Sobeys Urban Fresh Bloor & Islington

This store seems to be price gouging. I bought a meatloaf dinner 2 weeks ago for $4.99. Today they were $7.00 and $8.00 for the same meals with different sides. I asked Logan about it, he had a very cocky and unfriendly attitude, smirk on his face and argued with me before telling me he would look it. This Logan would not even look at me when I was talking to him. He just didn't want to be bothered with me at all. I'm not impressed. I shop here often, and to be treated so badly is not right. Terrible customer service!

there is short dark skin girl treat clients who is way better than her as they stealing, she stick her head in peoples bags and talk with very bad attitude probably because she steals so she think everyone does
i talked to super before for what she did but she still there doing the same thing, I guess I will no longer go there

Convenient grocery store near Islington Station located at the Bloor Islington Plaza. The closest entrance to the store is on the west side near the Islington Station entrance. There is free underground parking if you purchase over a specific amount but make sure to validate it at the cashier.

Everything is marked for the departments via signs and decor. The inventory is well stocked. Staff members are very knowledgeable about where items are placed. However, being in the plaza, this grocery store tends to serve the office crowd which is reflected in the quality of hot foods, especially during lunchtime. Slightly questionable hot foods section as it does feel like it closes earlier or is out of stock before 6-7pm. They have a lot of bakery items as well.

If you can venture further for cheaper items, that would be the recommendation - otherwise, pay a bit more than average for the grocery items here. The quality fluctuates a lot in the produce section and sometimes not enough turnover or items being purchased. They have self-serve cash registers and you still need to pay for the brown bags they offer. Also, there is a seating area near the cashier section as well.

I have ordered cakes on many occasions from Sobeys Bloor & Islington branch. The bakery staff is really awesome in customer service. I wanna thanks special to cake decorators Beta & others who made delicious cake with wonderful designs for me. I highly recommend Sobeys for cakes.

Store is ok. Clean and organized but the setup especially near the produce section and meat can be confusing.

The thing I like most about here is I can buy single cake slices when I feel like a treat.

Pay attention to your receipt. A few times the scanned price is higher than that on the tag. I bought a household product today and the discount price is less than what's advertised. Sales clerk made it easy by refunding me the difference between the two prices, but without the 13% tax I paid on the difference.

They are from the same business of Freshco but whit higher prices. They also have the scene points card

Stopped in for a quick bakery purchase (cake!) enroute to work. Cake was fresh, customer service was excellent, location is convenient (just above Islington Station- was able to pop in and continue on the subway)

Ideal grocery convenience. Perfect for public transit commuters. Direct underground parking from within the store!

Nice hard working staff (overworked and underpaid) highly recommend the rotisserie food/savoury counter.

Good store. I’m not used to Urban Sobeys, so lack of variety is a little upsetting. That said, they’re definitely doing their best to have as much different items as possible.
Staff is great.
Produce is ok. I’d recommend taking that as a last resort.
