Our experience with Snelgrove Veterinary Services has always demonstrated to us compassion and caring over many years for our cat Leo. Never more so than when we had to say goodbye to Leo. The compassion, caring and attention shown by Dr. Natalie Scorgie made this experience one of love for the family. Thanks to all the wonderful staff.
I’m very impressed with the care my dog received at this vet clinic. All the staff were so friendly, professional and they knew exactly how to handle my dog who can be quite nervous with strangers. They gave her lots of treats, pets, and praise. I can truly say my pup hardly even noticed the needles. Exactly the kind of care you would want for your fur babies. Would recommend!
STAY FROM AWAY FROM THIS CLINIC! They run all sorts of tests and never tell you how much something costs.only when you get the bill you will wonder why your bill is two and three times the amount. Then when you start asking for the breakdown the receptionist starts to give you attitude and turns the table making it seem you the problem! Found another vet and will never go back to this one! Scammers at their best!
Please read other reviews as many customers have had the same issue as we had. It's best practice to let customers know what there being charged for before you charge them!
Always amazing service and friendly staff! My berner, Murphy LOVES going to see the staff at the vet and they're always so sweet and gentle with him. The prices are also reasonable and they are upfront and honest!
Have used this vet for over 15 years for all my pets. A truly caring staff who understand the furry family members as well as the feelings of the pet owners. Have told many people about their service and will continue to do so.
My family and I have 5 cats and take them all to Snelgrove Veterinsry Services. Genuinely care about your fur babies. The greatest team with everyone just really pleasant. One of my cats was extremely ill about a year ago and she was taken care of with the utmost care. No stone unturned. So grateful for the care they provide. Absolutely wonderful staff.
Wonderful staff - very helpful in selecting the right products for my cat - only downfall was they are closed for one hour for lunch and unfortunately that is when I stopped by - just make sure you check their hours before going - everybody is super friendly
I recently took the plunge at switching vets. We were going to a place in Brampton, however the vet that was so good with cats was only in on certain days and it was becoming inconvenient.
Our newest addition was needing to be spayed and we took her for her shots and arranged the spay after that.
I cannot tell you, how much I recommend this vet office. You can see how much the staff and vet love and care for animals. Their interest is in the animal, not the bottom line. The staff were just amazing and I feel so good about making the switch for my fur babies. I have two cats and they will both be going here from now on.
They are still continuing their business with all COVID practices in place which I love. I’m not there yet with taking my mask off, and they have it figured out how to have patients be with their babies while they’re being checked out.
If there were a million stars, I’d give it to them! This office is top notch!
When I originally went to Snelgrove I was extremely unhappy. After posting my negative review, Pattie reached out to me to find out what had happened. They provided me another opportunity to visit. I decided to try again after speaking with her. I felt heard, understood and she took her time with me on the call, even though it was evident the clinic was busy at the time of the call.
We arranged for my puppy's vaccinations within 2 weeks of that call. They moved the original amount for my first visit to my vaccination visit which made me very relieved as the first visit I paid $103 for deworming pills and a 10 min checkup - which was awful to watch, the original vet did not even finish the checkup because of his anxiety. She told me his behavior is abnormal and basically sent us on our way with the deworming pills.
This time my puppy was taken care of by Dr. Jessica and her incredible assistant. I was very pleased with the tenderness and patience they both provided my puppy. He was still extremely nervous, but with very little socialization it was understandable, she asked me questions regarding his life before I got him which could be a reason for his anxiety. She took her time, allowed him to become comfortable enough. Offered to let me place the muzzle on him and made him feel as comfortable as he could. She gave me information, answered my questions, gave him free nail trimming and offered for me to bring him by anytime for a visit. I was given a booklet full of information regarding new puppies, how to socialize them during COVID and some tips and tricks to caring for him. It was exactly what I had hoped for from my visit. After his appointment was done, he was clearly in much better spirits than the first time. I will be continuing to go back to Snelgrove and hope Dr. Jessica can continue to work on him.
Ive just gotten a puppy and I was really looking for the right vet to have for life. I did a lot of research and the reviews for Snelgrove were by far the best and I can see why. The staff is extremely friendly and gentle with the animals, you can tell right away. I've had to call a few times since getting my puppy for a few different minor reasons and questions, but each time the staff is very friendly on the phone and can see me right away or do their best to help. They are helpful and kind, and the vets as well. Really happy I went with Snelgrove and I'm looking forward to them caring for my fur babies:)
I have been to many veterinarian clinics but this one I left with a smile and a feeling of, thankyou God. What I experienced was what I expect in a veterinarian's clinic.
Excellent place to take your pet. Extremely caring and the Vet and the assistant were fabolous. I would say call, the have numbers outside due to the Covid restrictions but the process works. I would recommend giving them a call if your looking for a vet in the area.
I am beyond grateful for snelgrove! Every one of the staff members are extremely friendly and compassionate. I was updated continuously throughout my cats stay, any questions I had were answered, staff are very informative and knowledgeable. I had no worries or doubts about my cats well-being while in their care. I highly recommend snelgrove.
Everyone there is so caring and thoughtful even during this pandemic. I can't say enough good things about the staff and the level of service I received during a very painful time of losing my fur baby. Highly recommend.
This Veterinary clinic was the first place I took my pup. The staff is great, customer service oriented and the Doctors are caring and kind. It's a great place to take you big or little fluffs!
Misdiagnosed my dog, only gave us information they wanted us to hear and just overall they lost our trust.
My parents have been bringing the family dog here for everything since it's 5 mins away from our house, and everything was fine such as vaccinations and check ups, but when my older boxer starting having back leg issues is when they showed their true colours. They diagnosed him with a torn ACL that would require surgery (this is true) but we did not feel like the issue was that bad and our dog wasn't showing pain, so we decided to try him on pain meds for a while to see if that would have any effect to which we were Informed our dog would be on medications for the rest of his life. We did not feel comfortable medicating our dog for the rest of his life with trazodone and meloxacam so I did my own research and found out torn ACLs are extremely painful and MUST have surgery to be fixed. So we went for a second opinion and the vet at another clinic (VCA) recommended to try a high glucosamine veterinary diet, but if it was indeed a torn ACL this would not do anything and our dog would still need surgery. 8-10 weeks later on Royal Canin Advanced Mobility Support and a couple checkups at another clinic and all my dogs issues are gone proving it could not have been a torn ACL. There was no mention at all from Snelgrove about this food, and when I called to ask why not I was told "the food at the pet store is the same at half the price". A 10 second glance at the back of both bags of food will tell you that's a total lie. Makes me think this place just wants to sell you drugs and surgeries. I'm most upset about the surgery, what if I agreed to let them cut into my dog only to find out it was not a torn ACL, but something else that didn't need surgery (obviously he didn't because my dog is fine now). I understand clients are not allowed to go into clinics at all due to covid, but the workers at Snelgrove that would come get my dog from my car couldn't even control the dog enough to get into the clinic (runt size boxer at 60-70 pounds). No my dog isn't trained properly but the other vet clinic employees weren't being dragged across the lawn by him. Just makes me think what they had to do to control him when I wasn't in the clinic. I drive 30 minutes out of my way for a clinic now because I refuse to go Snelgrove.
Also- just want to say my choice had nothing to do with money or cost- the monthly medicine bill from Snelgrove was about $70 (meloxacam and Traz if you're wondering) and the new food he is on is over $200 that I gladly pay so my dog doesn't have to have meds running through his body for the rest of his life. I recommend and tell everyone in the area I know to stay away. 99% sure the vet at Snelgrove gets paid on commission.
I started taking my pup when he was about 5 or 6 months old. My pup is now 2-years old, and I can’t imagine going anywhere else. Very knowledgeable staff, and they have great customer service. Any question I have, I get a great answer. My pup always enjoys going. I was a little worried now that they have their appointments behind closed doors (as in I couldn’t go in with my pup due to the pandemic) ; however, my pup came out smiling and the service was just as amazing. Always a great experience, wouldn’t take my dog anywhere else.
Very caring veterinarians and staff who truly have a passion for animals. You can rest assured knowing that your fur babies are in good hands here and will be provided with only the utmost care. A huge thank you to the amazing Dr. Julia Perit and all of the wonderful staff at Snelgrove Veterinary Services for taking great care of my cat, Twix. Your work is heavily appreciated!
When I scheduled the appointment to bring my dog in for vaccinations as a 1st time client I made it Very clear that I had to come in with him (despite recent Covid restrictions) as he has bad separation anxiety (I rescued him when he was 2yrs). I was told they would make an exception due to my circumstances. I showed up for my appt and was told that whomever I spoke to did not make a note of the exception, didn't remember our conversation and they wouldn't honour the agreement. They offered no alternatives, such as sending the vet outside to see my dog. My dog is a blood donor and I had the blood work, fecal and urinalysis records sent over so they already know he must be very healthy or he wouldn't be able to donate. They have lost a potential client because they are unprofessional, uncompromising, and inept.
Unfortunately, I HAVE to give them 1 star, they truly deserve 0. The receptionists are HORRIBLE here! I phoned asking about pet cremation, to which I was snapped at "This is a VET office" before they slammed the phone down on me. As if this time wasn't difficult enough. I will NEVER take any of my animals here if they can't handle the people end of things correctly.
If you want the best possible care for your pet this is the place. Dr McQueen you are Amazing. Gabby's owners Dawn Kevin McDonald. Thank you always and forever
They took great care of my wheaten terrier for 14 years and I am now going to get a whippet puppy. I will definitely be going back to their clinic. Stephanie was a great vet and I am looking forward to going back.
Were happy with their answers to minor questions. And vet visits. Prices good. No issues. Dogs not afraid to go. So win win. For us. Tks Snelgrove vet service
The biggest mistake I have ever made in my life was, after twenty-five years as Dr. Suzanne McQueen being my veterinarian, because I was even further away from the clinic which was already a fair distance for us, and her appointments became only available at the clinic two mornings per week, and with my cats becoming senior, that I thought it might be better if I found a close by vet. If I could only turn back time and remove that huge mistake. Dr. McQueen you deserve a 10/5 rating. I have already returned for one appointment, and regardless of distance et al, you are our veterinarian for as long as you continue. Thank you.
Brought my dog there two weeks ago because his eyes were red so Doctor gave us a tube to put in his eyes paid for everything as they asked and left because my dog being a puppy i had hard time controlling him properly medicine was supposed to be for one week but i only got three to four days out of that. His eyes are little better but thought to get refill to finish the full course i went to the clinic to get that, and doctor said they cant give it me because it has steroid in it which i understand so i have to bring the dog and get him reexamined which is fine but pay the fee again but only half at this time and i said its a same recurring issue within two weeks and i am still purchasing the product from you guys shouldn't you wave the fees since i just paid for the same thing.i love the place and i have always paid what i have been told and have never asked for anything and i dont have any problem paying but its the principle and i dont think its fair for them to charge me for the service i already paid for, so that tells me that every one out there is for money grab which is not nice because i did like the place.i might have to bring my dog elsewhere where its not all about money all the time.
Been taking my future babies to Snelgrove, for almost 18 years. The staff is so kind, and they have helped us a few times now, with saying goodbye to some cherished family pets. Their grace, and empathy in those situations, is matched by their warm smiles, and caring spirits, whenever we walk through the door. Great place, to bring your pets, for all their medical needs.
The care and service was amazing Treating our dogs like members of the family. Making us feel like we matter as well. Dr Jessica is absolutely the best doctor and it really shows how much she loves each animal. She remembers her clients and their pets like they are park of her family. That is a great quality to have. The assistants are all very caring and attentive too.
Prices are through the roof compared to a lot of other locations specially with the drugs. Also they do not know how to apologize or compensate you when they mess up. They will bill you enormously for the smallest things. X-ray at another clinic that I found is half the price compared to these guys. Doctors are great but why bother with such terrible service and heartless people. They messed up my dog's prescription and almost killed her. Bye bye Snelgrove!
For the most part i've been happy with the service here, My only issue was when I had my dog put down. I really didn't appreciate having pamphlets shoved in my face 20 minutes prior to my dog leaving us. I understand that you need to pick an urn ect.if you're using these services but being pressured into picking what colour urn your dog goes into when you haven't even been able to comprehend the loss was really distressing for me. My hopes is that the staff finds a better way to approach this, as it can make the loss a lot easier on the owner.
They just love our Pooch (Paquito) as much as we do, real loving people for any Fury family member, will recommend them all the way to anyone! Thanks Snelgrove Vet team!
