Sobeys Beamsville

I visited the Sobeys Beamsville store again this afternoon. As always, I received excellent
service from the friendly efficient staff. During the past almost three years when the pandemic
greatly affected shopping experiences, i have found the staff at the Sobeys Beamsville store to be extremely helpful and friendly. A few staff members I would mention are Brenda, Carla and again today Kathy. They make my grocery shopping experiences pleasant. Thank You.

Update: August 27th 2023. The renovation is now complete. The store is beautiful.
The staff are very helpful as always. This morning, a lovely lady, Carol in the bakery helped me.
When I asked about a single piece of lemon meringue pie, she sliced one of the whole pies
into individual pieces, packaged them, with individual price stickers. I am so happy to have a
piece of my favourite pie. Thank you.

I would like to commend my cashier who served me today. Her name is Taylor. I was impressed
with her efficient service and more importantly, her friendly manner. Staff who make the customer
feel that they are important encourage the customer to want to return again, Well done.

Loved the store. Very clean. I just moved to the area. This will be my "GoTo " grocery store.

Decent experience. The parking lot entrance was a bit odd. Cashier I had was friendly but very slow

I ordered a birthday cake and, when I picked it up, I noticed that the best before date was for that day. (It had been taken from the display case.) I took it back to the bakery and a man - who I believe was the manager - took the cake and said he would get another cake from the freezer. He then told me that the special had expired and it was a dollar more. The dollar was not important. But, the attitude was: No apology for the inconvenience or for what was essentially a stale cake. This is the third birthday cake that has been a problem and, although I have shopped at this Sobeys for years, I will not be shopping there again.

I bought a plant and 4 pk of chocolate bars. The cashier really doesn't like her job. I would have half expected my live plant to be wrapped. People complain about self serve, one upside. You don't have to deal with disengaged lethargic staff. I was only visiting so I know I don't have to go back. Customer service is not a thing of the past.

Years ago I stop going here cause a staff member told me to F-off. Now I only go to pick up things for work.

It's a Sobeys they are all the same, and not much different from any of their competition. For the price you pay, you should expect quality produce, meat and seafood. Staff is abit friendlier than other stores though.

Bright and clean supermarket. Plenty parking. Very neat and organized. Great customers service. Staff was friendly & polite. Great shopping experience!

Have a Sobey's close to home but choose to go out of my way to this location. This location is always well-stocked, clean, orderly, and staff are always very pleasant and efficient. Also, they seem to have a larger selection of vegan products than most other locations. If I had one negative, it is that their regular prices are slightly on the more expensive side but their sale prices are great!

Sobeys is a darn good grocery store.
If you need some groceries.its your place, and hey you may need wine or beer you can get that here too.

It's a fairly standard grocery store. They have most every product you can think of. Most items were comparably price with similar stores.

I didn't find anything amazing about the store. But it was clean and it had everything we needed.

Store is well organized, prices can be a little high but they have a good variety of products, both fresh and ready to make.

Used to be good.now fruit veggies are rotting (pu bag potatoes the rotting smell and fruit flies was awful and that was detected through a mask). Pu a dip off shelf had mold on it.two weeks in a row ice tea none of shelves stocker says 4 skids in back he can't get to.forcing me to shop elsewhere.note to stores if something is popular put more of it out! How ridiculous

This location is better than most local Sobeys. Located close to QEW, there is plenty of parking as well. This location sells alcohol and actually has a reasonable selection. Produce is typical for Sobeys. The time I visited they only had three registers open but wasn't too slow.

The staff need a lesson on customer service and just a general lesson on how to treat/respect others. An elderly cashier by the name of Kathy decided to mouth off a customer then proceeded to make fun of and laugh about it with another customer. She should be fired. Absolutely disrespectful. Bullying should never be tolerated. Maybe she should consider retiring if she is that miserable.

Went in to get a couple of things, spent 5 minutes shopping and 25 in line. They only had 3 cashier's all of which where seniors. Not to mention the prices are crazy compared to all other grocery stores.

This place does not have the stereotypical lazy, young staff. They are helpful, friendly, and easily approachable. If they don't know the answer to your question, they will quickly find someone to help or work with you to figure it out.

Not very organized, making pies but had to walk around quite a bit to get supplies from different isles, cashier was great

Just came home from shopping! Wanted to compliment the bakery on the new LEMON dough nuts.

Awesome clean, has every kind of food a person wants and needs, friendly services prices bit high for single mom like $2: more for most items but that's way it is

Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Tom, Nancy, Kevin and many others are dedicated employees at this location and it shows. The store has a great selection of products to offer. Each department has a variety to choose from. The store is kept well stocked, organized and is clean. Products from receiving are put on shelves in a timely manner and are never left sitting around long in the aisles. Parking lot has plenty of available parking. Covid19 measures here are taken seriously.

Good place to shop. Friendly staff. Very clean store. Lots of variety. Take air miles. I recommend this store.

I like shopping at Sobeys Beamsville. There is always lots of parking. Store is very clean. The staff is curtious and helpful. Now with covid-19 they even have someone to greet you as you come into the store. They provide you with a clean cart and offer you some hand sanitizer. I like their selection of meats and fish. Today I purchased rib eye steaks. We barbecued them and they were delicious. Just melt in your mouth!

It's ok. It's maybe just above "no frills", it has some frills! And some slightly inflated prices. But it's a decent to shop.
Bring your own bags. There's only 10¢ each paper bags if you don't have your own. No more plastic bags.

One of the best grocery stores in metropolitan Beamsville area. Always has good produce and good sales every week. This store has quite a good selection of wines from multiple wineries around the Niagara region and the world.

Small but decent Sobeys.everything you need for a quick lunch on the way.also very close to Dollarama if that's your thing

Good staff, great bakery, also they sell alcohol now and have a nice selection of beer and wine

May 23- morning.
Not happy with the safety procations in place. Person in entrance was wearing mask, and was wiping down carts. So far so good.

There's arrows telling what way to go. No one was following them. No employees were enforcing the customers to follow them.

Even though an announcement played saying to follow the arrows.

Wanted sliced deli meat but counter was closed. Sign said for safety, that makes sense. While over there saw people making sandwiches and stuff. Only 2 people (blonde girl and brown haired lady) had masks of some sort on! These people are TOUCHING FOOD that I can't wash. Why close the fresh meat slicer when all the other stuff is out in the open too. Either shut it all down or at least make employees WEAR MASKS. Also there was like 6 people in the deli. Only 2 wearing masks. And they were all NOT social distancing. Most were within 2 feet of eachother. You play the recording and want us to follow yet your employees dont?

Then I went to the bakery because their fresh bread and buns are delicious. They also had signs up stopping certain things for safety. Makes sense.
What doesn't make sense is seeing your Baker or whoever (blonde) touching dough with BARE HANDS, coughing without COVERING HER MOUTH and doesn't even stop to WASH HER HANDS! Also no mask. And the younger lady packing buns (blonde) WITH NO GLOVES ON, and was eating something off the tray WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS after. No mask. There were a few other people in there too, no masks. And they were closer than the deli people!

And produce was putting out fruits right beside eachother. You have signs up saying to stay 2 meters away From eachother, yet they're right beside eachother, no masks, no gloves. At least I can wash the fruit.

The cashiers are the only ones that are doing good. They have masks or something, have gloves, and plastic shield things to protect them. Making people line up away from eachother and wiping down the conveyer belt thing. Your other employees can take notes from them!

Sobeys is really dropping the ball here. I don't know if it's just this location (I mean thorald Sobeys isn't any better with an actual sick person working) but I'm not going to find out. I ended up grabbing some packaged buns and bread. (The stock boy was wearing a plastic mask). And packaged meats (The lady putting them out had no mask but did have gloves. And I can wash the package)

I grabbed some boxed food I needed, but only ended up getting 1/4 of what I planned on, the aisles were too crowded and people going both ways. I didn't feel comfortable.

I ended up driving all the way to Fortinos because I heard they were taking this seriously. And when I went there, they are miles ahead of you guys. You need to step it up! People's lives are at stake.

April 5th 2020-evening around 6: 30pm male older sobeys worker with states they are limiting number of people in store and don't want couples coming in understandable due to social distance. As I am waiting in car for my boyfriend the same male worker allows 3 other couples in within a span of 15 mins. If you are making rules imply them to everyone not just pick and choose couples.

When you walk into the store the smell of cooking food and ready to go food is perfect for me since my trucking company is around the corner. Shelves are stocked up good deals

Nice new store but, disappointed with lack of organic produce. Also there we few options in the ready to eat section for vegetarian and vegans. Easy access and plenty of parking.

I come here mostly for the hot lunches. Would avoid the "daily pasta feature" - or as my colleague calls it "spaghetti regret-y". Everything else is decent.

The place is normally clean and tidy. It has a good atmosphere, most of the time. The customer service desk typically has fantastic customer service. A couple of the cashiers could use some customer service lessons, as they come across as rude and unhelpful.

Came in on Monday late afternoon (12/09/19) for a few things. Was greeted by the friendliest cashier. Didn’t think to look at her name. Already in the Christmas spirit wearing her red and green. I was touched by her warm smile and helpful nature. While waiting to be cashed out, couldn’t help overhear her being admonished for wearing her festive attire by a superior. Sad! Well, she made my day in those few short minutes. I’m quite sure others were also touched! Kudos to her in Red and Green.

They keep changing things around and discontinue a product that I use on a regular basis! So now I go to Longos

Clean, fresh produce, small but good seafood section, a lot of variety, very helpful staff. A lot pricier than some but good quality pretty well assured.

Ordered catering trays and a birthday cake for my Mother's 80th birthday party. Food was great, food was ready when promised and 2 ladies (wish I had written down their names) went out of their way to get the food from deli and other trays in the back together as quickly as possible. Above and beyond thank you for being part of my Mother's birthday celebration A+

Very friendly staff. Waited a while for the deli counter tho and there wasn't anyone in front of me

The store isn’t the greatest of Sobeys but they do carry some brands that I really like (albeit inconsistently), so it’s somewhat convenient when I’m in the neighbourhood. Their produce section is just sad. Thankfully the younger staff are really really pleasant and helpful, because the older staff are ABSOLUTELY AWFUL (very rude, you always get the feeling they don’t want to help you) - make whatever assumptions you want.if you just need basics, you’re better off going to another grocery store 5 min away.

Great service. I needed 40 cupcakes done last minute. Kayla in the bakery was extremely helpful, and did an amazing job on my cupcake cake.
