Jen in the dessert section is AMAZING. My sister and I was so surprised with the smiles and warm aura she has.

First rate grocery for mein terms of product and cleanliness. Only place you can find for a good quality old Christmas pudding. Love the cakes in here.

Very high priced
For example, a Cilantro bunch is $2.79 here while at Walmart it's $1.29

Newly renovated to make a good grocery store even better. An amazing produce section with lots of variety and selection. Being a vegetarian I appreciate their plant based food choices that I can easily find in the store.
The floral department is great for houseplants as well as cut flowers that will last a long time.

Pricing is competitive on some things, like most groceries. I love the way the produce is set up.

My $8 chicken spring mix salad had 3 of the smallest pieces of chicken on it. And it's not the first time. Guess with the renovations they've gotten more expensive and even cheaper with they're products.

All the fancy renovations are finally done but the deli is now a joke. Selection now is less than half of what it used to be. It's more show than anything else really.

We have always been a fan of Sobeys but until recently we have noticed issues. I have been overcharged twice for produce either by the cashier and one time they incorrectly charged me the wrong price for strawberries which we’re labeled or advertised for less. When I reported it to customer service, I received no apology from the older lady who seemed more annoyed with me than anything. One time I noticed moldy cheese on the shelves and my mom purchased fish only to come home and find it was spoiled. Of course they exchanged it but we no longer trust Sobeys. We either have to watch the prices at check out closely and check expiry dates on products. With the high cost of food it’s unfortunate that Sobeys quality control has diminished. They are renovating the place which could be an explanation but it is happening too often to excuse their negligence. We can’t wait until Farm boy or Longo’s opens for more better options!

Having sold Real Estate in Oshawa, Whitby and Clarington for over 30 years knowing where to get amazing flowers for your clients is so important. There is not better place than Sobeys for flowers.and no better florist than Christine. Many of my clients have become regulars for Christine after seeing her amazing work

so my eyes caught freshly baked apple pies stacked on bakery shelf
I requested for one fresh pie
From lady in bakery area
She refused by saying we dont give hot ones
And
Decided to come out from bakery counter to check out expiry May 29th dates on few pies
And
Even then she denied me of freshly baked pie on asking few times
She is telling me to come back after one hour
I cant understand
We all love to have fresh baked goods when available right there
Now
I can go straight to
Pringles farms or any other Bakery to get after checking out from grocery store

V unhappy today on requesting to get fresh apple pie
With this unbelievable negative answer cant give you for an hour
Usually bakeries are there for customers to enjoy fresh baked goods as they are available freshly if customer asked

They bakery staff encourage us to taste and buy fresh pies or breads
Hope some one take this matter serious regarding this lady in bakery her attitude is questionable
as customers who are happy go sad out of your nice store today

Great grocery store for all your needs. Very kind and helpful staff and be sure to check out their great deli food options!

The flower counter was helpful for getting bouquets wrapped with cards and offered a bucket of water if needed. I could also cash out my beverage items right there saving time for a quick in and out!

Same product base as most store with some upscale items. Prices are now to the point that unless it's on sale.ya can't afford to shop here.

Occasionally can find a deal there. However their choice of words for promotions can make it very confusing for customers when they thing they're buying an item 2 for $4 when really fine print is saying they're buying 2 at $4 each. Sneaky sneaky

DO NOT buy from their deli counter! A lady has posted on Facebook, making everyone aware of what she witnessed and had to endure while working there! Absolutely disgusting.

It has the best bakery and meals to go in a grocery store in Oshawa. The store has a stunning variety of items. It's fun just to go up and down the aisles.

Clean supermarket and cashiers are super friendly. This Sobeys location always have what you want in stock! Sell wine. All in one shop!

Staff to busy complaing about the place to help customers. Prepared food section a complete disaster. Was a good customer at this location. It has gone completely down hill. I will not be returning. If you want to charge a premium you need to step it up.

The store is nicely set up and I found there are typically items in stock when you need them.

However, i wish that Sobeys would carry more Canadian items. It's often hard to find Canadian fruit or veg even while in season, and they don't seem to often, if ever, carry Canadian pickles or tin mushrooms. Even if a bit higher in cost, I would prefer to buy these items that don't originate in India or China.

Good store otherwise and nice, efficient staff.

Was looking for baking ingredients all over north Oshawa and nobody had glazed citrus peel (I know that's very specific), including Bulk Barn. Not only did they have it, but the wonderful lady at customer service directed me to a massive holiday baking display! The store was bright and clean, and the staff friendly and helpful.

Store is very nicely organized with quality products. Staff is very polite and cooperative. In general, I feel the grocery prices are little higher than the competitors stores.

The staff at the bakery section was really courteous. And as always they're birthday cake consistency of quality/taste never disappoints.

They had the self check out carts, my wife and I used one and it was great. The process of teaching people where to pick up and drop off carts for use needs to be made clearer to people, I almost didn't pick one up but my wife suggested we try it. The carts themselves are easy to use, however they are small. It made the whole shopping process faster and more convenient.

Walked into the mostly vacant store at 9: 05 and made our way over to the bakery to find a nighttime cake as most would. While looking at the ready to grab and go cakes the attendant at the back very rudely shouted at us and said the bakery was closed then marched back to continue baking for tomorrow. Very disappointed by the sub par level of customer service. We were still able to purchase a grab and go cake and simply assumed she didn’t want to serve us the more delicatessen items. This Sobeys will never see me or my family as a customer ever again.

Great service, always clean and inviting. This location has been A1 for Covid protocol. From the very beginning they have had a representative at the front doors washing carts, taking counts and assisting costumers. Keep up the great work. Thank you.

Fresh produce and many things on sale or marked down. The staff were helpful and took me to few things I couldn't find

Only went to use their bathroom, but on the way out I pickup a nice pastry that was on sale.

Friendly staff. Even had a nice gentleman directing check out lanes.

Sobey's is well laid out and has lots of choices of things to buy. You can find things here you cannot get elsewhere.

The eco-friendly paper bag trend is unnecessary in the west. A complaint for head office, I shouldn't have to deal with falling apart bags or ruining my convenience because China doesn't care. Lost a customer.

We were just here recently to purchase a few items and we love the store because it is not only clean and bright but very spacious the staff that work here are very professional they're always smiling always ready to help him assist you finding the things that you need we like this place also because they have a lot of great in store specials

A number of times sticker prices do not match register and have been overcharged.when mistakes shown they make you wait and never apologize or pay for their mistakes but blame it on you chose the wrong product until past 3 instances I put my foot down but to no avail.

I used to go to Metro until is turned into a Food Basics, Food Basics just doesn't have the variety I enjoy in a grocery store. I've fallen in love with Sobeys I love the huge variety of vegan options and lots of fresh fruit and veggies. They have so many non dairy milks to choose from and they are very environmentally friendly with there reusable bag rule starting this month. Highly recommend this store.

They got all the foods and beers. I mean i hate the prices to be honest, but in a pinch for a one stop.sure why not.

The worst sobers ever. Every time their freshly baked goods are never ready, they are always out of the oven on the tray but certain individuals don’t want to get burned. The seafood section always smells bad. The applesauce I bought was expired.

Line up at deli overly long - only one counter staff; a large sale display pile of Coca Cola drinks in the meat area had every pop - Diet, Zero, Dr. Pepper, etc. EXCEPT regular Coke; I had to find the pop aisle to pick it up. Cashier throws my items in a bag that promptly and obviously rips. I had to ask for another bag. He made me hold the heavy bag up while he slowly manoeuvred another bag up and around it instead of taking the items out and putting them in a new bag. I usually avoid this store.

Pretty well managed Sobeys, pretty well stocked for the most part. The staff at the deli and catering counter are pleasant and helpful. As with any other Sobeys, it's a little pricey.

I ordered a cake/cupcake combo for my daughter's birthday. I asked for pastel colours, as she was having a Unicorn theme. I was blown away when i picked it up. The colours were beautiful (pastel pink, purple and blue), and matched everything perfectly, and they were delicious as well. Kudos to the bakery department!

I usually love this location but recently I went there and did a grocery run and everything seemed fine some of things I bought were cheese and I noticed after a few days the mozzarella started tasting funny, realized after looking at the package the Deli sliced me cheese that was going expired in a couple days the other two provolone and Gouda was fresh and is still good in my fridge I didn't even get to use a quarter of something that costed me 10 bucks

I'm a guy so finding things in a grocery store is not second nature. But I found what I needed, just took a few minutes.

5th Fresh Bakery from bread, Buns, Sweet Pastries.

Staff are helpful when you cant find what your looking for.
Reasonably priced, check for the at the front entrance see what's on sale.

Very clean supermarket. Well stocked with very good quality produce. A full pharmacy department and a well stocked fresh florist department. They also sell wine and beer.loads of parking.

This is my favorite supermarket in Oshawa, right on Taunton and Wilson, it does offer a variety of household items but my favorite areas are the bakery specially La Rocca Cakes and Desserts, they're to die for, and the flowers, you have also the hot table and cold table for prepared meals and and aisles loaded with all one can imagine and need accompanied by super friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Love the fresh baked bread. However one of the staff behind the bakery is so rude, never has she got a smile never would she say thank you. You ask her to slice bread, you think you’d asked her to slice her arm off

This Sobeys has recently decided to install self checkout lanes. With the new self checkout lanes they have decided this is a good excuse to reduce the number of open cashier lanes creating long lineups. Having tried the self checkout a couple of time was just frustrating. There isn't much room for bagging your groceries and the interface is clunky. The self checkout is a fail and obviously a conscious decision has been made to reduce the number of cashiers resulting in nothing but a frustrating experience. With 2 other grocery stores close by we have chosen to shop elsewhere now,

Went to get flowers here because they have a very nice selection. Older lady working there got mad because I wanted to buy some and it was near her lunch break. She was doing the typical rolling of eyes and giving attitude and being rude so I decided to go somewhere else where the employees would be happy to help. Too bad as I was a loyal customer that always bought flowers from here. Another customer lost due to terrible customer service. Little bit of advice: no matter how bad of a day your having, if your working in a job with customer service, your job is to help the customer and make them feel welcome. If you cant do that, then call in sick, stay home or get a new job.
