How Do Muslims View Death?

Muslims believe that the present life is a trial in preparation for the next realm of existence. When a Muslim dies, he or she is washed and wrapped in a clean, white cloth (usually by a family member) and buried after a special prayer, preferably the same day. Muslims consider this a final service that they can do for their relatives and an opportunity to remember that their own existence here on earth is brief.

The question of whether there is life after death does not fall under the jurisdiction of science, as science is concerned only with classification and analysis of sense data. Moreover, man has been busy with scientific inquiries and research, in the modern sense of the term, only for the last few centuries, while he has been familiar with the concept of life after death since time immemorial.
All the Prophets of God called their people to worship God and to believe in life after death. They laid so much emphasis on the belief in life after death that even a slight doubt in it meant denying God and made all other beliefs meaningless.

The very fact that all the Prophets of God have dealt with this metaphysical question of life after death so confidently and so uniformly - the gap between their ages in some cases, being thousands of years - goes to prove that the source of their knowledge of life after death as proclaimed by them all, was the same, i.e. Divine revelation.

The interview process was a drama. I applied on the organisation website and got called in, I travelled from Toronto to Ottawa, which is 500 kms only to get to know at the spot that the interviewing manager was on a vacation.
Had a interview with one of the acting managers nonetheless and that went well. Honestly, that went really well.
However the problem was what happened after, they went silent post that despite promising that they would let me know.
Called again a week later, the manager had the slight decency to say “unfortunately we are moving in another direction”.
I had a solid work experience at Sportchek before, and it’s not as if I was faking out my previous experiences.
I wonder why the manager agreed to the interview if he decided to go on a vacation right before. I spent money, I spent time and I spent some anxious hours over a place that didn’t show an ounce of professionalism.
It’s a great sign probably because at least I know how they treat their candidates.
I am angry, and rightfully so. It’s a shame.

Appalled by the customer service I experienced today. I don’t write reviews often but I’ve never felt so mad leaving a store. The cashier (Jenny on receipt/ black girl) was so rude and unhelpful when I asked whether an item was on sale and if I could get a bag, I’ve never met a more condescending person working cash and interacting with customers. Won’t be shopping at this location anymore.

Had the pleasure of receiving outstanding help from Sadaf while shopping for cycling pants at SportChek.

First off, I want to say sale rep Maya was great and awesome. My main issue is with the black employee working in the back with the shoes. I'm trying to purchase but he's too busy wanting to chat with his work colleagues. Who the taught him to walk away from customers? Absolute garbage service - it wasn't even busy at all.

Absolutely terrible. Took my bike there for a quick fix, it stayed for a little under a month and I was charged $56 for a “tune-up” which left my bike in a worse condition than it was initially in. THEY DO NOTHING.

Probably one of the best services I’ve received! Purchased a bike not too long ago and dropped it off with the technician Dan and he fixed my bike fast and he was super respectful and caring! Told all my friends to go to the shop! Thanks Again!

The staff was friendly and helpful, and they had a wide selection of brands and styles to choose from. I found the perfect pair of shoes for my needs and they fit me well. The price was reasonable and the quality was excellent. I would definitely recommend Sportchek to anyone looking for shoes!

Exceptional service today! I came in for a return. Seemed like the store was short staffed, the wait time was longer than expected. However, the manager on duty Keon took his time and help me with my return and helped me find what I was looking for. He is has an amazing product knowledge, I left confident with my purchases and will be coming back again! It’s always hard to find great customer service in those corporate stores! Thank you Keon!

We bought skies, hockey equipment and clothing from this store. The staff and service is absolutely incredible. Especially Yassar. He was extremely knowledgeable and went out if his way to help us even when the store was busy. His customer service skills are second to none and we will continue to buy all of our sporting supplies from this store. Thanks so much for all your hard work and help Yassar!

I am so disatisfied with the service of this location. It seems none of the staff know what they're doing. No sense of product knowledge. I couldn't even redeem my triangle points because I didn't have the credit card. My question is, what on earth is the point of having a points card then?

Lots of problems with this store in St Laurent. I am giving the extra star because the floor staff are nice and courteous. I went to buy boxing gloves. Products were mislabeled, some were 2 others were 2R, I asked the difference but nobody knew. One was cheaper than the other and the gloves looked different. Manager said one was a newer model. After speaking with Everlast, they are the same model so the one in the store was just mislabeled. Manager just didn't know what he was talking about. Worst thing is that they re-package gloves that were brought back. They claim to inspect them but I had to bring back two sets of gloves because they were clearly used, and then brought back. How can you put that stuff back on the wall to sell as new? Do they think people won't notice? Inventory and labelling of items is just bad. Website says items are in stock but when I come into the store they can't find them. Just a disaster.

Gentleman by the name of Avery was top shelf on service. We got lucky, both rollerblades and shoes were on sale and the FINAL LAST sizing. That rarely ever happens, but sometimes we get lucky!

Due to the promotional sale, what we purchased ended up being an amazing deal, truthfully would have been depressed to know of this and pass on it; I’d of truly moped around knowing that we’d be receiving 50% off retail pricing. Just ended up working out that way. Couldn’t believe how timing just worked out.

Regardless of the deal we got, generally everyone was busy, (cleaning up the store, re-inventorying items picked up and placed elsewhere). Good environment in the store, happy vibe to it.

Definitely inconvenient to travel to this location, versus the one 5 minutes from me, albeit the trade off is absolutely phenomenal, and overwhelming sense of welcome and appreciation from Avery. Top shelf dude.thanks again
For your professionalism, regard for health and safety while next to insisting on trying the equipment that we were thinking of purchasing. Threw a helmet at my wife, and welcomed her to the whole floor of the store. Feeling valued and appreciated as patrons, listen. Any company can sell things, and bodies can always be located to fill positions.

The cashier that time was just not present, not anything like

Huge shout out to Derrick in hard goods who helped me expedite an online order today. Had a rush order last night for my son who busted his shoulder pads in a hockey game and has a practice this afternoon. Ordered at 11pm and called the store at 10am this morning and Derrick spend 15 minutes searching the store for the item and asked the warehouse to expedite the online order so it was ready for pick up. This guy deserves a raise!

I live abroad and while on a visit back home stopped by to purchase a few things. The pair of shoes that I bought, while being checked at the front desk, didn't match in size. I wrote to the customer service and was put in touch with a representative who coordinated a return plan and reimbursement for the shoes. Months later, a family member who came over for a visit and returned to Ottawa, was able to return the pair of shoes and I promptly received a full refund, without a hitch. Very good customer service and extremely understanding support team.

Visited the store during the massive clearance sale … the staff were overwhelmed yet still friendly!
However, the selection wasn’t great.

Today I bought an exercise ball and when I came home to open it turns out that it was previously used and completely busted.

So many workers laying around, handful of customers waiting at the cash with just one cashier. Why have two lines and cash slots if you don’t plan on having 2 cashiers at a time? Took me 30 minutes to pick up an item. There were just 3 customers ahead of me.

The personnels are very helpful, cordial and friendly especially in providing you with advice on any gear you may be looking at getting.

I don't usually shop here, but my daughter had a $75 gift card. I was shocked at the prices and the selection of items is just mediocre.

I had my skis tuned up and they are quite old. The bindings were too old for a tuneup but they checked them and were able to give me cautionary advice that they may give way, which I appreciated. Friendly and helpful.

How does a store this big require hide and seek to find an employee? Seems as if everyone is hiding and no help can be provided without hunting down someone.

The only reason I am returning to this store is to pick-up an in store item that wasn't available.

Checkout times weren't impressive as well.

Bought a new bike at another Sport Chek location, the front wheel had to be taken off to fit in the car. When I got home I couldnt get the breaks attached, I was unsure and frustrated. (I wanted it done properly)
I called this Sport Chek and Lucas answered EVERY question I had. He even sent me a video to make sure everything was attached properly and safely! Very nice, polite, and thoughtful. He even asked if I need to be shown anything else. EXCELLENT customer service, very happy and reassured that the front wheel and brakes were attached properly and safely.

I had ordered a Giro Fixture helmet online that I found on sale and I got sent a different helmet (pictures attached). I went to the store to make a claim and they tried to give me my money back but I wanted the helmet, not the money (it was a good deal). They told me that the helmet was sold put and that they only had the 2019 version that was more expensive. They ended up giving me my money back because they couldnt give me the updated version of the helmet for the price I had paid. Now I have to be on the lookout for a good deal on a helmet. Not planning on getting it from Sport Check though.

Amazing customer service. I've been coming to this store for years and it has been the best customer service I've gotten at a retail store period.

This location is pretty small compared to a typical Sport Chek and is limited to mostly athletic gear for men. The women's section has a larger selection of casual and lifestyle clothing but there is little to none for men. Shoe selection is decent but the shoe wall is packed and hard to shop.

Decent Sportchek. I wish they carried more NFL stuff. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. I've never had any issues shopping at this location in over 5 years. Keep up the good work.

Excellent customer service over the phone, very helpful, unlike Figure 8 Skate Specialists, who seemed rather standoffish/hostile when I called. Also worth mentioning: I emailed them (Sport Chek) a few weeks ago and they were very accommodating. I will be shopping at Sport Chek more often now that I've actually dealt with them. Too bad Figure 8 Skate Specialists lost a potential customer.

I bought a pair of snowboard bindings close to the end of last season and I used it once last season. This season, I went up to the hills 3 times and on each occasion, something broke on my bindings.

On the third occasion, I went to the St-Laurent store and asked Andrew at the service shop that was inspecting my board if I can replace the bindings, being frustrated that I’m stopping short my day at the hill due to equipment issues. He called Benoit, the Assistant Manager, I explained my issue and right away, asked me what type of bindings I want, the same or a different type. Wow, I was caught off guard, was so happy with the customer service, I purchased a different set of bindings and paid the difference. I really did not want the same binding, since I had issues with them.

I was really impressed with Benoit and customer service I received, especially not having me to go to the manufacture for the warranty.

I will be back and will tell my friends and family about my great experience!

Quick and easy, had to return a gift that was bought at a different Store and it was accepted without issue. Very friendly service today.in and out within minutes:)

Why they only have two cashiers working in the whole store when the mall is packed with holiday shoppers is beyond me!

Waited 15 minutes in line for an exchange. They turned an exchange into a two step process, and made me go to the back of the line for the second part of the exchange. So I had to spend another 10 minutes in line just to fulfill the transaction that I had already waited in line for.

Great looking store at one of the anchor locations in the mall. The items are organized well and they have decent sales. The variety of products they have is great especially because of the large size of the store.
