South Indian Dosa Mahal (Bloor/Lansdowne)

On Dec 1 st this month i had a feel for south indian food and had passed this store on several occasion.i was greeted by a nice lady and i ordered Dosa which is one of their especiality.waited few minutes and saw some ready samosas had all to go. When i got home i tried the food and most important the coconut chutney was missing i tried the the liquid sambar and potatoes they were full of salt and i have tried this food before but not this bad quality, even samosa were not eatable. My suggestion is think twice if you are non southern indian to try her food.

The food was absolutely delicious and run by the nicest people! We ordered the ghee and cheese dosa platters and I loved every curry on the plate. The dosa was so crispy and buttery and they even gave us complimentary samosas and curry puffs to take home! Will definitely be back to try their other dishes:)

I’ve been coming here for close to 20 years and it is always super tasty, cozy and can cater to most diets. I’ve always loved to bring a few bags of their great affordable samosas with me to friends houses. A west end staple!

Food looks great! Giving it a 5 stars to support restaurant - large group has to pay service charges.

Taste bland, nothing special about their dosa, I can get better food elsewhere. Also their tea is horrible. Not recommended.

In love with this place. I visited this place during medium rush hours but the attendant was very kind and helpful. The dosas and idli were authentic and tasted good. The chutneys and curry along with them were exceptional. The coconut chutney was too good and reminded me of Indian flavors

Love this place for the food as well as the great customer service. Last week I had done a take out for some snacks and by mistake a wrong item was packed. Mercy apologized and offered the item I wanted on the house for my next visit. Much appreciated.

Incredible food, well seasoned and spiced. Very traditional approach with chutneys to die for.
Perhaps the best chai in the west end of the city.
The staff is sweet and kind, true treasures.
Happy to see this restaurant rehomed after the fire. The new location is serviceable, but smaller and a bit more rough around the edges.

MUST TRY FOR AUTHENTIC VEGAN/VEGETARIAN INDIAN FOOD!

I’ve been here a few times now. Every time I’m absolutely in love with the food and the quick service! The staff here are really friendly. The dishes also seem really authentic, they remind me a lot of home, so extra points for that!:)

The decor is may feel a bit dated to some but I feel like it adds to the charm! It’s so hard to find cute little places like this in Toronto.

Besides the amazing food (I seriously have a goal to try everything on the menu one day), the prices are just unbeatable. Definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto!
