We went to this restaurant in search of good Thai food and we found the ambience and hospitality of the restaurant too good! It was well decorated and beautiful place. The food was fresh and tasty.

Very good ambiance and food tastes great. Prices are on the higher end compared to other thai restaurants. Flaming fish dish is a must try here

I’ve been visiting this restaurant for many years. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. The menu is diverse with lots of tasty options. The decor is timeless and pricing is reasonable. Looking forward to returning again soon!

Had a pretty poor experience. The service was very poor, and I wouldn’t go again with a large group, or for any special occasion. Gave 2 stars for food, but there are other restaurants in the area that have great service and food, and that you can have a great overall experience, which this place cannot provide. They seemed to just want to rush us, and just wanted us out of the restaurant. They also weren’t very friendly, and when we asked if we could move, as we were right next to the door in -7 degree weather, they were unwilling to do anything. I had placed a reservation about 8 days ago, so it was not like a last minute call for a large group, and I think they could have saved a better table for us, especially since it’s a pretty big restaurant. Also, there were definitely places we could have sat, but they just didn’t want to do anything. We were taking pictures, and the waitress had no patience to just wait a second before placing our food, in this tiny cramped space next to the door. For desserts, the waitress just barked at us that the kitchen was closing, and to hurry up to order. I understand that the kitchen was closing, but if she wasn’t so rude, we’d probably have ordered 2-3 desserts. Food was great, but because of the service, I wouldn’t bring a large party or anything. Maybe take-out. Definitely other places for dine-in Thai food.

The food was delicious but a little bland. We asked for not very spicy and that was good but flavour was low.

Enjoyed a birthday lunch in the late afternoon for my sister. The decor was beautiful as well as the warm welcoming servers. We ea h had different meals and everyone loved it. The shrimp chips with peanut sauce were amazing! We will be returning.

Sadly, we had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. While the food was only ok, we were there to visit with friends and were rushed from the moment we arrived. We had a reservation for 6: 30 and they were asking for our order before we had even sat down and before our friends had arrived. The entire experience felt rushed. We were ushered out an hour later. They needed the table for an 8: 00 reservation. For a $65 per person I expect better. The one star is for the mango salad- it was delicious.

Bad service - Rushing through ordering the food, No one bothers to attend tables with smaller crowd.

My only issue is (sadly) their service. Firstly, within 5 mins we got settled in our booth area, we were told by the server/waiter to order the food soon as "we are very busy today" and as matter of fact they were NOT BUSY at all - this was at 5: 45pm and the 60% of the restaurant tables/booth areas are all empty.
Anyways, we ordered one appetizer and decided to order entrée once they get our appetizer at our table. And then even before we got our appetizer the waiter comes again (within few mins we ordered app) saying "you need to order quickly as we are busy"! This PUT ME OFF! (unfortunately, we couldn't leave as my kid was very excited to be at this place).
We ordered the entrée and 30 mins later, we first got our entrée and 10 mins later after entrée we got appetizer!
Then they got the wrong dessert which took another 20 mins for them to get the correct order. So, overall we waited more than we relaxed to sit and enjoy the ambience and food.

Perfect for a holiday dinner with friends and family or a cute romantic date or a girl friends dinner.
Food is OK, I wouldn't say it was the best Thai food I ever had but for the price, the taste and quantity is fair.

Ordered take out and found a bug most likely looked like a cockroach in the middle of our pad Thai. Most disgusting thing I have ever experienced! Do not go here! I have uploaded a picture of the insect fro reference under photos

Visited on Sunday. Have been before as well but it has never been like how it was on Sunday. They need to tackle the labor shortages, or stop entertaining bookings over the phone when they know they don't have enough staff. We waited for more than an hour for food (which was good as far as taste was concerned) but it only came after I repeatedly told them to cancel the order and that we were leaving. We were so upset by the time it came with an irritated and hungry toddler that we finished in 10 minutes and didn't enjoy the experience at all.

Good ambience, average food, high price. If a Thai restaurant doesn't ask for your hot preference, they are missing a point to engage with customer needs. Ended up having a Thai flavoured food that, if asked, would have preferred more spicy. Portion size for appetizers is too small. And the main course costs an avg. $20 but curry doesn't come with rice. Imagine!

Service was slow and food was kind off there's better options steps away don't bother

This restaurant is one of our favourites in downtown Oakville. My wife and I have been many times and have never had a bad experience. Their food is amazing and the service is always very cheerful. We get take out often as well and it’s great! The ambience is also really cool!

No issues with the service: waitress answered all the questions we had and never made us wait long.

I got the Green Curry, my buddies got the Pineapple curry and the chicken fried rice. We all loved our food, it was super delicious. I think that the food might be a little bit on the pricey side, by just a couple dollars, but the ambiance makes up for it. It feels super upscale inside, and that's a huge highlight for me. It has this hot pink / purpley lighting inside, really nice wood interior, and cool decor. They also have these round tables in the back of the restaurant that look super fun.definitely going to try to reserve one the next time I go.

A lovely little spot, that I highly recommend you visit if you'd like Thai Food.

Food is good from a non-Thai perspective. Recommend green and red curry. So food is 5 star. There are way too many fruit flies. When asked about this, the waitress said she knows but can do nothing about it. Maybe time to call pest control. So environment is 2 star. Service is nice but infrequent. Only added water twice, both upon ask… so service 2 star. Overall 3 star. Hope they are doing better.

STAFF ARE EXTREMELY RUDE! We asked the waiter a question and he put his hand and said don’t ask me I’m busy! And no one helped us we left very disappointed.

The restaurant is cozy, good presentation, the food is good, but the customer service is poor.

Halal chicken but Slow service… the restaurant is designed really well but customer service is not a priority here. The food was alright nothing exceptional …

The service was terrible, we had ordered water for the table and asked 3 times for it and never got it. Took them over 20 minutes each time to either take our drink and food order, the only thing that was fast was giving us the bill when we asked.

Surprisingly the food quality was not up to the standard. Overall service was also disappointing. Everything that we ordered was tasting sweet.

Food is excellent. The shrimp pad thai is my favourite. We have had the green and yellow curry which was also good as well but nothing beats the pad thai. The ambiance is nice but the lighting is very dark throughout most of the space and makes it hard to see the menu. The service is not the best as I find the staff have a hard time hearing or seeing. They didn’t give us the correct rice bowls that we ordered and tried to charge us for it and we never got the beverages we ordered. They are also quick to take away your plates when you haven’t even finished everything which made us feel rushed.

The fried tofu was light and not oily. The eggplant delight was exquisitely tender. The portion sizes are normal. It has a nice ambience but it was a little too dim inside.

Good food, friendly staff, easy reservation. Interiors could use some upgrades and could have better lighting and should have some specials on days like Valentines. Overall good experience.

Amazing.flavorful.warm hospitality and a beautiful setting.hope to dine in soon. Such beautiful decor and the food did not disappoint. The Green Curry was seasoned and spiced to perfection and I'm so glad I opted for the spring rolls.

Solid Thai food but I've had better for cheaper prices. I got a green curry that had no heat behind it despite being told it would be spicy. Truthfully I've had better green curry at spoon and fork. The portion size was good but it was just chicken and broccoli.

My gf enjoyed her pad Thai but said it lacked a distinct flavor or any heat. The sticky rice pudding was pretty tasty.

It was fine but nothing to write home about.

Amazing food and decor! The service is awesome too! We were a big family and on informing the waiter that one of the family members was allergic to peanuts, he paid special attention to make sure any food that was served on that side of the table had no peanuts. Ofrcourse it was fairly quiet when we went in but I just found that extremely nice.

We were way too hungry to take pictures their Pad Thai was the best I have tasted so far!

Although the place is beautifully decorated and service was efficient and friendly, the food itself was underwhelming.

We ordered the tamarind shrimp ($25 for 5 pieces) and glass noodles ($18). Price was little expensive for the portion and flavour.

There are many other Thai places that serve flavour impactful dishes, so I wouldn’t return here. Very underwhelmed and did not see the value of the $50 bill.

Heard many positive things about this restaurant and unfortunately had a direct opposite experience.

Dinner started off with waitress coming to table after 10 minutes. Only to open communication by saying "what do you want to order. "

Given the length of time we had enough time to select appetizers, main dish and a bottle of wine.

Appetizers arrived in minutes, while waitress poured wine in both glasses leaving bottle of white in middle of table. I personally don't need the taste test, but an ice bucket would have been nice.

Meal was very so/ so. Had green and red curry and the two person varied appetizer option.

Well end of meal really set the night for me. The bill arrived after our last bite, which we paid leaving a decent tip. Only to 3 minutes later be given a second bill by mistake.

Then we were approached by a lady wearing two masks a shield and gloves. Who asked us to leave? Saying she needs the table.

I stated we both have wine left and we have been here all of 70 minutes. While pointing to almost all other tables who had been there longer.

She then asked well can you? I said sorry we need to finish our wine, then will leave. She walked away while it appeared others had set up another table for the couple waiting to sit down.

In end after eating out multiple times a week for years never been asked to leave. I understand COVID presents new challenges, but after 70 minutes and spending $200 find this experience completely unreasonable.

The atmosphere is great, but service, food and overall experience is what matter to me, and this one will be very memorable for how it ended!

Lots of other better options in Oakville and Burlington.

I only like the lunch menu here. It’s extra for a small bowl of rice that used to come with the meal.
The quality of the food overall is decent.

Ambiance is better at night. Day time your eyes need to adjust because it’s so dark in there.

Food was ok but service too officious.
Before we finished our wine, the credit machine was plopped on the table. I didn't even ask for it. Also for a restaurant of this size and caliber, they should be prepared to check the new QR code for vaccine compliance. They don't seem too interested in checking.

The location is perfect in downtown Oakville on the square, the decor inside is inspired. The Golden squid with the sauce is delightful so many great dishes hard to single out just one.service can be a little muddled sometimes.

Absolutely amazing service and amazing food.

We ordered the Garlic Shrimp and it came with a good amount of big shrimp. The shrimp was delicious and flavourful!

We also ordered the Pad Thai and it is absolutely insanely good. Unlike many other Thai restaurants in the surrounding area, this Pad Thai has immense flavor. The noodles were cooked just right, there was almost a "creamy" texture it. There was no 'ketchup' flavor (that's when you know a restaurant is making cheap pad thai). This pad thai tasted rich and authentic.

10/10 would recommend.

For me and my girl friend, we orderes a appetizer assortment, that's meh for flavor and plating. The 2 main course we ordered were Pad Thai Chicken and Pineapple Shrimp, they are.home-made. We also ordered a lychee tini and thai ice tea, well. I had betterone before. If you are in GTA and craving for Thai food, go to EAT BKK, they have several locations across dt and uptown. Save yourslef a trip here.

We decided to celebrate our Anniversary at the Soontorn Bahn Thai restaurant, and what a BIG MISTAKE IT WAS. We reserved a table for 2 at 7: 00 pm and the place was not that busy. We left at 8: 50 pm without having dinner as the order was late and the waitress kept apologizing. We cancelled the order and left angry and frustrated. If you want bad service, go there, if you want to wait for hours before you are served, go there.what a terrible choice we did. Well never again.

Had a pad Thai here and it just wasn’t that good to be honest, didn’t seem like there was a lot of flavour other than sweet, and it was pretty dry.

They took forever to take our order (half hour) and then another hour and a half for the food to arrive. I also asked for water several times as it was really hot out in the patio and I'm pregnant and also took them a long time to refillour drinks. Once the food arrived it was OK and nothing special and very small portions. To top it off at the end our bill was incorrect. Will not be coming back.

My girlfriend and I were very excited to try a new Thai place out in the heart of Oakville, and we opted for this one with high ratings and a beautiful setting. However, we weren't blown away by the food nor the service. The assorted appetizer we ordered for one person wasn't very appealing for the price it was for. And the other dishes could definitely be improved on taste and texture. And we appreciated our table was on hold for a bit before we got there, but we would just appreciate next time if the servers didnt have to continuously come to ask us for our order without an adament time to look at the menu. And they took away our plates so quickly so it felt rushed. Besides that, if they make some improvements to those, it would definitely be a go to place considering location.

Overhyped! It tasted nothing like original Thai food. I don't understand if the hype is due to the lack of authentic Thai restaurants in the GTA or something else, but I've had better experience elsewhere. Starting from the quantity to the taste of the food everything was below average for me.

This is my wife’s favourite spot to eat. While I’ve never been a huge fan of Thai food, this place changed that. Food is higher quality than most places. The owner is also super nice - which is just a bonus.

Firstly I just wanted to say never go here if you want good service. I was with a group of my friends just to go eat late lunch, and it was not that busy, they made eye contact with us while we were waiting and they never approached us to sit us down. We had to ask them how long we should wait and then they took us to our table which we waited for like 20 mins, and there was lots of tables empty. They didn't even give us the menus when sat, we had to ask for them which took another 10 mins for them to COME BACK with the menus. They didn't even give us water we had to ask, and they never took our orders for at least 25 mins, we had to raise our hand to get their attention. After they took our orders we waited for almost an hour to get a plate of food, are you joking? AND THE BEST PART IS THE FOOD TASTED LIKE SO BAD I felt like nauseous after I ate it. I ordered shrimp pat thai and basically the whole noodle dish was peanuts mixed with bean sprout and rice noodles that were over cooked, and funny thing is that they gave more peanuts on the side. It tasted so bad I was starving and I couldn't finish the plate of tiny food I didn't even finish half of it. My friends and I could no longer eat the food, so we tried to get the waiters attention by raising our hands to ask for the bill and all she did was give us the " ok" sign like as if she knew what we were gonna ask her for. She never came to our table for like 10 mins and we had to ask another waiter and they said they weren't allowed to help us because he wasn't our server, even though we didn't have a server. Then when we finally got to ask them for the bill we asked for separate ones THEY GAVE US THE TOTAL BILL when we asked for SEPARATE BILLS. This overall was a terrible experience and I would never go there EVER again. I wish I can give it zero stars but ill give it one for the interior designing of the store.

We will gladly be coming back. From the second you walk in, the ambiance is set with a dim but warm atmosphere and if your lucky enough you can even sit in the traditional Thai booths! (9/10). We were greeted by a collection of servers tending to us the entire night. It is clear that they care about the quality of their service (10/10). We had the Thai appetizer assortment, chicken pad Thai, red beef curry and the veg fried rice (9/10). The lychee martinis were a real treat as well. The pricing is nothing but fair for the location, quality of food and service.

First time we went was good.
Second time we waited an hour and food came one dish at a time before I could even recieve a Sapporo. No cutlery, no service to speak of. How long does it take to open a beer can. This is terrible.

I usually don’t post reviews but I had to for this one. I was in a group of friends and we’re high school students. They made us wait to be seated for 15 minutes. They didn’t greet us, so we had to ask to be seated. No water was served until we asked and we waited for almost 50 minutes to get our food. We got in the restaurant at 2: 50 and we got our food at 3: 55. One of my friend needed to leave earlier at 4 so she asked for a takeout box and her separate bill but the waiter came with only the takeout box. We asked the waiter for the separate bill again but the waiter brought the TOTAL bill after another 20 minutes. Everyone else was served except us. The place was very fancy and clean but we were not satisfied with the service at all, and for our taste, the food wasn’t great there.

Very nice restaurant nestled in the beautiful Oakville Downtown. Food is delicious! One can taste the spices distinctively. Staff is very courteous & very good ambience. Everything we ordered from appetizers to main course to dessert were very good. Will revisit them.

We decided to do a bridal shower at this restaurant and asked for the more private area of the restaurant. The staff were so kind and helpful about all of it. They allowed us to do some minor décor and activities without disrupting guests. Great service and food, would definitely recommend!

Being placed in the heart of downtown Oakville, the food is very reasonably priced, but does not sacrifice on the quality. The colorful decor and low lighting makes the atmosphere very cozy and romantic, perfect for a date.
Finally, the door to get in is unique and fun.

This restaurant is a hidden gem! To find it you really have to be looking for it or go with someone who knows where it is. The decor inside is very modern and the staff are very friendly, attentive, and quick.

The food is amazing and pretty decently priced for the amount you get. Their Thai iced tea is delicious and not too sweet as well. Since discovering this little place it’s now our go to when we feel like Thai cuisine.

The worst Thai food ever! The restaurant decor is very nice and I was expecting upscale dish with it. So unfortunate that their quality was so poor. Will never go there and do not recommend it.

My boyfriend and I were there for a late lunch. We had very good service and our food was delicious. We had pad thai and a curry dish. Both were filled with fresh vegetables that weren't cooked to death. Loved it.
