Not exactly that great an experience, mostly because of the "Behaviour" of the Store Reps listing some glaring points: 1. Store doors were closed during open hours today. There are always two sets of doors. Who keeps both closed except those who don't want business? 2. Apart from one girl, rest of the sales rep there displayed the slightest bit of eagerness to engage in sales. ALL of them had a TOTALLY FRUSTRATED deadpan expression on their faces. No "your welcome" to thanks for anything. I mean they did their job as expected but their body language was like 'don't come to me again' 3. Same with the billing counter folks as well apart from one girl who pointed out that a size 9.5 and size 8 shoes were kept in the same box. So if we wouldn't have seen it, the sales reps who originally kept it didn't even bother to check what they kept in what. 4. Cleanliness - it was ok but seemed quite cramped, as if stock was hastily out together. Never thought I'd say this, but SportChek @ SquareOne Mall is way way more professional and neatly maintained than this one.
I guess they were Very eager to show me out rather than engage with a customer and get their business and it's my first time visiting the store, I've never ever visited the store before neither do I have any negativity towards them. Guess the store managers are happy with lackadaisical sales and maintaining dead weight employees rather than maintain a proper customer friendly sales environment.
Probably the worst Sport Chek I've ever been to. It seems like they're allergic to putting price tags on things. A whole wall of shoes and like 75% have no pricing info at all. Would not visit here again.
Shoutout the the general manager here for SUPERB customer service. I had a defective product (shoes) and didn’t have my receipt. Manager (female) took the time to look it up in the system to provide me a store credit so I could buy a new product.
5 stars. Highly recommend this Sport Chek location!
Went to return an item. Upon reaching the cashier, I said I am returning. The cashier didn't hear me and went ahead charged the amount to pay. I said that's for returning. (Again.) The cashier stared and said rudely, "You didn't say that. " What does it take to just edit the transaction or paying closer attention or just apologizing and not pointing fingers? I have returned many items at this location without any problems. Was going to stay back and look at their deals but needed to leave right away. Disappointed.
Poor variety on running shoes, at least for men. Some different brands and models but ALL of them look the same style. No nice classic Stan Smith or tennis like nike or adidas good old timers

I just want to start off by saying these guys always have what I need for all my sporting needs, and if they don't have it in stock, they can order for you as well. Usually take 2-3days which is great. A big shout out to Elora (like the Gorge) was super friendly and helpful, and is a great face of the company when it comes to customer service, keep up the great work!
Also I did want to add that another employee I believe her name was Vanessa, was fantastic as well, I had a promo code on my couldn't access it but she helped my locate it and recieve the discount from the code, as very friendly, and knowledgable as well.
This store has a great team allround, but these two seem to shine the most! Good job guys!
Service maybe deserves 4 stars mainly for the cashier and the gentleman that helped getting the product. I only gave 2 because, this big woman, prob their manager/supervisor uselessly came by the cashier as I was checking out, exchanging sizes and yelled "THAT'S NOT SPORTCHEK" on a under Armour item I went to exchange. Fool, do u sell SPORTCHEK brand? Or do y'all carry VARIETIES of brands. Do u know your products at all? When the cashier was already done entering the order# in the system to process. Just uncalled for & unprofessional.
Really bad service of one staff Azhar works at Ski installation department. Every time before came this location already called to make sure service available. But every time an Indian technician refused to install or wax my equipments for some “good” reasons. One day after, the other technician provided service without any concerns. Feel awful.
I tried to buy a coat but there were no price on the 2 coats I was interested in. Staff could not find the price, so we left. Update: Sport Chek contacted me to address my concern. The manager and a staff member helped me to buy a new coat! Got the coat within 3 days - I'm very happy!
The staff is so welcoming right as you walk in. I had an amazing experience with Kendra, she was incredibly helpful and patient. I had a good experience with Isabella, she was very helpful on setting up an online shipment to my home and getting me started with their points program. Overall a great experience.
Obviously staff members need to be trained more in that branch, poor customer/sales service. I was there today 1: 45 PM sales team left for lunch leaving customers unattended, the cashier tried to get someone to assist me, waited for 10 minutes no one showed up, I had to drop my items and leave.
Helpful and friendly staff, plenty of products. The store is clean and everything was easy to find. Not as high tech as some other sport check stores though
Hi, I recently ordered online to curbside pickup and I will put them a very good review because they had my order ready within 2 hours, I ordered at 6 am and I got an order ready email by 8 am, also the lady that gave me my order at the store was really helpful.
Drove over an hour to pick up a pair of rollerblades. Got home to see only one was in the box. Manager was rude and couldn't care less. Poorly managed operation would not recommend and make sure you check order right when you pick it up.
Purchased a pair of shoes curbside pickup, upon opening them they was a fairly large noticeable scuff mark on the top of the shoe. When I called to find out what my options were the manager and associate I talked to were both very rude and offered no assistance in rectifying the matter. Ended up contacting another store nearby that was extremely helpful and kind unlike the staff I dealt with here.
I ordered curbside pick up and went there and checked in, and after waiting for 6 minutes in the car for them to acknowledge, no one did so of course had to walk in only to see 5 employees standing around doing nothing. The lady that helped me said they have 3 minutes to acknowledge and was apologetic, but I really didn't appreciate having to wait that long or having to go in the store, and stand around waiting for 5 minutes for her to get it, especially because I was in a rush. Sport Chek really needs to step up their customer service as this wasn't the 1st bad experience I've had there
Poor selection of everything. No sizes. You go there, and they have 3 size S and one size 3xl jackets. Or the other way, only Large. Poorly run company.
Do not buy on line with this Sportschek, to pick-up in store, if you really want the item. It's a total joke, if someone walks in the store before your order is picked they get it not you! Even though the item was in stock the online staff did not pull the item and my order was cancelled. Quote of the day ". Well its boxing day and we were busy" (Order was made the previous day) Hey here's a novel item, pull your online orders before you open the doors. No wonder Costco and Amazon are putting box stores like this out of business!
This is the second sportschek I've been to where the posted hours were incorrect. Sort it out please! Not a happy customer; wasted time driving in from Burlington for this
My boyfriend and I shop at Sport Chek fairly regularly, the staff are always great and helpful at all locations we visit. Today when visiting this location the service was TERRIBLE. I came in at 3: 30pm looking and the store was absolutely dead. Apparently its a staff party and no one works if the place is not busy, not even to help customers needing actual help. I was looking at shoes while 4 staff members stood about 15 feet from me laughing and talking absurdly loud. One finally came over after about 5 minutes of me looking and I asked for sizes in 2 shoes. After this he walks back over and continues to talk with the other staff members right in front of me, until I looked right at him and he obviously felt awkward and went to get my shoes. After coming back with only one of the shoes I asked for he begins speaking with them again before bringing the shoe over to me! And then after I open the box its the wrong shoe. I literally left and went to the Sport Chek in Oakville as I actually require assistance finding a shoe to purchase today for a long show I have this this weekend starting at 8am tomorrow downtown. Wow.never returning to this location. Terrible service! Wasting my time.
They don't answer their phones. Why imply that they do by providing numbers they don't answer. Really ticks me off. This is an issue of "lack of staffing". One person doing cash and answering phones. Not viable.
Went on a Monday night about 630pm. Looking to buy skis and boots for my kids. Asked 2x for help, both times told they were paging someone. Stood around for 20 minutes waiting, even though the store was almost empty. Left empty handed.
Just had an amazingly efficient and effective experience at this location. The lovely Abigale helped me figure out exactly what size I was and when she realized they didn't have that item in stock in my size she simply sent me an email with the appropriate link attached. I'll definitely be a returning customer.
Limited variety of merchandise, nobody is ever around to help. Store is dead. Cashier not the friendliest. Not willing to help. Gives out attitude like mistakes is not their problem. Staff doesn't look like they want to be there. Maybe should re-train staff to put a smile on their faces. It's free.
Tried to reach bike repair for part availability. They kept me on hold for full 5 minutes at which time I hanged up and called SC at Oakville Mall. They answered within 30 seconds. And addressed all my questions within the minute.

I have been to the store several times and I have to say, the staff are very attentive and helpful. While other stores are focussing on cost only, SportChek is excelling in customer service while competing with the online economy. I went in to buy a snorkelling set for my son. I got a great price (okay it was on clearance) and the staff were actually able to recommend something. While I buy online as well, the ability to physically view item like snorkelling gear is essential. On top of that SportChek sells GT brand bicycles. These I would consider to be one of the best entry level bicycle brands. I hope the store never closes. I am definitely going back since I need to buy badminton rackets soon.
Employees very well mannered and polite, they help out alot. Bought some cool stuff but didn't like how managers attitude is towards the workers.manager seemed very rude, (Alicia).
Vanessa was a horrible person at heart, undid all the great service that was provided by the whole sales team. Sorry that all the hard work done by the rest of you was undone by 1 person at cash.smh.
Was told by the Oakville store they had 5 Nike white size sm Volleyball kneepads. Arrived to find they had o e pack and I was seeking 2. They couldn't find a box. And the cashier said that the on-line system is never up to date. So very disappointed
