Sonny's Drive In

I was there few weeks ago and there was cockroach crowing on the window the size of my thumb fingernail.
Its been my fav burger join for long time, but I won't be back.

Very well served excellent food even though the power went out in a moment our order came out on time and the staff a 10 100% recommended

Greatest fast food place in Brampton. Family owned Been in business for approximately 30+ yrs.

As we would say in Chile, this is a picada! Very tasty sandwich at a good price.
They do not accept card payments, only cash, but don't worry because they have an ATM inside the premises.
The service is takeout only, but outside the premises they have some picnic tables where you can sit down to eat if you wish.
They do not pay attention to the table, but it is very useful to eat there under self-service.
We went to Sonny's several times during our stay in brampton and would return if we could.
Highly recommended!

I ordered a simple burger and I ended up with the idiot made put my tomato right on the bun who puts a tomato On the Bun it's lettuce tomato onions tomato mix the bread soggy everybody knows that

Delicious burger, fresh toppings, perfect curly bacon. Piping hot onion rings. Steak sandwich always a good choice.

Unless it's bad weather we always sit outside on a free picnic bench and do some people watching as we eat.

Never disappointed with Sonny's.

Best take out burgers in town. The sausage on a bun is and the poutines are famous. Gotta check this place out if you haven't. Mm.

This will be my first and last time going there. The burger was mid, I’ve had better. I also got the poutine and the fries absolutely disgusting, literally tasted like how a farm smells. I had to just throw it away.

I've been coming to Sonny's for years because it's such a classic Brampton location and it's held up really well. Burgers are flavorful and fresh, onion rings were crispy and the poutine was amazing. I'm genuinely surprised they've kept this high of quality over these years especially in today's circumstances, well done Sonny's. Anyone in the area has to try this place at least once!

Always a great place for a classic burger or sausage with fries. Any time I'm in Brampton it's on my short list.

Such a nostalgic place. The food here is tasty and always consistent with their quality. They are open year round and even though they only have limited outdoor seating it's worth it. The perfect spot to visit on a summer night

I’ve been coming here for many years. The size of the poutine is half the size it use to be but still the same price or even more.

Undercooked food, hair in my food. Food & safety should be there to investigate this place.

Sonny's is the place to be.many customers and foods are great! Old school burger house that been long for a decade. I highly recommend

First time visiting Sonys - we are east enders and moved to the west end so we are slowly trying new places. We got hotdogs and fries. Hot dogs were cold on the inside and not the greatest quality. Service was not great from the guy cashing us out to the guy making our hot dog. Fries were actually really good hence the 2 stars.

The worst part about it is they only accept cash. First off why are you charging tax then? It’s shady and unethical as we know when you’re only asking for cash because you’re probably are not reporting your full revenue. Secondly, we had to use the ATM inside your establishment to take out cash and we paid an additional $2.99 fee to do so. So we spent $30! On 2 hotdogs and 1 fries box! If it was amazing I wouldn’t care! We had to ask for ketchup and the drink they forgot to give us. It felt like a crime asking for fried onions on the hotdog, and our drink that THEY forgot to give us (like we were lying or something) and asking for ketchup for the fries felt like a bother…we didn’t dare to ask for a straw so used our own… like really? Yea not coming back. Bad attitude all around. Felt like we were treated differently…. I’ll keep it as that as we witnessed others, older males, getting much better attitudes and smiles. Sad

I have been going to Sonny's since it opened,
It was, at the time the best burger place in Brampton.
But as I visited today, I am sorry to say, it is time for this place to close.
It has absolutely lost all of the vigour the original owners had put into the business.
The burger was there, the fries were so bad, even when I tried to feed the birds, they declined to eat them. Plus it was a small fortune, Harvey's smokes this joint for half the cost.
The property must be worth 5 million at least.
So sad.

Good fries. Not the greatest experience, kinda trashy. They didn't wear gloves while handling food. No plant based options.

They have changed the portion size for the fries and onion rings. It is now half the size and yet the same amount of money. It’s a ripoff.

A mistake was made on my passed order when I called the restaurant an employee told me I could pick up my missed order any time and it has only been a week. When we got there today to pick up some dinner and the missed item we mentioned what was missed and they remembered the exact order, after we paid the employee that I spoke to over the phone proceeded to raise his voice and was very rude. The food is good but unfortunately due to the way we were treated as long time customers we will no longer be going there.

This place is amazing! The food always tastes amazing! A really popular place, and it's a nice vibe being able to sit outside at night eating burgers and fries! Love it!

30 yrs of going here and all I’ve ever had was poutine & onion rings. Tonight we ordered wings and chicken souvlaki. My gosh it was delicious!
I definitely recommend you try the souvlaki Wings were awesome too!

I grew up in Brampton and knew the original owners and the the one's until recently.
It saddened me to eat there last night.
For any long time, Sunnys customers, you will notice a chance in the gravy and the frys.
Old owners used lard for fry's and gravy. (More expensive). Long process, It just tastes cheap now.

Fries and chicken strips are the best items on the menu. Would not recommend the fish, or the burgers. The food here used to be a 10/10, however I find the quality has gone down in some items.

I love the hamburgers and hotdogs and fries but I’ve decided I don’t like their poutine! To be fair we had to drive to sit in a park as the picnic table area had absolutely no shade so it probably would have been better if we ate right away.

You knew exactly how good the food was going to be and taste like the minute you walked in as per the great aroma of
the steaks on a bun, the large beef patty burgers and cheeseburgers as well as the savory taste of their famous large onion rings aa well. I have lived in Brampton now since 1977 and have seen numerous take out food vendors come and go but trust me you will always get your large size servings that Sonny's is and continues to be for over all these years now. If you have never been or tried Sonny's ever before than all I want to know is what has taken you so long to try their great large size food servings and delicious menu of excellent food at still very affordable prices? Staff is courteous and always eager for your feedback on their food, service and quality of their famous food items. They even appreciate the time you take to remember how Brampton has changed from a small farmers town suburb of the city of Toromto to 1 of the largest cities for constant growth and constant redevelopment of this great city named Brampton, Ontario, Canada in several past and probably many more years to come in its
future years as well. Proud to call it my hometown but not my birth town.

I highly recommend this place great food fast service and friendly service the burgers were amazing there should be more places like this in Brampton
