Sobeys is always a great place to buy food. Variety of products with a good quality. Prices are up more than usual and that impact in how much products you can buy but Sobeys is highly recommend.

Very rude lady cashed us out who was very racist dealing very nicely with white people and no greetings just because m brown very pathetic

Ordered a slab cake and cupcakes for canada day, it was fantastic everyone just loved it my compliments to who ever made it, it was perfect. Thank you.

They do not follow FIFO (fist in first out rules) when putting new beer in the fridge, all beer at front is warm and beer at back is cold.

Great store. Nice people that work there. It's is a little confusing at the moment with the renovation going on. Renovations are almost complete. Looks very nice.

I come here all the time but i wanted to take a moment to say the cashier Paula today was especially kind and patient and took great care with my groceries

Customer service at this store is top notch. It's a smaller neighborhood store and doesn't always carry offerings that you would find at larger stores.

Great food, good menu. Clean and welcoming atmosphere for all ages. Friendly staff, fast service.

Terrible entrance, parking structures, need to be removed, redesigned the entire parking lot. People should complain. It isn't safe for customers and no one should be parking in front of building either, all of that should be removed. Some times it's better to think about the environment and how much time you loose for finding a parking spot.

Nice grocery store, on the smaller side. Some items are overpriced but there deals on other items (on sale). The fresh food counter is good. The employees are really nice and helpful. The bakery department is my go to for birthday cakes. The location is great. Not too busy.

Our regular go to location for groceries, beer, wine, cooked food, and flowers. The staff is always kind and friendly, clean and safe location. Patricia was helpful in cashing us out. See you guys soon

This is the worst grocery store to shop at. They neither respect their customers nor their employees. Customer service in this place is pathetic.
I have also seen two of their employees (named Nalini & Candace) literally harassing their co-workers. They shout at them and I feel so bad for the kids working in this place. Someone should do something about this. Would never recommend going there. Trust me, your shopping experience would be the worst ever. NEVER VISITING SOBEYS MAYFIELD AGAIN!

If I could give this store a MINUS (-) ZERO I would. I've shopped at this Sobeys for as long as I live in Brampton (over 15 years).

My husband and I recently formed a Non-Profit and last minute I had a request from Salvation Army shelter for food donations /dinner for Thanksgiving (I received the request about 230 pm 10/10).

Since Sobeys was the closest grocery store (and dinner at the shelter started at 5p.m), I decided to shop there so I would not be late with the dinner donations.

I arrived at Sobeys about 430 pm and noticed the rotisserie chickens were $11.99.each. We are on a limited budget so I asked the store manager whether or not she could match the price as the neighboring Food Basic and Metro who was selling for $8.99. I also explained the chickens etc was for the Salvation Army shelter and introduce myself as Co-Founder of the organization (which I did via letter a few weeks ago). She said unfortunately they were not able to do so. I decided not to bother buying the rotisseries as they were outside our budget.
I left the store feeling so heartbroken:
1. Going to the neighboring store would delay dinner for the shelter residences
2. Thanksgiving is broken in two parts "Thanks" and "Giving". The fact such a prominent grocery store in the community has no idea what it meant to GIVE back to the underprevilidged at such a urgency

Thank GOD I called Metro, Osiris, employee from the Meat dept said I should come in the store he only found 5 of the rotisseries. However, upon arrival, he surprised me and it would so happen had enough rotisserie put aside (enough to feed all 50 residences), and most importantly I purchased the chickens for $8.99, Metro at Sandlewood and Kennedy will be getting more of my business! You truly understand the true meaning of Thanksgiving and COMMUNITY, THANK YOU

Pre-ordered a cake for my husband's 51st bday. Longo's cakes are beautiful, delicious & I've ordered this one before. The only downfall was the cake was frozen on the inside. Thankfully, I didn't have any guests over. Can't wait to have it again tomorrow when it's completely thawed.

I recommend it! Friendly staff, good store layout finding every item quickly and easily, enjoy following weekly flyer to see what's on sale and it has a BELL pay phone at entrance in case your mobile battery runs low to make an Emergency phone call.
Update: on June 17th, 2021 a couple I know celebrated their "60th" Wedding Anniversary and 1 of 2 cakes was purchased here - Strawberry Shortcake and they devoured two pieces each. Again, kudos to your bakery department AND to your cashiers who are always friendly, professional & jovial. I like that when I go shopping!

I recently went to do grocery here and honestly the staff member name Shoaib M was the nicest, kindest person there and provided with me with expectational customer service. I needed help in the deli section as I confused where everything was as I was new to that store. He guided there and asked about me and made a very welcome to the store, his kind words and positive attitude is a definition of expectation customer service. With the short time I talked to him, I know for a fact he is a hardworking and dedicated person he has left a very profound impression on me.

Best place to go with the best customer experience, especially at deli. I was greeted by Shoaib, he’s helped me everytime I’ve been to the deli section. There’s another review here that’s definitely mistaken about his work ethic, I seen that and had to respond as I have never experienced that with boshez

I always feel welcome when I enter this specific Sobeys. I have a habit of forgetting where everything is (a memory issue the doctor said I got idk which one). I do remember one thing and that is an employee named Shoaib. He is always been able to find me looking lost and help me collect the groceries I need every week. He is very understanding and calm with me and with other customers. The platinum standard of what a Sobey’s employee should aspire to be.

Selection of products seems to be lower than expected. Perhaps delivery of usual selections are not as easy during Covid19 protocols. Store was clean and not over crowded though so that is positive

Went there on Saturday around 625 to get flowers and was greeted by a lady named Stephanie so friendly made me feel like family she told me she baked some sweets at home just very friendly thank u Stephanie for a great experience and it’s my first time here very clean and safe

This location had the potential to be a good place to go for higher quality of food and fixings but unfortunately the owner is out to lunch on prices, product availability and proper pandemic policies. The prices for all staple foods like basic dairy products is extremely expensive compared to other companies. Shelves are stocked during the day so don't count on what you want to be there and the staff in their wine section seem to think it's ok to eat pizza at their counter of service. Um.ever heard of a staff lunch room? Wear a mask, not eat food. Pandemic? And finally this location has always had poor management and staff. Been coming for years and it has never been satisfactory. Honestly whoever owns this location should be ashamed by the gouging and lack of performance. Maybe try your hand at car sales, no one expects you to be honest in that job.

I bought 2 cupcakes today and I should have asked when it was baked as it taste dry and stale. Normally they taste fresh just disappointed.

Good place for shopping all the essential grocery items & recommending for its top adherence for cleanliness overall.

The store is very friendly.
One gets a sense of safety while shopping even when COVID is around. They make it a point to sanitize the check out stations after every customer.

If your coming during Covid I would avoid, the staff at the front door (girl with dark hair with ponytail and glasses Mon/sep/21 @ 6pm) was so rude I almost didn’t bother entering. The way she was directing people without any attempt to be remotely polite was beyond unnecessary; were coming here to shop and spend money while being greeted with the rudest possible person. Tbh it seemed like she was power tripping more then anything as we are more then compliant and polite.

I understand that during Covid things have changed, there are procedures I have no issues following (we follow all Covid guidelines fervently) but when you are out right, brazenly rude there truly is no excuse for that. We are all in this together and it’s much more effective, especially when your on the clock representing a company to operate with respect and utilize basic customer service techniques.

This little girl should not be working in the public eye as she is clearly unable to communicate with decency. Tons of great ma and pa stores to support who appreciate their patrons. This was my first and last time at this establishment

I been there to buy a cake for Freind for quick stop so I been at this location but I felt very good because there were a girl who helped me to choose a good cake she was very help ful and have good understanding as well. I do recommend if you need they have genuine rates too!

Really appreciate all the hard work the staff are doing to keep the community safe. They even ensure that proper distance is maintained when entering and exiting the store - one of the few grocers in Brampton that I have noted to do this. Always have a good selection of products here including fresh produce.

Such friendly staff! I had an amazing conversation with a woman in the produce section about celery for like 15 mins. Just a whole bunch of kind people work here! The produce is quickly turned over which means you can expect fresh produce always! Keep up the fab job, especially during covid folks!

Worst grocery store, most of the shelves are usually empty and no one who cares to replenish. The only reason this store has and customers is because this is the only one close to newly developed/developing subdivisions. Doesn't even have halal meat section. Ridiculous!

This store is clean and food is fresh. Not too crowded in the weekend as Fortino's. Staff are well trained and helpful.

Clean and well organized. Not very big, but has a good variety of items. Self checkout and regular checkout lanes.

Wasn't too impressed. Prices were high. Many Products were sold out or missing. This was on a Tuesday morning. Could not even find Astro Yogurt Original, plain, without vanilla or any flavoring. I would have bought 0,1,2 or 3 percent, if it had been available. But it was nowhere to be found. Very disappointing!

Shopping is a breeze, poor layout of the store in regards to location of the cashiers as a long line hinders other shoppers. Parking lot is a crazy mess with hi accident risk. Poor design for a plaza.

Nice store for picking up odds and ends. Found the prices for the the groceries on the high end. You can get the same item at different places a little cheaper.

This is my favourite Sobey's. They also carry a great selection of beer and spirits. They open until midnight, too.

Today it was my son's birthday. I ordered a cake 2 days ago on tuesday. I went at Sobey's to pick and found they mistakenly placed my order for friday and didnt make the cake. But than 2 gentlemen Ryan and Daniel who were at bakery that time jump in and call manager and help me to save the day. They make all possibilities to make the cake in 1 hour. Manager Cory was very nice he ask staff to gave the cake for free. I want to thank you guys for saving the day my son like the cake alot.

Good luck getting any help from the ladies that work in the bakery, there more busy mingling among themselves, they have no understanding of what customer service is! When asked to speak to a manager, they refused to call and at the same time another worker had the nerve to make a smart remark towards me, Come on lady your over 50 years old and your trying to talk down to someone half your age, get a life and a real job!

Also steer clear of the crazy grey headed lady that works as a cashier at the front of the store, shes just plain rude and her demeanor towards customers is disgusting

Deli is my favourite, staff 12/10 all need promotions. Prices aren't terrible at all.

Bakery staff however could use some minor work.

The managers here deserve a gold star! I always see them helping out in various capacities & are a pleasure to deal with despite the store's many short comings. I enjoy shopping here largely because of them. Keep up the good work guys!
