Today is the last day of my dog. Thank you Dr. Smith and team for taking care of his health for the last 15 years ️ you are amazing people.

Just like a previous customer shared, they tried to sale me oral care quoted for over 2000$ that my cat didn't need. They told me my cat might need teeth extracted, at least 2 & had build up plaque, but when going to a clinic that actually has oral care on their website, they said it was unnecessary & didn't understand why I was quoted this during a regular visit.

On top, one receptionist with brown long hair has always been rude, but they try to gaslight you when you confront them as you being rude.

They charged me for food that I did not get, but when I went back, they said the price was even higher than what I paid & they seem to take pleasure in this (that same receptionist that was always rude). I said the price was different than before, they said it went up by 10% in January, like I was somehow supposed to know this. So I cancel that item. I orderd online a different product to avoid them, but they called me told me I needed bloodwork done to continue receiving the food. I told them there's no change in my cat. They asked for previous records of other clinic I went to (that told me oral care work was unnecessary) & prove I kept my paperwork up to date, which it was, with yearly visits & shots. Then they said I can no longer get food from them & use the vet I have now even if really far from my house & only went to them because I doubted my cat white teeth & no eating problems has teeth issues.

Being a customer for 13 years, it's unacceptable to be treated so poorly.

The entire staff are absolutely amazing. They are all so helpful and caring with our little fur baby

Great place for taking your pets for urgent care. Been in business since i was a teen. Always can rely on them when you need help.

Everyone at this veterinary hospital is wonderful and patient. They always try their best to fit in last minute appointments when our dog is ill and are gentle when working with him. They are transparent and communicate all options available to us when discussing certain matters like neutering, diagnoses, and possible sicknesses. Overall, they have been a pleasure to work with and appreciate all the staff at South Peel Vet!

Dr Smith and staff are great. No upselling, takes their time with you to answer any questions, and helped us over the phone even after the appointment when we had more questions. Wouldn’t even think about going anywhere else.

I like bringing my pet here, it's convenient, although the wait is a bit unreasonable considering you have your fury family waiting with you. And depends which staff you are dealing with, some are nicer than others.

My dog and I have been coming to this veterinary for all her life and they’ve been so amazing with us every single time. The staff are very kind and accommodating. The doctors are great at assessing her and describing any issues to me in ways that I can understand (we don’t need those huge medical phrases!). Can’t recommend this vet enough. The best in Mississauga!

Am very dissapointed with this place. Their prices have increase by over 50% in the last two years. I get inflation, but their increases are gross to say the least.
In the last two years my pet has been seen by different people, which will be okay if the were as competent and compassionate as Dr. Smith.
I visit them yesterday, my pet has an ear infection, the first thing the vet (Erika Masters) did is spend 10 minutes looking at her teeth, I was confused but assumed maybe it is all related. She proceeds to tell me there is a partially broken tooth that needs to be extracted and is over $2000. I asked if this is what is causing the ear infection but she said no
Is not infected and is not problematic at the moment. When I asked what about her ears? The vet left the room and came back with the estimate for the tooth extraction.it turned out to be $2110.17. She talked about teeth for another 10 minutes and why is better to do it there instead of a dental specialist because is more affordable with them.
Maybe in her world $2110.17 is nothing, but certainly not in mine specially if it is not a necessary procedure.
Finally she looked at my pets ears and the consult with that was very ambiguous, it was like searching the internet instead of talking to a trained specialist. "The ear and skin infection could be this.or it could be that. " This is what I got and of course the bill was 320 dollars. She put her in antibiotics for a month and provide me with some drops I need to put in her ears using a syringe, however the drops come on dropper bottle so extracting the product with a syringe without spilling half of it is almost impossible. I dont know if my pet was accessed properly, I'm not sure the medication is needed or if it even matches the condition since the vet herself didn't know either. We pet owners love and care for out pets and to have someone just take advantage when we search for help is unethical and straight up mean. I will of course be looking for another vet but beware my fellow pet owners.

Our family has had 3 dogs over 41 years cared for by Dr. Smith. He and the rest of the staff have always been attentive and accommodating last minute appointments for urgent care to avoid a visit to the emergency clinic.

Our family has been dealing with South Peel since I was a child and we still deal with them and highly recommend them as they are very caring and thoughtful toward your pet and you. I would not go to any other veterinary clinic.

I've been bringing my pets to this hospital for many years. Dr. Smith and staff are fabulous. They make all my pets feel comfortable. I feel very confident using this service. As long as I'm living in Mississauga. This is the only veterinary hospital I will use.

Dr. Smith is amazing and always cared for all of my pets. He's so kind. The staff are responsible and care about public health for people and their pets. I really appreciate them.

The south peel veterinary hospital should be ashamed of themselves, I do not support a business that only allows double vaccinated people in. This is pure discrimination. I do not recommend this business!

Discrimination at its finest. Avoid at all costs and take your business to somebody that actually cares about you and your pet. This place must have been paid off by Ford nation.

South Peel Veterinary Hospital has been caring for my fur babies for 10 years. One of my fur babies had trust issues. (she was a rescued) When she went for her first visit I couldn’t believe how calm she was. The doctors and the staff are thorough, caring, gentle and wonderful. I always recommend them to anyone looking for a Vet.
I will continue to bring my fur babies here for many years to come!

I can't recommend this place enough. It was recommended to me by two separate friends that had said this is the best vet they've had! The staff is great, especially Dr. Smith.

The entire South Peel team is exceptional. Very professional in their approach and always provide exceptional service. Have used the services of their team for over 11 years and would highly recommend them.

This business discriminates and creates division between people who are vaccinated and those who can’t or choose not to - they refuse to allow people without double vaccination to enter. Shame on you! Someone’s medical choice isn’t your business. Taking my business elsewhere! Encourage others to do so too. Businesses have no right to anyone’s medical history/choices!

I just called the clinic with my concerns regarding them only allowing double vaxxed clients into the clinic. The clinic told me that they are CONTINUING TO ACCEPT CLINETS REGARDLESS OF VACCINE STATUS for "curbside services". They are just allowing people who are double vaxxed into the building. They were so kind to explain it to me instead of the people from the Group I came from who are misinforming me about the clinics services.

DON'T LISTEN TO MISINFORMATION

As someone who chooses not to be Vacinated. I will still be going to this clinic for my cat.

It’s unfortunate that this place requires access to an animals, owners medical information for that owner to be by their pets side to comfort them in a stressful situation. Shameful, discriminatory and unlawful!

Fantastic team of vets and techs. Helpful, compassionate and just all around great. Highly recommend. Ask for Elaine if she’s available but they’re all truly fantastic.

The only place i trust with my two cats is South Peel Veterinary Hospital.
They're always friendly, courteous and Dr. Elaine blends knowledge, experience and compassion whenever I see her.

They're thorough in their explanations and diagnosis, have never pressured me to buy anything unnecessary and I truly feel comfortable when I'm there.

Throughout the pandemic, they maintained their reputable service levels.

I strongly endorse Dr. Elaine and the entire team as I've been going there for over 5 years.

Always responsive. Trustworthy. Always give the full picture with options for my dog, so I can make an informed decision. I fully trust South Peel Vet with my 14 year old dog, and would take future pets for their services.

If you have a sick animal but you are not double vaccinated, these people will not let you in their facility! Am I to be excluded if I don’t have my HPV vaccination as well? This speaks volumes about the people running this place. My business is going somewhere else.

I do not recommend this place, they are not letting people come unless you have been double vax. Discrimination of the Nuremberg Code, and it is illegal to do this. Every place that do this should be loosing there business, this is freedom of choice. This place deserves no stars at all.

Doctor's Allison and Robert Smith are incredible veterinarians and have cared for two of my dogs over the past 20 years and now our new puppy. The staff and techs are intelligent, caring and passionate individuals. Highly recommend taking your pets to South Peel Veterinary Hospital.

Awesome staff. Sam and Jackie were very sweet to my extremely hyper puppy. Dr. Smith was thorough and friendly. I received a report after the check-up that described everything that was examined in detail. I’ve been to 4 other vets in the GTA in the past 20 years and I have never gotten a report after a check up. I was blown away. 5 stars.

I love this clinic very welcoming and informative, with our new member of the family. Our baby Spencer visits were great they explained everything about his kitten visits. Would highly recommend this clinic they are absolutely wonderful. Great doctors and fantastic staff!

They called and said they are cancelling the appointment for a vacine for my dog, and they also said they cannot give a vacine because the other clinic I was going to said my dog had dental work, which is not true. When I called back to clarify, they denied saying that. Then my wife called and asked what the price would be for the vacine, and they would not give it. I will definitely recommend not to go this place, they suck. Plenty other clinics around

Took our cavapoo puppy here for her 12 week vaccines. Very professional from check in to payment. Took time to explain everything and answered all my questions. I had alot of them too.prices are fair compared to all other clinics and inline with what you would expect to pay. Our puppy loved the staff and had her tail wagging the whole time.

The only place that has been able to see my rats. No vet in my area cares for rodents, just dogs and cats (don't get me wrong, I absolutely love dogs and cats! But I think rodents and other animals deserve care in this city as well). They are kind and sweet and do what they can despite there being little knowledge of rat veterinary care in the world, since rats are normally seen as vermin.

Very good experience, no need to go inside the clinic. You wait in the car and they pick up your dog. The consultation is done over the phone.

I had a horrible experience with another vet clinic prior to come to this one. The staff are professional, informative, honest and great with my puppy. I read a few reviews that they were pricey, and I found their exam was cheaper then the first place I went to. They were upfront and honest when I asked for the cost to get my dog spayed. They provided me with the low and high end costs and choices I could make. I did go with the high end (laser surgery over scalpel) and my dog has been healing so well through the process. The first clinic I went to with my dog it felt like a money grab and not a general concern or care for my pet. My puppy loves the vet techs and happily runs into the clinic. I believe you get what you pay for and so far if the cost is a little high but my puppy is happy I'm not going to mess around to save a few bucks.
