I absolutely love this framing shop - not only do they have a fantastic selection of framing options, they’ve also got a knowledgeable staff to help guide you through the process

Pictured here is the second piece I had custom made. Awkward edges, delicate paper, and chalk art did not make this an easy task. They were patient with me while I compared a dozen different frame options, they walked me through the preservation of chalk process, and did it all with a great attitude.

Fantastic experience at SOHO. Brought in several pieces requiring variety of work from new matting to frames and glass type. Kody was incredible! The initial apt was a few hours and we greatly appreciated his suggestions, expertise and friendly demeanour. The pieces turned out exactly as we’d hoped. Highly recommend seeing Kody, it was a great experience at SOHO thanks to him!

Came across SoHo framing on Instagram and decided to use their services for some new artwork. My experience was great both times I went into the store. Kody helped me with my framing order originally and when I went to pickup the owner helped me. She was friendly and even gave me the proper nails and hooks which I used. Very happy with the framework for my photographs and illustration piece. Would return here for any future framing.

Received wonderful and helpful service during my first visit not too long ago. I came in needing a custom frame as part of a gift and they came through just in time for when I needed it as I set the artwork in myself. It was a fast and straightforward process as I had an idea of what I needed, but their suggestions were welcome and taken. It turned out better than expected.

They are very busy and were still able to help me out. I can see why! I’ll be going in again soon and will use them for my future commissions.
So grateful to have them in my community.

Keeping this review short and sweet, but I came here to say I had a 5-star-worthy experience during the pandemic, when I brought in a framing job. I've returned twice since and will be returning again in future thanks to the excellent results and customer service. (Shout out to Cody in particular!)

Destroyed a valuable artifact. I had a valuable drawing from the 1930's done by my grandfather who is a well-known Canadian artist. It was a drawing of my grandmother reading and was signed on the backing board by my grandfather and my grandmother when they gave it as a gift to my mother on her 50th birthday. It should be obvious to any framer that this was a valuable document. Just in case, I was VERY clear with the owner that this paper with the signatures needed to be preserved and included on the back of the reframed piece. Imagine my astonishment when I returned to pick up the drawing and found that they had thrown the paper with the signatures in the garbage! A paper signed to my mother from my grandparents! I'm heartbroken and furious beyond words. The owner waived any charge for the framing and was very contrite but I will NEVER step foot in this place again. I advise you to avoid it if your artwork has any value at all. Absolutely shameful incompetence.

Ordered a Christmas gift for roommate here. The service was completely Covid safe wonderful and friendly. The staff (potentially the owner) was extremely helpful, thorough and patient. The framing turned out so beautifully and thrilled the person it was meant for. Cannot say enough good things about this place. 10/10 would recommend.

We’ve been to SOHO twice and gotten great service and product both times. First they stretched a canvas for us and recently they matted and framed 5 watercolours. Highly recommend if you want great quality for a reasonable price!

We’ve had two prints framed here and both turned out meticulously. Tamar was very knowledgeable and provided skilled and thoughtful guidance on which frames to select for both. Excellent customer service and fair prices. The quality of framing has always been exactly what was required and on several occasions the younger lady has gone above and beyond to help with our needs. Ignore the negative reviews, the customer service and quality of work is always top notch and transparent.

I got two pictures framed as a gift and they were perfect! The lady in the store (Tamar?) made some great suggestions for the canvases and the frames look beautiful. I also got the work back exactly when they said it would be ready. I'll be bringing more art to Soho!

These people really know their craft! Their ability to put together the matting and frames is well worth the cost. Very highly recommended!

Caution: stay clear away from here! As an area resident and artist of 40+ years, I have never experienced a “framing" company that has failed so miserably in every capacity like this place. Their advertised "in-house experienced professionals” is a completely misleading statement. They simply do not have the skillsets or knowledge that custom framers possess, nor do they have the mindfulness to properly care for or handle artwork. As I found out, take them for what they are: a gift shop that provides low-end picture framing - but don’t expect professional work.

Something that has been on my to do list for years is to frame and put up my @jamesjeanart print. Today, I finally have it up on the wall. The fairy tale of Chang'e means so much to me and makes me miss my grandmother. Thank you to Tamar and the staff @sohoframing for helping me out. They do amazing work. I also learned that a fellow James Jean fan framed my piece and was very happy to see it.

The people there are friendly, helpful and professional. The work they've done for me has been great and on time.

So glad I brought my prints here to be framed! I had an idea of what I wanted - however the suggestions Tamar made worked out even better! Job was done quickly and efficiently at a fair price.:)

Amateur framers. Seems like they hire 20 years-olds with no experience and provide no oversight. They screwed up at least two of our paintings. One was obviously crooked, which they denied at first, then took back to fix and still came back crooked. Second one was squashed because they painting was too deep, they took back to fix, which they couldn't fix properly because the frame was not deep enough, and then just said it was the best they could do. Even though they recommended the too-shallow frame. If you care about your paintings go somewhere that cares about quality and has the experience to deliver.

SOHO Art & Custom Framing is wonderful. The staff is friendly and helpful and there are wonderful options for custom framing. We also receive wonderful guidance from the staff and they make event the a cheaply-made poster look like a sophisticated work of art!

Young girl working there was incredibly helpful and helped me save a ton of money by showing me how I could use a custom mat and standard frame rather than splurging for all custom framing. Loved her input on colour choices too. Quality of works seems great, happy with the value.

I wish that I could offer a true rating for work done but I can't because I never received a reply to the email I sent back in March. Despite owner, Tamar, offering me her card and requesting I send photos and measurements for the job I had in mind, she never ever responded to my email. When I called her back a few days later, Tamar said her workman had to leave for an emergency. She had no one else to do the work and she could not suggest an alternative service. I guess she didn't need my business nor was she concerned about the effects of her lackluster attitude towards a potential customer. Ah well.

I've taken a number of prints to SOHO ART & Custom Framing
and found that they've done great work at a fair price. The staff are kind and helpful. The prints look great on my wall. I'll definitely be coming back in the future.

Terrific customer service. They frame and install your paintings for you so it's super convenient. David was extremely thoughtful, professional, kind and helpful. Would highly recommend them to anyone.
