Place is a dump, there is no washrooms just porta pottys and you have no access to food as this place is on a farm.

Fields are poorly designed as you are playing in a forest with trees being your only source of cover. Fields are also a safety hazard as my friend twisted his ankle over a dead log covered by 5 inches thick of leafs. The other field has loose concrete chunks on the dirt and plastic bins for bunkers.

If you live in the Hamilton area you’re better off going to Cameron’s Paintball as they are a proper facility with washrooms and access to food. Don’t be fooled by the 5 star reviews as they are most likely fake. Who would rate a place 5 stars without no washrooms makes no sense go to Cameron’s.

The team there was really nice. Mia and Ryler were awesome refs made it a great experience. We will definitely be going back.

Had a great experience paintballing here with friends. Would definitely recommend to everyone interested in outdoor paintball. My friends don’t want to paintball with me anymore though because I decimated them with superior tactics and aggression.

Reasonably priced and able to customize packages to what you need. Referees stuck to the rules and would not let my son use a marker with too high a rating.sucked, but good on them for keeping everyone safe.

So today. The members of team Men of Mayhem 5 man. Team were at Soldiers of fortune playing on Black Hawk down field. Awaiting to shoot paint against some of there players that were renters Etc. (Andrew Murphy). Who is not only a member of Men of Mayhem. Was acting as our. Referee and was doing a awesome. Job. Was approached by his head refereee. And had his personal space. Invaded. To the point where it made him feel exstreamly uncomfortable as. From our position as customers it appeared that. (Mark). Was about to get in to a physical altercation with Andrew Along with yelling at Andrew employee. As customers it made it uncomfortable and not wanting to continuing. To to play. At the field. In our oppion this type of unprofessionalisum. Was totally unexceptable Amd (Andrew) our referee was sent home from work. Again not a very great representation of. Being a great field to have a good day at shooting paint. Not happy. Not impressed. Amd seeing as this will be our home field for SpeedBall. For practice Etc. We collectively as a team we’re not the least bit impressed with how things were handled.

Staff is always friendly. Great place to physically distance and get active. Lots of space and lots of parking. Bring the family!

Cons: 5 stars would come if they told us they closed early on a day. A little disorganized, pay system and waiver takes forever.

Pros: Awesome place, decent prices, good fields, friendly staff, good maps. Good for noobs and pros.

Had a great time here our ref was great she knew all the fun game modes and was very knowledgeable on safty for the kids!

Iv played here for over a decade. HUGE outdoor field. Forest, bush, buildings, hills these even a river (depending on the weather) runs right through the middle. Good prices, totally friendly staff, owners are great guys. Worth checking out.

Went for a small private event. Staff was great. We had a ton of fun playing many different games on the different fields. I will definitely plan to to get out and play again.

Good fields but the wait time in between games are way too long, I was there for an hour and played one game. If you like waiting around this is the place.

Poorly organized and fields not maintain lots of bunkers that are a hazard over all wasn't a great time at all good luck to you guys hope u do better

This was a really fun place. My suggestion would be to give people different colored vests or something when splitting into teams. I was shot by my own team mates every time

Nothing less than a waste of money. Do not go here if you expect a professionally oganized venue. WAY overpriced for what you're given. We had to swap out multiple guns throughout the day because they're so old and beaten up. The playing fields are mess with utterly disintegrating structures. So many delays.we were there for 5 hours and fit in only 4 games. They merged our group of adults with a bunch of children.totally inapropriate. They advertise multiple fields, they have only 3 and one is an overgrown mess. Ssve your money, go anywhere else but here.

Extremely disorganized - out of our group of 8 people by the end of 2 hours, 4 of our guns were broken and we had to walk back and forth to always get replacements. Spent more time waiting then actually playing.

Awesome place good people fair pricing. Three stars because the rental masks are so scratched and foggy you can't see five feet infront of you. Bring your own masks!

Had a great time. Visited with a group of 10. Be prepared to buy lots of paint balls, you will go through them fast. We went through 3000 in about 2 1/2 hours. Left with a few bruises and lots of comeradere. Groups were mixed with both newbies and pros. Everyone had equal chances and easily found a level to compete at within every scenario. Some people would charge and some would sit back. Entertaining for everyone, if you don't mind a little bruising.

I came here for m first time paintballing and had a blast go shot up a bit but shooting at people with the guns was smooth no sure if I hi anybody though but I recommend it to any new comers to paintball

This was my first time paint balling and my group had an awesome time. The refs are friendly, funny and engaging. All rules were well laid out and we played a TON of different games. All staff were friendly. There is a concession for drinks and snacks and plenty of seating space. If I had to criticize anything it would be that customers need to do a better job of putting their garbage in the trash. Yes, I realize we are outside and yes we are shooting paint, but that doesnt mean you should throw your water bottles along the trails. The concession area has garbage and recycling bins, which I think is awesome!

Great place to paintball met 3 random guys we teamed up shared rounds than met someone one else and we won every round when we played as a team will go again

Rules were not properly/entirely explained and the referee had a fragile judgment. What I mean is that the rules were explained before getting our weapons but during the game one of the players broke one of them, in my opinion which is based on the rules explained, but the referee didn't sanction the action, which happened at only few meters away from the referee. When the game was over I found out that the player who, I consider, broke the rule is one of the referees from a previous game (the fact that matters is that he is also a referee and should know the rules; it really doesn't matter to me that he joined the game even that he works there as a referee.join and enjoy the game).
Another issue was that a referee told me that if I see somebody breaking a rule then to tell him.now I wonder why do we have referee? ! I understand that a referee cannot see everything but not even somebody from a tower shooting blindly (through a hole in wall), which is against their rules!

Always a good time here! Staff is always friendly and helpful, and the course selection is becoming more and more diverse.

Did the low impact paintballing party for my son turning 9. Fantastic place! The staff were so good with the kids, and our ref "Greg" was beyond amazing! Would do it again in a heartbeat!

This was our first time at SoF, and it will be our last. They earned 2 stars simply for having working equipment and a decent field. Detailed review below.

Registration
We were initially told to wait at our seats and they would come to us. Our group of six arrived at the field for registration at 11am. We were told there would be a slight delay as a walk-on group (without reservation), but assured it should only be a 20 minute wait. They appeared to be overwhelmed that morning by the number of people waiting to register. After 30+ min, it was clear they had forgot about us. After standing in line again, I finally got my group registered. We didn't play our first game until 1: 30. Much of the delay was due to the fields being understaffed and lack of communication from refs

Safety lesson
This is the same talk you'll hear at every field. While waiting, I heard SoF staff go through the talk three times with different groups. Players were NOT advised to leave any dropped paint on the floor. I had to educate one guy who was about to reload the paint that dropped out of his rental.

Communication
After we registered, we were expecting to be called out to the field. After some time, we went up to the desk and asked when the next game was expected to start. That's when we were told of the next staging area, where we wait for games. More wasted time.

At the staging area, we waited for the next game. After some time, I approached one of the refs there who told me we should just walk on the field. No one was calling for next game. No direction was given whatsoever. A tremendous waste of time.

Packages and Equipment
We had two renters who purchased the sniper package. They were not given the belt or ammo pods listed as part of this package. The rest of us were owners. I later noticed we were charge for air that three of us didn't need as we own pistols that use 12gram C02

Fields
Not impressed. The field boundaries were not marked not were they verbally described to us by any of the refs. We had people going deep into thick growth to get around us. I don't think it should've been allowed, but the ref didn't say anything, so enjoy the ticks, fellas. Overall, the fields are not bad. It was quite muddy when we went, but that's the way it goes. I think there were only 4 fields.

On the website, the map "black hawk down" was listed. When I asked the refs about it, they had no idea what I was talking about. They referred to the fields with very generic names, like "forest".

Gameplay
Every game we played was Team Deathmatch. No objective-based games. The refs did do a decent job calling people out after they've been hit. At one point, we considered just taking one of the empty fields and starting our own game without the refs. That's how disengaged we were by the end of it.

Phenomenal experience! Staff there is super friendly and helpful. I was so sure our group of 60+ teens would drive them crazy but they were a blast and everyone enjoyed it.

Great place for all player levels. Good rental equipment. Nice fields. Helpful staff. Fair prices.

This paintball facility is by far the best in Hamilton. They have about 60 acres with several different areas to play on. The staff are friendly and the owners Vincent and Matt are always available and willing to help in any way then can. The prices here are very good. I don't think they have raised the price in several years. As well as the different playing fields they also offer rental markers and overalls to protect your clothes if you want. As far as the rental guns go they have a basic rental and a upgraded rental. I think they have close to or just over 200 markers to rent during the day. The paint shoots consistent no matter what day you are there. They do have big games at the field so you may want to go to their website and check it out. Great field, great people and tons of fun to get out in the fresh air and shoot your brother, sister, friend or parent while getting a workout also. Once you go you'll be hooked.
