Very very disappointed as I ordered 3 things, samosas, 1 veg thali and 1 non veg thali. It took 40 minutes. It was not with only my order, it was with every customer. The management should value their customers time. Only after paying for the food they mentioned that it will take 25-30 minutes but it took more than that. It’s not employees fault as they were trying their best but Management should take action against wait time
Party of 6 for dinner. We all had various types of curry including the fried basa, Goan shrimp, Shrimp tika masala, Lamb, Onion bhujjia (onion rings), pulao rice and naan. Food was delicious. Love that you can set the spiciness of most food. All the curries were gluten free as well. Good sized portions. Masala chai had a nice bite. Mango lassi was very thick! The service was quick and couteous. Will definitely go back!
The lunch special menu has good price and the food is great. The Mango Chicken tastes very good. It is very creamy and it taste very appetizing. We also try Saag Paneer, Butter Chicken and they taste very good. The lunch special also come with chick pea salad as appetizers. Portion is great.
Awesome food, and awesome staff. I grabbed the lamb kebob and chicken kebob with naan. Everything was delicious, and it came with some really good Chutni too! Highly recommend!
We went in there at reasonable time but they only offered take out and said no for dine in. No customers inside, and there were more than 2 people working but they refused for dine in so we just left. Don't know how the food is since first experience did not charmed us
Disappointing. I ordered lamb vindaloo, pilau rice, and garlic naan. Lamb vindaloo was tasteless, salty and greasy. Naan was hard, like they heated up stale bread. Rice was OK. Maybe their main chef was off tonight.
We were in Oshawa for a night and looking for a good place for dinner. We went to Spicy Affairs Indian Cuisine and had the best East Indian food I have had. The Chicken Shahjahani was incredible! The service was fantastic! If in Oshawa, this is a must try.
I order dal makhani and paneer tikka. Daal makhani was great but disappointed by paneer tikka. Poor quality paneer was used, you can hear the chewy sound while eating, not properly marinated and not cooked properly. Peppers and onions tasted like they were boiled and no taste of grilled or tandoor. No chutney or onions on the side. I assume all paneer items should have low quality paneer because usually same paneer is used across all dishes. 3 star for dal makani. I will taste non veg items and will provide review on that too.
The good: servers are quick and polite. The bad: No parking. Parkjng available across the street. The ugly: we ordered the lamb jalfrezi. They served beef and then when i asked the server to check with chef, then insisted it lamb. I dont know if this was intentional or mistake. Either or they were not willing to admit mistake that it was beef that they served. We could even hear the chef from The kitchen being loud and defensive. Avoid the aloo paratha. Its dry and terrible.
My boyfriend and I have been here a handful of times! The food is always hot and tastes really great! The portions are great, it's small and cozy! They will ask how spicy you might like your food. The customer service is very professional as well!
We ordered the curry chicken lunch-came with salad, rice and naan - and beef vindaloo Both were excellent, spicy, delicious and great ingredients Service was quick, friendly and helpful
Amazing food. Been going there since they opened. Hands down, the best food in oshawa. The bowmanville location is excellent too. So happy they opened one there.
Without doubt some of the best Indian food I’ve eaten since moving to Canada from London. Consistently high quality food and service. Eat here and you won’t regret it. Also, it’s called Spicy Affairs for a reason, so maybe try the medium heat before you get too adventurous!
I had entered the restaurant very excitedly but my spirits were crushed with the lacklustre vibes (both in Oshawa and Bowmanville) and in fact, I felt everyone around was being greeted nicely except me and I don’t know why.
Food is decent but not authentic Indian (biryani rice is not genuine Indian style rice and naan is not Indian style).
A positive vibe, equal greetings to all customers and improved food experience can make this a good fare, so I hope they take the feedback positively.
I love Indian food take out every weekend but will be exploring other options in Durham region for now. Thanks Edit - I have been ordering take out and their food quality is excellent and so is their delivery. We are glad to have this new restaurant near us and hope they will expand their veg options too.
If you have no idea about Indian food.then it seems tasty… but if you are well aware of Indian food, this one has no flavours, just Colours.the briyani is just plan rice that looks like briyani rice with terrible meat or prawns. Briyani was the worst.
