I am a first timer from Germany and the food I got at Sofra Restaurant was the best food I have ever eaten. Great service, very friendly, thank you again

The waiter was very rude. Basically she kicked me out after 15 min of my entire stay at the restaurant. I ordered a chicken shawarma and a lentil soup. During my stay she was playing loud music while sitting in one of the tables. After 10-15 min she came and gave me the bill when I didn’t ask for it and plus I even didn’t finished my entire chicken shawarma. She didn’t even asked if I was done or not. Definitely I wan’t visit that place again. The food was below average. I even tipped her (Also I want to add for the context: the restaurant was completely empty during my experience)

Today I found out the this resturant has refused entry to a boy with his service dog and his Mother who is a Children's Mental Health Worker. Documentation was provided but entry was still refused. The resturant was empty at the time. "Shame" Sofra Forest Hill, is too positive a word to use in this evaluation of your resturant.

In Response to the owner. All documentation was provided. But if you will not tolerate this information, I will ask the Mother to provide a review. The Mother works in the mental health field. She knows the requirements and met them. I was her professor many years ago and know the honesty and ethics of this person. Why not just apologize and work at a better response in the future?

You should try this place, any menus with laffa bread. The quality and the taste are top notch, with good portions. I find here the best shawarma restaurant in town

Tried the chicken shawarma $26 meal and the rice and chicken was just plain. There was one white sauce in a dipping container provided which I was hoping was garlic but turned out to be a tasteless sauce. Very disappointed with this. Do yourself a favor and save your money and go to Pita And hummus instead for half the price and 100x the quality.

Improvements: add garlic sauce or more sauce to the chicken and rice and throw some potatoes in there too or something to give this more variety.

Ordered perogies, and most of them were missing filling, completely empty on the inside. I was disappointed.

Phoned on for takeout lunch and they were fast. Got the chicken shwarma pita lunch combo and the salad was big enough to have separately.

Recently called for take out and it was such a pleasant experience. Food came quicker than estimated. All the food was great: falafal and chicken dinners, dips and sauces were plentiful. We ended up getting the chicken and lentil soup because they didnt have goulash and it was yummy! Since they didn't have goulash they wrote a kind note on the hummus and offered extra drinks. To me, it was a nice unexpected gesture of hospitality.

Our cousins were in town from L. A.and we took them to Sofra Forest Hill for dinner.

Initially, I was reluctant to go in because the decor looked a tad too sterile and cold for me.but we decided to try it anyway.

What a pleasant surprise.both the food and service were great and it was a good time all around. We'll definitely go back again!

The humus was terrible it had NO TASTE AT ALL!
I would NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone.
It is an expensive place being in Forest Hill, the rent is high!

This is an amazing restaurant to eat in or take out. Both experiences were excellent and would recommend this place to anyone. My family and I have tried everything in the menu. My favorite is the lamb kabob with rice and salad. My 6 kids and I are regulars at this place. Chicken kabobs are awesome. Kids are welcome and family friendly.

We have gone to Sofra for a long time and have been regular customers but have always gotten the same item as take out. However, my family was visiting last weekend and we decided eat in and were so disappointed with this restaurant and their main food options. The presentation of the platter plates was awful-a sad pile of chicken schwarma next to rice. It is priced higher than most places but did not have ANY of the normal sauces or even pita bread! We were a table of 6 people eating in a "nice" Mediterranean restaurant and not a single pita is offered to go with the platter plates? Also, we had to ask and pay extra to get tahini and hummus, which at EVERY other mediterranean place is standard, in fact that's one of the main attractions! We won't be returning to dine in (and maybe not even for take out.)

Lafa was cold, dry, owner was rude, skimped out on toppings even when I asked for more. Not like the original location at all.

Food was great, little pricy with the chicken being a little bland but was still delicious. They need larger water glasses.

We eat here twice a week. Great value and the food is always delicious and fresh. The staff are attentive and greet you with a smile! Thank you sofra for always making us feel at home and treating all of your customers well!

Huge chicken shawarmas. Delicious, too. But I'm a beef guy. And btw Med food it ain't. It's Middle Eastern.

This pleasant cafe has the most delicious chicken and lentil soup and the shawarma was excellent. The staff was attentive and my friend and I decided to share a soup and expected two spoons, instead they kindly brought us two bowls. The only issue I had, they charge nearly three dollars for a can of pop and then they didn't have ice. Thankfully the can wasn't opened and I was able to send it back. Otherwise it was lovely and we are already planning our return. Also check out the little bookstore next door.

Sofra has some amazing and delicious food. The chicken is one of my favourite because of how tasty it is. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to any of my friends and family.

It’s a cozy place, my favourite is gulash soup and fallafa. Service is like been in your home kitchen. Food is very tasty. Home made!

The Forest Hill location has polite and knowledgeable staff. I never have to wait for a table even on a Friday or Saturday night. The prices are average for the area and the food is delicious. I recommend this restaurant to all my friends. It's a small restaurant that makes you feel at home. The staff go out of their way to please you. I love that all the food is made fresh, including the hummus and fried eggplant. I never have to wait longer then 20 minutes for my meal and the food is some of the best I've ever had. It's definitely a restaurant that you can go to a few times a week. Also been there for their lunch and it's always nice. 5 stars
