It has now been 10 years since I had my service done and I am very pleased with the work that was made. I did curbing, walkway, stamped concrete, jewel stone, water proof, drainage. Basically everything around my house, also I had asked for a quality concrete with a decent mpa value which was given. 5 star

This company did our neighbor's backyard and made a mess of our newly renovated and painted deck and did not own up to their wrongdoings. They never responded to our emails and phone calls. The office staff is defensive when I call. Now I have to redo my deck and pay out of my pocket again. Totally unacceptable!

Driveway and front patio cracked surface of driveway lifted off and now looks a mess driveway and patio were not even a year old, tried to tell me it was salt damage but it is definitely not because I did not use salt on my driveway they did not tell me that I shouldn't park on my driveway in the winter because it will get salt damage, I don't care anybody's driveway should not peel off in one winter.so beware if you are thinking of using solocrete general contraction.

Solocrete did an awesome job on our porch and driveway. If you are looking for iPads and cad drawings this is not your company but if you want down to earth honest work done, contact them. Paula was responsive to all of our questions and concerns and the crews that come, work hard and they know what they are doing and they were respectful to us and our house.

New driveway put in last summer, I asked them to repair it, i was told sometime this summer!

I was ok with sometime this spring but the conversation got heated argument with them and was told that's what they say to everyone, and I'm the only person to complain.had to belive.

1. Without talking it over with thier repair person (so they don't know the scope of the repair, what's involved or the repair mans schedule)
2. Year hasn't started yet, so can this be done on a couple days where it is 20 degrees out?

Instead they just tell me sometime this year instead of finding out when.

I don't understand why some people are complaining about their concrete cracking. It's an absolute inevitable occurrence! Call them to repair it and they will seal it so it doesn't get worse. You cannot control mother nature people! My concrete has a hairline crack, they will do whatever they can to maintain it.

The work is absolutely amazing. Its the attention to detail that really makes solocrete standout. The price was very competitive given the work. I did a stamped back patio, walk way and front Landing/ front porch.

Last fall we had stamped concrete installed in our back yard and front walk. Solocrete did a fantastic job in a very difficult year with COVID making scheduling difficult.

Our rep Paula was extremely helpful and responsive to our needs and did a great job following up as we navigated the various steps in the job.

We are very happy with the results and would recommend Solocrete to anyone looking for concrete work. The workers were a good bunch, friendly and smiling on some tough days of work.

Finally the price was fair and very competitive as we had received a number of estimates and compared pricing.

We would recommend Solocrete to our friends and would certainly hire them again if required.

This company does a fantastic job and the quality of their work is second to none, however, the owner named John has a bad customer service skills, he shows up without notice and cares only about his money.

Also makes sure the contract states cash only or cheque in writing and know the total before hand. I had to pay extra $300 after agreeing on cash only when contract was signed. The owner John came knocking on my dooe and said I have to pay taxes on top. I don't like arguing about money so I gave him whatever he asked for.

He also didnt show up to complete my front porch. If you can tolerate John's and wife poor customer service then go for it

Where do I begin.from the very first meeting with Frank he had me.beyond my expectations.most polite respectful man. The workers are the hardest workers ever. Victor, you are a machine. You are one of the hardest workers I have seen. I am so happy with the final results. Everything I wanted and more. I will highly recommend this company to my clients and friends. Let me start off by saying that Solocrete is by far the most professional and reliable company I have had the pleasure to work with. I met with John who helped me with the design and layout of the project. We had approximately 1300 square feet of stamped concrete installed for all of our walkways, patio and pool coping. John helped us select the right design, colours and style to help us achieve the look and layout we wanted. Upon moving forward with the project John explained exactly when the project was going to commence and how long it would take and he kept is word. He came by on multiple occasions to ensure we were happy with the work and when we had concerns with any portion of the project John set our mind at ease and looked after us to ensure we were happy. They come well prepared with their own dump truck, skid steer, excavators and all the equipment needed to do the project which was very professional to see and set us at ease. All of the team at Solocrete you can tell had many years of experience and everyone knew what they were doing. We have had many family members, friends and neighbors who have come by and been stunned by how amazing everything looks. Neighbors stop and look every day every time they pass by our home. We have many picky family members and friends and some of which are in the concrete business and they had nothing but positive comments to make about solcrete work which is always great to hear. I would highly recommend this company if you want the project done right the first time. Thank you very much John and everyone at solo crete for a fantastic job and experience.

Hmmm. Was looking to get a quote from these guys and came across these reviews. The bad reviews and the amount I expect to invest in my property is scary stuff if some of these failures ever happen to me. I think I will look elsewhere. Gotta get these things right guys.

Started making noise at 7am on a Saturday which is against Toronto bylaw (9am Saturday) when I asked if they could stop till then they refused and laughed at me. Called 311 and sent a noise complaint.

My concrete started chipping 6 months after, called them and they said they were too busy I should seal it myself.

What can i say we hired the best of the best. Thank you John and to your crew for coming out of your way to Alliston (they dont service alliston). John you have an amazing son and a great crew we appreciate the time and effort and i am very happy. Pictures to follow soon!

We had Solocrete do a massive patio in our backyard and they did a fantastic job! It has been a couple of years since we had the work done and I specifically wanted to wait this long to make sure their work held up before giving a review. It has totally held up, there isn’t a crack anywhere and it still looks brand new. The scope of work: they ripped out/disposed of our old patio, resurfaced the area for the concrete and the completed project had a lower level that had to be flush with previous concrete around the pool, there is also a raised area for a gazebo, a large set of wrap around steps, and a smaller couple steps in a corner. They also put in a front step and did a garden border for our front yard. All the work was done well, the right level of concrete was poured, and it has held up perfectly over time. We went with brushed concrete for all the work that was done. We were thrilled with the end result and feel we got a great deal for the amount of work that was done. We get complimented on it regularly! We would highly recommend them.

Solo Crete did my sidewalk and stairs, cost me $8500 within 3 days notice hundreds of small cracks everywhere, they promise to come out and have it repair then for next two years i contact them and went to their office 100 times with nothing but empty promises finally they started to ignore me now the whole concrete looks awful and falling a part.they botched my project and don't stand behind their service.

I had this company install grey concrete walkway and back yard patio in 2014. In July 2018 I noticed alot of moisture in my insulation foundation warp in my basement. When the patio was installed i asked why did you place it on my first row of bricks. It was 2 inches up the first row of bricks. They said don't worry we do it all the time. Every 3rd brick on the first row has a breath slot. When I got a had driving north west rain it would get in the breath slots and coming in under my sill plate in basement. I brought it to there attention and they said it was my problem not there work. Eventually I had to remove patio and no problems since. The side walkway was 1 inch below my conduit coming into my electrical panel. In the winter I could just get my fingers between both. I had to remove it in fear that if I got a good frost movement I could break my conduit. Water and electricity don't mix. This company has caused my wife and myself a lot of frustration. I went to their office twice and asked John to come and see for himself. Never happened. I would strongly not recommend this company. They have cost me a lot of money. Cost to install then remove. Now the cost to install a Unilock product.

I would recommend Solocrete General Contracting to anyone.

Other than a few hiccups because of the rain, Solocrete was good. John's crew is very good at what they do, but now that I read some of the other comments I hope I am feeling the same in a year. This was a lot of work and to me a lot of money I hope it still looks nice next summer.

PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY, DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY.
Long story short, me and three of my Neighbours got scammed with this company. DONT FALL FOR MR.john sweet talk.never trust them.

Our driveways was done last year, look at the photos, called John he kept saying I’ll come see it finally shows off after two months, and he said I will get back you, but never got back to us after that. When he looked at it, he said it’s because of the salt but we never used salt or any other products. He is not answering any phone calls. It’s not just one driveway, we did 3 houses together, and all together we had almost $100,000 into this. We spoke to few other competitors and they came and looked at it and said it’s the cement mix.
Don’t fall for Mr. John’s sweet talk.
