Sobeys Glen Abbey

When I first came to the Canada from the UK this place looked and felt like an Asda, ie cheapo and low end. The layout, design, the look and feel. Instead it's just an overpriced supermarket. Only been 3 times since 2018. Much rather go Fortino's, No Frills or Metro

First time that I can remember I was in a Sobeys in the store was awesome. First of all it was super clean. Secondly all the shelves were stocked.

The candy vine tomatoes i brought two for 5.99 $ i got 7.99 charge for both and got last 2 fulllest all the other one was open but am going to argue no not going to return it because the cashier was nice at helping me with my bag thank you Enzo

I usually visit this because it's open late night.
Produce is good quality, expensive but can be compared to other brands

Great selection and easy parking! The parking lot entrance from Upper Middle road is a bit hectic so watch out.

Large clean grocer. Suprising smaller fresh produce section but massive deli and bakery. Freshly prepared hot dinners also available. A little on the more expensive side but deals can be had if you know your grocery pricing.

The cashier Linda was great I have not had customer service like this wonderful lady in a while. She is great. The prices on the meat today was real good. 3 steaks from $13.50 up to $20 obviously due to the weight. Great deal!

Live nearby, always shop in here, it is very convienient. Stoe is clean, organized, it is to find what you want, and sometimes you can find really good deal products there. It is nice shopping there

Very well maintained facility. Always clean and sparkling. Never anything out of place. All staff and visitors were PPE prepared. Very helpful staff. Always a fantastic visit and revisit.

Good store. Very clean and organized. The cashier, Matt, was very friendly and social. Refreshing!

The staff need to take life skills program. I found 3 out of 4 staff to be unhelpful and kind of course. The layout of the store is wrong and the prices are always to high. That maybe the reason Sobey's stores are starting to close. The Regional managers, Managers need to put more into solving the problems that are clearly at play or remove them.

The organic and healthy foods section is rich in choice! Flowers are always fresh. We take ready chicken from time to time - very decent quality.thanks!

I shop here regularly, love the hot counter when u walk in, good meat section, overall a great experience.

I have been a life long customer, I go about 2-3 times per week. Sadly recently my friend dealt with a cashier who uttered a racial slur towards her. The management did nothing about it. I will not be going back.

Miserable staffing tried to tell me that Phylo pastry was puff pastry. Bearded misfit was upset that I was more informed.

Fellow shoppers are quite good when it comes to distancing and following aisle directions. I've never seen any angry or outraged customers during my several trips here for the past few years. Produce is very good and most (if not all) shelves are well stocked. I do see staff cleaning the carts and any other customer touchpoints throughout the store. This store has a very pleasant shopping experience with good quality food that keeps me coming back. A+ score from me.

Very nice clean grocery store. No line ups and well sanitized. The store seems to be following all covid protocols. I did a quick shopping today, purchased some lamb burgers, chicken burgers and a packet of garden salad. Good quality but a bit overpriced. Once the cashier helped me to check out, I proceeded to the Wine store inside the Sobeys and here I was impressed with the friendly staff who made a recommendation based on my request to have complex flavors with the correct amount of dryness and low sugar content. Overall, I am very satisfied with my Sobeys and the Wine store experience.

I make it a point to shop here because it’s a clean, well lit store with fair pricing. Even more so these days I make it a point because of the Hero Pay. Natalie at checkout is great and always efficient.

When will Sobeys stop using the paper grocery bags, today my grocery fell in the parking area and I lost two tuna Cannes under the cars, the bags are not strong enough to handle grocery

Great produce, clean place and the food counter has a barrage of options! But 3 stars only because everything is a tad bit expensive!

Clean, well laid out, well stocked. Mix of older and younger staff that are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. This store has has a bakery, fresh made sushi, a hot kitchen with whole roasted chickens, pizzas, pastas, soups, sandwiches, etc. It sells beer and ciders and has a wine shop. It recently added self checkout and has a few of the smart carts. They apparently also have sensory-friendly shopping on Wednesday evenings where they dim the lights, don't make announcements or play music. Not needed by me, but good to see a store making some small accommodations that likely make a huge difference in some people's lives.

I appreciate the early hours and tend to shop here right after the store opens. I see much of the same staff on weekday mornings and they are always so pleasant. The shelves are always well stacked and it's never difficult to find anything. Great location.

This sobeys used to be my favorite.now it's renovated, with high ends display.but the staff is not very knowledgeable.and this prime rib sandwidch O ordered is dry and plain no sauteed onions, no forks and napkins at eating area? Fortinos brings better eat in expirence.

Not friendly at all they never say hello nor goodbye. Each time I went there it was the same experience.

Everything is great about this store! They also contribute tremendously back to the community. Also love the inclusive efforts with sensory perception sensitive hours.

It's good. I never used to like it. But they have done a good job redoing the place and the staff is very good, pleasant, and helpful. The products are very good at good prices. Nice selection. They have organics too. So good job

A bit more expensive than other grocery stores but there’s a great “food court” and a place to eat. Cashiers are friendly and the place is always clean and welcoming.

Only rich Oakville snobs, who expect a red carpet rolled out, give this location a bad review. It's a grocery storey. It's busy. But it's a great location.
The product selection is amazing. They have a bakery, a butchery, fresh sea food, they also sell beer and wine. Health foods. International foods. 1-stop shop.
Every time I go in, the cashiers are quick and courteous, and staff are always willing to help if you have questions.
Their beef is excellent, fresh.
There are closer grocery stores to me, but I make a longer trip to come to Glen Abbey Sobeys to get their fresh meat and excellent produce.

Not the greatest pricing, selection of food 40% out of 100%. Has a wine store, that makes it easy to complete your shopping in one spot. I only shop there when I am in that area.

Convenient place to get snacks. I try to stay loyal to the Loblaw brand, but this Sobeys has improved immeasurable throughout the years. After the multiple renovations, you'll feel like you're shopping at Whole Foods.

Like this location, they have some good deals sometimes. Employees are always great at fixing problems when they happen.

Gets better every time I visit! Bonus, it's open till 11 pm. For all those times that you forgot to buy something!

Recently renovated, with a nice seating area to eat lunch or a snack. Big natural foods section and they always have my oat milk!:)

Good selections of products, lousy service from bakery to cashier with bad attitude and not helpful avoid don’t go this location.

Bit overpriced compared to Fresh Co or Walmart. But everything in the store are always very fresh, every single time.

My "go to" grocery store. Great renovations. The store is very welcoming and the already prepared foods (dinners, salads, fresh snack packs etc.) are very enticing. The produce is always fresh and great assortment. They've added self check outs, which I think is a great addition, as well as a small area to eat things you buy there and another area for at the front of the store for functions like cooking demonstrations.

Excellent place to shop great selection. Somehow I ended up visiting today when they must have been cleaning out all the meat bunkers. At the same time? Doesnt seem like very good planning.
