Benjamin was a real one. He helped us pick a string and was very patient. On the other hand the manager made us wait ten minutes just for him to tell us he’s too “busy”. We then saw him texting and laughing on his phone as we were cashing out.

The manager at Mapleview mall was so rude and disrespectful. We were waiting 10 mins for him to come answer a simple question but he comes back and says “he doesn’t have time”. We leave, and we see him on his personal phone texting and laughing. Who hired this guy as a manger?

Fantastic place for literally anything you need?

I was assisted by Maureen and she helped me throughout my adventure. Thanks again and do expect me more!

You gotta check this place out

Not really much of a selection of actual hardgoods. Basically a clothing store. Pretty disappointing and not like other Sporting Life stores I've been to.

Edit at end: Thanks to the responsible cashiers trying their best with the busy store. Visited three times already since the opening. Several staff helped me each time, and many thanks to them. Karen was so pleasant to deal with at the cash, twice. A girl in a hat whose name I don't recall (sorry) helped me each time I came in looking for a product. First it was ski boots, next time it was sparring gloves (didn't seem to have any) and next was finding an outer layer. I also want to thank the guy (sorry, I also forget your name) with the brown hair in the running shoe section who was professional when we asked for pricing and other specs.
Only complaint really was the selection they have. It is really limited compared to some of the classic Sporting Life stores. Where are the bicycles? Keep it up though. Really refreshing to see a competitor for MEC and such enter this side of Ontario.

Secondly, there seem to be some bad reviews due to customers not having any sympathy or understanding of what it is like to work in retail, especially in stores that sell more expensive products. The low star reviews on here are from people who are expecting Decathlon-esque prices, but these people do not know anything about quality, as they want a quality coat or gear for $20, which just does NOT exist, sweeties. Have some respect, stop trashing up the store, and be grateful that Burlington even built a Sporting Life here for you. They are training many new staff and owners so your patience would be appreciated instead of full out judging the pricing/how tidy the store looked (customers on busy days swamp the store, and many of them leave things out of place because common decency isn't so common anymore).
So here's a tip for you if you have something sad to say about pricing, products, or overall service: this store has had to outsource support from across Ontario because not enough people want to work here. If you think you know how to run a store, operate thousands of products, and want to lose wages due to crying over how expensive something is, then do yourself a favour and go shop at that ikea tier Decathlon or even sport chek. Those places are messier and even less classy, but since you want "cheap stuff", go there. You know nothing about sports, let alone, outerwear. I support Sporting Life and will continue to do so.

While this is a smaller location compared to the older locations, it still sells high quality goods. I wish they had bikes and more sporting equipment available all year round, but this was not prioritized here unfortunately. Edit: After my third visit, each time I met more great team members. The clothing staff were also great and friendly. Let's hope it stays that way

Edit: came back to see if a specific item was back in stock and it wasn't so kinda disappointed maybe they cannot keep up with demand.

So excited to see Sporting Life open in Burlington. Always great quality & this location has amazing customer service (sorry but not sorry Sherway SL). Looking for products when the store and staff are new but they walk with you to show you where brands you ask for are located. Cashiers are friendly, smiling and very pleasant (sorry but not sorry Sherway SL).

Boasted a big sale for their grand opening, you would think there would be big sales like they quoted.not a chance. Walked in and out in less than 3 minutes flat. It's nothing more than a glorified Sport Check. If you want anything to do with a sporting life, I suggest you go downstairs and check out Decathlon which is far superior.

If you’re looking for a one stop shop for all your sporting goods and lifestyle apparel, this is the place. Excellent customer service all around. Knowledgeable staff and welcoming atmosphere! Glad that Burlington finally has a store like this!

Very big store with a lot of variety. The store is brand new and it has a grand opening sale going-on! It is located inside the mall, so lots of parking spaces. We came recently for some snowboarding and ski equipment, the prices were very good for some beginner equipment.

So glad Sporting Life is finally here and I don’t have to go to Sherway anymore. They have a large selection of luxury items and staff are always so kind.
