Had to return two bottle holders for my 2 bikes that we purchased ahead of time because the two bikes were being tuned up before picking them up (standard sport check procedure). We bought them before getting the bikes assuming they had mounting holes. Once we got the bikes we discovered they didn’t have mounting holes so we can’t mount the two diamondback water bottle holders to our bike. The store manager Glenn didn’t believe us that our bikes didn’t have mount holes. I explained they did not, trust me. He didn’t believe me. The items were in returnable condition so not sure what his problem is. They even sold the bikes we bought in his store but I didn’t bother try to explain further. Glenn came off as very dismissive, not trusting of the customer. The sales associates are great, it’s just the store manager. I’ve had amazing experiences at the Richmond Hill Sportchek but this store manager is difficult. Glenn needs to be educated on the products he carries in his store rather than being tone deaf to the customers explanation. Attached are two images of my bike models showing NO mounting holes for the diamondback bottle holder.
There aren't many choices, especially when it comes to finding gym attire. I would rate it 4 stars if only the paper bag didn't cost $2. Can you believe it? Seriously, why does a 50-cent bag cost $2?
I bought a UA Under Armour sports shoes, its rear part inside damaged for unknow reason not long after 60 days, it seems was damaged automatically.support part inside heel side of the shoe was broken for unknow reason. , it hurts foot heal seriously.since after 60 days, the store refused to do anything.hope all customer be cautious, I think this is product defect. MY self will not buy anything from this store any more.
I ordered online from Fairview with Door Dash delivery. Not only did the product not arrive, but I spent close to 2 hours with customer service trying to track it down. To make matters worse, employees at the store didn't answer the phone (I tried 4 times over 2 days). I will no longer be dealing with this location. The store in Leaside had a separate order ready on time with no hassle.
Fast and responsive service, the employees are super friendly and try their best to help their customers. Thank you for your service guys, keep up the great work
I just ordered 2 bikes online, and received them in store. Drew was the person who set up the bikes and trims in detail, also other employees were nice and accurate. Totally satisfied.
Unsurprisingly busy location. They managed to have enough staff on the floor that I wasn't waiting too long for help, but they list a star for having a low stock for sizes. Three items I checked were down to the last too small or too large sizes.
There's been a change in management in this store a few times, but this most recent time, one of the managers, Alfred I believe is his name is absolutely the rudest retail worker I've ever experienced. Stay clear from this location, he clearly doesn't care about the interests of the customer, this happened a few months ago, but I had called in about an item that had shown stock in their location, I called just through curiosity to see if the product was in fact there because I really needed it then, the first employee had said whatever stock is showing online, it's there, but it said low in stock, I requested to just talk to the manager, and the way Alfred spoke, absolutely not professional at all, quite childish actually. Very difficult person, didn't expect sport chek standards to be so low to hire someone like him as a manager. Won't be spending my money at this location anymore. Too bad I can't rate this store 0/5
It has been a challenging time for all of us, but we can make a difference; sometimes even without any cost to us! I bought a pair of running shoes (the same size and brand of my previously owned). When I picked it up from curbside, shockingly it did not fit! While I am still at the spot (less than 1 minute later), I called the store to switch the pair with a larger size.guess what. I need to buy another pair of running shoes and I have to hold on to this purchase till the store is open after pandemic.then I can return it.what is this? Why? "Sport Check" you lost one customer for sure. BTW, I am writing this review while I am still at the same curbside spot!
Very poor service, I bought something to pick up as curbside. Went to store 7 mjns before they close. Called the number no one answered! Checked in online but no response! Then i went to the door to ask how come no one is bringing my order! Staff response was why did you show up 7 mins before we close. Sorry cant help you! I checked in before they close and waited 7 mins in my car!
Last time i order there, sporting life curbside pick up was much more organized! I will just continue ordering there. Why should i spend money at store where they don’t value me as customer!
They have good soccer shoes and soccer ball and my bicycle was broken and they fixed it. The workers are nice and if u need to fix your bicycle go here.

The worst experience! Very bad service. They don't care about the customers. Don't be surprise if people choose to go online. It seems like I am not the only complaining.

Chris at the bicycle section was very professional, amazing personality, very knowledgeable and made my day great. Thank you for fixing my bicycle pedals. He deserve to be promoted.
Waited 15 minutes while another costumer returning an item. Store was super empty and all employees doing nothing. I was the only person that needed to check out. I asked can you check me out while you wait for your manager and the rude girl in the front said “ cant”. Finally left the pair of glasses on the counter and told her im leaving she didn’t even look up and said “ sureeeeee”. Never coming back. Rude and incompetent.
Worst customer service! A sales associate named chloe no manners and very rude! They need to hire people with good customer service! Never buying anything from there! She had the worst attitude and wasn’t only rude with me but with other customers as well.
After a long wait time and experience a very poor customer service with a salesperson (Dennis) who was so rude and has no knowledge of merchandises that I was concerning, since I was there at end of the day around 8: 30 P. M. I didn't want to complain to his manager and ruin the rest of the night for myself and him, so I tried to ignore his disrespectful behavior however I decided to leave this review and hopefully the management team will bother to redo the training for him since I really believe he is not well trained.
I’m sad to have to do this, but they played with me as a customer. I left two racquets for stringing on Jan 8th and clearly asked and got confirmation that my racquets would be ready by Jan 9th night l when I had a championship match. Found out now, 8pm, “there was a scheduling mistake”. Now I’m out of racquets, lost the game by W. O. And there’s nothing sportscheck can do. Not to mention I had to pay in advance (really expensive, almost 50 bucks to string both racquets with my string). Anyways. Last time. I am sorry for sportscheck and their customers. Treat us with respect. You could have CALED OR EMAILED ME
Great selection and prices. Asian guy in the suit helped me out and had a friendly attitude however the blonde girl at the counter does not provide customer at the same level at everyone. No smile, no greeting. Felt like a robotic transaction. She was quite happy with select few customers. All customers should be treated equally.
I came to the Fairview location on 27 Feb 2020. The lady with the glasses working the shoe section and the lady at the cash along with their manager Jevon were very helpful and patient with my inquiries and purchase process. Despite being busy, I was tended to fairly quickly. I felt heard and I wasn't made to feel like a bother to them. Keep it up! The is what customer service is all about.
Slowesr customer service ever! If there is 0 zero, I would definitely choose 0. Everytime to do pick up, only one customer in line. AT LEAST 20 minutes! Girls, you only have one customer okay? He/she only has one item okay?
Large store, not well organized. Many merchandise were in the wrong places, may be too busy during the Christmas season. Staff were friendly, long line up for check out.
The manager at this location is unbelievably incompetent. I’ve dealt with him 3 different times in total, and all 3 times he gave me totally incorrect information.of all the employees on SC’s roster, is this really the cream of the crop? Sad.
Worse customer service and staff.their attitude is truly horrible. I went the other day to pick up something I order and went to the customer service area and three Male workers see me standing there and not a single one came and asked what do I need.they just chatting with one another about their weekend plans.and laughing.even though it is the most busy time of the year the work like they are in holidays and not care about their job.they are extremely rude.
Came into this store to return an Apple Watch that I received. The watch came opened and without a packing slip or packing paper. When explaining this to the manager he told us that as long as the product had not been registered they would resell it in the same condition. I’ve confirmed with the customer service hotline that this is not how opened products should be treated and there is even another review of this store with a similar experience from a couple months ago. Even before returning the products the employees at the store would put us on hold for 20 minutes at a time then hung up as we were trying to see if we could exchange. I suspect they may have a problem with their phones as it happened twice in a row before we informed them about it. Nonetheless every other store we called to check for stock immediately went to check for the item and we were never transferred, they even tried looking in other stores for us but this location treated us very poorly overall.
Ordered a pair of basketball shoes online through the store, After a week and a half I received a pair but in the wrong color so I returned them and re-ordered (again online, through the cashier because they didn't have the color in stock). After another week or and a bit, I was sent the same wrong pair.
I emailed customer service and their resolution was to just return it in store or ship it back, without a word of how to get the pair they're advertising online.
Apparently the store has the pair in stock so I tried calling but because it's understaffed, no one picks up or I'm put on hold for 20+ minutes at a time.
Terrible shopping experience, wouldn't recommend.edit* - I was on hold for an hour and then the line disconnected.
Recently purchased an Apple Watch online. To my horror, it was not a sealed box and the box was badly damaged. I quickly went to this location fearing that they will not return it because it was unsealed. David, the store manager, understood my concerns. He unboxed and examined that there were no scratches, it was not paired with a phone and all parts were there. He gave me the option of returning it or keeping it with a discount. Thank you. A family member purchased two watches and one was also unsealed. This situation was worse because there was not a Watch in the box. He was horrified and quickly went to his nearest Sport Chek. Thankfully they refunded his money. Beware ordering online here. Two out of three products were unsealed. My box was clearly damaged. This couldn’t be a mistake, definitely intentional Giving this store and manager 5 stars but overall company online practices very dishonest.
There is one problem with this location. There are never enough people working the registers and the lineups are always long. I’m hoping someone from management will read this and improve the situation. The last experience someone has at a retail location is often what resonates.
The shop itself is great. Good selections and friendly helpful staff. Only one thing I would like to mention. Two weeks ago I went to the store buying some stuff. A guy came to me and asked me to apply for a Canadian Tire credit card so I could get 15% off. I checked in the store with cashier on that day. They told me that the guy was in deed from their store. Since I bought quite a bit of stuff, I applied. But since then, this recent two weeks, all of a sudden, my phone starts getting a lot of unknown phone calls. Even though I blocked those numbers, they still came through. Very strange! It is of my huge concern that my personal info might be leaked out.
Store is a little small for a sports chek. I understand that shoppers don't always put things back where they found them but I don't need a lecture about it when I ask for the price of an unmarked item.
Took 30 minutes to process a size exchange.only one cashier at the check out.held up the line while waiting for the cashier to call for the product. I suggested taking the next customer first. She agreed to do so.when the product arrived. She was not sure how to proceed with the process. Called for support for the process. No response after 5-7 minutes.line up starting to form a snake. I suggested again she can take the next customer. This time she said she does not wish to suspend the current transaction because she will have to start all over.it's just one item.people in line had no idea what's going on and it is embarrassing for me to make all these people wait because of me. She did not call for back up to cash and two staff looked at the line as if that's normal and just chit chat with the cashier and then went back to their business.just don't quite understand how hard it is to call for back up?
Good collection of jackets - which is what I went to check. They have most of the major brands and you can easily search through them as they are segmented (men's/ladies as well as outdoor/lifestyle). Great staff who are very knowledgeable, especially of you are looking to buy your first winter jacket. I was helped by Glen - try to find him to get good advice on what to buy and brand recommendations.
Large shop featuring sports products, clothing, shoes etc. From baseball kits to hockey kits as well as tennis and badminton supplies you can find it all.
Take note of the shoes section as they always have some items on clearance sale.
