Excellent Sunday service. No up charge. Vet was knowledgeable gave me options and trial of 3 courses of treatment. Number 1 worked. Super pleased with this veterinarian and technician

AMAZING service! I needed to get my cat in on very short notice for an issue she was having, and upon calling the clinic they gave me a same day appointment. Dr. Peters and Alyssa were so kind and empathetic. They asked so many questions and gave my cat a very thorough exam. I was able to ask them all of my questions as well and felt very heard. They were also very gentle and patient with my cat. The clinic itself is extremely modern, clean and bright- making for a very inviting atmosphere. I cannot recommend this clinic enough! Excellent 5 out of 5 star service and friendly staff:)

We just had our first visit to Southeast Oakville Veterinary Hospital. Previously, our extremely fearful 5-year-old dog has not tolerated any veterinary team. But, what a lovely surprise! In this calming and reassuring environment our dog remained relaxed enough for Dr Iz and Shaniqua to give him treats and a basic physical exam - for the very first time. He was then sedated for bloodwork and annual shots. I'm not sure that he will ever tolerate needles without sedation, but it is very reassuring to know that this team will work with us to keep our dog as healthy as possible, with the least amount of trauma for him (and us). Dr Iz and the team have also encouraged us to continue making "happy visits" to build our dog's confidence.
We would have no hesitation recommending the Southeast Oakville Veterinary Hospital to any pet owner.

I took my dog to see Dr. Peters today for the first time and he was absolutely amazing! I have a three year old Chihuahua who is not good with strangers, so I was very anxious about the appointment. But that quickly faded after meeting Dr. Peters and seeing how great he was with my dog. He was very calm and took things slow with him, which is exactly what my dog needs. My little Paco was having some issues with his anal glands, so he was quite painful. Dr. Peters explained to me the steps we needed to take today and possibly in the future if the problem persists. He was very thorough and I just can't say enough good things about how great he was with my dog! (Paco loved the treats)
Also, the support staff there are wonderful! I was greeted with a warm welcome and they also had amazing animal handling skills! My dog is not easy to handle but Cheryl did an incredible job! The patience and care that everyone showed my dog was so comforting.
They even sent today's invoice to my dogs insurance company. Wow, just amazing service. Thanks Alyssa!

We saw Dr. Iz Jakubowski with our new puppy. I have never received such great kindness and care from a veterinarian on the very first visit. We are so happy we found this clinic!

I was so grateful to Dr. Peters and Shaniqua for their kind and caring reception of my Beagle and I when we came by on a recent Sunday. It was such a relief to find a place open on Sunday so close to home. I was very impressed by so many aspects of this clinic. Their online system is convenient, their facility is exceptionally well kept, bright, clean, and modern. The client portal is impressive and very nice to have.
The staff were very welcoming, friendly, caring, and gentle. They offered a tour of their new facility, but I was pressed for time that morning. Dr. Peters and Shaniqua were with me for nearly an hour just to review a cyst on my dogs leg. I was impressed with Dr. Peters thorough review of my dog, not just looking at the one spot I pointed to, but doing a comprehensive review. He noted a heart murmur that I didn’t know dog had. Shaniqua was friendly, helpful and has a way of calming down my pup who was anxious about being examined. They discussed options, possible outcomes and took some samples for testing. I was impressed with the email copy of the receipt and follow up. I received a detailed email from Dr. Peter’s going over the results. I requested email because I was going to be out of town and not able to access my phone. Fortunately my pup’s results were normal. The follow up was detailed and reviewed different future options for his care. The Doctor and staff are so reassuring to go to. I highly recommend the The Southeast Oakville Veterinary Hospital. Such a great find!

Dr. Peters is the best! He made Leo feel at ease and gave him the best care possible. We are so grateful to have found such a wonderful vet who genuinely cares about our furry friend. I already know that Leo will love coming here because of the fun, treats, and happiness he gets from the staff. We highly recommend this vet to anyone looking for excellent care for their pets.

Phenomenal care! Not my usual vet but I called the office shortly before close with a pet emergency for my dog mango and Maureen at the front desk was so helpful and told us to come by right away. Dr. Yan and her assistant Samantha were so quick to figure out what was wrong and deliver excellent care. By far the best experience I’ve had at a vet in a long time. Not to mention the state of the art facilities. The whole experience was amazing despite the stressful circumstances. Thank you so much SOVH.

SOVH is the most impressive veterinary hospital I have ever visited in Toronto so far.

My cat Thomas was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Before knowing that, we brought him here to go through a thorough check and consultation with Dr. Jakubowski and a lovely, cheerful assistant.

Really appreciate SOVH team for giving us professional advice, referral assistance, detailed follow ups and now my cat Thomas is fully recovered!

I think SOVH has really high rated performances in every aspect: vet’s professionalism, prompt responses for every enquiry, patient and caring customer services, reasonable prices, cosy and clean environments, etc.

They really surprised me for their services since I was at first concerned about there are limited reviews I can reference to because it is a newly opened hospital.

We had an amazing first visit at Southeast Oakville Vet with our new puppy Fred. We were so impressed with the warm welcome from all of the staff, along with the cleanliness and overall positive environment they have created. The calm atmosphere allowed Fred to be very relaxed throughout his visit. As new dog owners we came with plenty of questions and Dr. Peters along with Shaniqua were incredibly helpful and gave us some great tips. We are so happy to have Dr. Peters as our vet and your pet is in great hands with all of the staff at Southeast Oakville Vet.

Extremely impressed! I have a very nervous rescue dog that was due for a physical and vaccines. I interacted with several staff throughout the visit and all were very kind and patient and did everything possible to make it as stress-free as it could be. Dr. Peters spent time to build trust with my dog and then performed a very thorough exam. He answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable. Feeling very good about my decision to switch to this vet clinic. Highly recommend!

We have recently followed Dr. Jakubowski to her new home in Oakville. That is perhaps the very best testament to her care. We live in Toronto and have at least 6 or more vet clinics all within 10 minutes of our home but we would not even consider going anywhere else. The care received by Dr. Jakubowksi (fondly known as Dr. Iz) is well worth our commute from Toronto. I could not imagine our lives or our senior dogs lives without her care, experience, expertise and guidance. And most of all care and kindness. We have had the true privilege of not just being in Dr. Iz’s care but also many of SEO’s staff as well. I wish I could mention all of them by name. We have known Dr. Iz and some of the SEO staff for about 17 years. Including the best ever management team, Rita Peters and Helen Duncan. I say “ we “ have been in the care of Dr. Iz and many of the SEO staff because in our opinion it’s not just the dog village that needs to be cared for but the human village as well. This team welcomed our new black Lab puppy in a previous location in 2006. We have known Maureen Haunts, AHT, even longer than Dr. Iz. You will not find a more caring and supportive person than Maureen Haunts who specializes in geriatric/palliative care and end of life counseling when those though decisions sadly need to be made. We are now the proud owners of our senior girls, both Labs. One is 11 years old and other one is 14 years young. The attention to care you will receive at SEO is unparalleled whether you have a youngster or a senior pet. From the minute you walk into the facility you will be welcomed with the warmest hello ever and be sent to an amazing examination room. The examination rooms are huge and more than enough room for both our girls and us. So 4 of us, plus the vet and the vet tech as needed…. There is still comfortable room for 6. The whole facility is immaculately clean, bright and spacious. They even have a dog friendly weigh scale! The facility is wheel chair accessible, including the bathroom. It is truly state of the art. It’s as new and innovative as the staff who had a dream and have now put that dream into practice. Phone calls, texts and e mails are all responded too so quickly. If they see a missed call from you, they will call you just to make sure all is well. All test results are reported back to you promptly. This team does not miss anything and their attention to detail re the examination and care of your pet is amazing. Plus lots of free parking. Please drop by and say hello to this group of professionals. You won’t be disappointed. In fact, you might discover what you may been missing in the current care of your pet. Auggie had his neuter and laparoscopic gastropexy done by Dr. Yan. From the first appointment to all of his post surgical follow ups the care and transparency was second to none. The whole team at Southeast Oakville treated Auggie as if he was the most important boy in the world. The technicians and doctors went out of their way to ensure any and all of my questions pre and post op were answered. I would highly recommend this clinic. The ability to get his gastropexy done laparoscopically by such a great team made the hour long drive well worth it! As a bonus it is a beautiful facility and very welcoming.
