Was on hold for over 20 minutes and then was transferred to answering machine automatically. Message box was full so no help at all. It says "error has occured" and hung up. Sounds more like they have a lazy
worker that doesn't want to answer the phone or at least maintain the answering machine. Not a good first impression. Won't be going here.

Will not send your results to your family doctor. When you call to tell them you're in a queue. After 20 minutes that queue pushes you automatically to voicemail, which is permanently full. Showed up in person and they were just closed! Nothing on their website, nothing on their phone messages. SOUNDCARE MEDICAL TAKES THE OHIP MONEY FOR YOUR PROCEDURE AND KEEPS YOUR RESULTS HOSTAGE! DO NOT GO HERE!

So I'm reading through these reviews after I couldn't get ahold of the clinic to move my booked appointment in April. Only to find out that the clinic was closed due to their own issues.
I want to say that I had an absolutely amazing experience with this clinic in the 4 years I've been seeing Dr. Haebe. He is personable, the FIRST gynecologist I have had that remembered me and my medical history. The care and time he spent explaining things to me in ways that made sense. Reading people's reviews, I am shocked to hear their poor experiences and I'm sorry. Yes, I wish drs did more for IUD insertions. Mine was an awful, painful experience. But that's unfortunately how it is for us. I've had mine for a couple years now and I'm so happy I have it. I'm sad this clinic is closed because of the convenience of the location. Going to Orleans isn't something I want to do. But I will to keep getting that personable care.

I used this imaging centre in September after a friend recommended it and because they offered the earliest appointment.

The U/S process appeared to go well, but the first res flag was when I was assured the report would be ready in 5-7 days, set my appointment 10 days away and when I returned to the doctor the report has not been sent.

Unable to reach them by phone or email that morning, I drove back to their site to follow-up on the report. I was assured they would check on it and update me. I was not updated. I followed up in October and was advised that the report had been sent over to the doctor mid September (the doctor did not update me either).

During the report review with the medical staff, I realised that the completed abdominal U/S did not report on specific areas of the abdomen. I was advised to reach out to them to find out why. I did. This is when I was told that IF my doctor wanted that information they needed to request it specifically.

People do not do U/S for STYLE. There is usually something wrong that they are trying to identify. I have a known and diagnosed problem in the lower abdomen, but my reason for the U/S was something else. They latched on to the known and obvious problem, and reported on that, but failed to report on critical organs.

Interestingly, the sonographer called in a senior personnel towards the end of the procedure, who apparently attempted to get a better image of the known abdominal issue. I did not mind this, as monitoring is important. He provided specific instructions to help him get a better image and I complied. The nature of the instructions received, resulted in me passing gas ONCE during the entire procedure. It is a procedure that requires fasting prior to. However, the report indicates that an organ could not be visualised because I was gassy.

I now have doubts about the accuracy of the report and consider that I will need a second opinion.but they do need to improve their MEDiCAL professionalism and quality of the medical services they provide. People's lives may depend on it.

Though the actual staff performing the diagnostic tests is great, the phone and front desk staff unfortunately are rather lacking when it comes to customer service. No shortage of arrogance and abrupt service provided here. While sitting here, could not believe the way the customers and especially elderly patients were treated. Almost as if patients should be thankful to get into their clinic. In particular, the gentleman at the front desk lacked courtesy and respect.

Oh, and believe it or not, nothing's changed since the height of the pandemic in this clinic. Still required to wear a face mask at all times. My doctor's office, my blood lab, my local hospital have all long dropped any mask mandate, yet this clinic still forcing masking on everyone. I have been to 2 other imaging clinics in Ottawa and neither of them still require masks. Poor administration here?

Today, my boyfriend and I went for my 8 a.m. Appointment. When we got to the place around 7: 41, there was no one at the reception. We can clearly hear the staff talking. We waited for couple minutes. When it was 15 mins before the time, my boyfriend tried to look for a staff to register us a the reception, he was able to get the attention of the male staff however he sounded irritated due to being interupted in their conversation. Eventually I was registered. There were 5 people that registered after me. The problem was, all of them got called by a nurse except me, despite the fact that my appointment was at 8 and it was already 8: 05. I went back to the reception and asked as to why all the other people that registered after me got called even though I was the first person to register for the 8 a.m. Appointment. The respond I got was that, there are 4 technicians and that i'll just have to wait. I was honestly upset, so during my ultrasound i could not stop my tears.
When the technician asked me why I was upset, I mentioned that I feel that I was ignored because I registered first and the other people that registered after me got called before me. The technician said that she is the manager and that they have a book-off so she was working on it that's why she was late.
I believe that 8 a.m. Is the 1st appointment for the location and my appointment was at 8 a.m.
I only got called after I asked the reception as to why I haven't been called yet.
If I did not go back to the reception, will I get ignored until my supposed appointment time was over?
The male receptionist had a very unwelcoming attitude, which is not good for that location.
Staff conversations can be clearly heard through out the waiting area, some of the topics were not even work related.

I will try to find another location that provides better service.

Booked an appointment over the phone for 230. When I arrived at 215 the lady checked me in, grumpily might I add. 45 mins later I still hadn't gone in while many people scheduled at 3 had been seen. I went to ask her if I'd been forgotten and she told me that there were multiple technicians. I told her that doesn't make sense, she checked and said my appointment was at 3: 30. I wouldn't have booked it at this time because I had an important work meeting. Also not sure why she wouldn't have flagged anything seeing as I was there a whole hour and 15 minutes early?

Terrible customer service. If you hate dealing with people, why are you in this job?

I have used
their ultra sound services in the past. Recently, I needed them again. I have always been impressed with the cleanliness of the place. The reception staff are, pleasant and professional. The technician made every effort accommodate me since there was some pain involved, due to my injury. This would certainly be my first choice for medical services.

This is my second pregnancy with a different family doctor who referred me to this practice. Overall, my experience wasn’t terrible but it left me feeling a little disappointed.

I had my 20-week anatomy scan today. You have to understand that parents are VERY excited to see their babies, especially at this time point because of their development and movement. Our appointment was 40 mins long and my husband and I spent the 39 mins of it in silence. My husband was able to peek over the shoulders of the technician (the usual TV monitor was off) but I was unable to see anything. Halfway through I asked if I would be able to see my baby and she said she would show me at the end. I got to see my baby for about a min at the end with a short blurb of “here is the head and legs”. I had to ask to see the arms and made a comment about seeing the heart. Maybe this was a one off situation because there was also a student working with the technician at the same time, but I was very disappointed.

For my first pregnancy, I went to the women’s ultrasound clinic where the technician showed me the entire exam and explained to me the entire anatomy of what she was measuring during her process. She even showed me where my placenta was. I got to see my baby move and experience watching my baby for the entire time.

The first two technicians I had here gave me the whole show but this was the one I was looking forward to. I left feeling disappointed. What was even the point of bringing my husband with me if we didn’t get to see anything? It was even worse when the technician made comments to the student saying things like “oh look, the baby’s really active right now”. I felt really sad.

If I were going to have another pregnancy, I will not be coming back. I’ll be asking for a referral to the Women’s Ultrasound Clinic. Don’t get me wrong, the technicians here were friendly…just not the experience I was hoping for.

Very poor service. My doctor requested a disc of my ultrasound so he could review it with me. I was to pick it up. Had heard nothing so phoned the day before my appointment and was assured it would be ready. Stopped on the way to my appointment and no disc.

I had a very unpleasant experience with the ultrasound tech today. Receptionist was super kind and welcoming but the technician was not. Didn't ask if I was doing okay at all throughout both exams done, didn't give me anything to clean up with (I had to use thin napkins for on and inside me.) and rushed me out of the room while I was cleaning up and getting dressed saying she was late for her next appointment. I've had many ultrasounds done at this location and other locations and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. I was literally crying during my appointment because of how rough and unsympathetic the technician was. I'm currently in a lot of pain as well which I've never experienced before (I've had many of these same exams done before). As someone who's going into the healthcare field, this is really discouraging to know that some patients are treated like this. Won't be coming back:/

I would say that the technician I landed on was not too helpful. Did a very small amount of scanning and was incredibly prescriptive about what they would do. Because of that, after my first appointment, I had a second one which I did at the same location. Only to have the same person again.

I just had such a terrible experience. Technician did not explain nothing, they usually let you hear the baby, she refused to do so.she was complaining all the time that my bladder wasn’t as full as she likes even when I had 2L of water prior to my appointment. She was so rude and pushed so hard I even have all my belly red.

I cannot recommend Sound Care Medical Imaging enough! On January 18th, at 8 weeks pregnant, I attended my first ultrasound (at another ultrasound clinic) blissfully unaware that my world was about to come crashing down. Due to covid restrictions, I was by myself when I learned that I was likely having a missed misscariage. 1 week later, I was to have another ultrasound to confirm this tragic diagnosis. I called clinic after clinic trying to find a location that would allow my husband to attend the ultrasound with me. Despite advising these clinics that I would likely be receiving bad news, I was told no over and over again. Then, I discovered Sound Care where I was finally shown some compassion in my time of need. I was so relieved to have found a clinic that would allow my husband to be by my side. In fact, they routinely allow partners to obstetrical ultrasound appointments. The ultrasound technician that did my ultrasound was fantastic. She approached the delicate situation with grace and empathy. I will forever be greatful! Ladies, if you are expecting, this is the place to go.

I can’t give half a star or even just no stars. I sat there last week for 2 hours waiting and again I sat there again for 2 hour all because I was 6 minutes late because of traffic. I was very upset the entire I sat there I was almost in tears because I’m pregnant. My husband is very upset with this place as well because they are ALWAYS 1-2 hours late with patients. I’ve been there 3 times and been the exact same every time.

The lady who works at reception is very rude, made me so uncomfortable I cried. The gentleman however is very kind. After calming down heard the staff joking about how I needed mental health help rather than an ultrasound. Would hope to have had a little compassion from medical clinic, especially because ultrasounds can be a very anxiety provoking experience.

Don’t ever use this clinic we had Dr Baker for our pregnancy never met him once.
He never came to any of appointments it’s the poor nurses doing everything.

I took my wife here for a Sonogram imaging during initial pregnancy days of our first pregnancy. My wife was really stressed and to top it off, the unorganized Punjabi Indian receptionist at the sound imaging really mistreated me and my wife. She is such an illiterate because she cannot read from the card and write a name properly or even put a date of birth in a right manner. She was highly unprofessional and disrespectful especially when I was supportive of my wife and she came out of reception when I was trying to sit with my wife to comfort her due her pre ultrasound stress. The Indian lady and her white reception male colleague were passing comments and laughing about people who had children and passing time instead of focusing on the reception work. I would never recommend anyone going there. Please save time and go to any other place which treats you well.

I was referred to Dr. Baker for surgery and he was really great to deal with, answered all my questions, explained the surgical process and recovery ahead of time. He really took great care of me and I am back to feeling 100% thanks to his surgical expertise. A great doctor. A great surgeon. Highly recommend.

I had a referral from my doctor to have an ultrasound completed on both my left and right elbows and booked an appointment.

When I arrived, I was told that for some reason, the ultrasound had been booked as a request for one wrist. It was corrected at reception, but when I went into the room with the technician, he informed me that he only had time to do one elbow during my appointment and I would have to book another appointment for the other elbow. This was because it was originally booked incorrectly.

I explained that the error obviously wasn't mine and that reception had clearly made the mistake. He again said he didn't have time to do both as there were others waiting. There were only a few others in the waiting room at this time.

In the end, one elbow took 4 minutes to complete and I was shocked that they couldn't take the time to perform the other elbow at the same time.

My only option was to book another appointment for the following day, which means (including driving) 90 minutes out of my work day because they didn't have 4 extra minutes to correct their mistake.

Completely unacceptable and unprofessional in terms of service. Admit you made a mistake and correct it.

I don't want to suggest that I had to book a second appointment for this reason, but if I'm not mistaken, OHIP pays them per appointment.

I booked an appointment with them 10 days in advance. They sent me an automated text about the appointment. One day before the appointment, I called them 10 times and left a voicemail to call me back in order to give me the prep instruction. Every time I called, the automated message said: " you are a third caller" on the list, but nobody answered the phone. I did not know the prep instruction and thus, I missed my appointment. The receptionist called me two hours after my appointment and said: we are sorry about your experience, but office was closed yesterday.
HOW ON EARTH I WAS A THIRD CALLER ON YOUR AUTOMATED MESSAGING SYSTEM, AND YET OFFICE WAS CLOSED?
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE.

First time at this clinic. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm friendly front desk staff. I waited only a few minutes and then was brought to a room by the nurse and met Dr. Newton. What a wonderful, professional, lovely man who took the time to get to know me both medically and personally. I was nervous as I was coming for a quick procedure. Dr. Newton was reassuring, put my mind at ease and the procedure was quick with little pain. This is a wonderful clinic that I had no idea existed!

Was here in December but wanted to wait until I experienced another ultrasound place and had something to compare it to. Well after going to the Montfort, I have to say if you are a FTM, go somewhere else like Montfort. My first experience with an US and I felt like I was an inconvenience to the technician. Also, they don’t give you photos which meant a lot to me for my first US and being a FTM! Montfort made me feel so welcomed and talked me through everything and supplied me with about 8 pictures (for free without me asking) at each ultrasound. Given covid and being alone without your partner as a FTM I was nervous and not comfortable. This place was so cold I’m so grateful I listened to my doctor and went to a hospital for the rest of my ultrasounds.

I encountered a receptionist (maurine) at the front desk, a ultrasound doctor (dont recall the name), a medical doctor (Dr. Newton) and a lady who escorted me to Dr. Newtons office (Nancy). Maurine was very sweet on the phone and in person so thank you! The ultrasound doctor was also very nice and gave clear directions and was patient. I was scared and she reassured me by explainning the process patiently so thank you. Dr. Newton is awesome too. Very personable and easy to talk too however I do think he could of explained things a bit slower and it would if been nice to not be judged i guess for not using protection however overall he was great. Nancy was awful. So rude and impatient. I was stressed and and she explained to me how the follow apt was gonna be like (she asked what time and if she could contact me by text) however being scared and overwhelmed it kinda just flw by my mind and when i told Newton i didnt remember her talking about the follow up apt he got her to cone back and explain it to me and she was so rude. So much attitude for a heathcare professional i was schocked. You should not be working there if you dont have the patience nor the compassion for pstients who are dealing with the worse thing they could be experiencing in their life. I hope she gets removed. Everyone else was great.

I am very surprised how nice is the staff, I called on Monday afternoon with a requisition for an ultrasound, the lady answering the phone was really nice and helpful, she guided me through the process and next day Tuesday morning I got a call from them to schedule my appointment.
I would definitely recommend them, anyone struggling with health issues and need their services, for sure you will find guidance and help to get the tests and test results as soon as possible.

I have had a great experience with sound care medical. Although I arrived a few minutes late for my appointment, the receptionist was very kind and told me it’s okay we will try to get you in and they did. She was so polite and had a positive attitude I felt like I was treated with care. Also when I went in they treated me well and my appointment went very well. I left feeling happy and satisfied.

When I went there it was nothing short of amazing and excellence, all the staff were very kind and helpful and patient with my appointment process we’re very courteous of the COVID-19 situation with maintaining 6 ft distancing between all including staff members, were very helpful and kind and the service was great and treated me with excellent care, over it was amazing and it was a wonderful experience that I was provided

Very positive experience. When I called for an appointment, the staff member I spoke to was kind, showed compassion towards my situation, and went over and above to help me get the appointment I needed. This far exceeded my expectations. At the appointment itself, there was no wait time. Again, the staff were kind. The purpose of the ultrasound was explained to me, as well as each step of the process. I was in and out in no time at all.

This is a horrible imaging centre. We held on several times as we got cut off 2 times and then told to hold on, and eventually lost our place when the agent again said we should hold the line and the line went dead! An agent eventually said they can not see a requisition for now and that they have several faxes/requisitions from doctors that are yet to be "downloaded. " These folks do not appreciate that people's lives depend on these ultrasound images. Sound Care Medical & imaging is a terrible place to deal with. I just followed up with the doctor's office and it was confirmed that the requisition was faxed to Sound Care at 4: 00 pm last week Friday! This is shameful. An endless wait time on the phone, terrible response on the phone and a clueless customer service. I wish I can give a zero or a minus 1. It is best to avoid them.
Where is Sound Care actually located? 1145 Hunt Club was the address we found but this horrible coy is not located there because there's no building there! This is a hopeless coy. We called & had to wait for some time to get to someone, but she doesn't know her own workplace address!

I have been there multiple times for everything from obstetrics to regular physical examinations. My physician, Dr Mody, has an excellent bedside manner and always gives sound medical advice and diagnoses. The staff is very friendly, professional and they are all good at their jobs. I love that my doctor works there so I can keep going. Highly recommend.

Outstanding service yesterday at Sound care for my 1st ultrasound. Wait time after signing in was about 20 mins which is ok with me. Front staff was friendly and helpful. The Ultrasound Tech was so awesome. She answered all my questions and concerns, can tell she was knowledgeable. At first I was a little disappointed that I wouldn't get a photo of the baby printed, however I was allowed to take photos and videos which were easier to share with family.

Went for my first trimester ultrasound and not allowed to take videos, which is unfortunate given the situation with Covid and how you can't have your partner there to hear or watch anything. I've read another review where the technician allowed this for someone else. This is my first baby as well so I'm a little disappointed with that experience. They also don't have printers, but i'm glad I could take pictures on my phone. I would like to note that for my dating ultrasound at another location thay my husband was allowed to join me. Strange that this location would not allow it at least for pregnancies. I will be looking for another location where hopefully the experience will be a little more lenient.

Don't even think to give them second chance if you had a bad experience with them, I had today the worst experience with the ultrasound the appointment was with Osama Nasser who was very rude and tough with me so I refused to do the ultrasound and left the place, even the zero star is too much for the imaging centre. On the reception George is very professional and beyond awesome when he talk to you in person or even over the phone.

Had 3 ultrasounds at this clinic. The first two were just okay. Not allowed to bring a support person because of Covid (understandable), but the tech didn’t let me take any videos to show my spouse and child. Today I went for my 18-20 week anatomy scan and was assigned Kathleen as a technician. She was beyond fantastic! She gave me detailed information about everything she was seeing/measuring, let me take photos/videos, answered any questions I had and was lovely to talk to! Huge bonus, she’s bilingual and was able to speak with me in my first language (French)! I would recommend Kathleen to anyone!

This doctor provided me with the worst medical care I have ever received. I started off by making the difficult decision to have an abortion, and because I don't have a family doctor the only office that was available to help me during this process was Sound Care Medical and Imaging Centre with Dr. Arnold Newton. I started off with my first appointment where he was 40 minutes late and all I could hear was him gossiping and chatting away in the next room. I almost got up and left when he came in the room and handed me a brochure and said he was feeling "pretty tired and didn't feel like talking". As this was a really hard decision for me, that is not at ALL how I wanted to be treated. I continued to try and ask him questions and he would interrupt me every time and be extremely rude. I told him I wanted an IUD but after that experience with him I 100% did not want to be in a room with him let alone have him touching me. I called the office and explained to the receptionist (who was very sweet and helpful) that I wanted a female doctor. She said she would talk to Dr. Newton and ask him If he could refer me to a female doctor as I don't have a family doctor. After about an hour she called me back and said he had said word for word "no worries at all and to tell him that face to face on our next appointment". I show up for my next appointment and he said he will not refer me to a female doctor after I expressed I didn't want him to perform the IUD. He said I will have to go to a clinic and it could take a year. What a joke. This doctor is extremely unprofessional and rude. I've never felt so much anger towards a doctor. I highly recommend if you want to be treated with respect and not completely degraded to your face then you should find a different doctor. Research this doctor and you will see over 50+ terrible 1 star reviews. He will also be reported on-top of this.

The front desk staff was exceptional however the technician missed I was waiting & skipped over me twice in one appt. Also, don’t get duplex colour Doppler ultrasounds here I was clearly advised by the Ottawa Vein and Cosmetic Clinic they were lacking by comparison to the Merivale Imaging Center.

Saw Dr Newton a few weeks back. Very knowledgeable, informative, and patient. He answered all my questions and covered all my concerns regarding my birth control. He was very kind and walked me through everything start to finish. A wonderful experience, didn't wait longer than 15 minutes in the lobby. The staff was very friendly and so kind and patient.

If you want to spend your whole day in the waiting room then this is the place for you. But if you’re like everyone else and was hoping for proper time management, never go here. I have been here all day and after having my first appointment I have now been waiting over two hours for an appointment that should of been at 3. This place closes at 4pm and we are still here way past 4. Unbelievably unorganized. Secretary is amazing but besides that this place is horrible don’t bother going and don’t believe everything you see in the good reviews.

Dr. Kevin Baker, my Gynecologist walks on water! After living for 3 years with 'perimenopausal hell' and going from specialist to specialist, I was referred to Dr. Baker. He solved my issues on my first visit! I have met a few other people who have seen Dr. Baker and we all love him! I can't say enough good things about him! If you need a gynecologist, he is the best there is and he is great to deal with as well!

After not having a family doctor for many years, I found the care and professionalism surpassed my expectations. When I need my doctor he is there. The office is clean and well managed and the front desk staff are very efficient. Thank you for keeping me out of the Emergency Department!

I have been to other other imaging places and this one is by far the best I’ve been to. They have amazing client care, courtesy and Kathleen the technician was amazing.

Only downside is you can’t get digital or printed images of your babies ultrasound, however they do allow you to take pictures/videos.
It’s definitely my go to place from now on.

This is the best family practice in town. Dr Mody is prompt, and I never feel rushed. I can book appointments online, but even if I have to call in, someone friendly always answers!

I called here for pelvis ultrasound appointment on a specific day as was instructed by my doctor. The staff argued and insisted to me saying that it is another type of test even when I already read the request letter to her twice. On the day of the appointment, they said they can't have me tested because my ultrasound request is different from the one that I booked with them. This is a total waste of time. I have to book off my work for today because of this, and I have to do it again because of their mistake.

Our family doctor had to move from a different site to this one. Apart from the amazing family doctor we have, i would really appreciate the awesome staff they have, who are very kind and gentle. I never had to wait for long for my appointment, i.e. They stick to the time they give in the appointments. And i saw a notice on the reception saying to inform the staff if they waited for more than 15 mins, im guessing that is there out of ordinary wait time. In short 5 on 5.

We love our family Doctor Dr. Salman so caring and passionate about his work and patient it truly shows. Staff are amazing, yes at times they are overwhelmed they have to take care of urgent matters before they can pick up the call or assist you when you are checking in. We love this clinic and our doctor.

It took two days of constant phoning, first thing in the morning, and I still couldn't get through to a person. It was always "please hold" and then I kept getting hung up on. I called many times each day. My husband, fed up, called and dialed for the doctor's office instead of imaging and asked THEIR receptionist to please pick up the phone. FINALLY we got through. My appt was for 8am and I showed up early, which didn't matter because they open at 8am, and the receptionist decided to help another person who was a walk-in and literally pushed their way ahead of me. Luckily another receptionist, a younger woman with dark hair, was very helpful and kind. The ultrasound tech was a little brusque but inoffensive and allowed us to take a picture of the ultrasound. The other receptionist, whose voice I recognized from the constant "hold please" on the phone, repeatedly put people on hold and hung up on them while staring at her computer screen. She took my paperwork and stated that none of the prenatal tests needed to be done until the day of my next ultrasound, we settled on an appt and.she wrote the wrong date on the reminder card. I saw my OBGYN a week later and they were confused because several of the tests should have been done already, and even after 9 DAYS they hadn't recieved the ultrasounds. I know medical offices are stressful but I feel like medical administrators need to be more empathetic to the patients. Our tax dollars pay your salary too.

I want to start this with booking my appointment. I called and made an appointment for a pelvis ultrasound. Mind you, I have never gotten one done before so everything is very new to me. They told me that I needed to drink a litre of water an hour before my appointment which was no problem. Come the day of my appointment, I get there and walk up to the receptionists desk, they were very nice and asked me to take a seat and wait. I had to use the bathroom so I went and when I got out the nurse was ready for me. She asked me if I emptied my bladder.me very confused replies “yes” and she rudely replies saying “you’re suppose to have a full bladder did nobody tell you that? ’ And I told her that this was my first time ever getting anything done like this and that they only told me that I needed to drink a litre of water. Anyways, we’re in the ultrasound room now and I lay on the table and get the ultrasound done. Once finished I needed a second test that required me to wear a gown and she threw it at me and slammed the door. The test was finished and I left just as confused if not more confused than I was walking in. I truly had never felt so uncomfortable and will not be coming back.
