South Huron Hospital

I’ve always had horrible experiences here. But today was especially terrible.
The male nurse wouldn’t let more than one person in emerge to see my friend who is currently extremely unwell, which I find really odd considering I was in the exact same emergency department not even a month ago and had multiple people at once visiting me. To make matters worse he was very rude and treated me as if I was scum which I did not appreciate. They also enforced wearing masks however half of the staff around weren’t even wearing one. If you are going to have policies at least make sure they’re consistent. I wouldn’t come here if I was dying.

Dr William Kenneth Milne was ignorant and condescending. Unless you are dying on the stretcher this ignorant practitioner couldn’t care less. This is where our tax dollars are going funding lazy doctors who dont care about your well being. Not everyone has a family doctor. A patient is a patient, you took an oath so do your job.

Was taken by ambulance to South Huron after what we believed was a cardiac episode. After running some tests, it was found to not be a heart attack, however, they did no further testing or questioning to find out what was the cause of so much pain, trouble breathing, vomiting, collapsing. Went to LHSC emerg a week later and was immediately told my gallbladder was severely inflamed and needed emergency surgery. Would never ever return to this hospital after the lack of treatment and lack of resources.

Hi My name is Iside Dallan I was taken to your hospital by ambulance from the Pinery Provincial Park. I had an accident and fell off my scooter and landed on my face. My teeth went through my lip. I was treated very well at your ER. I want to give a big shout out to the nurses and especially Dr. Alison Henderson who stitched my lip. She and the nurse were amazing and you can barely see the injury. I want to thank Dr. Henderson for looking after me so well. We need to recognize the work that doctors and nurses do.

Worst hospital ever. As a breast feeding mom of a 7 day old. I come in the sever pain and get given a medication that I can't breast feed my newborn. Before it was given I asked if I could breat feed and they said it was okay. Never ever coming back again.

Wife went in for adominal pain. She asked if she was able to breast feed our 8 day old child with the medication she was being given. They lied to her and said yes to only find out later that we can't. When we asked what we were supposed to do, we were told to bottle feed which we are having difficulty doing. She told them to take the iv out so we can leave.will be reporting the doctor.

Worst hospital I've ever been too they lie daughter needed antibiotics they refused them I knew she had strip throat or monk her fricken toumge was white systems u do tnneed to be a doctor to figure that out waited 4 hrs for absolutely nothing did a swap test just for them to phone us 3 days after to say my daughter had strip throat thank god she's a strong and was a trooper didn't wreak the lo g weekend except for Monday for 4 hrs u get a 0 for the silly doctors u have up there bull

So my grandfather is literally dying and the nurse at the check in was so rude and condescending. I have so much respect for nurses and doctors especially with everything going on in the world. But if you can’t handle speaking to families with any sort of empathy or kindness, maybe don’t work in this environment. Honestly I am disgusted with the way she spoke to my mother.

I have lived in Exeter my entire life and yet I’ve only gone to this hospital a handful of times because it’s the worst and the last place I’d go in an emergency. I’d probably die in the waiting room before being seen by a doctor, and the poor nurses are running around like crazy to keep up with how horrible it is there. Worst hospital ever I’d drive 30 minutes anywhere else than go to this place.

I was there with extrem nausea, extreme weakness and terrible chills after throwi up bile all they. They kept me in the waiting room for 2 hours even though I was supposed to be next they just kept saying im next and just a few more minutes but it neve came. They woer more conce that i was laying on the floor even tho I did it because of extrem weakness. Fina left because I couldn't feel that they didn't care at all. No wonder this hospital has a horrible reputation with locals.
