I just registered figure skating lessons, so I went to the store last night to buy a pair of figure skates with excitement. Arkan (if I remember his name right) helped me out with finding the right size of boots and blade guards. He has exceptional customer service skills, so he made my day! I also got free sharpening service and the technician was very kind too. He explained me all the details about different types of sharpening.

Good customer service! Purchased a pair of shoes for delivery from another store and needed to exchange them. Sherway Garden location had 2 pairs I like in stock so went there & a guy helped me, got both pairs for me to try and I took one to the checkout, did the exchange -was in & out within 5 mins. The staff is efficient & friendly.

I recently visited Sports Chek to shop for sportswear, and I had a fantastic experience with Tisa. She was incredibly helpful, patient, and kind throughout my shopping process.

I came to get a pair of shoes and it seemed staff were going out of their way to ignore me. Even after flag an associate for assistance no one came to help so I left. I won’t be shopping here again. If they don’t want my business, that’s cool. I’ll go somewhere else.

SportChek is a big store in Sherway Mall. It has all kind of sports garments, shoes and watches for men, women and children. The store is nicely decorated and goods display is good too. Almost all sports brands of garments and shoes have been placed here. But didn't find any good deals in this big store.

Worst bike service. Waited 30 mins for a costumer service person in bike zone. Staff are lost in space. Weak. Ditch sportchek and shop at real local bike shops.

Amazing staff at the Sherway Gardens location. Easily the best Sportchek in town. Great customer service. Had an issue today and Alex took care of it. Check out this location, its huge and has a great selection.

It's a huge store with a good inventory. It has a sophisticated interior than any Sport Chek I've been to. Staff is friendly and helpful. It's a spacious store and well organized. The only problem I faced in my today's visit is that I went there to buy hiking shoes, they have tons of variety but the problem was they were out of my size (13) in more than 6-7 different pairs.

The cashier denied refund/exchange the UA footwear we purchased 15 days before because it was worn 1 time before and can not be immediately sold in Store. They violate their own Refund Policies and ask if User Armour would refund/exchange the product. It leaves us with question on why to not buy from the producers directly if this middlemen does not want to take any responsibility?

Very Helpful Staff and Excellent Service Department. Management is doing something right at this location!

I came in Saturday looking for a specific shoe that I knew was in stock. Upon reaching the shoe area I saw a sea of men all huffing and puffing, I realized then they were all waiting for help. It seems as though they only staffed one person in the entire shoe area who would disappear and leave customers waiting and waiting…. It took me half an hour to finally catch him and get the shoe I wanted to try on. If it wasn’t for the Nike store being sold out of my size I wouldn’t have bothered with the wait.

Very organized shop. They always have a lots choices. Helpful staff. Reasonable prices. Thank you!

I avoid shopping here as much as I can. I despise how everything is organized by brand and not by clothing type. Need shorts? You can't just go to the shorts/pants section, you have to go to each brand's individual section in the store just to see all the options. It's silly.

There are 9 cash registers here. They only staff 3 of them. Lined up outside the queue area.

Kid at the service desk checked me out for one item. I went back with another and he refused even though he was standing around doing nothing.

Great store, unfortunately not enough staff. Waited 20 mins in the shoe department after hearing "There should be some one to help with sizes shortly. "

Went in for an exchange and Salvatore was super helpful. They didn't have the same size in the style I wanted, so he helped me find a good style in my size

Extremely incompetent and useless employees.

Came to the store for compression socks. Tried to find an employee on the 2nd floor to ask them where the socks are. Found 4 employees chatting with each other in a semi-hidden nook. Were told that compression socks are on floor 1.

Went to floor 1. No compression socks in sight. Asked another employee - they started looking around the floor for good five minutes. Then went to ask someone else (more senior employee?). Told us that we need to go to floor 3.

Went to floor 3. See some socks, but not compression socks. Asked another employee for help. They made a broad gesture to the socks section. We explained that we see no compression socks there. Employee takes out their phone to check inventory. Say that they have compression socks "in the back" and if we tell which ones we need - they can bring them out. We do tell. Employee leaves.

10 minutes later same person comes back with no socks. Tells us that "all the socks are on this level" (broad gesture) and that we should start looking. Employee leaves. We look around for a bit more and decide to buy compression socks in a different chain.

Bad customer service. This store is a joke. I wanted to purchase two pairs of running shoes. The sales associate showed no interest in wanting to help me. He kept disappearing into the back room and when he would sneak his head out of the back room, he seemed genuinely disappointed when I asked him for help. It seemed he was more interested in playing with his red bouncy ball.
I did not purchase any shoes and would not recommend this place to anyone.

I had gone towards closing time to purchase a bike. Regardless of the time however the staff were extremely patient and helpful in helping me choose a bike for my budget. Connor (a staff member working their) took his time in showing me the range of bikes and was also kind enough to suggest a lock that was within my budget. Overall the store is well stocked and maintained. I'd recommend this place for anyone looking for sporting goods and apparel

Went to the sherway gardens location, lots of selection on running shoes and quite a few were on sale.

Very unprofessional, they don't care about customer service, they don't take pride in their products their selling.how would you like to buy a product that the packaging is all smashed, and when you asked they just don't care.very disappointed.

Seemed understaffed Saturday. Shoe guys top floor kinda just stood there. Few guys were working at it though.

The bike shop this time dissapointed me a lot. Last year I took my bike to do what they call a "Minor Tune Up" and it was amazing. I received my bike clean, shining and working very well. This time though (dropped it last week, picked it up this week) they didn't clean it at all and they also left the front derailleur loose.so the chain went off right away

Shopped here for soccer cleats.

Well manged store. Great staff. Quick billing. Versatile collection of shoes. Interior done well. Pricey for sports accessories.

Large store in CF Sherway Gardens. Lots of products and selection.
03/26/2022: lots of bikes available for the spring!

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Jan 19,2022 went to this store to buy winter boots but unfortunately shoe size is not available so the sales staff recommended that they will order it online. So I followed their recommendation and even paid cash on their counter store that day trusting that I could have my boots on the next few days. After a week my order didn't arrive. I called the customer service and they said their delivery man cannot locate my address and they said they will process the refund in 35 days. What 35 days? Today February 27,2022 I called customer service again but refund is not yet available. It has been very disappointing and frustrating because winter is almost over. I don't deserved this. NEVER again would I buy to your store again.

Terrible customer service line. Called to ask about a pair of goggles, was put on hold for 15 minutes
On last attempt at 1: 50pm 2022/02/13 a female worker picked up and I asked her to check the item directly
Checked for the item, told me it was out of stock and immediately rudely hung up
Absolutely uncalled for and will never shop at this location again

Great place, only downfall I came from out of town and had put an item aside. Drove 45 minutes to be told they don't put items aside.

Luckily they had 1 left.but frustrating because I was told that their policy was not to keep anything aside but yet one of their phone reps told me it will be good for the day.

But other than that I love it.

I went in the shop, can't find what I am looking for. I asked one of the stuff. Although the shop do not carry the product, he did suggest where other I can find it. Good customer service.

Called the store today asked if a running shoe was available in size 9.5 and was told they have it available. Went in store to try them on before purchasing as online order was not available for that specific running shoe. Waited for 15 mins and was told only size 9 available. Wasted an hour of my time running around for nothing.

Ordered shoes online from here and when I received them they were full of dog and human hair, as well as a scuff on the toe of it. If you’re going to resell used shoes during a pandemic at least clean them.

Lots of good stuff but I hate when stores arrange items by brand name instead of function. Makes it so hard to shop for a specific item (rain jacket in my case)

Went in today with an older tennis racquet to get a new grip and string. There was a tall young man at the counter helping me out. I expected it to take quite a while but it was ready about 2 hours later when we were done shopping. Great experience!

However their selection of new tennis racquets is lacking pretty heavily. (Only about 3 different kinds on the shelves).

Husband went to get a pair of shoes and waited 20 minutes for someone to help him. The guy that finally offered to find his sizes disappeared for 5-10 minutes, dropped off the shoes and disappeared. After finally flagging him down for a bigger size, we gave up after waiting another 10 minutes for him to come back. Earlier in the day I purchased a bike for my son downstairs and the sales staff in bikes was wonderful. But while browsing waiting for pick up, we saw the chaos in the shoe section. Lots of people waiting for assistance. After months of closures, it’s surprising the sales staff cares so little and doesn’t make an effort to help you find sizes—something you literally NEED a sales associate to help you with. Won’t be bothering with sportchek in the future.

There is no order to this store. Basketball shoes in cleated section. No one to help us. When someone finally showed up, they had no concept as to who was here first. Very frustrating experience. I worked in retail for authentic shoes. This would never have happened in my store. I guess this is what you get when you go to a big box store.

Went to do a pick up order. Couldn't find where to park. Then I tried to use the check in button on my email but it didn't work. Decided to go inside and get my order. The guy at the day said it would take a few minutes because they were busy. After a few minutes they asked for my order number. The person read it to them. After a few more minutes a girl comes over and asks me if it's a bike. I said no it's a sleeping pad. She went away and a few more minutes later she came back with my order.

Came to this location last week to purchase the bicycle I'd seen on their website. Darius was great. He took the time to ask what my intended use was for the bike (e.g. Trails vs streets) and walked through the pros/cons of different models. Because of him, I was spared from purchasing a more expensive model which would not have held up to trail usage. A well-informed, polite, and friendly sales associate. That's what customer service is supposed to look like. Thanks, Darius!

The store is large, and well stocked. The staff are friendly and professional. I was able to find my pair of ASICS right away. In and out in 15 minutes. Definitely worth the drive from Toronto.

Horrible service. They stood around talking about tiktok & they're day while us the customer was waiting for help & to get sizes.

Unfortunately had bad experiences coming here twice. And both times left the store frustrated due to staff simply being rude and not knowledgeable.

Large Sport Chek location with quite a bit of selection. For example batting gloves, there are numerous in stock, more than I would have thought.

Very hard to find things - poor layout for a Sportchek considering the large size. Many employees were not wearing masks. Not a good location.

This location is huge and has great inventory to choose from. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. One should definitely check out this Sportcheck location.

In the children shoe area it’s almost impossible to get help. When you do get a salesperson they have to disappear across the store to get the stock

Horrible service. Waited 30 minutes to pick up an order of shoes that was delivered to the store. Kept being told “they’re looking for them”. Absolutely useless help from everybody here. How long does it take to find shoes with my order number and receipt?

Great store, a lot of selection. Everyone was very nice and helped find what we were looking for to the best of their ability. Received great service from Ashley at the cash.

Perfect spot for holiday shopping! So many great things for gifts and stocking stuffers. The men's underwear Saxx were such a great hit! Staff are great, very helpful and friendly. Parking was decent. Must go!

Walked around for 20 minutes to find someone to unlock the change room. Generally poor customer service throughout shopping experience.

Beyond frustrated with their phone service and website. Firstly, the website isn't working properly when I enter in information to search. Secondly, due to the website not working, I called the store. 1st call, they mumbled something then I just hear them laughing for two minutes in the background, 2nd and 3rd calls no answer, 4th they answer and just hang up, and 5th I'm transferred to another department and put on hold to the point where I hang up to call back AGAIN and talk to the same girl. I tell her my concerns with just trying to simply ask a question to someone and she says she will personally take me to the correct department.and then I'm on hold again for almost 10 minutes! I just hung up and am disappointed I won't get the gift I am searching for here. Very upsetting and unprofessional.

Good selection and very helpful staff. Parking is limited near the mall entrance but plenty of parking at the adjacent roof top parking.

The staff was EXTREMELY tireless and helpful in trying to locate a size that there system had. When that didn't pan out they offered a number of alternatives. Really appreciated their perseverance and fantastic customer service!

I placed an order online for pick up in store at just after 3: 00 pm.
My expectation, simply based on my experiences with other retailers, was that it would be a quick and easy process. Most retailers that I have dealt with have been able to fill an order and have it ready for pick up within a typical range of 1 - 4 hours.
Not SportChek. It was 27 hours later.
During that time span, I managed to find a suitable replacement for my order that was preferred and less expensive.
I called Customer Service and was told that my order could not be cancelled by them due to the fact that (at that time) my order was in the "being processed" stage and that I could simply go to the store and cancel it.
Later that day, I arrived at the store to be told that they could not cancel the order while it was in the "being processed" stage as well. I was told to wait for notification that the order was ready for pick up and then call the store to cancel it. The attitude of the employee I spoke to was somewhat condescending. I was simply there because I was given inaccurate information by the Customer Service Department.
Seems the two departments are not clear on how to handle a situation such as this.
3 hours later, I received notification by email that my order was ready for pick up. Tried calling the store. Pointless effort. No answer. I left it till the next day.
Called at store opening time the next day and after a reasonable amount of time and one department transfer, I got someone on the phone.
I was told that because the order was complete and my card had been charged, the order could not be cancelled.
Seriously?
My options were to have it sent back to the distribution centre and then it would be processed as a return - up to 10 business days later, or come to the store, pick it up, then return it.
I just have to say that this experience was less than stellar. Information given to customers should be accurate. Policies and Procedures should be clear and concise on the website and also between departments in order to avoid customer frustration.
This will be the last time I shop with SportChek. Period.

I ordered a pair of shoes from here because my foot size was not available here. I paid nearly $50 for the pair including shipping charges. I waited for the pair for almost 1 month. When i called in the store, they had no record of my online order. They really need to hire responsible employees at the store.

Called the store for a stock check and was told that they were transfering me to another department. Was placed on hold for 20 min and no one picked up.

Very disappointed that we were forced to go from the top floor to the main floor in order to pay for our merchandise. I get that your store is accessible but when you have a stroller and need to cart everything with you to purchase products.we almost left without purchasing. The register on the top floor was empty. An associate saw us waiting and said we had to go downstairs in order to pay. This is a three story store. You need to have enough staff to provide customer service on all floors. Our thoughts when leaving the store.next time we'll just order through amazon.

I came to the store on Friday and ordered a pair of sneakers online, as they didn’t have my size. The staff member who informed us about the system said that the shoes would arrive in 1 day, but that was not the case. It was postponed for Monday, then Tuesday, and now Wednesday. They still have not arrived. The indicator keeps telling us that the shoes are “on their way! ” This service is poor, and I would not recommend shipping as opposed to purchasing in-store.

Laziest floor reps I’ve ever encountered. Not sure if it’s not included in training to help customers find sizes or even certain items, but no one was readily able or willing to locate items shown as in-stock on the website. Particularly troubling/troubled was the larger, Caucasian girl at the checkout on the second floor

I went in on a Thursday to get a couple pairs of running shoes. Once I had browsed and picked out some I wanted to try on, I then waited for twenty minutes in the shoe department and not a single CSR came by. I went and found someone who begrudgingly helped me get a size to try. I liked one and then went back and tried to find a second pair. Again, not a CSR to be found. Half an hour later, I gave up and bought the one pair, only half sure that they were actually the ones I wanted. Every cash seemed to have 3 or 4 employees casually chatting and there were very few customers in the store. Managers, maybe you need to remind your employees there are in the customer service business!

I dropped by to return a portion of an online order. The store was very neat and the staff were pleasant to interact with. I had a smooth experience returning the one item from my online order.

Biggest Sport Chek in the GTA and GVA. Nuff said. Cycling section still very lacking, but in line with other Sport Cheks.

Visited the NIKE store again, thanks to the awesome Natasha for helping me out!

First time posting a review, i overall found the place great, lots of selection, except a downgrade in customer service/people skills, especially from an employee named marco if i recall, flat out refused to help us and walked away, having to actually go look around to find another employee who was very helpful.pros: great selection/ lots of good offers

cons: need better screening of employees.

I have gone to the sportchek at sherway gardens a few times and decided to give my first review, i decided to see the deals they had going for mother's day special this saturday, it was extremely busy at the shoe section, but i found philip who despite being very busy, went beyond expectations to help me and my wife, he had nothing to gain from these gestures, but im making sure its not going unnoticed, sportchek definitely has one of the best customer service ive seen so far.great job!

I usually don't get this much customer service visiting a retail store. I want to recognize Mark and Abdishakur as they both went above and beyond. They're clearly an Integral piece of the SportChek family. Great work boys keep it up!
