Good luck getting a call back for an appointment. Left 3 VMs, tried booking online. Nothing! Customer service is atrocious! Wow look at that leave a review and got response in 10 minutes, lol. Dr.koh there was no email sent or I would have had an appointment that I missed and someone would have called. Also there was zero calls from your office now any VM left. Your right communication is key, but when your calls are Not returned, makes it hard! All good money spent elsewhere thanks for finally responding

This has to be one of the most positive customer experiences that I've ever had! I had gone in for a comprehensive eye examination. The staff are warm and friendly and Dr. Koh is incredible - she takes you through the whole examination and explains everything. She clearly knows her stuff and leads from the front! Very, very personable - I felt like I was having a conversation with an old friend within minutes of arriving! The practice has modern diagnostic equipment, including OCT for retinal examination. It's impeccably clean and well-organized and there was no pressure to buy glasses that I didn't need. They handle automated insurance billing so you couldn't have a less complicated experience. Although this appointment was for myself, I'm certain that this is the place that you'd want to bring your kids for their eye examinations. I love the idea that this is a local small business that I can support, so I'll certainly be recommending it to everyone who needs an optometrist and I'll be back in two years for my next check-up. Keep up the fantastic work, Dr. Koh!

Dr. Ivy is amazing! My wife and I always go see her for our prescription glasses and sunglasses.

I have been a customer for years now. Dr. Koh does a thorough, well done eye exam. When I've had eye issues, which unfortunately has been a few times recently, she's been able to see me on a relatively quick basis. The store itself carries great frames, and they've introduced me to perscription swimming eyewear which was life changing for me being able to take my kids to the pool without worry.
It's a nice, friendly little clinic that takes great care of me as a customer.

I was so pleased with my first visit to Specs and Spines! I was helped by the lovely Eva in the front who was so patient and catering to me as I searched for a pair of prescription sunglasses. Her knowledge of their broad selection was so helpful - I had no idea what I wanted! I came out with the perfect pair and could not be happier. Thank you and see you for the next pair!

I had an appt.today and was completely satisfied with all of the time and care that Dr. Ivy extended to me. The clinic is very clean and well equipped. We are glad to have found an optician as thorough as Dr. Ivy.

After receiving my  prescription from my eye exam, I needed to find out a specific measurement that was not listed on the prescription that I had enter for me to be able to  purchase my glasses online. Therefore, I contacted the clinic and a  lady answered the phone.   I asked her what the measurements were because I will be purchasing my glasses online. First she told me good luck with that. This lady refused to give me the measurement, was extremely rude to me. So I asked her if I could speak to the optometrist than did my eye exam, and she refused. I was completely in shock by this kind of behaviour. I have never experienced this at other eye clinics. Lastly, I asked her if I could speak to the manager, and then she told me she is the manager. This time I was even more in shock. I am not sure if this lady is lying about being the manager. I asked her if this was good customer service because clearly it was not. She did not care. I then stated that I will not be coming back there again for their service. She then replied with: That's fine. Goodbye.
Up until that time I had no problem with this clinic. The optometrist who did my eye exam was great.   I was even planning on coming back, but I will not because of this lady.

I have nothing but incredible things to say about Specs and Spines. Dr. Ivy was very thorough with my eye exam, walked me through every step and made me feel comfortable and welcomed. Eva was very attentive towards me while I was choosing my new eyewear and helped immensely with helping me choose a pair that suited me! She spent the time with me that I needed to decide and I am so happy with how they turned out. I cannot express how happy I was with the service after years of feeling unheard by other optometrists.

Being a business operator and providing customer service go hand in hand. Today I learned that Specs and spines value a costumer and serve them with a smile until the service goes beyond the actual sale and their clean profit. Over a year ago I was referred to them by a previous customer and have gone to have my eyes checked. Consequently I choose a Titanium frame and lens for over 1000 dollars, more then I ever paid in the past. I was told they are durable and strong. I was happy and the pair, aside for minor problems, served me well. I came in around December to address a couple of the issues. I was told that I'd be called after speaking to the frame manufacture if they deem themselves not responsible for the chip. I did not really agree and felt the frame and lens should be under warranty, but left it with them waiting for the call. Called myself a couple times to follow up as it exceeded the time frame I was given to get them back. Then around Jan 20 I called to be told they made it in. Good News! I was told all issues addressed and fixed with no charge, the bad news I was told is it had to come through customs and that will cost me $100 dollars. I expressed my displease and left it to the referring person who knows them and is a customer to deal with the situation as he also resides near by. This is where the service failed. After a conversation, the optometrist agreed to reduce half the cost (Still trying to wrap my head around this one. (How am I being charged for border fees?) Upon pick up charged $60 (clearly not a half). It was clear in their demeanour, voice and service that we have caused them a loss and became less then a priority to them. As I realize it may have not been ideal for them, it is definitely a big part of operating a business and customer service. They may have been out $100 dollars but may have had me come back to spend $1000 more in the future.

My husband and I have been visiting Dr. Ivy for our eye exams and appreciate her thoroughness and patience in walking us through the results. My 3-year old had her first exam this year with Dr. Ivy and she is great working with kids. She definitely put my daughter at ease and even got some laughs. She has a great selection of eye wear and her staff is very patient with helping select the right ones - I did not feel rushed at all. Highly recommend Dr. Ivy.

Had a comprehensive eye exam ($128) here couple of days ago with Dr Ivy. She was very knowledgeable, friendly and provided an excellent service. The clinic was SPOTLESS and every surface/equipment was sanitized multiple times before and after having my face on them. Unsure why some people feel the need to complain about "high" prices. Simply call and inquire about prices prior to setting up an appointment, so that theres no surprise? I swear some people just want to complain about everything.
Anyways, my experience at the clinic was very very positive. Dr Ivy and her receptionist made me feel welcome and taken care of. 11/10 would recommend

I noticed a slow decline in my vision in the recent years and decided that I would go see an optometrist. My experience in this clinic was seamless. From the moment I walked in, Eva greeted me, Dr. Ivy was so warm and professional during my consultation. Really listened to my concerns. Explained my diagnosis and helped me better understand. Eva then helped me pick out glasses which I was pleasantly surprised on how good they looked! BEST decision ever!

Way too expensive for an eye test. Other places will do the same test for $50-75. I called to inquire and cancel my appointment and the receptionist was rude. How a place like that can run in a lower income area boggles my mind.

My husband and I received service fit for a king and queen from Dr. Ivy Koh and her team, Eva and Josie. We experienced professional chiropractic expertise, cool selection of contemporary glasses and informative friendly service at Spec's and Spines. We can see clearly (even with our masks) and highly recommend this shop without hesitation!

Recently, we ordered replacement contact lenses for an existing prescription. Our technician, Eva, was awesome as she took the time to explain the differences between various brands and types of contact lenses. She is very knowledgeable about each brand and wanted to ensure that we experience the best possible fit and comfort from our contact lenses. We are very happy with the knowledgeable staff, exceptional customer service, and price of our contact lenses.

We has a fantastic experience with Dr. Ivy Koh and her staff for an eye exam for our entire family including my 4 year old. The receptionist Eva was very friendly and great at keeping my daughter and son entertained while we got our eyes checked. The office is very clean, modern and the selection of eye wear was well curated with classic yet contemporary and trendy frames. They helped me pick out great frames when I went in not knowing what I wanted. Dr. Koh is amazing with kids. She is so patient and my daughter really enjoyed her first experience getting her eyes checked. Dr. Koh is knowledgeable and compassionate. I would highly recommend her to anyone— you won’t regret it.

Conveniently located! My experience here was smooth from start to finish. The receptionist was very kind and knowledgeable. Came in for an eye exam. The doctor took her time, and properly explained everything carefully. Would highly recommend!

Dr. Koh and Dr. Koh are both fantastic at what they do. This brother and sister team has your back (no pun intended) when it comes to troubles with the spine and eyes. They are kind, well spoken, friendly and have great staff. I visited Specs & Spines this weekend and was thoroughly impressed by the service and attentiveness of Dr. Ivan and Ivy Koh. They are both very professional, great listeners and provided me with the advice and help needed. The store and rooms are also very modern and clean - plus there a vast selection of stylish glasses frames. Thank you Dr. Koh's!

My toddler daughter and I both got our eyes examined by Dr. Ivy and we both had an amazing experience! Dr. Ivy was so great at making the examination fun and comfortable for my 3 year old, and it was great to learn about her eyesight. My examination was also a great experience, and I found it to be much more thorough than what I was used to from other optometrists. Specs and Spines also had a fantastic array of designer frames, and I love the Eyevan frames I found. All-in-all, a terrific experience, thank you!

I have been going to Specs & Spines for the last few months. Their clinic is clean, organized and welcoming. Staff are courteous and professional.

Dr. Ivy was extremely accommodating when I decided to get a new pair of glasses and Michael was very knowledgeable regarding products and lenses.

Dr. Koh has treated me for both my knees and my back. He's always friendly and approachable while also providing high quality service.

I when I first saw spine and specs, I thought great I just go to one place for my back and eye problems.

First, I have been trying to book an appointment via email for the past month until they stopped replying after one response. Second, when I was able to call them and they didn’t have availability for over another month for new patients. (At this point I would have had to wait 2 months) for a service that I’m paying for? This is worst than free health care

To me, receptionist didn’t apologize and she wasn’t accommodating with the hours I work. This is prime example of horrible customer service and greed. I Will never go there.

I was able to see Dr. Ivan Koh before I moved after falling off a ladder. He helped me immensely. He is all around a great chiropractor!

Having just moved to the Mimico area we decided to move our Optician as well. We choose Specs and Spines after walking by it and looking in from the street, then checking out the reviews.
Indeed Dr. Ivy and her staff are friendly and very helpful. They explained everything and did a thorough exam.
I felt as if I was much more than just a new client.
We chose new frames with the assistance of the staff, and Michael especially, was very knowledgeable and great to work with.
A good choice right in our new 'hood!
