Sobeys New Hamburg

I would give a 5 stars, but when I went to the store the other day, one of the cashiers was very rude. After scanning my items, she put a box on top of bread. Other than that, it has always been a good place to shop.

Great little store with those lovely sobeys prices! But the food is fresh and worth it when going there. Best turkey subs in town I’ll say, worth trying forsure

Poor management to state you're open when you are not open. While it might seem like a minor issue, it's indicative of management that is oblivious and couldn't care less about maintaining a minimum level of decent service. 1 star is too much, I will go in to the waterloo store from now on.

Store is on the smaller side so you dont spend hours walking around looking. Helpful staff. All advertised items were in stock.

This location is one of the smaller stores. I don't get to stop here often but usually the staff are great, and the quality on the in store bake goods is fantastic. Only ever had one issue with the hot deli closing early and not being able to get the family deal, as there were no sides available.

Seems to be almost entirely run by teenage guys and is the most efficient and most polite experience I've had at a grocery store in ages.

I needed a bag for my purchases and was pleasantly surprised to be given a paper bag. Thank you for being responsible.

Doing thier very best during these covid times. Sometimes you gotta wait out front. Not so bad. Staff are friendly, and working hard to help maintain social distancing.

The New Hamburg Sobey's is a friendly grocery store, typical of a small town caring community business. The staff are knowledgeable on their products and for its size, has mostly everything you need for your weekly shopping needs. You may find some less popular specialty items are missing, but they make up for it by promoting local farmers and producers who make superior quality offerings.

Always great selection and great people. Even during the peak of covid I have Always felt comfortable going in!

Very nice, small town store. The franchise owner is a stand up guy, but he does cheer for the Bruins. Staff is helpful.

Sobeys in New Hamburg is only about a 13 minute drive from Plattsville and Bright
It's like s hopped up country store
Easy to walk around for us seniors
The produce section is very fresh. The meat dept has everything along with a deli, were staff will gladly do orders of 5 bucks
When you check out you can get paper bags like the old days
Not those plastic things that take 500 years to disappear
When you leave there is s Service ontario office where 5 people in a line up is simply a pleasant crisis. Worth a medium double double Timmeys drive.

Store was empty except for employees hang out chatting with each other. Stepped away from my cart to try and find someone to help me and ended up forgetting my cart in the back of the store.they then refused to check me out because I didn't have my cart. I put my items down and went to leave.the sarcastic remarks by an employee on the way out was not appreciated. I go by this store twice a day but will gladly go somewhere else to avoid this terrible service. Won't be back.

Its a smaller one but Great place! I'm from out of town and it's the best one I've been to in a long time. The staff is very nice and helpfull!

Very terrible experience it was awful a employee at New Hamburg sobeys her name tag said Cheryl she was very extremely rude shouted at me across the isle because I was a foot away from my cart to grab some bananas. No one was around me the store was not busy at all. But I was still really embarrassed that she spoke to me this way. She should be fired people like this don’t need to be working in a store with customers if they don’t have people skills. I definitely won’t be returning here until she’s fired.

We are quite pleased with the service we have received from Sobeys New Hamburg! Service is fast and efficient! The quality of the food is very good. The people who fill my order are polite and very helpful. Thanks Sobeys!

Selection outweighs size in this small-town gem. Friendliest service you will find and they offer a great variety of healthy options and organic perishables

Wife picked up a chicken and wedges, etc. Chicken was pretty standard but the wedges were rock hard and way past edible. Please prepare fresh products. Hit and miss with food counter.

Super friendly and accomodating. Especially to the elderly who need service in and out of the store. Well done!

The advertised specials are rarely in stock, have opened food that is stale or smells bad from being old, do not carry as many kinds of items as most Sobeys

Small store but a good selection of items that are a step above the other grocery store in town. Very friendly staff and one in particular. Wonderful girl. Nice store to shop at.

Friendly people, great selection, lots of parking. If you are a true local you call it Murray's.
