5-Stars for home-made garlic dipping sauce We came here for my brother's birthday and had the crispy wings, and 4 pizzas for 4 people. Needless to say, it became leftovers. This was my first time visiting and everything was delicious. The wings were amazing and saucey enough. Pizza dough was beautiful and we were very intrigued by their Pear & Walnut pizza. Highly recommend going here for any occasion to grab some pizzas and pizza beer.
Great spot - food is spectacular and it’s everything you want from a pizza place. Fun staff working hard even when it’s a little hectic on a Friday night.
"Son of a Peach Pizzeria offers a delightful experience with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The rustic decor creates a cozy setting for enjoying their exceptional pizzas. The menu boasts a variety of creative and delicious pizza options, each topped with fresh ingredients. The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive dining experience. Whether you're a pizza enthusiast or looking for a casual spot to enjoy good food, Son of a Peach Pizzeria is a tasty choice with a welcoming ambiance. "
My mum and I came here for lunch- I've just moved to Burlington and she was visiting. We both ordered the Burlingtonian pizza, hers without pepperoni. The pizzas came very quickly, our server was efficient and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious! I took half my pizza home and it heated up extremely well in the oven so I could enjoy it again. The only thing I would say is that one side of the restaurant was full, while the other side had all empty tables, so the din around us was significant that it did make it hard to hear each other (or to not hear other tables' conversations). Fantastic place, definitely stop in if you're looking for some quality 'za!
I had an absolutely delightful dining experience at Son of a Peach Pizzeria with my family. The cozy interior, warm staff, and delicious food all contributed to a memorable visit. We started with the Garlic Knots and Jalapeño Popper Dip, which were both scrumptious. The highlight of our meal was the Burlingtonian pizza; it was the perfect choice, and we couldn't get enough of it. We're definitely planning to return to Son of a Peach in the near future. Highly recommended!
This place is something else in bad terms of hospitality and quality of tables/chairs. The food might be good but from what we saw, it wasn't as spectacular as these over inflated reviews indicate. Greeted by a hostess who clearly looked as miserable as she could be, offered a table literally by the bar on the other side of where you enter, table/chairs unbalanced and small Saw the pizzas being brought to other tables and they were anything but impressive especially watching one customer trying to eat their pizza but ultimately didn't because it was literally burnt so bad on the bottom. When you have to convince yourself to eat at a place because of other peoples above average glowing reviews, it's usually not a good idea to eat there so we left.
First time here and two bites in, we knew we discovered something special. The BBQ Chicken Pizza is awesome, and the Garlic Knots are amazing! Rose, our server, took great care of us. We're going back for sure.
Nice place. Good pizza. Could have been a bit better if it had a little bit of extra salt. Start friendly in general but vary in their level of interaction. We were two and it took them a few minutes to find us a table. We tried to sit first then were asked to head to the reception. It could help if there was a sign with information because the table ended up going to someone else although we were there first.
Visited a couple times on Friday evenings and they were able to seat us relatively quickly without reservations (they don’t take reservations for Fridays). The pizzas, appetizers (cauliflower bites!) are amazing. Highly recommend the pear and walnut pizza if you are feeling adventurous. Decor is also pretty cool. Love all the food puns! Service is top notch. Overall a great, relatively causal place to dine.
The pizza at this restaurant is tasty. I have to say though takeout is just a DISASTER! I honestly can’t remember ever ordering takeout and not having an issue. It is ready late or they have forgotten something. I have a stack of about 10 free garlic knots that I collect every time there is an issue. It is super disappointing!
This place is amazing. I forgot to take pictures but we had the Caesar salad, wings, meat pizza and a margarita pizza. The quality of the toppings on the pizza were so so good. We've had the Caesar salad before.so delish! Candied bacon and a lemony Caesar dressing. My husband and stepson are not huge salad fans but both loved this salad. My stepson said the pizza crust is the best he ever had. I honestly can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Will definitely go back and highly recommend.
Fantastic little place for pizza and apps. Had a fantastic experience with all the staff, everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. With the staffing and supply chain issues, they still managed to go above and beyond.
The food was delicious, the service wasn't too good, we ordered wings and pizza, the pizza didn't come out until the wings were almost gone, and the pizza wasn't hot, the online information wasn't up to date, if we would have known all the things you couldn't get anymore, we wouldn't have wasted our money with them.
Best wood oven pizza place in Burlington. The staff was professional and courteous. Been a few years in Burlington and surprised I haven't visited earlier. Great place for families too! Call ahead to check for availability.
I absolutely loved my visit to Son of a Peach. It was my first time visiting the Burlington waterfront area and my friend suggested to meet for lunch at Son of a Peach. We sat on the patio and enjoyed a couple drinks and had the Pear Walnut and Wild Mushroom pizzas. The pizzas were both really delicious and their chili oil (on the side) made them even better. I highly recommend a visit to Son of a Peach, they won't disappoint!
Never disappointed when eating at Son of a Peach. Garlic knots are where it’s at! Gets busy fast so be sure to get there early for a lunch date. Inside dining can get loud when they start to reach capacity.
We went here today afternoon for late lunch. After strolling through spencer smith park we were hungry and this was the perfect place. The ambiance of the place is really good and service was impeccable. We ordered bbq wings and bbq chicken pizza. Both were very tasty and with enough quantity. We enjoyed pur lunch today at this place and would recommend it to my friends if they visit the spencer smith park which is right across the street.
Though there are limited options for veg. But the ones they have are outstanding. I never had such tasty pizza ever. Freshness wa embedded throughout. Service is superb. Must must visit. Best pizza in Burlington?
Just walked in here to order takeout it’s 5 pm when I ordered they told me it would be ready at 630 pm. Last time I checked a take out pizza shouldn’t take an hour and a half and the place wasn’t even that busy. I’m not waiting 90 minutes for a pizza.
This restaurant has a great menu with great ingredients, they just have obvious operational issues. Take out is a huge struggle for them. We have ordered take out several times and given a pick up time, this time has extended well over a half an hour beyond what they tell us and has happened quite frequently recently. Another very odd issue is their “Starters” menu, they have an item called “Jalapeño Popper Dip”, good luck trying to order it. We called to order it and we are told “it’s not on the menu tonight”, we used two 3rd party delivery services to try and order this dip on several different occasions and it magically gets removed from their menus as well. It’s such a shame because we no longer order from Son of a Peach simply because of this missing appetizer randomly. They really need to learn how to operate the restaurant properly, until then, we will avoid and recommend others do too, it will just frustrate you.
Food is decent but our order was missing one of the two pizzas we had ordered. When I called to inform them, I was told it could not be sent to us and we were refunded instead. Disappointing.
The pizza and food is okay. I mean its not the best pizza in town that's for sure. Their customer service though needs some serious help. While I was there the other day, a staff member rudely ignored a customer, when I pointed it out that the other customer was there before me she said oh no that's an Uber driver, she can wait. I looked back at the driver who seemed irritated, not wanting to get involved I picked up my order and left. Am I wrong to assume that delivery drivers should be treated as customers as well? Either way i didn't appreciate the cashier/servers attitude. Also, it's polite to say Your Welcome when customers say Thank You!
We were there on a Friday afternoon. They still have indoor dining closed we sat on the patio. The spicy salami pizza with honey was my favorite. Definitely worth going to.
This is a hidden gem. The preparation is so good and it's all fresh, top it up with great and friendly service by people like Olivia. Awesome place with great people and delicious meals. Worth every penny and more.
Pinch me. I may be dreaming! It's hard to believe this place is as amazing as it is.but it REALLY IS! Their garlic knots are little bites of heaven, the kale salad is perfection, the crispy cauliflower was sublime and the Hi-Five pizza is going to be my personal valentine next February.:) I have been trying to make it to son of a peach for a while, so I am SO glad that we chose to order from here while I was feeling poorly at home when I should have been out celebrating my birthday. The staff were SO kind, really and truly lovely humans, and the food was to die for. Seriously. I may even order lunch from there tomorrow.it's that good!
Okay it’s a pizza joint but, BY FAR the best wings I’ve ever had. One flavour, one sauce. That’s how you know they know it’s the best. Super crispy every bite, perfect heat and sweetness. The jalapeño sour cream is amazing. As expected the Pizza was great, but get yourself the wings.
Honestly people are so easy to please. 2 stars MAX.why? Prices. Ridiculously expensive for what you get. 120$ for 2 small pizzas 2 beers and 2 bubble teas. Pizza was bland. Beers were domestic and bubble tea tasted like normal 5$ bubble tea.
We recently had lunch here. Everything was exceptionally good. Recommend trying house made peach ice tea and refreshing cocktails. Food is great as well.
The most delicious pizza I've had. Ever! That's a big claim.:) But my Burlingtonian was delicious and absolutely worth the wait/drive if you're not local. Paired it with the spiked peach iced tea. I wish I took a picture of the chicken wings because they were also delicious - crispy, sweet, tangy, and generous sized. I would absolutely come back again!
The food is AMAZING - 11/10. It's our favourite restaurant. We have ordered take-out from here nearly every other weekend and the food never disappoints. We've had hiccups with our orders before, but for our most recent order on July 28, my husband picked it up and when he returned home (20+ minutes away), we realized part of the order was missing and we paid for it. I called the restaurant and the woman who answered was so rude, no apology whatsoever, and acted as if it were our fault? Didn't so much as say sorry or thank you. I get they are VERY busy (as they should be!), but it doesn't excuse rude behaviour when the fault is of the restaurant. She did refund that part of the order (not the full amount of the missing order, but we didn't care). I'll have to triple-check they include everything in the order next time as this was the second time it happened.
Had the wild garlic for my first visit here and this is hands down some of the best pizza I've had! Highly highly recommend. Tried them on uber eats, had the Meatza and Burlingtonian with garlic aioli, (pics below) and also delicious but wild mushroom is my fave!
We had a wonderful lunch yesterday on the patio. The service was excellent. My two teenage children went ahead of me while I parked and were treated like gold. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and took great care of us. The food was delicious, as always, best Caesar salad in the city. Pizza was awesome. Thank you, Son of a Peach.
Absolutely in love with this Pizzeria, We come back here every time we are in the area. Their pizzas are all so good! My personal favourite is the Fig & Prosciutto one. Garlic knots are so flavourful as well (def on the greasy side). We got their fried cauliflower as well, the two dipping sauces made the whole thing really amazing (chimichurri & some kind of aioli?) Service time was reasonable for takeout, but they didn't ask whether we would need utensils or not, just assumed we didn't need.
The best pizza we've had in a long time! We ordered the Burlingtonian. It was delicious. Incredible crust and lots of toppings. I don't give 5 stars very often, but this place deserves it. We will be back. Cheers!
Fresh ingredients, great taste! Ordering by phone is tricky as they are quite busy and you may not get through, may be more efficient to walk up and order. It's worth the wait and definitely a place to try!
Basically went to this place for the first time with my girlfriend. Our order was 1 Hawaiian pizza. It was supposed to be ready for 6: 15. We got there by 6: 30 due to traffic. When we got there we waited another 25 minutes to find out they gave our order to someone else. The person they gave our order to came back to give it to us. Very unorganized. Wait time is ridiculous. They were clueless when I told them they messed up and gave our order to someone else.
I had high hopes, but they were dashed. After reading other people's comments, I am not the only one who would agree their service is horrible. What makes or breaks a restaurant is the service. I will be the first to write a 5 star and give props to places that really treat you will. But I will also be candid when they drop the ball. The waitress (red head) here dropped the ball. It was busy but she never made us feel welcomed. Asked for a glass of wine that was on the menu but they did not have it or willing to offer a similar type wine by the glass. When I went to choose another drink she said that she will come back as she was busy. When she brought over the drinks, she just drop them on the table and left without a smile or thank you. I can see how the owners wants to create a certain experience but regardless how cute the place is or how good the food is, the service is what we remember. Please take the time to coach the team on a friendly welcome, engaging follow-up during their meal and create that amazing client experience we all want. If it happened to us, I am sure it has happened to others. I would not recommend at all
Very slow service. Got the wrong order after 45 minutes of waiting, then had to wait for 20 more minutes to get the right pizza, which wasn't even good and had burnt kale! Manager issued a receipt which included the wrong order (which was more expensive) and was surprised we wanted to pay for the right one! Got no compensation neither for the slowness nor for getting the wrong pizza in the first place! Never eating there again.
Pizza is amazing! Everything is freshly made to order and so delicious. Staff are friendly and sweet, place is really nice inside! Perfect for lunch or dinner. We ordered the pepperoni and bacon and the prosciutto and arugula, both delicious!
Very delicious! Miss living in Burlington for this place. Some people are saying the service is bad, but I didnt find it that bad. It's a little pricey, but it's worth it. Taste very fresh. Would love to go back!
The pizza is some of the best I have had! The garlic knots are to die for. The dining room is cozy and decorated with pop art and warm lighting. Definitely would recommend.
Absolutely amazing pizza and appetizers. Fresh, unique and wholesome ingredients. Quantity and quality worth the price. Lost a star due to service. Although everyone was friendly and courteous, staff wasn't very attentive.
Great atmosphere and menu. Pizza type for everyone. Good wine list too! Recommend for a date night or out with friends and family. Takeout seems popular.
Amazing pizza and salad was great too! We really love the BeeSting but it has a bit of a bite so kids may find it too much? A small clutch during our ordering cause a bit of a wait.less than 15 mjnutes5, but staff made up for the issue without us even asking.thanks! We'll be back!
I love pizza. I could happily eat pizza every day for every meal. I've had thousands of pizzas from hundreds of places in my life. This was the single greatest pizza I've ever had in my entire life.
Great mid-sized menu that's not overbearing, awesome appys; the garlic knots are killer. Good beer and wine selection and the pizza is prepared for you in an open concept from scratch and baked up nice and crispy in their pizza oven. Nice little downtown location, great for a date, family or friends. Parking available on the street or nearby lots.
Restaurant is cute, service was friendly though slightly unattentive. Garlic knots were the best part of the meal. Pizzas ranged 17 to 35 dollars. Pizza dough was a good thickness and cooked well, the sauce was tannic and bland. Tasted like I was eating Delissio. Had to smother it in basil. Will not be going again.
The food is fantastic, we shared three small pizzas, a salad and calamari. The restaurant was cute, tiny but cute.
Service was horrible. We had to get up and get our own take out box after watching all the waitresses stand at the bar for 20 mins without coming over. Then we had to go and ask for our bill because after we were served we didn’t have another employee come to our table to check in. We ran out of water and didn’t have anyone come ask if we needed drink refills.
Food was fantastic though. It was closer to the end of the night. But service wasn’t great.
I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Unfortunately this restaurant has horrible customer service. We waited 45 minutes for an appetizer-1 salad and then waited another 15 minutes for two small pizzas. We were told the manager was the chef and was too busy to speak to us. Then we were told the bartender was the manager and said because everything is fresh it takes a while. We had to ask two different waitresses for a manager. When we arrived it wasn't busy and then we were given the run around just to get our food and a manager. The staff was extremely rude and gave this restaurant a bad representation. Would not recommend this place unless you have an hour and a half to waste waiting for service and for food. I don't believe this to be an isolated incident, nor will it be the last. Try a franchise for better service and better food.
I've quickly realized after reading so many negative reviews that this kind of horrible service is "normal". Absolutely horrible. It seems the mom and pops of this place doesn't seem to care at all.
I can understand that the wait to get a table on Saturday night would be fairly long, 30-40 mins, as it is at most restaurants. We sat at the bar to wait for a table and it took over 10 minutes for one of the girls behind the bar to finally ask us what we wanted to drink. We decided to order apps and about 45 minutes later got our table. We order the tomato salad‘s which are supposed to come with a balsamic dressing and when the waitress brought them to our table there was no dressing on the salad. We pointed it out to her and she just said “No it’s mixed in but I dan bring extra”. Then it took over an hour to get our pizza. I have no idea why it takes that long but they definitely need to do something about the service. We ate in like 10 minutes because we were starving and quickly payed the bill and left. They did remove one of the apps off our bill for the inconvenience/ long wait, which they did on their own we didn’t need to say anything to them about it which was kind of nice. Pizza was good but it’s definitely not worth going back again.
There should be a signature peach cocktail, peach dessert or appetizer (salad with peaches) to go with the name of the restaurant. Noticed how some maintenance (painting) and cleaning is needed. Service could have been friendlier-One waitress only. Pizza was good.
Great spot for a thin crust perfectly cooked pizza. I've had most of the menu options some much better than others. Can't go wrong with a margherita pizza though. Can be really busy highly suggest ordering ahead of time.
We got the garlic knots and tomato mozz pizza. Both were amazing. Their pizza sauce is one of my favourites, so savoury and light. We also tried their creamy garlic dip - hands down best garlic dip you'll ever have.
This little pizzeria is so cute. It’s pizza is by far the best I’ve ever had. Their garlic Knots we’re also very good. Our server was nice enough, we were her only table and had mentioned we were new to the area, she gave us some good information about local hot spots. I will absolutely recommend Son of a Peach to anyone looking for good food in a casual setting.
The pizza was fantastic. The ingredients were fresh, the sauce and the crust both were flavorful instead of just being present.
They were very busy with the Mother's Day crowd and a mistake was made on our order, they apologized and corrected the situation completely to our satisfaction.
Great “hipster” pizzeria restaurant located downtown Burlington in the village square. The hamburger they have on the menu occasionally is delicious, the pizza is fresh and tasty, but not the best I have had.
