Sobeys Amherstburg

All shelves were full of merchandise. Staff was very helpful in checking out. A great shopping experience. Had money left ovee o my card.

This is the only store I used to get my groceries at. Lately I'm having a hard time with the prices. I know everything went up everywhere but if I can find the same items cheaper somewhere else I have to follow my pocketbook.

I was looking for a birthday cake for my daughter and there isn't much to choose from in Amherstburg. I went to Sobeys and they didn't have what I wanted in their display case but I was asked what I was looking for, and they had it in their freezer. They promptly pulled it out, wrote on the cake and gave me candles. Fantastic service. Thank you Sobeys!

There were multiple teenish age employees acting like they didn't want to be there and talked about how they wanted work to end. Like, I don't care or want to hear about your wanting to get off work. Just do your stupid job and keep your attitude and whining to yourself.

I used to love the quality and freshness of our local store, but recently have changed my mind. We received flower arrangements and they looked frezer burnt and wilted. Also a fruit basket that we had to throw the majority of fruit out, as it was bad right after receiving it, and just yesterday bought arugula that we ended up having to pick through for the good stuff. May have to start shopping fresh in Windsor. Very disappointing

The new owners are horrible. Treating the old staff like garbage and firing anyone that had anything to do with the old owners. People that have been the greese on the wheels for the past ten years being let go for nothing but the new owners egos. Shame on you!

I always shop at Sobeys and it was the cleanest and well stocked store compared to most, since the previous owner/operator retired recently the store is looking dirty and horrible. The shelves are not stocked or neat as they were and the meat department is disgusting, everything is thrown and all over the place, you go for the specials and there's nothing there or very limited. What a difference an operator can make in the way a store is handled and presented to the consumer. Time to shop elsewhere.

Excellent staff in floral with such high quality flowers! I bought these roses, the first photo is the bouquet after a week, and the second is half of them still going after more than 2 weeks. I only buy roses at Sobeys because the quality is so much better than anywhere else.

Also it seems like the store has been so much cleaner in the last few months, loving whatever changes have been made!

Great store, very clean and the staff are helpful and friendly. The dagwood sandwiches are fantastic.

Sobey's offers a great selection of grocery items, fresh meat, fruits and vegetables and freshly baked bread and rolls. Prices are moderate. Conveniently located on main street in Amherstburg.

Love this place to do my groceries. Fresh produce and meat. Aisle ways clean and organised, with good selection. Worth travelling from Lasalle.

Sobeyes is always clean and fresh, hot and cold deli for a monster party sandwich or a lil something for lunch either way it's got it all.

They always have what I'm looking for but very Expensive, I only go there when I can't find what I'm looking for somewhere else, one or two items Max.

All their produce is rotten. Bought container of tomatoes yesterday for $7.00 and all but one was rotten. I HATE THIS SOBEYS. Waste of money. Do not buy anything from them after a holiday. Instead of NOT putting out rotten produce, they happily put out rotten food and try and charge you full price for it so you can throw it away at home. Their bread was past their sell dates as well. AND YES. IT WAS OUT THERE FOR SALE.
The health department should shut them down. Support Walmart instead. Forget supporting local.

I like the selection at this store, and if you're looking for sausage try the ones they make in-store, the honey garlic and campfire hot varieties are amazing!

They sell rotten produce all the time. Went in yesterday, bought tomatoes and threw all but one out. Everything else they had was rotten as well if not expired. Instead of tossing their rotten expired produce in the trash, they sell it at a premium. Shop elsewhere.
