Just wanted to thank BJ for his great service! We went there to get a pair of shoes for my son’s birthday. BJ was very efficient and quick in his service. When we finally decided to get a pair, he couldn’t find a complete pair for the size that we wanted because the other half was missing. Knowing that I wanted the shoes so badly today because it was for my son’s birthday, he was very generous to compensate us with a gift card and direct us to another store to get the shoes. So thank you once again BJ!

Don't buy anything from this shop, I bought Airpods Pro 2 gen and when I tried to connected them with my Iphone it showed me the name of some different person. When I investigated further from the apple support they told that this product is a used product. They tamper the products and than sell them, might me selling other fakes thing too. Highly disappointed with them, was a customer for 2 years, but this incident broke my trust.

Was looking for a pair of Asics Novablast 3s, which seem to be out of stock everywhere else. SportChek Yorkdale not only had them, but their employee Tobi was super friendly, and helpful in making sure I had the right size.

Also Andra the cashier was pleasant and helped when I was curious about their electrolyte tablets.

Would totally shop here again.

The name of the store is associated with sports. But when I asked about swimming trunks and a swimsuit, it turned out to be "out of season". What could be the season for the pool? Yes, November, but they do not know that people can not only swim in the pool, but also travel to warm countries.

Stood in shoe section for 20 minutes waiting for an employee to help find sizes as the scanner wasn’t working. 3 employees were behind me in a circle just having a casual conversation. No one came up to help. I left without anyone offering to help and not being able to try on any shoes. If you’re looking for shoes I’d suggest go to another store or another location. Useless staff

This place appears so poorly staffed. Experience at other sportchek stores is like night and day. Good luck trying to find an employee to check stock or ask product questions. They're busy with stocking or answering the phone. If you see one, they avoid eye contact and disappear quickly. Lower level is stuffed with clothes and disorganized. So odd.

Cashiers working next to the kids' shoes counter showed meager hospitality, impolite and arrogant attitude.

Each time I suffer from disadvantage and unfair treatment when I was lining up at that cashier counter. As there were no signals showing where should customers lining up, so I choose to line up at the right corner the first time, then a lady came to the left corner to line up. However, when it was my turn to be served, the cashier require me standing behind that lady, because the left hand side should be the beginning. I complained that there is no signal showing the left hand side should be the beginning, but the cashier claimed that this is their company's rule.

OK, then I lined up to the left hand side each time. Unfortunately, yesterday when I lining up at the left hand side as usual, the left hand side cashier Dennetta required me standing to the right hand side until it was my turn to be served, she said that there has been a line forming already. Ok, I follow her instruction, although I think it was not fair to me, because when I approached the counter, there was only one woman standing on the right hand side, as their company's rule, the cashier should ask the right hand side woman move to my side lining up after me, right? When it's my turn to be served, I expressed that I want to complain to their manager. However, the cashier Tatiyana showed me a scowl look immediately when she heard that I want to complain. Excessively, the manager Mon even showed me a scowl look as well when he come out from his office meeting me. In the beginning, I just talking about my unfair treatment those times I suffer from their cashiers, sadly, he didn't only apologize to me, but also keep explaining that they didn't make any mistake. I requested his apologize, but he replied that he didn't feel so. I was disappointed with his attitude as a manager, because he didn't care about my feeling at all, and he even refused to listen to complains.
Mon even roll his eyes at me and keep showing me the scowl look in front of me. How arrogant he was!
As to the Denetta, I wonder why she didn't tell me to move to the right hand side as soon as she saw me approaching her counter. Obviously, she didn't care about me, and she just simply to allow me taking the disadvantage in terms of the lining up issue. When I requested her apologize to me because she didn't show hospitality on me, she refused! How arrogant she was!

I purchased bike for my son last Wednesday but bike is to be assembled and be ready by Saturday at 2100. Last minute they called me on Saturday at 1800 only to informed that bike is not ready to pick up. They told me it will be ready today (Tuesday) but unfortunately it's not ready and NOBODY CALLED me that bike it not yet in store. It's a waste of time! The worst part, my son was expecting his BIKE today. Never ever purchase on this store.

Wanted to buy a pair of roller blades, no staff around to get them for me from the back. Final ran into two staff but they were busy stocking which is good but the point of stocking is to sell items to customers. One looked like a manager. She told me she would page someone, nobody ever came and I walked around and final left. Went to Sporting life where as soon as I walk in they ask if I need help. Not what I expected from a store at Yorkdale, needs improvement with regards to customer service.

The cashier Lolita was very friendly and professional. She was able to help with my returns and also pointed me in the right direction with someone else that could assist me to find exactly what I wanted.

Both the employee on the floor that helped me find what I wanted and the cashier were really helpful making my trip fast and efficient. Good customer service.

We were just at the Yorkdale location and had very bad experience with Liz (Cash Lead). Liz asked us to insert our card and told us the transaction won’t go through and it was only to check if the order could be placed with the triangle 24 month plan. And to our utter surprise we were told that they placed an order for us without our express consent for it.

In Canada, placing on order without consent is a serious offence and could have serious ramifications for Sportchek. It was Liz’s behaviour and conduct after making this blunder of a mistake which was even more problematic. She was absolutely unapologetic about it and simply just handed us a receipt told us that now we will have to come back to the store to return the order or call customer service number which is also unreachable right now. We will have to spend so much of our valuable time because of this mistake by Liz. Mistakes like this can happen, but how a company and its representatives deal with customers after a mistake really tell you their level of commitment to customer service. Liz should be made to go though a refresher customer training session and in the meantime even though amount was not big I will seek whatever recourse available against Sportchek for placing an order without our consent.

Went into the store to get an under garment for my grandson who plays hockey when I went in a young man was helping another customer he was nice, so he said to me go up front and someone else can help me when I went up the front the young man said we dont have anyfor girls presuming he was a girl I had to tell him he is a boy, the guy did not even apologize so I said to him he is a boy and I want it for my older grandson all he said to me was go and look on the shelf he was rude and to see I buy all his hockey stuff at your store. I felt hurt because he did not even make an effort to help me.

Amazing staff. Helpful and lots of staff available to assist you. Huge selection. Skate sharpening is fantastic. They help explain how the do the sharpening and what you are looking for in the type of cut. Would recommend for hockey gear and skate sharpening.

Came here for a pick up order today and got a pair of goggles. When I got back home and opened them, I could tell right away that they were used. The insides of the lenses were scratched, they didn’t have protective seals on them, and the 4 alternate nose pieces that were supposed to come with the goggles were missing. Looks like I’m going to have to waste another hour going back to the store and getting a replacement.

There should be quality control going on when products are returned. Until then, I guess it falls on the customer to check that we’re not being sold used products for the price of new ones.

Shoe guys, clearly need to be fired. 3 of them just standing around chatting the other day. Was trying to check out the shoes behind 2 of them. And said excuse me. Not even a word, they just walked 10 feet away and continued chatting about the weekend. Also seen with other customers. Dont ask if customers need help. Will wait for someone to ask for a size. Useless workers. Will not be returning.

Great customer service by a Service Technician. He explained our gears' conditions well and recommended proper service. He was polite and very helpful. The other staff was very nice too. I will be back for the next maintenance although this shop is not the closest one from my place.

Purchased an $800 Theragun Elite from this location. Spoke with a rep at the store yesterday that told me there would be no issue returning it. Drove to the store today and was told they recently implemented a new policy not to take back open electronics. Odd that they just implemented this, even stranger that Theragun itself has no such return policy issues. The manager itself was pretty dry and offered no sympathy whatsoever despite one of her employees speaking to me at the phone and confirming it would be ok to come in. That’s why I called to begin with after all. Save yourself the hassle and make your purchases online or at another store altogether. BAD SERVICE

Terrible experience with cashier 9279 Catherine. It felt like she was purposely trying to antagonize me. March 5th 2020 5: 01pm

She was convinced the shoe I was purchasing was not eligible for a discount. (If a shoe price ends in. 00 it’s not eligible for the discount.) the price was $104.99.

I explained this to her while the manager was on route. She did not acknowledge what I said or explain.

The store manager arrived and said “ya it’s fine. ” That should have been the end of it!

Catherine then had the shoe stock employees double check (they said it’s fine) then she called the manager over again who took the shoes to the back to do some checks. The manager said, again. “ya they are fine”

I nearly walked out of the store because this was an unnecessary waste of time. Catherine, can I buy the shoes now? Do you need to triple check with a district manager? Do you need to email head office? I couldn’t understand why this wasteyute Catherine had so many unnecessary f’s to give for a minimum wage job.

I will never shop at sport check or the Canadian tire brand again!

I went to a sportschek downtown beside scotiabank more people comin in but they always have stock of raptors merch and maple but here a big store but almost everything is out of stock maybe because they have the online shipping thing that they rely more on that if only my pricing card will work online, im disappointed.

On Dec. 28 I asked one of the staff for help finding a rose gold nike hat for kids. The answer I got is if its not in the hat section by the escalators check the nike section, I told him its for kids so he tells me to go downstairs and check. So we searched every and couldn't find i. My husband told me to ask another staff member and good thing i did. Apparently the hat I was looking for was in the back and she found it. Wish i got the guys name so you guys can train him on how to search for items. The girl that helped me was Lucia (i hope the spelling is correct) she's the only reason i even gave this place 3 stars otherwise i wouldn't even give any!

Been there twice but had awful experience with the cashiers. Bought 2 pack of socks as it said 50% on the 2nd but the cashier "forgot" it and needed me to remind her, she even gave a doubtful look. The next time i came back, told the cashier i did the survey as it offer 10% discount, but she ask for my email tho the survey asked nothing about dat, tho i had my receipt and survey code with me, not very helpful i must say.

I ordered the M Ripzone coco pants online it was too small for my daughter, i call this location at 7.50 pm on Dec 2 2019 to ask if they could put the L on hold, someone pick up the phone and told me to hold on, i was on hold for an hour waiting, finally someone answer the phone I then mentioned that I was on hold for an hour I was expecting her to say am sorry for the wait, all she said was am aware that you were on hold for an hour, then she told me to hold on again for her to get someone else to take the call, very bad customer service.

Went and asked for a shoe size and the guy working went to the back and didnt appear for 30 minutes. Asked his co-worker to go in and look for him and he disappeared too. A third employee went in to check for me and said that he couldn't find them and that whoever was looking for it should be out soon. The 2nd employee who disappeared came out and said the 1st employee will be out shortly with the shoes. Waited another 1 0 minutes (40 minutes total) and nobody came out of that room. Beware, this sport chek has a black hole in their inventory storage.

Long story short: asked for shoe size, waited 40 minutes. Went to little burgundy and bought the same shoes in less than 5 minutes. Expect absolute incompetence here.

I brought skis and ppl there just b like: imma come bac one sec. AND THEY NEVER CAME! I went here looking for downhill skiing pants and jacket. The sales person was very helpful and informative. She showed me numerous pieces of clothing and was always close by if I had any questions.

My only complaint is the lack of inventory. I am a large for most items of clothing and finding said size was extremely difficult.

There is a lot of things that you could like sports equipement, apparel and gadgets that you could use in sports sometimes you can get a really good deal. On busy hours there is a line on the fitting room. They carry almost all of the known brands.

It begins as I walk in the manager is yelling at a family for whatever reason when the proper thing to do is to walk up to that family not yell across the store. Then I asked this manager about a price check and he this overweight that's the best to describe him since I didn't see a name tag on him looks at me with this angry face says go ask a sales associate working the floor.
