It's disappointing when customer service falls short. The manager's refusal to accept my return, despite my assurance that the product hasn't been used and lacked proper packaging, reflects poorly on their commitment to customer satisfaction. This inconsistency in their claims raises concerns about their professionalism and the overall service at Sportscheck. I’d recommend a different location.

All round sports store that isn't great at anything. The space is not very well used and they try to be everything to all sports and not specialized in anything. You may find what you need in clothing but nothing stands out, clothing is very repetitive from brand-to-brand which makes you want to walk out of the store. You're lucky to find what you want and we did! Maybe when they are in a seasonal transition is not the best time to shop. Even so the sales were limited to old stock. Would I shop there again? Yes, without expectation.

Nice store with ample parking available out front. I went on an evening to look at and possibly purchase a YETI cooler. Unfortunately they only had one in stock that I saw and it was way up on a top shelf and it was a larger size than I wanted. I asked an employee if there was any other stock and he said no, my best bet was to try the Leaside location. The young man I spoke with, was friendly and helpful. I had seen yeti coolers online, (on the Sport Chek website) but wanted to get an idea of the size in person. The rest of the store was fairly typical Sport Chek. Colourful displays, staff were available. Lots of different clothing available, By your favourite name brands.
I did end up going to the Leaside store where they had a little bit larger selection of these coolers but not many. I ended up buying online directly from yeti.

1) The staff are not only ignorant about the sport and the equipment but they also pretend to know and humour people. Me and my partner were looking for a couple of badminton racquets, we were told that a staff would come to assist us in that department, the person who came not only hadn’t played the sport but also proceeded to give us superficial advice on the equipment. He didn’t know what he was talking about to a point that even a newbie like me had to ask him if he even knew anything about the sport. Luckily he said he didn’t
2) the person at checkout didn’t tell us about the 25% off sale. The SportsChek website doesn’t load on my phone (technical issue with the website all other websites do) and so I couldn’t check for deals. The voluntary intentional non discloser of this information was shocking and deceitful. I would like the store manager to look into this and call me

I have provided this feedback in the feedback form as well with my contact information. Waiting to see whether they care about customer experience at all.

Had a wonderful experience here! Got alot of helpful advice and support with my purchase. The associate fahim was very kind and patient with me and helped me find the shoes I was looking for

The customer service is non existent. 4 store guys hanging out at the back in the mens section talking about college and how is the party scene. 3 girls in the front talking about random non work related stuff in the front by the cash. These are the people sport chek hired. Meanwhile, 4 people are waiting in line to pay and only one cashier. Pink hair store girl passes by looks everyone in line, in the eye proceeds to write some thing on her hand and join the girls talking about randomness. Not one person in the group decides to help. At this point they should make to store self serve cause the customers are doing everything by themselves anyways.find shoe sizes, dealing with attitude when asking for sizes for shoes that are kept in the back, not finding sizes in clothing etc etc. I wasnt 2022 enough to be helped. I had an awesome coupon that i could only use in the store that had me go in but seems like it's just gonna be online from here on if I choose to shop with sport chek.

Bought a Nakamura bike that broke after the second use, Sports Check refused to fix the broken gears because according to the terms of their "guarantee" nothing that moves is covered, that just means they wont cover anything since the bike "moved" when we used it, very different to what the sale's lady told us when we purchased.
"no worries" your bike is fully guaranteed for a full 2 years let alone 2 days!
Bad products, terrible service!

We returned Merrell sandals that hurt my wife's feet and picked up a really great pair of Woods (if you can believe) sandals that were excellent. Staff was courteous and helpful.

Worst store in terms of customer experience. The guy in the floor did a great job in helping me find the right size of shoes but the cashier woman gave me a very bad attitude for double checking the price with her. As I was having a long day and rushed to the store to buy a pair of shoes, was confused on whether the price of the shoes was same as mentioned in the price tag on display. Though I paid, out of curiosity asked the woman if that was the right price, she murmured (cursed) and asked me to go take a picture of the price tag, realized that was the right amount came back to collect the shoes from cashier, she literally threw the shoes. Should take action against employees who treat customer like garbage and who thinks they own the store.

Ps: store got the right selection of shoes not the employees

Great store. I would like to give Sean a special mention because he went above and beyond to help me get my Diamondback MTB loaded up in the car, the front wheel needed to be detached to be able to fit in my car. Great work! Good customer service!

Worst Service of any store i think i have been to.when you need some one to open the change room, no one is on the floor. No one likes to answer the phone in the skate sharpening department. I think this will be the last time i take my ski equipment there. I also find them to be out of stock all the time. Never have my size in clothing.

Not much here, store a little disorganized but prices okay.very nice and helpful short haired woman working in the store.avoid the filipina cashier, she was new and rude.in general staff are not great and give blunt short responses like they want you away and out of the store.

I went there to window shop because they often have nice stuff. Surprisingly, it was 75% clothes, much more than before. I asked one person for Rollerblade and said there's a whole wall. When I couldn't find it i asked a second person, and they said there's not many left. The store was messy, but I think it was because they were putting out the new collection.
The price was reasonable for the Rollerblade, but I would have expected a discount of some sort since there wasn't another pair. But whatever, I bought them and my niece is happy.

I go there mainly for nutrition. Clif Shot.and other things. The staff is helpful as I saw a pait of Helly Hansen merino liner socks, so she went and checked the price. Not much in running shoes but they have a lot of clearance racks of clothing. If you"re looking for Nike clothing it's a well-stocked store. The location is good for me as in a huge shopping plaza with Walmart and others. I must like it because I've seen 3 times in 2 weeks. I don't usually give 5 stars but they seem to be good people who are actually interested in the customers

Store is 3/4 men's stuff, remainder is mostly kids with about 4 racks of women's items. Pretty pathetic really. Only ONE fitting room is open. Wait in line was almost an hour. There are three people at the register, but only one is checking out. So you wait outside, you wait for a fitting room and you wait to cash out. Suuuuch a waste of time.

Amazing Bike Repair Service! I had a flat tire on my bike and needed to get it repaired before the weekend. An associate named Josh was fantastic. He fixed my bike in less than an hour and went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience with Sport Check. If you need you bike fixed, ask for him. Thank you Sport Check.

Went to pick up my online order. Response time was super fast, they picked my two orders with in 30 minutes and sent me the pick up info email. Once I went to pick up the Items, the girl at the front was very hhelpful and friendly. I would definitely order from this location again.

How a store manages to be friendly and useless at the same time, I have no idea! Don’t bother ordering online and deliver to store, the store can’t be bothered to call you. Drive a little more West and check out the Laird store instead is my recommendation.

This is the closest location to me and I always look forward to coming here, however, the employees on the floor are very inattentive. Nobody asked me for help in sportswear and a couple employees were just chit- chatting amongst themselves. Will be going to a different location next time.

I received a gift back in March which was purchased online and the security tag was not removed which I did not notice until later since I wasnt able to use the gym bag due to gyms being closed from COVID. Because of COVID, there was no way to go in store to have it removed. It is now July and I went into this store to ask for the tag to be removed. I did not have the online order receipt or packing slip due to my friend deleting and throwing away. I understand that it is required but considering our current situation and the fact that 5 months have passed, I am not sure why anyone would expect someone to keep a packing slip or receipt from 5 months ago. After some time, I managed to get the order number from my friend and provided it to the store clerk. Upon checking order number, she said that the item was returned which made absolutely no sense since the item was clearly right in front of us. I advised the clerk that perhaps it is the system that is faulty. I later then found out that my friend had done a price match which is most likely why the system was showing the item as a return but my friend threw out the receipt. The clerk asked for the receipt for price match. Again, why is she asking for a paper receipt from 5 months ago especially after I just told her that my friend threw it out. Also, why keep a receipt when it is a done deal and you dont want to return? She later decided to discuss this with a coworker of hers and they were unable to problem solve and provide me with quality customer service. Her initial solution to me was to have my friend email Sportchek to ask for another online receipt. I am not sure if she realized how time consuming that would be and the fact that I was in store right now. She expected me to wait longer and make another unnecessary trip to store during COVID to get a security tag removed which should have been removed in the first place by Sportchek before shipping. I was very irritated at this point and more irritated at the fact that it took the store manager only 2 seconds to make a decision to remove the security tag after hearing the story. What was the point of all the back and forth? Complete and utter waste of time. During the time before I got the order # from my friend, I also tried phoning Fairview store location and the person that picked up the phone said that she needed to speak to manager and put me on hold. I was on hold for a whole 10 mins. She left me hanging, literally. She never got back to me and now I will no longer be shopping or recommending Sportchek to any of my friends or family. Thanks but no thanks.

Got there to return some of online purchase, so disappointed with their management! The cashier who handle the return is really nice but the manager tho. He even don’t know what to do and rather finding a solution he just said he can’t do anything about it. How you can be a manager if you don’t know what to do! You better step up your customer service!

Very Friendly People There to help you with what You Need And what they have. They should increase their stocks. Most of the things I was looking for was out of stock. However, someone quickly checked online and found what I need and asked me to order it online.

Brandon at the bike service center is amazing at customer service and is a top notch human being. Friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. Despite the insane day the entire store is having due to covid19, he is doing a tremendous job. Give the man a raise.

Went to Sport Chek for walking shoes with the wife & just wanted to express how pleased we were with Matthew in the Shoe Dept. He was extremely patient given that was the first day that the store opened & the line-up started to wrap around building. He took his time w/ my wife & made sure that the shoe she chose would be good for her feet. In sales, you don't come across a lot of people like Matthew who takes pride in his dept. & his job & it was quite refreshing to see. He is definitely management material & we will look forward in the near future to another purchase w/ him.

The employees here were very unprofessional. They were all huddled in a group and were chit chatting and swearing and being very loud and disruptive to the shoppers. This also made it hard to get ANY help on the floor. I was very annoyed and felt unvalued as a customer. Would not recommend this place, as they do not know how to run a professional work environment.

They list something in stock at the scarborough location (crocs shoes) in a couple sizes and colours, and others sold out. I take time off work, drive there, wait 10 minutes for a staff member only to be told that they do not carry the crocs brand in that location. Thanks for wasting my time, fuel and anticipation of getting some shoes at a great price.

The Service center for Skate Shoes on sport check Scarborough have racist staff, They don't have even manners and training how to deal with customer. I wish i had never visited this store. I believe they should hire people who have ethics to deal with customer.

I am leaving this store for the last time. I have once again driven to this store thinking I will get to try stuff on and look through a nice selection of merchandise. But I was wrong! There are no people working in this store, ever. I have been here on weekends, weekdays, evenings, mornings, it honestly doesn't matter.

I was trying to find tights for my daughter. The clothing sections are unorganized, messy and poorly laid out. On top of that there is no one working in those sections. When we finally found something suitable and went to try it on the change rooms were locked, typical for a store, but also typical would be to have someone nearby to unlock the change rooms. But there are no employees in the store so we left. I was going to grab a couple things for myself and my daughter but instead we threw them on a rack and walked out. I will just purchase these things from Amazon.

The selection at the store is fantastic however, it’s trumped by the fact the staff don’t care! The staff all talk to each other and ignore the costumer. I would rather order online from Amazon and wait 1 day then go shop there!

Dealing with the store was perfectly fine but once we had an issue with our online order it was a nightmare dealing with over the phone customer service. It seems like they don’t value the fact that we are giving them business and it was so hard for them to rectify my issue and once a solution was found it was to again waste more of my time and money and again make me feel like I owe them for trying to give them my business.

More training for online line staff and an efficient upgrade to your purchasing process and integration with store and online access

Good store with lots of options. Excellent customer service over and beyond given by Mr Abdul in Kid's shoe section.
Where as Mr David with his mic and headphone was not aware as to where the kid's joggers were and directed us to clothing section hence the star off.
Ms Emily at the cash counter greeted with smile and provided good customer service as well. Thanks guys keep up the good work. Will return again soon.

I would give a minus rating if I could! There were ample people working when I went and only 3 customers. I was told to find “Matthew” as if that’s my job and I’m supposed to know who this dude is? Useless staff with NO HELP or customer service- VERY POOR service, unexceptional, inexcusable and very disappointing!
Actually, I should thank you for this sad experience because I wouldn’t have gone somewhere else, found great customer service, found a better pair of shoes and paid a better price!

I tried to call in to see if an item was in stock but after being transferred, no one answered the phone and I ended up going in to see for myself. Yes they had the item but it was missing a piece and after informing the cashier. She gave me a dirty tone. The tags at the store are also wrong. This store need better management.

They've got good stuff, but not good service. I called them to see if they had the bike I wanted, and it by the time I realised that I'd been waiting for 20 minutes, I hung up. When I went there in person, they took forever to find the bike for me.
