Sobeys Whitby

Good range of products although could do with more diverse items. The reason I love this store is the staff are always super helpful. I've never had a bad staff interaction here.

I didn't go into Sobeys on Tuesday. I sat in the car and my daughter picked up a few things but I do like Sobeys. Its too far from where I live to shop there. I don't drive.

5 stars all day for the staff on this store. Very nice
As far as the business goes, Sobeys is generally over priced on many items.
So I would say 3 stars on price point.

Best service and little carts the store is always well stocked. Know your prices though some items are overpriced but great sales now and then. Friendly employees.

I am on crutches from having suffered a broken leg and now post surgery. Staff offered to bring my purchase to my car. Even offered to help me in. I wish I took that employee's name. Such a very nice touch. Thank you!

Great store, staff and stocking habits! Unlike value village they DO offer change rooms and will refund returns to a store gift card. Better yet they are open m-f 9 to 9

Was disappointed back in 2014 we celebrated our anniversary wedding in this place can't forget the dirty clothes of the waitress and the plates they offered I pa8d 100 back 2014 for 2 tiny plates I never get courage to visit red lobster anymore this was the worst restaurant in my life

Great quality produce and products as usual however I noticed that we the consumers are being blatantly ripped off. Went to grab a pre cut/washed berry cup on my lunch break. Noticed the price is now 8$, absolutely ridiculous, didn’t buy assumed it was gas prices inflation etc all the fun stuff we are going through right now like any person would assume. Turns out it’s literally just this store or sobeys in general because the metro down the road on Victoria has the same cup same weight and same quality fruit for 3$ like it always has been. Shame because I’ve always liked sobeys even though I pay a bit more I felt it worth it. After seeing that. I’m done. Won’t shop there again. Too much greed in the world already.

They don't have sushi made fresh on site like some of the other locations. Not knowing how long it's sitting I don't buy from here. Aside from that.
This location is clean and has a good selection of prepared salads, fruit/mellon and vegetables trays to choose from. Being a charter bus driver these prepare meals are just what is needed for a healthy snack or meal. They also sell prepared sandwiches and wraps.
Good location, not far off north of the 401 on Thickson Rd. Whitby.

Annetta from the floral department deserves recognition. I, a lost husband buying flowers for my wife who's next door putting our cat down. Annette went above and beyond, even setting aside her lunch to help me. It's service like that that should be commended and rewarded.

Similar layout to most other Sobeys stores in the area. Store had a good selection of fresh vegetables that were in good shape. No need to spend 5 min picking through junk. Store is clean and organized.

The place is clean, and the staff is friendly, but I do not find their prices to necessarily be the cheapest in the area.

The management is very poor falls advertisement very poor customer service I would never enter a Sobey store again because of the bad experience with this Sobey total ignorant management never go to the one onDurham region, Very prejudice people

Always love this Sobeys. Clean and spacious and even during the pandemic they were well stocked on most items. Lots of clear floor markings for safe flow of people.

Zero stars if I could. The Sobey's web site says they're open 24 hours. The huge sign on their store says open 24 hours. Yet they're not open 24 hours.

Been to this store just a few times when heading for the highway. It is always amazingly clean, well stocked and easy to manoeuvre in the covid era.
They don't stock a lot of organic produce which was a disappointment since I was hunting for organic celery. Ended up buying some lobster tails, restaurant pork chops and some fresh blood oranges. Each product was a great deal in either price, quality or availability.

I love going there. They have fresh vegetables and fruits. Seafood and meat showcase plus lobster aquarium are my favourite parts. Sobeys could be higher priced than other grocery stores but fresh food is almost promised every time. Stuff at self check-out pays attention to the customers. I forgot discount sticker was on the product but he came over and deducted the price for me. He was very nice. I wish I could specified which stuff he was in here.

Called the bakery to ask questions and got hung up on, the lady wouldn’t even let me finish my sentence

Multiple Sobey stores did not have a product they listed in their weekly flyer, I decided to call this location, Dept Manager apologized and said he would order it in, which he did, and I appreciate the excellent customer service he provided! Also love the self-checkouts

My favourite grocery store, it’s never too busy / never too many people in the store during COVID. Arrows and layout are easy to follow. Amazing selection in food overall, my family and I love it, even though it’s more expensive than other grocers it’s worth it. It would be 5 stars but the staff aren’t very friendly and all the cashiers are young boys that are extremely slow & rude. The grocery store itself is awesome but the staff isn’t. Still my favourite store in Whitby though.

Average store and customer experience. Prices for a typical basket skew higher than competing full line stores. Has been an occasional go to during the pandemic as there was never a line up.

Meeh, over priced & dishonest company! Met multiple laid off employees that were scammed into signing away their rights for fair compensation!

First thing I want to say is our cashier was great. Her operator number was 135. She was friendly and courteous. Our groceries were packed perfectly. The store is very clean and well stocked. We like to shop here as the produce is great and the meat department is nice too. Sale items were in stock as well. Thank you to our cashier.

It was great. I was at the customer service desk. Tuesday @ 115. The girl working was very cheerful and was quick with the lottery tickets.

Their store is always so clean. Everything looks attractive and is organized in a decent way. Staff is very calm and helpful. Thank you guys, you are doing a great job.

A decent Sobeys location, well stocked and dealing with Covid well. No wine or beer at this location, but an LCBO across the street.
