Sobeys Aurora Bayview

I come with my boyfriend once per week to get some food because food used to be good. Sadly food area is getting worse. The last 3 times we came, food was awful and dry but today seemed like the pizza was there for days, very dry, the dough was very hard, not good flavour and everything in the warm area looked the same.

Nice store wide variety. Voila and the store are not the same. Some items are not available at the store.

The displays and cleanliness is amazing. Variety is plenty. Unfortunately a little pricey but not much different than most hig end grocery stores out there. In all, I had a good experience and would return if needed.

I love shopping at this store because they have fresh produce and all foods are super fresh all the time. Store is always clean. Friendly great customer service experience at all times. Thank you.

I love Sobeys because the quality of food is consistent and their deli has many healthy options. Love their Fish market too!

Great store, great employees and great atmosphere. I immediately felt a sense of comfort and welcoming when I first walked in. Loved every department from HMR to Deli. Definitely would suggest coming here!

I’m regular visitor to the store and I wouldn’t agree with all comments that say the store’s produce is fresh. Look at the berries section. The berries / grapes are shriveled, frost damaged and some are covered in mold. On several occasions I found products on shelves and freezers past expiry date…. And all that at premium prices. Same brand of food would be a buck cheaper at Longos (a block away). I’ve been observing this for months and during different seasons and I see the same results. The store needs a change of management

Great store with wide aisles, good lighting.well stocked shelves, fresh produce and a good bakery selection, I enjoyed shopping here. Loads of parking.

Store is clean and has a different atmosphere than most.
Produce is fresh and well stocked.
Meat department is clean and fresh meats, on display.
Good Deli as well as Fish counter.
Fresh bakery as well.

Great store.a little pricey, the 3 stars is because they have unmasked shoppers and it didn't seem the staff cared.

Amazing store, love how they have so many different cheeses! Definitely one of my favorite stores.

A great place to shop for the holidays. Although the prices are a bit high, the quality is good and their selection is amazing.

Staff is great but dealing with products are not 100%.
Order a customized cake for my 1 year old 4 days before.
When go there to pick it up.already gave to some One without any confirmation, when ask, staff says that the person is in rush and shouting so they made a mistake.
They offer me a new one with discounts but not the same as i want so i didnot take it.
They are very kind but it is my first experience there. Might be i am wrong. Thats

Meat is terrible. Especially anything ground ground beef, ground chicken. Cheap low tier food. Organic section is more expensive then Natures emporium. Good shopping when you have no options. Lognos or Natures better choice

Some of the employees clearly hate their jobs and are there just to make some money. Plus they way they market the “buy more save more” is a complete scam, you think you’re buying 2 for the price that’s listed but its not the case

I came here to pick up one single item. The employee at the front refused my entry into the store without taking a cart inside. Apparently, it is store policy that all shoppers must take a cart. I don't see how or why this is a logical requirement.

One issue I have is that the plastic vegetable and fruit bags are impossible to open and it makes it very frustrating to bag the produce
Get new types of bags like other supermarkets

This grocery store deserves no stars. Rude and miserable workers, lineups outside when the place is dead, express line up ppl have to stand with ppl with full carts and everything is over priced. If you want your day ruined, shop here.

The grey/blond haired woman with the British accent is extremely rude! I was at self check out using a coupon and she told me I cannot use a coupon there an i had to go to customer service after I had already scanned my items. I asked her why, it’s just a simple coupon. She became irritated and aggressively snatched the coupon of out my hand and went to her system and entered it - so simple, but this small act made her very angry. Not sure why.isn’t this her job? She continued to glare at me as I walked out. Guess she has other issues and takes things out on customers. Strange.

Sobeys is a great store to shop! I frequent it a couple times a week! Things cost a little bit more but the cleanliness of the store is what brings me back. The staff are very pleasant. Sarah at the checkouts always has something positive to say and is very kind!

Best laid out grocery store I've been in. I encourage anybody that shops here to purchase at least one of the food parcel bags at checkout for $5.00 and place it in the donation bin on your way out. They go to the Aurora Food Pantry for distribution to those that are dealing with food insecurity in town.

Clean and well stocked with eye catching merchandizing. Layout of store is a little confusing. You are going to pay extra for the pretty store. E. G. Large pomegranate juice. $14.99 competitors regular price $9.97.and they don't even bag your grocery's for the extra pricing, but they do use paper not plastic.

Poor experience. Overall got my groceries and everything was in stock. However, cashier was extremely unprofessional and rude, on phone while doing business.

There always an issue with cell phone signals in the store. It happened with me twice that I have to call my wife to ask something but couldn’t get any signal at all. Don’t know what is the reason

Why do we still have to make a line outside when there is only a few customers inside? COVID cases are very low now, you should let more customers shop at the same time instead of making us wait outside 20 minutes on a 40 degrees wheater.

Went in for a few items. Did not need a cart I was forced to take a cart the lady said for "social distancing". As I walked in nice baskets of Peaches $3.99. I picked up my few items an proceeded to the express checkout. The cashier sent me all the way to the end by the freezer section and said that's where you have to line up. There was a long line and I noticed everyone had full carts. I waited for a little while no one from the store was directing the customers to the checkouts. I asked a few people ahead of me if they were waiting for the express checkout. They said no so I proceeded right back to where I was told to go get in the long line up. Then the same cashier told me to leave the peaches in the card and put everything else on the belt. When I got to the car I checked my bill and she had charged me $6.99 for the peaches. I had to go back into the store and she kept insisting that the sign said $6.99. I said come and I will show you the sign says $3.99. Finally she sent a young cashier with me and they saw the sign. There were two different signs. Very bad experience there today.

Great grocery store. Very good food selection, friendly staff, large, wide aisles. Prices are a bit high, but the value equation is quite good.

Store is always clean! Vegetables and everything else is always fully stocked. My go to place for grocery.

My favorite grocery store in Aurora/Newmarket. Its very well kept and always super clean. The employees are nice. They have a ton of selection in the fresh foods area, the salmon is great. Highly reccomend.

Clean, organized and well stocked grocery store. Higher end grocery store but well worth the trip.

Fresh produce, fresh bakery goods, fresh deli and hot food as well.

Even though this store is on the higher end of grocery stores it is well worth it if you don't mind paying.

One of the better options for shopping in Aurora. It can be pricey compared to other options in the area, but if you shop sales you won't overspend. Produce is better quality than superstore, not always the same as longo's, but the prices are reasonable.

Good/friendly service, but wish they had a points program other than Air Miles. Air Miles is horrendous.

Good quality produce & fresh prepared items, friendly staff. Prices on certain staple items are absurd, can't justify buying here.

This place has great service. Daniel in the bakery was awesome and made sure my wife's birthday cake was prepared well.

I usually enjoy going to this Sobeys, However tonight I bought a watermelon that was rotten or laced with chemicals on the inside. The chemical was so strong it took several rinses to get the taste out of my mouth. For the 4 bucks Im not going to bother returning. I reported to CFIA Hopefully they are monitoring their produce and origin. I will not go there again if I can avoid this store.

I like this location a lot between this Sobeys and the Longo’s down the street I usually get everything I need. But I do prefer this Sobeys over all the other stores in the area.

Very disappointed. As an ethnic minority living in GTA all my life. Never felt discrimination. But this would be my first time at this Sobeys where the cashier wouldn't bag my grocery as she did all the other customers. Leaving me to bag them off to side and rushing to have me pay while I tried to keep up.

(Customer that was ahead of me got his groceries bagged and brought directly to his cart. As did the customer behind me. As I was still bagging my own groceries)
