Delicious food, even delicious poor service, sorry to say because I really like this place Maybe they had a bad day. But I will come back to this place

Excellent place we had a friends 60th birthday party there great staff and service was awesome

Attended a gathering after a funeral in a section of the restaurant that can be closed off as a "party room". The owners went the extra mile to provide a buffet with a variety of tasty sandwiches, small wraps, salads and dessert items, plus beverages including wine. Friendly staff, excellent variety of great food, accommodating and supportive family owners on site. Will be back!

Great food and a superb wine selection. Service is also excellent especially from Dave our favourite waiter.

Hosted a surprise 5th Anniversary party here for my husband. We had about 40 family and friends join us.

My husband always raves about Solstice even though he's only been there once or twice so i thought why not surprise him there.

Great experience, perfect private space and excellent food.

We had the family dinner event menu, everything was cooked and seasoned nicely. The servers were really professional and worked hard and quickly to have the food and drinks out. More food than we could all finish haha

I appreciate the ease of which the event happened and the special touch of having one of the brothers fake serve my husband and open the private room door for his surprise.

Had Mother's Day Dinner and it was fantastic. The food we ate was delicious and the service we received from our waiter Isabelle was top notch. Very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Eaten here twice. Food is good but not for this price point. Service is better than average but not especially so. Atmosphere is wannabe chic but misses the mark. Definitely room to grow and refine.

Not in the calibre of longstanding places like Piatto (sadly soon to retire after a long run) or Michael's Backdoor.

Judging by all the 5 star reviews either: some people don't get out enough, or standards have declined with the advent of COVID, or bias is involved or I am simply missing the days when they are at their best!

The server was very nice and very polite. The drinks were very good. Unfortunately, the food was not. The calamari was not fresh and it was hard and the pasta I think I had too much paste in the sauce, attested funky.

Hosted my bridal shower here and it was amazing! The solstice team was so super patient with answering all my answers and concerns. The waitress Stephanie treated myself & my party guests like family, she truly went above & beyond with her services. Will highly recommend this place for private events.

I have always been pleased with Solstice. Food is excellent and nicely presented - I have never been disappointed. Staff are courteous and attentive. The dining atmosphere is refined but without a stilted formality. Solstice remains one of my favourite restaurants in Peel Region.

This was my first time here, and I'm going back. The food was amazing, staff was cheerful and friendly and the restaurant atmosphere was perfect. This is a place the whole family can go to or a nice quiet place for just you and your partner.

Hands down best restaurant in town. Food is fantastic!

We went for the valentines special event and loved it.

I recently visited this restaurant and was absolutely amazed by the quality of the food and the friendly service. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The food was cooked to perfection and the flavors were incredible. I especially enjoyed the variety of dishes they had to offer, and the presentation was beautiful. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious, satisfying meal. Five stars!

The food was pretty good. I had some pasta with lobster tail as a side. The service could've been better. I was waiting on my server for nearly 10 to 15 minutes after the food came, so I can ask for cutlery, which should have already been provided.

Amazing dinner as always! Been dining at this restaurant for many years. Service, atmosphere and food are always on point!

My wife and I have been enjoying this restaurant for many years and it's still one of our favorites. The service is top notch and the ambiance is excellent. The prices are good in terms of the quality of food you receive and the menu is refined and excellent. They tend to have prix fixe and special menus for holidays which are generally amazing. My go to is the seafood paella, I've yet to eat a better one anywhere else! They are a staple of the Clarkson community and for good reason!

The service was good, staff is friendly with a family feel. Although, the steak was tough and was of poor quality resembling a shank. Definitely not worth the $40. The dessert was slightly cold in the centre revealing potentially thawed from frozen and not fresh. I will not return. Do not recommend.

I posted a review on Solstice restaurant on December 28. I have shown that review below. I received a response from the restaurant that I have also shown below. I feel I need to revisit the comments made in the response from the restaurant and that is as follows:

“I would like to address the comments made in the response from Solstice. Your assumption that you feel you have the right to address our budgetary concerns is quite presumptuous. It was not a case of budgetary concerns but merely a statement that your pricing for luncheon specials is over the top, along with the price of your wines. The pomposity of the statement speaks volumes of your reaction to constructive criticism.

In the ideal scenario, management should have addressed our initial comments re the wine pricing instead of putting that on the server to explain.

Just for the record, yes, the server asked if our meals were okay. Mention was made that the sauce was very thin and the response from the chef was that this was a natural reduction and that’s how it comes out. So replacing the initial meal would have been exactly the same.

You are correct, we would never entertain returning again since our expectations do not match your service or business. "

“This is my second time here for lunch. Went on a Wednesday for the half price wine special. Mine was reasonable at $22.50 half price but my friend wanted a Pinot Grigio and the only bottle they would offer was $65, hence 32.50 half price. Having said that, their house wine Pinot was offered by the bottle at $40 but for some reason that wasn't included in their advertised half price option. Not cool.

Secondly our meal. So the luncheon special was penne chicken with Alfredo sauce. It was like a soup. Looked gross, but tasted ok. Also $21.95. Hardly a "special". Would certainly not recommend. ”

Our wine list is ever changing as we source wines from around the world. The half price only applies to wines from our bottle selection not our house wines. Just like any business, we reserve the right to choose what is offered under a 'sale'.

We are very surprised that you both left us a 1-star review.

It is a very rare occurrence for us to receive your kind of rating. We use our reviews and feedback as a tool to continue to strengthen our business and provide better guest experiences. We always strive to exceed our guests’ expectations.

In doing this, we have procedures and steps in place to ensure guest satisfaction. One of those steps is quality check from the server a few moments after any meal is served. This is to ensure the customer is happy and enjoying their meal and experience. Looking into this, the procedure was followed. Your server followed up with you both. She was informed that dish tasted great but not impressed with the presentation. We never want a guest to leave unhappy with their meal. She offered to have the dish remade but her offer to rectify the concern was declined.

We are not able to understand why you both would provide feedback on food that you both didn’t order. It is difficult for us to use that as constructive feedback and properly rectify issues. You decided to leave unhappy and provide a negative review instead. We pride ourselves in our food quality, selection, pricing, and service that has been well received and enjoyed by many of our guests over the past 18 years.

It's unfortunate our business and services do not fit your budgets and expectations. It is also unfortunate and very sorry we will no longer be sharing our hospitality with you both.

Went here for a work Christmas party. We had a very nice/large private room. The food was a fixed menu but offered a variety of options. The staff did a great job of managing our large group. Would definitely go here again.

It was my first time visiting this place and I was not disappointed. We where there for a party of 19 to celebrate my parents 60th wedding anniversary. Food was delicious with generous portioning, service was amazing by all (special shout out to Laura). We were made to feel welcome and particularly appreciated the feeling of not being rushed. I will be returning 100% with some friends and highly recommend to visit. Great job!

There’s not much more compliment I can offer this restaurant other than my regular attendance. Im there weekly to enjoy some of my favourite items on the menu, but never disappointed when I explore the other items.
I’ve had both of my son’s baptisms there and have hosted my staff parties there. They always deliver.

The food there was phenomenal. Best italian food I've ever tasted. The service was also really good. They were so nice to us. Definitely would come back to this restaurant. I would give them a 5/5.
