I absolutely love my neighborhood sobeys but unfortunately my experience with a grey hair old gentleman on 2 occasions makes me not wanting to shop there. He is very SNAPPY! I am always uncomfortable cashing out with him because he tends to yell at people over nothing. I seriously think he need some form of anger management.

Sobeys if you have never been it usually has higher food prices in comparison to a local market but with 70% of foods being packaged foods the assortment is decent, not a fan of their produce section prices feel alil steep but Sobeys is great if you just need few items on the run that you need out of your qualitative preference.

Great small Sobeys store. Parking at front door. Good selection in all categories. Reasonable prices. Easy checkout. Recommended.

Good store when you check out with one of the female cashiers or self-checkout machines. But there’s a grumpy man with a bad attitude—at the last cashier close to the exit door—who made me regret shopping at this store. He’s always rude and complains about how I’m shopping.

How hard is it to welcome clients and show some respect? Or do nothing and say nothing. Do you always need to be disrespectful?

Understaffed and under resourced. I went in at 9am and the meat section was completely empty. This store opens two hours later than Loblaws and it still has empty shelves. A shambles.

They have everything you need, ample quantity too. You're not going here to buy Costco sized boxes of cereal, but it's fantastic for a few things. They have lovely produce and the the place is well kept.

Terrible store, they make you wait in line instead of opening a cash and sell dairy products that expire the next day. Go somewhere else.

Convenient for last minute shopping! There's always a great selection of items. Customer service is very helpful. This location is accessible by TTC as well.

Depressing grocery store ever. It’s really tiny and dont hold much products due to that and doesnt look that clean either.

Sadly not many options in this area. Wish they would add a foodbasics or nofrills in this area already

I don't understand why Sobeys bothers to keep this location open, it has horrible selection. I can't think of a single time I've gone into this store with a list and been able to come out with everything on it. Add to that a poor layout and this is a store to avoid. Go up the street to Farm Boy or down to St. Clair for Loblaws.

Perfect place if you are looking for something specific, things are easily available and well organized.

I don't know why everyone says their products are overpriced. In my experience the prices are very reasonable compared to other grocery stores I've been to. The only problem is that the wait times in line are a little long, as they often don't have a lot of people working at the registers.

JAYLEN & SANDRA (I think) embody fantastic customer service. I was standing in line tonight for less than a second, only long enough to notice three staff talking amongst themselves at the cash register closest to the prepared food at the front of the shop, heads down. Maybe they were comparing their check out statistics on company mobile devices, they may have been on break, I will never know. I do know they were completely oblivious to a customer standing there. Sandra noticed! She may look tough with chains on her glasses, but she was so sweet to pull the plastic curtain back enough that I could get past the completely unaware staff blocking the way. Sandra’s eyes smiled brightly finding happiness in helping others. Jaylen was a wise fellow, caught my attention with a waive to the last register across from the self checkouts I avoid. Jaylen was warm, professional, offered a bag with a friendly tone and chose not to draw attention to the three staff in the clouds. Jaylen’s efficiency got me out quickly and put a smile on my face. Please congratulate Sandra and Jaylen for doing all the right things!

The staff was amazing A you man how was on salf case out went out of his way to help me find gluten-free bread It was my first time at the store very impressed

Pretty good selection of goods, wish they had more asian / ethnic items but overall great place

What I like about Sobeys is that they do not have music constantly playing. There is enough noise in the city that I do not need to hear music everywhere I go.

The staff at this location are amazing. Each department will always be there to make sure you get your products. The a.m. Cashiers Farid and Savitree are amazing never make a mistake perfect cashier skills. Thank you. Peter, the Store Manager is always present and will answer any of your concerns.

This store is moved from Mt. Pleasant and Eglinton. Couldn't find some products which I used to buy from Sobeys.

Came in when visiting Canada, and had the loveliest cashier named Melody with braids and she helped me tremendously!

Terrible Covid-19 procedures. No enforced hand washing for people entering. No social distancing in this cramped location. No enforcement of directional arrows in isles. Overpriced food, moldy food items that have not expired yet (from their in-house bakery). Staff seem clueless. Convenience is no longer convenient at this spot. Save your money and time

Clean, organized and friendly, helpful staff. Only a few parking spots out front of the store, but there is street parking if you are lucky to get it.

A larger Sobeys than I have been used to but somehow send to have a worse selection.

Great fries and veggies section along with dairy is great. But then it gets a bit odd. Frozen meals /meats seem limited to pizza and a couple other things with many usual products lacking in choice or even not available at all. The meet section is sporadically stocked (maybe due to covid?) And the breads section while massive somehow manages to feel like I'm actual fresh bread choice. The section is mostly filled with cakes, muffins, & pastry. The biggest confusion though I'd the stores complete lack of spices. They appear to only have pre mixed "grilling spice" and the like.

This location consistently produces a poor experience for customers. The store has been going downhill in terms of customer service & quality for well over a year now. The staff are rude, yell at each other in front of customers and don't know anything when you ask them questions or are too bothered to help you. The meat quality is low grade to say the least & the shelves are never stocked. Public Health & Safety should check this place out as it is always dirty & has a foul smell throughout the store periodically. No one is wiping down carts consistently or forcing the use of gloves/hand sanitation prior to going into the store. At best they have someone rude standing out front keeping a line. I will not be going back here & urge others during quarantine to strongly consider shopping at stores that take public health & customer service seriously.

Nice staff, most of them are very polite, usually they are pretty fast at check out. Lines may be a little bit longer on rush hour (i.e. Weeknight at 6pm). Store became a little bit pricey, due to lack of competitors nearby. Most of cashiers are faster than self check out machines, unless you have few things to pay. The store set up changed from time to time, and I have to admit that it has been improving their service. Scarcely, a product on sale is misplaced or the item cannot easily be identified. However staff has been polite and kind to give an explanation or enforce a discount. Weeknights at 10 pm is the best time to go, at least for me. A question for management is why it is so hard to find someone assisting with cold cuts, as this is the only section of the store that it is pretty unattended. All in all, it is pretty convenient if you live close to the East side of Davisville station.

I've had few bad experiences but for the past month or so, the back corner of the store, where the milk products and eggs are, has consistently smelt of raw sewage. I'm not sure what's going on, whether it's a leak or another situation, but it's hard to shop with the nauseating smell every time I go.

Update: Dropping the review to 2 stars. This location has consistently smelled like feces in the rear area of the store for at least a week now. Did someone die and vacate their bowels or something?

Deceptively good selection despite being a pretty small store. I really like Sobeys baked goods in particular, and the produce quality is also great. Unfortunately, the prices at Sobeys border on absurd for many items, and unless you can shop the sales it's usually not worth buying most things here. The self check-out machines are also nightmarish and very difficult to operate compared with the ones at other grocery stores. At least the staff is friendly.

Love this place. The people who work here are great and are always trying to help. Pretty much stress free shopping for me but it can get a bit busy at times because it's a popular place. The staff is able to handle this well though.

Nice super market, they have a great pastries and its a great location! Various products can be found, i found the prices a little high but maybe its the location and quality! There is parking in front so its easy access

Zero customer service and very slow to redeem a customer problem. Absolute no knowledge of ongoing store offers.

Good quality fresh vegetables and fruit. Doesn't have a huge selection of brands and/or choice, but reasonable considering the smaller size. A good neighbourhood grocery store.

This place is relatively overpriced! And they don't even have a decent handsoap! Loblaws on Carlton or even a FreshCo.is much more competitive and better value for money I think.

Most of the time I couldn't find what I need in this store. They don't stock up products regularly. Sale items often out of stock or just don't match advertising flyer. I can only do grocery shopping after work and it definitely doesn't help either.

This store was right opposite to our previous residence. So most of our fruits and basic food items would come from this Sobeys. Fruits and veggies are slightly overpriced as compared to nearby asian store.
You can find good variety of baked goods. We really liked the cheesecakes.
They also have self checkout and the staff is great as well. Its ususally very crowded in the evenings, otherwise its fine.

Not bad for an downtown location. You can get most things here although the selection is limited. Fruits and vegetables are generally expensive. Cheaper prices for them around the corner, up in the next block at two mom and pop stores.

I stood at self checkout for over 5 minutes waiting on the service clerk to clear an error message. He just stood there while I ask multiple times for help. He was rude about it like it was my problem. Not sure why he is even working there if he is not going to help. A different employee, one not even on self checkout, finally came over and helped me and apologized to me for his horrible attitude.

Quick and easy grocery store. Always clean and well organized. The drawback is that the prices are a little higher and there's less selection but that comes with the territory of being a quick and easy location in mid-toronto.

Really a fresh and quality.open till 11pm and self service is awesome.adequate parking and conveniently located.
