I bought a pair of boots online and went to the pick up cabinets to get them today. It was so quick and convenient, just need to scan a barcode from the email. I asked the black girl at the cashier if i can open the package and try them on there to see if they fit, while i was starting to tear the bag open, she took a pair of scissors and helped me to cut it open. She's so smart and helpful! Want to praise her but don't know her name.

Had an amazing experience at this location. Jenna was so helpful and patient towards everyone. Highly recommend.

Went to there for sharping skates, I guess because of the weekend, there’s only one guy in the service department, extremely busy. Had to wait more than an hour, which is less than twenty minutes usually.

The department manager unfortunately was unable to help me - the customer service and website navigation is sub par.

During my recent visit to the Sport Chek at Woodbine location, I was blown away by the exceptional level of service and genuine attitude of the staff. As soon as I entered the store, I was warmly greeted by all the employees, and their friendly demeanor made me feel like I was entering a high-end hotel. Their smiles and happy faces in the morning really brightened up my day.

I was impressed by the extensive array of products available at this store, catering to all types of sports such as cycling, running, swimming and more. Their shoes, clothing, and accessories were of good quality and reasonably priced. Additionally, the store had well-organized sections, which made it easy for me to find the exact product I was looking for.

What impressed me the most during my visit to the store was the exceptional level of service provided by the staff, specifically "Calvin. " He went the extra mile by providing expert advice to help me find the products most suitable for my needs. He went above and beyond by actively searching for the size I needed and assisting me in finding the perfect fit, making my shopping experience effortless and stress-free.

Overall, I would highly recommend this sports Chek location to anyone in search of good-quality sports products and expert advice. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly and the selection of products was impressive. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced athlete, this store has everything you need to excel in your sport.

Had a wonderful experience here. Jett Miyazaki was extremely knowledgeable about the limited amount of casual shoes at the store. Although I did not purchase anything, he nearly persuaded me to buy a shoe I didn’t even want to buy! I will not be back to store, however Jett was awesome and deserves to be promoted!

Our go to Sport Chek. We've always had a good experience at this store. The staff are helpful and we've always been able to get the items we need.

I purchased a swimsuit online on November 21 for a week long swim class which began November 28. I ordered it under the premise that it would arrive in 5 days as stated on their website. It did not arrive by the 28 or even the 29 th so I was forced to purchase it elsewhere. The swimsuit actually arrived December 1 evening. It arrived just as the one week swim class had ended. The shipping package has not even been opened and I want to return it for a refund but unfortunately Sportchek refuses. Yes I understand it’s a swimsuit but you shipped it out late and ended up costing me twice the amount. The package is not even open. I have contacted customer service which took three days to respond and then did not even address the issue but instead gave me a tracking number which I didn’t ask for as I no longer needed the swimsuit. For anyone shopping please consider Decathlon or even Walmart which I have learned, obviously too late, will refund swimsuits. I wish Sportchek would provide better customer service to their customers like their competitors do.

I was there today to check a Quiksilver snow jacket for my son. Allen was very friendly, helpful and passionate of his work. He was looking in the front and also the back in the storage. He helped us finding the right size and also recommended of buying tech wash for the jacket. Thanks! Will come back!

Stopped in yesterday to buy 1 pair of shoes and ended up purchasing two.

Sales associate JJ was tremendously helpfully went above and beyond.

I will definitely return to try on those shoes he recommended again and probably purchase.

I went for men shoes and they don't have any sizes available. I also tried to grab toddler's cap and again nothing is available. I guess online is the better way.staff is professional and nice hence the stars

I ordered a bike online and I called the store to check if I can bring the bike to store for installation, and asked if I can book a time slot, the staff refused to do so on the phone, and asked me to take the bike to store then they will book the time for me, I questioned them that it doesn’t make sense to ask a customer to bring the bike without knowing if the store can do it, and have to keep finding stores which are available for the service. I came with my bike and the staff told me no space for them to keep the bike then I have to bring the bike to another store. What a terrible service!

Good store.if you want to shop without assistance that is. Was there today with my wife and no associate even looked at us. Shameful!

Such a bad experience here. Me and my friends got five snowboards to wax. The wax card expired at March 31. I brought 2 snowboards to store on March27 and 3 snowboards on March28. The technician said they don’t take any more snowboards on March28, so I had to bring the 3 snowboards to somewhere else. But the time I was picking up my 2 snowboards that should get wax done by April 1. They told me one of them still have not get waxed, and tell me to pick it up April 4. And it turns out to be, they are calling me at April 3, saying they are not doing any type of waxing, and tell me to pick up my board myself. First of all, if the card got expired by March31, why I cannot send my 3 boards to wax on March28? Second, if the store already took my 2 snowboards on March27, why they are not get wax on time? Third, if it cannot get wax, why not informing the customer in advance, so that they can find other store? Now the costumer has to take back a non waxed board and cannot find any other place to wax. I don’t understand whose responsibility for this. Really a bad experience here, not coming here anymore

Only a few of the personnel there are ready to help and only one or two are knowledgeable about the products and the promos. There is a clear lack of training on the products available in store, the promos and on how to handle customers. They have to constantly go check with other staff members about questions we had about the products and the promos. We were also mistreated by the manager on the night of the 25th of Feb when we went there and were asking to apply a promo we received by email. One staff on the floor told us that we shall get the promo at the counter. But when we went to the counter with the products the cashier refused to apply the promo stating we need to show proof which we had on email. We asked to call the manager. Using a very obnoxious tone the manager who came to assist the cashier, said she was doing us a favour applying the promo for us. After seeing this rude and inappropriate behaviour, we left and said we shall just purchase the things on sportschek.ca where we get the same promo. On the way out, we could hear the manager telling us to get out of the store in the rudest way. We have no words to express the unprofessionalism at that store.

The shop in the back that service skate, ski, snowboard and bikes etc has very limited capacity. The management doesn't seem to care about the issue.

This is my go-to Sportchek locations. Always have the items I want in stock. Service shop staff are so friendly - always get a perfect skate sharpen here. Thanks to all the staff, I really appreciate your hard work during the pandemic!

Can't believe such a large company has such imcomplete return policies. Rushi gave me an incredibly hard time when I wanted to return the product.

100% of the people in the 15% capacity store were all in line waiting to pay. The other people were in line waiting to get in. What a mess.

Went to this SportChek today to look for some ice skates. Asked one of the employees for help but it seemed as though he did not want to help. However, an employee named Mason helped us and he was amazing! Super helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Bought 2 pairs from him and am very impressed with the product he recommended.

This location has quite a bit of items in stock but I find the service to be rather slow at times (but they are quite busy too). I’ve had to wait over 30-45 minutes in line for check out one time because there was only one cashier and the customer she was with had some issues maybe with return or something. I was disappointed that they weren’t able to find someone else to help out to speed things up. Everyone in line were feeling frustrated and one lady even decided to leave without buying her stuff anymore.

Went by today during the VIP event and was extremely busy. But Devonte and Tyler (the Manager) were so patient and helped me find the right skis and boots. Amazing service! Won't find this kind of help online. Thanks guys

This sportschek isn't well organized when it comes to Covid19 safety enforcement. The floors are marked with arrows and hand sanitizer is available which is nice. However, there is zero enforcement as the store seems understaffed as people run all over. I did not feel that social distancing was present or enforced.

In terms of products, I was not helped by any staff but had both my girls try on hockey gear and soccer gear without anyone even approaching me to offer assistance. Overall, I was disappointed and am unlikely to return.

Very friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming staff. I came here to purchase some items with a promo code, notably a Theragun. Unfortunately the Theragun lineup was excluded from the promotion. I was still able to purchase everything else I came here along with the service being smooth and efficient!

Great place to shop for hockey equipment for my son. Staffs are more knowledge than Canadian Tire for sure.

I have only used their bike repair shop so I can only speak for that;

This location's bike repair shop is the best compared to other SportChek's bike repair shops I have used (Hillcrest Mall and Promenade Mall).

They have a large number of technicians and they also work on weekends, unlike Hillcrest and Promenade who have like 1 technician working on weekdays only. They finish their work well, and quickly, while I'd say some repairs I've gotten at the other two locations were a bit sloppy and a lot slower. Their technicians are also nice and communicate well. In addition, the prices are just a bit cheaper here compared to the other two locations.

The experience was good. First time buying proper workout shoes since I just used one of work shoes for working out. Recent foot pain told me other wise. The staff that was assisting me was patient and kind. Although I didn’t like being called buddy but other people have different ways of talking to others. She explained to me the difference in shoe soles and the difference in the mid sole being raised. Went out her way to get another pair to show me what’s it like.

The lady was so knowledgeable. She helped me get exactly what I needed. Comfy running shoes to help me lose weight. Nice lady with long hair in a pony tail. The store was clean. Both my items were on sale. I am happy I went.

Got a bike there, great experience, the guy helping with the bike was very good, knowledgeable and fast. Was very pleased!

I just purchased new training shoes an some other items at this location, what was noticeable the most was the professional service received from MITI. She was great, attentive, respectful and did not rush to help me find the best shoes for the cash. Store was also clean and tidy. MITI deserves an A+

Absolutely terrible customer service. I was trying to purchase a pair of shoes, the people there were just chatting so you have to wait until they finish to ask them for shoes. What makes it the best is one of the guy had his airpods on looking at you while telling you they don't have size. Not sure if they don't have size or they don't want to search. Either way, amazing once in a life time experience if you want to be abused.

First visit to this Sport Chek location and it went very smooth. Service was friendly, helpful and efficient. Good to see that they have a repair/ service shop here. Very good sporting store.

I needed to try on a pair of shoes but no help was around. Was waiting at bench next to the boots section for atleast 15 mins nobody came. I got up and looked around the store and nobody was to be seen. Was looking to make a purchase today but no help was around when needed to try on sizes. This happened more than once. Unfortunately this store is the closest to where I live. Otherwise I would go else where.

I was looking for some new shoes, and I had one of the best customer service. One of the workers were a big help and looked like he really cared about his work. Very happy with my experience!

I self served myself so can’t review customer service but found a good jacket for winter. They tend to have too much merchandise and you can’t move around because you bump into racks everywhere. So they care about volume more than retail atmospherics.

I went in this evening to buy some gear and had to wait 15 minutes at checkout. Was there a long line? No, I was first in line the entire time. As the cashiers appears to still be making no progress, I had to ask them myself if they could call someone over to open a third cashier. Eventually the store manager opened a third cash and I checked out. Throughout this whole time, no apology or even any acknowledgement of the long wait from neither the cashiers nor the store manager. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I've experienced long wait times at this store. Just very poor service all around. Otherwise, their price is fairly good relative to competitors. Good deals. Selection is somewhat mediocre.

It's a bit hard to get someone to help for a specific department. They usually have someone around the shoes, but outside of that, you'd have to wave down someone and wait a while to get some help. Overall, convenient location.

Dripped by to check the flash sale for baseball equipment, the stock level was atrocious. No inventory, no selection, clearly not interested in the baseball market.

Website is the worst shopping experience ever. Glitches out badly on mobile surfing. The store however is good.

What a terrible customer service experience. Girl at the cash was indifferent and didn't make eye contact, smile and had a bad tone. I told her that she should be nicer to customers and she didn't care about the feedback. I asked to speak to a manager and when I gave him the feedback, he was also totally indifferent and didn't care at all about the bad service. I guess this goes top down. Needless to say, I will be shopping at another SportChek. The one in Stouffville is amazing, has better selection and great service.

Customer service is ridiculously poor at this location. They love to take your money at the check out. But when you try to return something even with a receipt. They don't seem willing to do the return and they also seem annoyed at you. Please train your staff. All they do is gossip together on front cash. 3 people standing there and not helping out the one lone cashier until the line starts to form a snake. Absolutely unbelievable. So shop=sure and issue=go somewhere else.

The guy at the sharpening was very rude in the way he talks to customers. Ieill never go back to this location again.

Day before Black Friday & 1 cashier! Long line up & it seems no one cares. Put down my merchandise & left. Order something better online. No wonder brick & mortar stores are going out business. When the employees don’t care the business closes. Who complains? Employees when they’re out of work.
