As a Middle Eastern chef and food critics experience, hummus has no taste missing some main ingredients, falafel balls are raw inside not well cooked due to improper shape, proper falafel must be shaped like a donot and the reson for that is to cook properly inside out.
The meat beef skewer is so rubbery
And dry.
The place looks clean, nice menu beautiful oven concept nice front bar presentation,
Chef must have knowledge with middle eastern food enable to have proper consistent taste for all dishes.
Prices are so
high compared to the food quality.

Love the shawarma, come here often. Definitely recommend to visit. Also, try combo's: they are delicious!

We e been coming here for years. The food is wonderful especially the sandwiches on laffah. The staff is always so helpful.

Has been my families go to place for a delicious meal for the last four years. Recently management must of changed because its new staff and new menus. The quality of the food is great and always has been. Service was beyond slow or under staffed. Our order was not taken for 40 minutes. Food took another 30-40 minutes even though shawarma is already cooked and ready. Appetizers came with the main meal so its not really an appetizer. At least they invested into the patio? Last time going to this location.

Food was outstanding! You need to come hungry, their portions are very generous. The staff go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. Highly recommend their baba Ganoush and their spinach, red garlic potatoes and feta pide.

The staff are great and friendly, the atmospher is great and the outside patio is beautiful however the food quality can be greatly improved.

My friend recommended this Mediterranean place. First time here and it did not disappoint! Server was really friendly and we ordered right away as we were all so hungry. Their menu had lots to offer, but we narrowed it down to the skewer entrées which came with a house salad. The dressing was so delicious and not to mention a big portion. My friends and bf ordered chicken breast, salmon fillet and lamb kefta. I got the lamb kebab and it came with a choice of side: rice, fries, vegetables, mashed or garlic potatoes. We also got a side of nann for the table. Overall we really enjoyed our food and the service was good. Towards the end, we did have to go the front to pay, but seeing there were only two servers working, it's understandable. Would definitely come back again to try something new! Also, they have a beautiful outdoor patio.

Their website says that they work till 9 pm. I called them the day before to make a reservation, but they told me that I could come any time. So when we arrived, we were met with a guilt trip, rolled eyes and heavy sighs: they were closing in 15 minutes! I found it completely unacceptable: they should have told me when I called them that they were planning to close earlier that day.
On the top of that, the waitress told us that we still had 15 minutes to "enjoy" our dinner.
Will never return. Terrible attitude to customers. Save your money and don't go there.

Place is ok. Babaganush is better than most places. If you offer for pick up via Uber prices are much less appealing than direct order/pick up

One of the best restaurants i’ve been to by far! Service is amazing, food was perfect.they also catered my birthday party ; food arrived on time still fresh, the taste was so amazing there was not even leftovers. 10/10 completely recommended!

Went for dinner and had a wonderful experience. Great service and even better food. Good quality and quantity.

Needed some urgent soft drinks so we stopped at Sofian, it is a good location to buy some essential items.

Last night my wife wrote a review following our dinner experience at Sofram. She just got a call from our waitress (Anna) who somehow managed to find her phone number. After so much blaming us, weather, reception, chairs and etc, she told my wife" I know you Persians". I don't have anythong else to say. Just because of this racist comment, I will come to the store today to deal with this issue in person with Store Manager and Anna. It seems that our bad experience with Sofram is keep continuing.

Also, a comment to the Store Manager: I know it's difficult to find proper employees after Covid19, but a bussiness need to have at least minimum standard for the people they hire. Otherwise, the bussiness won't be able to survive in this economy.

Service is slow, some of the patio chairs are broken, the interior is worn off and seems like the management does not care much anymore. The patio was dark and full of mosquitoes and the waitress simply said the lights are broken and not working. Well they could have brought some candles or table lights and not let the customers eat in dark! Not worth the money you pay unfortunately and despite liking the food we will not go back anymore.

Took 25 mins just to order (and that was after flagging the waitress down!) and then another 60 mins for the food to arrive. Then it took 15 mins to get our bill. 2 stars because the food was decent, but you seriously need more than one waitress at dinner time on the weekend.

Ordered falafel in lafa and it was cold, like they made it with preprepared cold falafel. Disappointing, not going to order there again.

Beware of automatic 20% tips added to bill.

We were two families, total 5 people. The server made awkward “jokes” a couple of times when we asked for anything that she’ll charge us more.

We have no problem paying for good service but we were the only table there on a Friday night, and we had to walk around the front and back to look for our server, there wasn’t a single person around! We had to find our own napkins.

The food is what you expect from Sofram but when we got the bill, 20% tips was added! This kind of money grab with questionable service isn’t what we expected.

Food is great. Won’t be ordering from Richmond Hill location ever again. They asked for the debit card number and pin. We canceled our order. Done

My meal was around 7 dollars and I paid 10 dollars cash. I was obviously expecting my 3 dollars change and was planning to tip 1 dollar. Th waiter never returned so when I asked for my change she refused to give it back and told me it was the tip and she already put the money away. That's around a 45% tip and she did it without asking me, and on top of it all she had a horrible attitude the whole time. Great, thanks so much and believe me, the food wasn't worth 7 or 10 dollars.

We tried this restaurant and it wasn't a very good experience. The place is understaffed, it took them a long time to bring us the food and when it arrives, it wasn't what we ordered. The food wasn't that great, the meat was dry and overcooked. Even the bill was also late and it had a couple of mistakes that needed to be corrected, adding to the delay.

One of my worst experience ever!

We were a group of 11 people (friends with family including kids) that decided to go to a restaurant after walking a Trial.
The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived around 3: 15 pm, then another bigger group arrived after us and then a couple.
We gave our order and waited. We only received a couple of bread baskets and waited! After 25_20 minutes we got only our appetizer (like eggplant or Babaganush) with a little bread and asked few times for more bread, while our waitress and apparently manager serving the bigger group and the couple!

I can say even manager (we found out later) was rushing to serve the bigger group with sauses!
Every time they bring a serving, kids was joking this is ours and it was going to the other table!
They totally forgot us! After another 20 minutes when we asked about our foods the waitress started to bring our order. The manager took our order to the bigger table (and they refused!) and when we told him that is ours, he took it back to kitchen to confirm!
When they started to bring ours; they were not complete! Kids (very hungry after long walking) ; received their sandwiches but French fries were missed. They brought some of the orders and my friends started eating! But I have to wait! At this moment I couldn't stand and I asked for manager! It seemed to us that they were purposely neglecting us! (Or less cared? !)
He started to serve himself too and even brought us another extra dish for complimentary ; but the damage was already done! Being angry and eating the food made it tasteless to us!
And then the mandatory 15% tip was already being added to the bill!

Note: the waitress was very rough. No smile, and no apology after all these issues. Only manager came to apologize later! I didn't see other waitress even being happy to serve or smile!
I will never go and not recommend any one to go!

The worst service we’ve had!
As a group of 11 people and with a reservation in advance, we went there. After 90 minutes, the staff started serving our table which didn’t happen in one shot! It took 20 minutes for us to have our food on table after several times asking and confirming! Some of us received the food while others already finished their meal! Kids were so frustrated and tired of waiting for such a long time! Extremely unorganized and unprofessional! They kept bringing foods to us and asking is this yours? And keep going back to kitchen! Just imagine after 90 minutes waiting, still they weren’t sure what they were doing! Very sad experience on our beautiful Sunday after 3 hours hiking! Interesting enough that they served the other table who arrived there later very dressed up and received their service without having any hard time! Here is Canada, Toronto and Richmond hill … a multicultural beautiful city! Won’t recommend and wouldn’t be there again!

Though the service wasn’t too bad, the food was greasy and the salmon that I ordered was on a bed of onions and peppers soaked in oil. The food lacked flavour and needed salt.

Similar to Me Va Me. The food was good & the patio was nice & sheltered, so even during the rain you're able to dine here.

Service is only ok. Chicken breast skewers are good but inconsistent with how they are made. Sometimes over done and too dry sometimes well.

Service makes the dining experience uncomfortable as you have to call the server for everything, rather than them checking in with you. Every order of bread is miserly and feels like you are begging for bread, as they will bring 5 little pieces for a family of 4 each time. It's too bad because we actually like the food. But it's not worth the way we feel everytime we leave. We tried speaking to management about it, but they were not very receptive. We will be looking for other options.

Poor customer service. The price is relatively high and food taste is so so compare to other restaurant. Not my favourite restaurant as recommended by my friends.

We had difficulty finding the entrance because we tried a few doors and all were locked. We called the hotel staff who helped us out and it's next to convenience store. Since the hotel doesn't have a board up at top, it's not the easiest to find it right away.

Except that rest was fantastic. We ordered 2 Falafel Laffa's ($9.49). Each comes with Lettuce, tomatoes, hummus, tahini and you are allowed 2 cold appetizer as toppings inclided in this price. We tried Artichokes with Green Eggplant & Red Eggplant in either of Falafels. I must say I have eaten Falafels at lot of places but so far this was the best I have tasted.

Takeouts are popular at this place as well. We thoroughly enjoyed. Shall revisit.

Very elegant and convenient restaurant. They serve generous meals and for reasonable prices. We liked the meals a lot and the waiters were very personal and explanatory. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE OWNERS WHATSOEVER!
We order the chicken fingers from the kids menu for my nephew and they tasted like fish! When I asked the weiters if they frying the chicken in the same oil as fish she said yes. I complained to the owner about it she basically was rude and didn't care that she will be losing our business.
Not going back and will share the word to my friends and family.

To run a long term business you need to have a good customer service!

Whoever thinks this is Persian food then something is wrong. The service is sub par.the food had no flavor more of a diner feel. The only positive thing I can say is it's cheap, but that's what you get cheap quality for cheap price.very disappointing.

We were looking something different in Mediterranean cuisine and came across Sofra. Restaurant has very good ambience and staff is good too. I have never tried red eggplant gravy in a fallafal sandwich or green eggplant. This place surprise me with new cold appetizers that could be tried with falafal sandwich. We had it on laffa and tasted pretty authentic and it was huge. I was full towards the end of sandwich and truly one is more than enough for lunch or dinner. Loved this place and would recommend.

I've been to this restaurant for quite sometimes and had ordered for take out again today (chicken shish kebob and chicken shawarma). Very disappointed for my shawarma, the meat is very dry not juicy anymore no taste at all and it's hard to chew. I hope the staff read my reviews and make it better from now on please.

Mainly do take out from this location - my absolute favourite is the Chicken Schnitzel Laffa; pretty much with everything on it - is super delicious!
The associate Eza is also very friendly.

The best experience so far! We have been several times, but this time both the food and the service were both top notch.

Samantha was our server and we hardly had to ask for anything it was as if she read our minds, refills on water, laffa, more napkins etc, she was right on top of it.

Excellent food, lovely waitress, clean restaurant. Not really anything more you could want. The babaganoush is amazing and the chicken souvlaki was perfectly cooked and very flavourful. Huge portion sizes, and amazing value for money. Definitely give it a go!

I had one of the worst experinces ever! I havr eaten at this restaurant many times but the way I was treated tonight was absolutely disgusting! Never again will I come back!
