This time I received toasted burn Shabhaley with Khaptse flavour. Seems like used same Khaptse fried oil on sha bhaley.

I tried the beef curry, it was the best curry I have ever taste in Toronto, it was excellent amount of spices and curry. It s fast services and amazing environment all around. Definitely going back for that delicious curry …

I stumbled across this wonderful restaurant by accident. The food was excellent and service was fantastic. Everything I tried was really tasty.

One of the best taste I found in the area with very decent prices and polite hosts.
I definitely recommend. Especially their Chole (chick pea curry with Tiberius bread)

Best chicken curry in town, tastes very similar to Singapore style chicken curry. Other than the taste, the quality of the chicken is excellent. A lot of other restaurants get chicken without the feathers plucked, but not this restaurant. The price is great as well. I love the chicken curry here.

I had to edit my review because they have the best Chickpea curry in town as well, I fell in love wit that chickpea curry especially wit the chicken thali and the hardest part about moving to Montreal is having to let go of the chickpea and chicken combo from this restaurant

Best food and service in whole Parkdale. Very polite and courteous to customers. Highly recommend, experience the true Tibetan hospitality and cuisine.

I ordered via Uber eats hoping to get authentic Tibetan Momo’s and dish’s.unfortunately it turned out to be a major disappointment. The momos are the worst that I have eaten in my life. The wrapper was very think and the meat was dry and uninspiring. Other dishes, noodles, also tasted stale. It is a disgrace to the wonderful Tibetan cuisine

A very authentic Tibetan experience. The butter tea is yummy and complimentary. Enjoyed the thukpa, vegetarian cheese dish and Momos.

Saw some good reviews so I decided to try it. My friend got the curry chicken and we shared some beef momos and I got a vegetarian chow mein.
The beef momos were my least favorite. They seem dried out on the outside. So I must’ve gotten bad ones because reviews were positive on their momos.
There was some people we knew there and she had bought the deep fried paley. There was also these massive pan fried ones there to purchase as well. She got us to sample the deep-fried ones and they were very soft and the texture was really nice. I would’ve bought some if I didn’t already have bread at home.
My friend liked the curry chicken. It was a curry chicken with bones so if you don’t like dealing with bones you won’t like that.
The vegetarian chow mein had tofu in it and a bit of bok choy mushroom and scallions. I liked it.
I would definitely go back to buy the bread (paley)
Prices were reasonable considering prices post Covid.

Update:
I went back a week later and tried the momos again. This time beef & veggie plus a thali with chicken (you can choose between chicken, beef & veggie).
My momos were the same. Dry almost hard wrapping. So definitely my least favourite beef momo in parkdale and I’ve eaten at lots of places in parkdale. I’m new posting here but if you look elsewhere I’ve made lots of reviews you can read about.
The thali was decent. Dhal was alright, veggies nothing special.chicken was good but I would likely just order the curry chicken stand alone next time. It was better than the thali.
I was gonna buy one of those giant palay breads but they only make them in the morning and once they sell out, they are gone.
Will have to stop by at lunch to get one

I can't say enough good things about this place. Food is awesome and prices are fair. Too bad that I cannot eat spicy food but for lots of dishes they can make mild versions! I cannot have enough blood sausage, beef tripe, baklep bread and churu from this place! I mostly order takeouts but if you dine in you are definitely going to be impressed by the aesthetics of the interior.

The most delicious and affordable veg thali I ever had. There is meat options also. Rice and dal can be added again for free if you are not full and want some more... A must go restaurant with good veggie options

This small cafe is a must try for anyone looking out for authentic Tibetan style momos. Though there are a lot of Tibetan cafes and restaurants in Toronto, but I would highly recommend Songsten cafe because of great food and very pleasant customer service. I tried steamed veg momos which came with hot sauce and some pickled radish. I will be going back soon!

This was my first time ordering from Songtsen, and I’m relatively happy with my pickup order. I’m not familiar with Tibetan foods, so I didn’t know quite how spicy it would be - I order it to be mild, but it was still a bit too spicy for me (I just can’t handle spice). The portion sizes were huge and the prices were super affordable. The flavours were great, but the potatoes in my soup were undercooked, so my soup ended up being a bit crunchy. I’ll definitely go back to try some of their other vegetarian options.

Ordered the pork thukpa, chicken momos, and beef shambalay.
I didn't like anything except the chicken momos. I would go back for them. I did get a 30% discount w cash.

As we all do, the weekly night out with the family is a very cherished and bonding moment. As the tibetan communitity is very small and you can basically count the number of authentic tibetan restaurants in both hands, I have been through all of the different experiences each of the unique restaurants have to offer. Thus by far Songtsen was the closest experience to home food, not concidering the house vibes or the people, this is going strictly off the food. Coming from a Tibetan family and with tibetan tastebuds this is authentic home style traditional tibetan food. Highly recommend for people looking to try actual tibetan food, not some fusion corny cuisine for the "engi" people.

People working there were super friendly and the menu is great. The food is delicious and will definitely be coming back for more

Great place and even better food. Stopped in for lunch with the husband and kids today and was very impressed. Had the Beef Shabalay, Ckicken Momo, and ChickenThali. Everything was delicious and really reasonably priced. Can't wait to go back and try more

Tried for the first time and it was amazing! Definitely one of the best Tibetan restaurants in Jameson Parkdale area.

My new favourite local spot. Have only been once but the beef momo are unreal. Incredible flavour, inexpensive, huge and most importantly made fresh to order. Great lassi as well. Very friendly and good vibes all around. Looking forward to trying entire menu.

If you wish to have a home like food, this is the best place to give a try. I had thali, sera bhaklep, and home made noodles.they are all so so good.

Awesome eat and also a great place to hangout with your friends. Def going there again, try the Tibetan Noodle btw.
