Spago is our favorite Italian restaurant in Windsor! Make sure you save room for dessert! Their tiramisu is the world's best!

Service was excellent (Chris was our server) Food was delicious. The carbonara had a bit too much nutmeg but noodles were cooked to perfection. Definitely would go back

Very nice food. We ordered the lasagne, mushroom ravioli, spago pizza, eggplant parmigiana, tiramisu and the berry cheesecake. I must say everything was super delicious but the mushroom ravioli was to die for! A must visit restaurant and the server was really welcoming and warm.

Service was top notch! Attentive staff without hovering. The food, of course, consistently tasty in generous portions. Thankfully we were able to change our patio reservation to a table inside as the heat / humidity was unbearable outside today.

Easily the best of the three locations, the fettuccine alfredo with chicken is delicious every time!

Great and amazing food. Big portions. Long wait times though. Parking spots are also a pain to find. Customer service is #1 in the city. Would go back.

My friend and I went to spago this afternoon to celebrate my birthday. The service was awesome the food was out of this world and the atmosphere was terrific. Today was the first day of the proof of vaccine mandate and it was handed brilliantly! I can't say enough positive things about this place! Please go and see yourself!

Our favourite Windsor go-to! Great staff, fine Italian inspired menu. Bread and salad included with dinner, but disappointed they changed the bruschetta to their version of garlic bread, which we don’t enjoy as much. Favourite dishes include their rice balls, fettuccine Alfredo, and a breaded chicken in blush sauce called Pollo Speciale. Strongly recommend you call ahead to make reservations; this place is always bopping!

Great atmosphere! Very clean and all safety protocols followed. The food was amazing! We ordered chicken parm, veal parm and antipasta, was delicious. Very kind & courteous wait staff. We had made reservations and was at our table at our reservation time. Busy place but well organized and fast service.

Great Italian food! Wonderful light pasta with rich sauces and amazing choices. Highly recommended and definitely going back to try other dishes.

I went to Spago restaurant for my best friend's wedding.

The food was delicious and the staff was amazing+very accomadating; the best customer service I had ever received.

Great place to eat. Food was excellent. Service was a wee bit slow, but it was really busy, so not complaining. Our server was very well mannered and polite.

My partner and I visited a few weeks ago. We were told they make vegan food. But unfortunately they brought me pasta with meat sauce even tho my waitress put a note that we were vegan. They also gave us mayo with our fries that contained eggs instead of giving us ketchup. Really disappointing. The waitress was very nice tho and was super accommodating. I also really enjoyed their drinks and everything was made on time. I just wish they were better with the dietary orders. I'd definitely come back here.

The food was fabulous, but there was no air conditioning in the restaurant on a scorcher of a day.

Fantastic food and service! You NEED to visit if you're in Windsor, especially if you enjoy Italian dishes.

The food was okay, but we didn't have a good experience. We had a reservation for two (booked online), but the hostess told us we didn't - we had to show the e-mail confirmation to convince her since she was using a pen and paper system to keep track. We asked if we could be seated outside (we didn't mind waiting), but we were told those tables are being saved for other reservations. We were seated inside close to the kitchen, but it was super hot, humid and uncomfortable. The two-person seating outside became available shortly after we were seated inside, and it remained unused throughout the course of our meal, and until we left (1 hour from closing). I have to give credit to the waiter for turning one of the fans in our direction when we asked for it.

From the ambience it definitely feels like an Italian place, people chit chatting. I went here with my husband to celebrate his birthday. We ordered customised pasta. They served us a three course meal- bread, salad and then pasta. Really liked the food here!

I am choosing not to leave your team a negative review because I understand the challenging nature of the incident that occurred, but it is concerning nonetheless so I hope you will read this and take it to heart. The incident occurred last year. I have never thought to write a review until now as increasing rumours indicate an imminent end to the lockdown restrictions and more spago-patio nights for us. The day of, I, along with a few friends (most of us were Black) were sitting on a patio table outside. There was a group of predominantly young male middle-eastern and white men sitting close to us.

The group at one point repeatedly used the N-word rather loudly to greet a group of their friends in a passing vehicle (who replied in kind). The use was not targeted towards us (in fact I am uncertain if the group noticed us seated closely), but I found the behaviour unbecoming of the culture of respect and dignity we have often enjoyed at your restaurant.

In any case, from our vantage point, it appeared that serving staff may (again, uncertain) have heard what was said, yet no mention of it was made. In the future, while understanding that it was not your staff who participated in the behaviour as well as the possibility that they may not have heard it, it may be valuable for your team to discuss response strategies to patrons whose conduct does not align with the values of your restaurant. This being said, the food was great as usual, and it will keep me coming back in the future. Thank you for reading.

We've never been for lunch and just like dinner it was spectacular. Thanks for the great hospitality and exceptional food.

Let me begin by saying that it's 2 stars as I have heard they are very good. However, I could not even get to experience the "good" - I called 2 days in advance to make a reservation for Saturday evening (a special day was coming up that day) and was informed by a very uninterested staff member, after having taken my details, that I will be getting a call-back by the manager, at the latest, by the next day. However, it's been 6 days since that call! I write this in utter disappointment and also disbelief that I have not been extended even an answer or refusal, let alone a reservation! Don't know if I would even like to try again and this makes me sad as well, since I had heard good things about their food. All because of the incompetence.
An update: - The management contacted me and beautifully handled the issue, which was resolved in a positive manner. Would love to check out the food, as soon as everything is safe again

A pleasure to deal with this evening (01/21/2021), even though I couldn't dine in at this time, due to COVID-19 restrictions. Let's see, where do I begin.

A big shout-out to wait staff Chris and Eddy, for being patient as I went through my usual dietary restrictions when discussing and placing my order over the phone. You guys are great.

The Salmon Di Casa was great as usual. Chef Mina has trained her protégé well, and he did an excellent job of making my meal superbly despite having to leave certain ingredients out. Bravo!

When you want Italian dining or take-out, you can't beat Spago. Highly recommended!

My absolute favourite restaurant! Always my go to pick for special occasions, the food is absolutely phenomenal. The service is always outstanding as well. Richie is by far our favourite server, but they all provide very friendly service. Coming from an Italian family it is hard to please, but Spago's never fails to provide an overall amazing experience.

The staff was great! Exactly the right amount of friendly service and thoughtfulness.

The special veal with artichokes was a disappointment. Rather blah. The veal was tough (overcooked?). There were many opportunities to add flavor that weren't taken advantage of.including salt. On the plus side the artichoke and veal serving was generous.

Strawberry cheesecake was good. Wish the berries had been fresh but it is November.

Coffee was good.

Loved the roasted garlic with the bread. Wished for some dipping olive oil.

Pleasant evening even if the special wasn't memorable except for its unspecialness.

Spago is a safe bet for typical Italian dishes. It has been around for years and it probably won't be going anywhere anytime soon. I enjoy their Pollo Marsala with a nice penne blush. Their house salad that comes with the entree is a generous size and the dressing is on-point. The last time I went there they gave a complimentary bruschetta for the table- nice touch. Not sure if that's still the case, but it's consistent and sometimes that's the most important aspect in running a successful restaurant.

Ordered a Nutella Cheese Cake. As per the picture you can differentiate the fungus and the white nut powder. Asked the staff about the fungus, they refused to accept by saying it’s cream cheese which didn’t get mixed. Did not even have the courtesy to exchange it or remove it from the bill. This is not my first visit but would be the last visit. Highly disappointed!

Amazing Italian cuisine at ridiculously affordable prices! The atmosphere felt fancy, but the staff made it feel like a home. Definitely recommend if you’re ever in Windsor!

Fast and efficient service every step of the meal. One tip to staff: someone stating they’re vegan does not want Parmesan cheese grated on top.:) (we were asked a few times). Penne pasta was decent and the bread and salad starters were delicious.

The food was excellent! Seasoned and hot throughout eating it! The customer service was exceptionally great. This was my first time dining here and I will definitely be going back! I recommend this restaurant to everyone! They also have a kid menu. ‍️

Wedding reception on the second floor. Walking in from the street, the lower floor seems cozy with lots of wood and street cafe lights - I need to come back to enjoy the regular dining experience. The reception food, obviously prepared by the Spago was plentiful and very tasty.

One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever tried! They give you complimentary bread, and the quality of the food is really good, and the best desert - Tiramisu! I am glad we found this place to stop for lunch on a business road trip.

I can only give a glowing review concerning this restaurant. Both the service and the food was excellent! I will return wherever possible to this restaurant in Windsor's "Little Italy" district.

A place with such good ratings, I was hoping for better quality food. As you see from the pictures we paid close to $13 for 6 pieces of Calamari. Not impressed. The main entree took forever to arrive. The Meatball spaghetti off the bad did not look great and the taste was 1/5. However the Gnocchi was good. Doubt ill be returning to this place. Comparing Toronto Italian food vs Windsor Italian food here.

Some of the best authentic Italian cuisine Windsor/Detroit area. I had not been there in quite a few years and quality of food and service was still outstanding.

Nice place with a good staff. We ordered Pizza Florentina and Pizza Pesto e pollo. Both were perfect. It was a busy day but the service was still good. Loved their Tiramisu - must try!

I have had my birthday here 3 times and have always had amazing service. I used to come to this place with my ex often and they always spoiled us. I love the owners and I feel they are a staple in windsor for the very best tasting food you will ever have.

Visited with my mom for an early dinner after a matinee downtown. When we arrived at 5 there were plenty of tables. By six the place was full. Charming atmosphere, great service, delicious food.

This third time In Spago but every time is so good but this time the sandwich bread it’s overcooked and it’s a little burned

Went for the first time and the value is great! Although I did find a hard metal wire in my bread and my server just blew me off when I told him about it.

Wonderful Italian eatery! Authentic & full of Italy in Windsor. Waits on the weekend can get long so go early or on an off day.

Beautiful ambiance and great food. Their Gnocchi Michelangelo was the best I have ever tasted. Pizza was good too - thin crust and great tasting sauce.

I usually really like Spago but this time it was a little disappointing. The Pizza Spago was not that great. The scaloppine al limone was SO sour that it overpowered even the taste of the meat. The portion of the meat was also quite small. The only thing that saved the meal was the manicotti but even that I've had better manicotti at another Italian restaurant.

Delicious. Great service. Nice free appetizer given as soon as you get there. Like bruschetta. Try the arancini.

Great ambience, food, and service. The dishes remind me of the Italian food I would eat at my best friend's house when we were growing up.

The charbroiled lamb was sitting for a while and gotten cold (was expecting it hot right out of the grill) but tasted adequate. The veal was so oily it was not eatable, literally drenched in a sea of oil. Salad was delicious and the eggplant app was decent as well (but definitely had gotten cold by time it was served). Service was great, so it’s a mixed experience, but in the end you go to a restaurant expecting the food experience to be flawless, and unfortunately it was disappointing this time around.

I had been craving lasagna for a while and found myself on Erie street with my daughter. Well she loves the other Spago so we had to go. The bread and salad were perfect but my lasagna was a bit on the salty side. It was still very yummy and cheesy, I just drank a lot of water later.
I felt my daughter's penne with blush sauce was also a bit salty, but she loved it! That's what really matters.
The service was superb as expected.
Would definitely recommend it. Wish I had taken pics before we ate, but we were both just too hungry.maybe next time.
