Expensive, sometimes they have good deals. For example, they sell buckwheat for 6.99 while you can buy it for 3.99 at Food Basics.

Pretty good but it always seems like the final bill is higher than what it would have been at Walmart.

I'm usually just here to pick up something from Canada Post. Which is in such an awkward spot near the front.

Beyond that, it's your typical overpriced grocery fare.

We went to buy packages of chicken wings yesterday, June 30th. I opened the package today, found the “best before date “ on the package was June 22nd. I had always trust Sobeys, but not anymore, at least not their meat department.

This is a nice Sobeys. It's always well-stocked and has very friendly staff. I also love the amount of natural light that comes in.

It's not usually busy and it's a well laid out store that's good quality. It's drawback is it's expensive for everyday items.

Okay store but Easter seems to be on the "political incorrect" list along with Christmas.

I was berated by Melissa today at the first register closest to the door for two minutes in front of everyone for not wishing to purchase lottery tickets. I was purchasing two items, iced cream and Gluten Free Bagels, both available at any other store. I walk with a mobility aid (cane) and I am unable to lift, bend or twist. The treatment of people with disabilities by this individual is infuriating. This staff member could have kindly asked me to use a different till as that one was meant for lottery purchases, but instead went on to tell me about how the change was made 'last year' as if I a new resident who has shopped there twice before should have known? !

I will not return, and I will pay a dollar more for my bagels and iced cream than go to a store that employs people so ignorant towards people of different abilities.

Clean, well organized with friendly staff. Prices have become more competitive in recent days as well.

Super clean store with lots of energetic and enthusiastic staff running around who are super quick to help you, if you seem like you can't find what you need.

Lost my gloves while I was there shopping and hope they are sitting in the lost and found when I return in the near future! ;)

This Sobeys is the nicest grocery store in the region with a great bakery, and they sell cider, beer and wine.

This is my grocery store of choice. There are always friendly staff to answer any questions an get help if you need it. The quality and diversity of fruits and vegetables is amazing. With a deli, meat counter, pharmacy, a good selection of ciders and beers, international foods, frozen foods and complete dairy there is just about everything you can imagine. Don't see it, ask a manager but that was pre covid so supply issues have changed the world for all stores. The dairy bar is not as well stocked but that could be due to when I shop. Sunday night is quiet and I subbed milk brands and cereal. The temperature on the frozen fish cooler showed some fish beginning to thaw combined with the slight fishy smell delayed my purchase of frozen fish. I did speak to staff who spoke to other staff but did not hang around to follow up. There are now extra manual check outs. Most staff are very friendly and will help bag groceries if they have time. Overall staff friendliness is 9.5 out of 10. And did I mention the awesome pharmacy and post office. With a flower shop, pet and bird feeding supplies with a bit of sand and salt thrown in there is just about nothing you can't get or do with a helping hand. Thank you to the many friendly staff.
Covid guidelines are followed with wiped down carts, and alcohol gel on entry. Maximum numbers of shoppers are posted at the entrance. The aisles are clearly marked with arrows to try and direct shoppers.
The store is wheelchair accessible with 1 washroom available that is kept tidy despite the many users.
There are 2 sizes of cart available which makes it so handy for a little shop or a big shop. There used to be baskets too but I don't usually use them so I must admit I don't remember seeing them recently.

Bought fresh lamb chops to grill and serve guests. They were excellent. On the same trip, flowers. Beautiful arrangements with healthy contents.

No one at the entrance to the store cleaning carts and the large ones were stuck together so couldn't get them apart.

More expensive than other retail food suppliers at same quality levels.

I like this Sobeys especially because they always have a pretty good selection of vegan items. They have lots of variety of everything. But sometimes I do find their fresh fruits and vegetable are smaller in comparison to other grocery stores. Aside from this, they have an amazing variety of plants, dry and frozen foods, fresh baked goods, and their organic section is huge. Would love for them to provide more plant-based options.

Their pork belly is consistently the best in quality compared to other stores in Waterloo. Central Fresh Market is a close 2nd. T&T doesn't even come close despite having a larger selection.

This store is dangerous.

They have a propane cage directly beside the smoking area.

Very helpful clerk at the self-checkout. She would provide produce codes when they weren't read properly by the machine, and sometimes even before I looked them up. Like the general airiness and cleanliness of the store, and the friendly covid protocol staff at the entrance/exit.

Good location, its smaller and more basic than other sobeys but i always find what i need. Prices are a bit high on some items which is odd since the experience, brands and selection isn't typical sobeys so prices should be cheaper.

If you remove the two S's it says Obey, and you don't need to Roddy Piper with special glasses to see what that's about!

Not my first choice for groceries. Be sure to check out of date codes and often out of stock on sale items.

Good place you will find everything that you need. Micro greens sheets as well. The best thing about sobeys is you will have so so many vegetables to choose and vide variety of fruits. Well maintained as well.

One of my favorite Sobeys stores in KW area. Good selection, weekly specials are usually in stock. They carry my favorite baked in store bread-mountain bread. Also a great selection of beer and cider.

Beware, before buying any bakery /bread items please double check the expiry. Even before eating. It happened to me (it was started rotten while it was under expiry date). After multiple arguments, customer care had returned it finally. Not at all a good experience.

This place is very clean and well organized! But like all Sobeys, they are quite expensive. Except today I got yellow potatoes on sale for $1.88.

Not Sobeys per say, but they do staff the Canada post service, which is horrible. Just look at the reviews and compare it with the nearby Shoppers one, you would know it.
If the Sobeys store manager sees this, plz do something about it

It's an alright grocery store, clean with lots of selection yet never seems to have unsweetened unflavored almond milk. Limited selection of good north icecream. It's on the pricier side

It's a grocery store. They have groceries. Would have rated higher, but they discontinued Doritos flavours I like and that's somehow the store's fault.

Bought two boxes of the sliced pork belly. In both boxes, 4 out of 8 pieces are pure fat with less than 10% lean meats and those pieces are hidden at the bottom of the box so that it could not be seen from the outside. Play tricks and dishonest.

This is a very good place to shop, the store is very clean and spacious. Easy to get at products excellant bakery.
The Store Manager was very freindly and helpful. All staff seem pleasant.

Always feel safe here. Everyone wears masks and employees physical distance. Can usually find what we need.

The staff were friendly. The prices were outrageous even their own noname brands were overpriced. I shopped for some quick essential items but I did not expect to pay convenience store prices at a grocery store.

Usually I would rate this 5star. Today the self checkout machine was telling me I hadn't put my item in the bag.but I did. This happened repeatedly.so much so that I am now considering using only people manned checkouts because that are faster. My check out took me 20 mins because every second item had to be over-ridden and the lady rummaged through my items to verify I hadn't stole a pepper or cellary.

I bought mussels for a dinner party. I was embarrassed and shocked to see how small the mussel meat was! Less than the tip of my pinky finger! A real ripoff. I did not serve them.

The place is awesome! They have a Canada Post, which makes things easier. Also, the staff is very lovely and welcoming. I buy their roast chicken almost every week.

Very well organized, clean and well lit. Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely will shop there again.

Prices are at the higher end of mainstream grocery stores.

Hours aren't as good as the bridgeport location (24hrs there)

Otherwise, good availability of a variety stuff, most things are fresh and of good quality. Air miles can be collected and redeemed here which is nice. Lines usually aren't very long, which is nice. Plus students get 10% off on Tuesdays, which is cool.

After two years of shopping here, I've lots of good things to say about this store and its employees - always impressed how much it feels like a community. However, I am leaving this particular review because of the beer. Sobeys Columbia offers an outstanding selection of choice brews from local breweries, with an abundance of IPAs. Who's to thank for this? TJ. What a great guy - friendly and knowledgeable. I once pointed out to him that he was missing a lovely IPA from an Ontario brewery (Life in the Clouds from Collective Arts Brewing) and he responded instantly, "What's the name? I'll bring it in" - and there it was the next week and ever since. Subsequent conversations reinforce that his beer selection is a priority and source of pride. Thanks TJ for going the extra mile to show us locals what good customer service looks like, especially when combined with expert product knowledge and a friendly demeanour.

I ve always like this Sobeys location! Staff have always been awesome and friendly and location is always clean and well stocked!

I’m 66 years old and they asked me for ID to buy beer. I didn’t have my wallet on me so I just went to the liquor store next door where they served me without asking for ID.
How stupid is that!
Zehrs never asked me for ID when I purchased beer. I can see if I was 20 and looked young but like I said I am 66 years old.

Visited the post office outlet and find that I got a bit of a different treatment than previous customers. This is the 2nd time I have experienced it here. May not return here and drive a little more where I can get better service. Maybe my skin color
