Unfortunately I didn’t know about this place until it was to late but I was super impressed with how emotional and compassionate the vet and assistant were when I called looking for someone willing to help with the passing of my dog junior this morning

Dr. Nazir and his staff are amazing! They truly care about your animal and know what they are doing! They are not here to take your money and do unnecessary procedures. I had been going to a previous hospital and hated their care. My neighbour told me to try out SBAH and it was the BEST decision. I will be taking my dog back and recommending them to everyone! Thank you!

I LOVE this vet. The office is clean and the staff is sooo sweet with my pup which is the most important thing for me. My dog hates the vet and they do their best to keep her calm and loved. They take care and pay attention and best of all they always make time to take care of her when we’re in a pinch. Hope I can stay with them forever.

This clinic came highly recommended by a friend and they did not disappoint. Dr. Iqbal and his team are amazing and so caring. They even called me the day after they saw my dog to see how he was doing. I’ve searched for years to find a veterinarian that I trust and now I’ve finally found one!

I have brought my two dogs here for about 2 years now and I have had such a great experience dealing with this animal clinic. One of my dogs started having seizures in the last year and the vets and team at this location have always given my dog the best care and treatment they possibly can and work within my budget. The team at this vet always get back to my e-mails and phone calls within a timely matter and make sure to get my dogs in ASAP if either of them have any medical concerns. They are not only the most affordable vet I have ever been too, they are also compassionate, friendly, and they truly make you and your pets feel comfortable and heard. I have and will continue to recommend the South Barrie Animal Hospital to any pet owner I know within the area.

Do not take your pet here. They tried to rip us off with a list of tests not needed for a potential small irritation in my puppy. The vet was aggressive with my puppy and extremely unprofessional. I can’t stress this enough - do not bring your pet here.

Dr. Iqbal was very kind and patient with my very nervous dog and kitten. He took his time with them to make sure they felt safe and comfortable. The rates for services are very fair!

Dr Nasir and Dr Iqbal are such lovely veterinarians. I took my senior dog there knowing she needed dental work and that it would cost a small fortune based on other quotes I got. They gave me a really very fair price and said that even if they needed to do more work than what could be seen the price would be the same or maybe just a little more. They also really took the time to explain her blood results and listen to her history and my concerns regarding other health issues. I like them both a lot and would definitely recommended their practice!

We have 6 dogs we bring to south barrie animal hospital and are always happy with the care provided to them. The staff and Doctors are the best and they are the BEST with follow up calls to check on your animals. We highly recommend them. Jim Berg, Ra, Cassie, Zoe, Rita, Jax and now Mia.

Amazing service and prices. They really care about the animals and are very gentle. Went twice and had to wait a bit despite having an appointment at a certain time but that's OK it wasn't too long. They even called to check up on our pet the day after. Definitely recommend. Will be taking all my pets there now:) thank you Dr. Iqbal and Julia for great service.

Hello my mother visits this place and the veterinarian was rude and wouldn't even look at her while speaking and was rushed out the door.

My wife found this vet by accident because they were open when our vet wasn’t. The staff and doctor made her and our pets feel right at home and they were not only looking out for our animals best interest at all times but we’re also very honest about the cost and pricing and we’re quite reasonable and fairly priced to begin with, but they also went the extra mile to save us money, and even provided us a discount on certain services and products. Needless to say, We switched all of our pets and had her family and their pets switch over as well. Which says a lot considering she has been with her old vet for atleast 15-20 years… plus It’s always good that they get us in so quick as well. No waiting weeks for an immediate visit.

Doctor Nazir is a very nice person and he knows his job, he took his time and visited my two German shepherds,
Also the staffs are super friendly and the cost was fair.

My experience was amazing here, they are very affordable and willing to give deals. This has allowed me to be able to afford my animals healthcare while I’m a full time law student. My Australian Sheppard Rosy and I went to South Barrie Animal Hospital just recently for a meet and greet and vaccine boosters.
We have just moved to Barrie.
This clinic is 3 minutes from my house and I was able to get an appointment within a couple of days.
The clinic staff are friendly and the clinic is clean.
I found Dr. Iqbal to be very knowledgeable. He listened to my requests regarding immunization and care of my dog. He was receptive, happy to comply and took time to answer my questions in detail.

I’ve never received as wonderful service with any other veterinarian clinic I’ve been to before. They’re very reliable and so caring. The best pet doctor I’ve ever seen

All of the staff are always so lovely to deal with and most importantly, our Daisy is happy going there. Thanks for always giving her top notch care!

South Barrie Animal Hospital is a great clinic. They took care of my puppy since she was 8 weeks old till now (almost two years). They remind me when her shots are due. Dr. Iqbal is very knowledgeable with lots of experience, and all the staff members are professional and friendly. I highly recommend this animal hospital, they will take care of you.

This clinic thought it was okay to give a four pound, five month old puppy FIVE FULL VACCINE DOSES all at once. The dog was sick for days - unbelievable and scary lack of professionalism and basic knowledge. My own experience with this place was dismal. How are they still around? BEWARE. I have been to your clinic twice and will NEVER go again due to bad experiences. The latest I mentioned was a friend’s puppy - he didn’t know better than to follow your terrible advice about vaccine protocols. I have no intention of calling you. I simply want to warn people against taking their pets to you based on my first hand knowledge. At least my friend will not be returning.

This vet has been the best to me so far in my experience with pets. Not only are they friendly with my animals and I, but they are also extremely affordable, as I work student wage and don't have lots of money. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a vet!

The folks at South Barrie Animal Hospital have always taken good care of our pup! We’ve been seeing Dr. Iqbal for just under 4 years (since February 2018). He always gives great detail to any care that has been needed, recommendations, options and takes the time to answer our questions. Never forced anything on us and has been respectful to us. Anytime we’ve been in, we always get a follow up call to see how things are going. When ordering food it is quick and they always do their best to accommodate times for appointments for us. All the staff have been very loving to our boy! Thank you to Dr. Iqbal and his team!

I took my kitten here to be neutered and he was well taken care of! Great price too. Will keep coming back and highly recommend! The vet and staff are super friendly!

They are a great vet to visit. Very good prices. I'm very happy. I've had two feral kittens spayed and neutered, as well as my own kitten and puppy. They are always there and have been affordable. I travel 2 hours to reach them currently. Very happy. My cats and dogs are healthy and happy.

They truly care! You and your furry friend are never treated like a number or that they never care. Cause they do. Extra touches, they take the time. Bonus, they have great prices.

I highly recommend this clinic.
We brought back our puppy from foreign country The 9pack vaccination done twice foreign country. She needed final vaccination. The 9pack vaccination was made by foreign company, so the doctor had to find out the details. We called some vet close from I live, they refused. So I called South Barrie animal clinic. The reception lady was very calm and nice, she told us the doctor can find out.
Doctor took time to read the paper work, listen we talk and found out which vaccination and treatment she needs or doesn't need. Doctor told us about cost of all vaccinations and consideration together. He has knowledge, explain the details, calm and honest. Nobody push, defending and clinic is clean. We are very happy to found them.

I just got my 8 year old dog Nala near the end of February and since then the vet has been extremely helpfully with getting Nala up to date on all of her vaccines and getting her spayed. The staff are very quick at responding and very accommodating. Nala is always a little timid when going in but always comes out happy. I was quite nervous when getting her spayed last week because of her age but the vet did a great job at explaining everything and Nala has been doing great. Pricing is very reasonable as well, I called around to many vets to get pricing for vaccines and spaying and South Barrie Animal Hospital had the best pricing. Definitely will be recommending to my friends in the area!

I was just rating the web page, as far as the treatment is concerned they were a ĺittle sloppy.they did give complamenty cleaning of ears and there fees are cheap.

Thank you to all the veterinarians and staff! Best vet clinic in Barrie and even Simcoe county, and we’ve been to many! Everyone was so kind, caring, and understanding despite Luna being so hyper and anxious. The veterinarian discussed everything in so much detail when we were there and answered all our questions. He printed off papers with all the options we had and we could say no to anything depending on our budget. They made everything so comfortable for us, we could tell that he just wanted what was best for Luna and what was easy for us to afford. We will let all our family and friends know about your clinic and it’s amazingly reasonable prices, thank you again everyone!

Fantastic hospital The veterinarians, staff and even the clinic cat Mimi are super nice haha! Love coming here for everything our pets need like food, medications, as well as check-ups and vaccines of course. My friends bring their pets here from my recommendation too and they also love it here:)

Dr. Nazir was very nice, but clearly does not keep the clinic as clean as he should because right after our visit, our cat came down with ringworm. He had rubbed his hands all over our cat at his office (as expected) but clearly did not wash his hands or change gloves from a previous patient. Now our other elderly cat has ringworm too, as the one transmitted it to the other. Dr. Nazir refused to take responsibility or assist us with this. Very unprofessional in that regard. We will not be back and neither should you.

Brought my pup Zeus there they did a really good job and there prices are very affordable thank you.

My dog is a rescue and gets very scared in clinical situations. The entire staff is so kind and patient with him! The doctor is wonderful- very caring and concerned for our dog’s well being. I have recommended this clinic to everyone I know who has a pet! I’m very grateful we have found them!

One of the finest vets I have met over the past 20 years. Wonderful staff and ZERO hidden fees. Would strongly recommend as doctor is very knowledgeable.
