I went to the deli the other day to get meat for my husband. Was met with the nicest lady I’ve ever met in my life, I think her tag said Logan… This girl definitely deserves a raise and a pat on the back! She was very helpful with the selection process and did it all with a smile! 10/10 in my books!

Went to get seafood today. Nobody there to serve me. I guess no seafood today from sobeys. I guess Metro will hopefully have someone to serve me.

Followed around the store by "Security" (guy in a paintball vest, not even a level IIIA). If I'm expected to pay above average and be treated like this, then I'm happy to take my business elsewhere.

A couple suggestions/options
Peppers- the red peppers were priced at over 5 dollars a pound, which I was willing to pay however, could’t find one that was in a condition I’d buy. The green peppers were on sale but was the same situation. Disappointing and this isn’t the first time which is why I’m mentioning it. If the price higher then average, the quality should be higher as well
Self checkout- the organic banana don’t scan but have a bar code to scan, maybe there is a reason but would be less of a chance someone just pays for regular bananas if the barcode was acknowledged in the system. It’s an easy mistake for customers to make
On a positive note- the wine and Deli staff were fantastic, friendly and attentive. Store visit date April 22,2023, around 5: 00

4$ for a loaf of bread!? Ridiculous pricing. Keep on gouging Sobey's. Your greed is showing. This chain is last on my list to go grocery shopping. Or. Second I should say. Walmart is at the bottom of the barrel. I'm sure Sobeys will match it soon enough with self checkout. Points/Club discounts are a total mirage of savings as the INCREASE PRICE EVEN MORE TO MAKE CONSUMERS THINK THEY ARE GETTING A DEAL. Other stores have done this in the past and received serious backlash from government and consumers. How quickly we forget.

Clean, well organized, amazing selection of fruit and vegetables. The bakery is well stocked with very friendly and helpful staff. The apple strudel was awesome as was the fresh loaf of rye bread. The wine kiosk was kind enough to recommend a great wine to go well with the filet mignon I had planned for dinner. All of this, unfortunately, comes at a price reflected at the checkout. It was quite expensive but the end result was a beautiful dinner for my wife and Mother in law.

The double fudge dessert cake was terrible. This was the first time I bought this cake and the cake crumbled and was impossible to cut. Also too sweet.
