful live performance and we had so much fun. Food is tasty and comes in great portion. Good variety of drinks available and our server was super nice and friendly. Would definitely go back:)

Fun atmosphere that’s unique for the neighborhood. Brisket, ribs, coleslaw, sweet potato fries, Mac and cheese were all delicious! So nice to sit on a patio, have fresh food served to me and a fresh pint of beer. Very attentive service. Will come back for sure.

Smokeshow is a fun environment with great drinks, amazing food and live classic rock tunes! Definitely a place for all drinking ages!

Had the bbq platter and everything was so delicious! Favourites included the brisket and the onion rings and the big slab of wood the platter was served on was pretty cool too.thanks for the great night

I will give 2 stars based on the fact that they had some great live music and super friendly service. Slow but thats managements fault!

Mac and cheese was the worst my wife and I have ever had. Salty marble cheese lumps with water and macaroni! Yuck.

Pulled pork (boiled pork with bbq sauce). Hopefully it gets better with the reopening! Will try again.not too soon though. Great patio space

Food was excellent! Had the chicken, ribs, slaw, fries, beans and sticky toffee (best I've ever had). All comes in biodegradable containers and the servings are all very generous. Definitely a must try and a very big welcome to finally have Bbq at Y&E

Portions were very healthy and we have plenty left for lunch.

As someone who’s never been a thick saucy rib person, this was a really pleasant surprise.

Jalapeño poppers and onion rings had a nice crispness to them.

Got some delivery - ribs with spicy BBQ sauce, jalapeno cheddar cornbread, and slaw.

Ribs were quite good, though the spicy BBQ sauce is not spicy in the slightest. Not even a tiny bit. Just a general sweet sauce. Fairly tender.

I've always been a creamy slaw person, and this coleslaw was great. Cabbage was fresh and crunchy, dressing was seasoned very well and just the right amount to not be too wet.

Cornbread was very disappointing. It's an interesting flavour profile, but I think I prefer standard sweet cornbread better. The piece was also small for $6, and very dry. Crumbled everywhere as I ate it.

I also didn't particularly appreciate that tipping is mandatory. I tip anyway, but I don't like being forced to do it.

Overall not a bad experience but I'm unsure if I'd patronize the restaurant again.

Beautifully renovated. Great service. Best place in the area to watch sports. The ribs and baked beans are delicious!

My friend and I walked in to just grab food and go. I ordered burger and fries and she ordered burger and mac and cheese. The burger was out of this world and so was the mac and cheese. The staff was very knowledgable and helpful. The waitress took the time to listen to our needs and recommend options. We had a wonderful positive experience and plan to visit often.

My wife and I have been ordering from local restaurants every weekend during the pandemic and this has been both the most expensive and most disappointing meal we have had in years. It would have been overpriced at half the price. I feel completely ripped off.

Brisket was tough and unevenly heated as were the ribs. In fact the ribs were darker around the edges suggesting they had been reheated. The potato salad was bland and probably the worst we had ever tasted and the mac and cheese was like something you would get in a cafeteria. All the food was ugly as well. Key lime pie was rubbery.

I actually have nothing good to say about this food at all. The delivery guy was the only pleasant part of the experience. Would have been better off spending less to order two big beautiful steak dinners with sides and appetizers from The Keg.

Great food and service. Was really impressed with their smoked ribs and wings. Amazing. We also had the most decadent Deep fried churro? WOW. 5 star. Definitely going back again and again.

If you like to enjoy some Texas style BBQ, then this is the place - you won't be disappointed.

We ordered take out tonight and it was fantastic. The smokehouse burger is the most delicious burger I have gotten this year. My neice had the chicken tenders and my mother in-law and my partner had the triple deker with corn bread and they were both satisfied. We will be ordering from here again and we will be telling our friends.

Probably one of the best fried chickens I've ever eaten. The brisket sandwich and ribs were also very good. Thanks to Cleo for the great service.

Had a great time! If you are looking for qreat meats and live music, this is definitely a place to checkout.

This place is a genuine bbq spot. Thanks to Mackenzie for the great servic she was on point and fully explained the menu. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. Full rack of rib was super tender and smoked to excllence, brisket was just as tender. Corn bread was meh but otherwise awesome spot. Pool table and great atmosphere.

Nice restaurant with very good food and a good selection of beer. Like BBQ places like it they have a variety of slow cooked smoked meats. They also have a good selection of sides, several entries, and a number of hand held food. I've had all the main meats, several sides, and a few other things. Everything I've had has been very good. The quantity of individual meats is what you order. For everything else, you get a lot and it's very good with a lot of meat in it. The only thing I would like that they didn't have is 2 or 3 meat individual plates. You can order group platters and individual portions of each thing but it would be nice to have a combo like in other similar restaurants.

I can recommend it. Its my second favorite BBQ place that I've been too.

Was looking forward to bbq. No one greeted us at the door, and we had to pick our own table. No good bbq smell when you walk in. Ordered half rack of ribs ($18) and side sweet potato fries. The ribs were way undercook and not at all juicy (first bite, I started choking because of the poor trimming of the ribs). My bf's half chicken could have been a pigeon, it was so tiny. And undercooked, no flavour. His daughter's pull pork was dry and flavourless. Come here for tasteless and poorly cooked bbq. The chef needs to pay attention to the quality of the food. I am not being mean, I am being honest. Don't call yourself a smoke house if you aren't even interested in the bbq process.

It is a great addition to the neighborhood. Recently opened.

They still have to iron out a few details with the service after the opening, but the servers are attentive. The food matches the price.

They seem to be kid friendly too.

No other BBQ in Toronto like this! The place to go for drinks, dinner and dancing! The live rock and roll was awesome.
