This was a huge relief to us when embarking on such an expensive and legal step together. Now in 2023 we are happily married and recently sold that house and bought a new home together. I am unsurprised and happy to report that the quality of service from the Law Firm and this particular team has only improved with time. A lot more of the process is virtual now which is easier to schedule. We trust this firm with our biggest life milestones and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. You’re in good hands!

I would NOT recommend Sorbara Law to anyone, specifically because they chose to employ unethical lawyers like Ryan Baker. He is extremely dishonest and uses questionable practices - he is committed to win at all costs, which involves lying, breaching court orders, falsifying evidence, and outright abuse of others. His knowledge of the law is weak and he was reprimanded several times for this during my case, but his knowledge of scheming and manipulation is extensive. Lawyers throughout Waterloo Region have nothing but negative comments and disdain for the man because of his actions. He conducts himself this way under the pretence of being protected because "his client advised him to do so" which protects him but isn't at all the case. Yeah, I got away with some pretty horrible things under his representation, so some of you will like that, but this shouldn't have been how my case went. Its an embarrassment and more importantly, its a huge risk to clients who stand to lose substantially if their lies and abuse is discovered. And what he's done is simply wrong. Run far and fast from this firm.

I am dealing with you through my lawyer for a property at OTIS being developed by Momentum Developments. Can you follow your professional code of ethics and respond on a timely basis? My lawyer and I have never dealt with such a third rate law firm who don't follow their own professional code of ethics.

5/5 stars! I never thought I would be writing a positive review for a law firm, but with the experience I had it would be negligent not to. Closing on a property for the first time came with a lot of ups and downs. Thankfully, I had Myles and Slonee to guide me through it. Myles was great to work with. He was patient and organized when I was frankly, chaotic. Slonee must be the top lawyer in the region, if not she should be. She answered all my questions and panicked phone calls with a calm reassurance that emphasized everything is in fact, going to be fine. Having a lawyer who is not only knowledgeable and efficient, but also supportive can make a huge difference in navigating through a legal process.
I will absolutely be using Slonee, Myles and Sorbara Law for all future real estate transactions and recommend them to anyone.

Ridiculously overcharged for our home sale and purchase of a new property. Sent multiple emails and never had a proper response. Unprofessional and overpriced.

Sorbara Law saved a potentially disastrous close for my family and myself being held by another firm in KW.

They were only retained to do what the lawyer basically refused to do or could not. Slonee and her Clerk worked hard to save our deal, which was accomplished.

I called and asked for a document only once. Early, the next day, I was called about a possible delay, but all turned out great. I had my document by end of day. What more could anyone ask for. Guess what firm my real estate lawyer retired from and who now will have my future business!

Lawyer didn't do squat during my proceeding. Took a very neutral role.

Also, kiss your entire retainer goodbye no matter how much time you use. They will purposefully make sure you CC anyone/everyone to increase their billable hours on a simple email. It took three weeks for me to get my bill after we concluded. They were probably spending time trying to make sure they ate all the money.

I had one meeting, a letter (which was sent 2 weeks after they said they'd do it and required pressure from me to do) and a drafted agreement, along with a handful of back and forth emails, and this all somehow cost me $2873? Really?

How convenient that it cost almost my entire $3000 retainer. That's somehow 6 billable hours between my lawyer and the assistant.

Don't be fooled by the fancy old building or the confident message they give at the start.

What a joke.

At $400 per hour bring lots of cash.most lawyers will charge you for doing clerks work. Most Lawyers will NOT tell you, if you have a winnable case. Have your eyes wide open and think clearly before you talk to a Lawyer.
