We were a group of 7 and went there on mid week after 9pm, so there was no rush. So the atmosphere was really perfect for us. The spinach and artichoke dip was really awesome. The waitress even offered the refils for pita bread multiple times. We had the puplic house burger, and the bun and patty were good, but it felt like if it was a bit more saucy, it would have been perfect. We had an amazing offer for wings where they offered one wing for. 99 $. We went there on a Wednesday. Wings were just perfect and tasty.

We had a great experience here! Awesome food, service, and drinks. They have a selection of mocktails which I really appreciate.

There is something extra special about the service and food here. Tonight, I went to Squires Public House for dinner with my two parents and daughter. The oh meal was as wonderful as it usually is, and we were treated to extra attention from Kim, our server tonight. From Kim’s sense of humour to her special treatment of my daughter, to the scrumptious food; the night turned from ordinary to spectacular.

The manager came to check our table frequently, confirmed that everything was perfect and that we felt meticulously cared for. We were able to enjoy each other’s company while Kim and staff took care of the details.

The staff takes the time to smile, introduce themselves and we were greeted like family. The service is so personal, so caring and so welcoming that one feels one is part of the caring team there. The atmosphere is tastefully festive for the start of the Christmas season.

I highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding to cap off the meal.

We will be making this a regular family meetup place!

This place feels like a authentic English pub. I will make sure my the cricket team of Burlington visit here as well feel like home being here.

Lu ch menu is too cut down. Only 2 items on list I wld choose. So 2 visits Im limited. Ill maybe choose Pipers.

Food was okay. A bit pricey for what we got. French onion soup was not what was expected. Should have been explained differently. Would go back but not on a regular basis due to price. Feels like a Kelseys but more expensive. Portions sizes for same item do vary in size

The atmosphere is an old English Scottish feel with decor of British and Old England. The background music is great. The restaurant is rather large and has a straight bar at the front. Service was quick. Food taste great and menu offers a good selection.
Recommendation

Sat on a booth in the bar area, seat was soaked with some sort of liquid. Asked the server for a towel to sit on to soak up my wet pants. When I realized she had forgotten about me, I went and asked her for a towel and she handed me a wet rag, I took some napkins and sat on those. Used the bathroom, no toilet paper! Used to come here quite often before covid, since then, downhill. Trying to type this while fighting off the fruit flys. Very disappointed in the environment. Ordered haddock and chips, much smaller fish portion and. Won't be back and spreading the word.

Just stopped in for a quick visit with friends. Ordered keylime pie and a fancy coffee. The pie was way too sweet, I only had the first bite and told the waitress I didn't like it but they did not take it off the bill. The service was fast and the waitress was nice but she left dirty dishes on our table the whole time we were there. I would not recommend the dessert or the specialty coffees, not good for the price. Did not eat a meal there so cannot comment.

Waited 40 minutes and appetizer did not even make it. No one paid any attention until we got up to pay for our drinks and leave.

Just order meatloaf and calamari. So disgusting. It was cold old and should never have been served to anyone.

We have been coming here for years and until recently, was always really good. It has fallen off in recent months, but on our last visit was the final straw. I ordered a club sandwich, it was very bland and tasteless. I looked inside and noticed they had missed out the mayo. I mentioned this and some was dropped off. When we got the bill though, we noticed we had been charged for the mayo! They would not remove it. I'm done, no more Squires for us!

It was very busy and seemed staff were rushed off their feet but they were still able to serve us with a smile. I ordered the Cajun Chicken Bowl but received the Caesar Salad with Cajun Chicken which was good.

This was my first visit and I wasn’t disappointed. Very nice atmosphere and quality food. I ordered the fish and chips and got a couple of beers as well. Server was very nice and polite. I will definitely be returning.

I like the freshened decor! Excellent traditional British breakfast with beans, sausages and eggs. Unlimited coffee. Substituted my toast for gluten free bun. Lots of regulars here too. Lots of TV screens at the bar for those who follow sports.

Fabulous meal. Steak pie and mashed with gravy and a chicken club sandwich…. Delicious. Our server was great (Regan, maybe?). Will definitely return. Thank you.

Place, site and location very Good. But dishes and food served very poor. There is no flavor. All oily. Simple plates served everywhere like Fish and fingers, here is the worst. Never ask for them.
If you want to take a risk, ask for other different things.
Again the place is ok, attention is good.

Horrible experience. Food was over cooked. They were out of everything we ordered server didn’t tell us till after we ordered. They forgot our appetizer, We had to order it after we got our food. Service was horrible. Waited awhile just to order and never checked on. Really disappointed

Good food with ample portions. Our server was very friendly though service was a bit slow. Overall, a good experience. I'll go back sometime.

This has been "the place" for friends and family to gather for years. Since the pandemic however things at the Squire have changed. The menu selection gets smaller and smaller. Prices are creeping up. Food quality is noticably dropping. The changes aren't good.

These days when we talk about going out for a meal, we rarely think of the Squire anymore.

I don't know if this is management or just the front of house staff, but they're not checking for vaccinations. Figured that's the kind of thing others would want to know before driving out.

Stopped in for a pint at the bar. I must say the staff was very friendly and nice to chat with. The gentleman who sat beside us ordered lunch and it looked good. Very nice British feel inside.

Good menu choices, secluded patio, polite, friendly wait staff, good value, especially the lunch special menu.

The fishing and chips we're good. I don't remember the name of the other dish but it was very tasty. Very clean establishment. The staff were very helpful. It's a busy little place. I recommended.

Was looking for a patio close to home. I said to my wife, "hey we haven't been to Squires for a while, and they had good lunch deals before. " Their web page said lunch specials went till 3pm, and 3pm to 6pm had appetizer specials.

Got there at 2: 45 and asked if we were too "late" for the lunch specials. Apparently we were too "early". She said "lunch specials? Oh yes, I think they might start up again next week". So I asked about their appetizer specials. She informed us "Yes they start at 3pm". Too "early" by 15 min. She waited for a few moments to see if I would order a drink, while I struggled with the app I scanned to sign in.it is so inconvenient. Then she left without saying a word.

So we did too. We went up the street to Piper Arms. They take your wrist temperature, name, phone number and sit you down fast. Everyone is really friendly. Their lunch specials were actually ON. Food was great, and service was fast. What a difference!

I think we have a new favourite patio to frequent in our neighbourhood! Squires is passé.

Food was only so so. We went to the patio to start but were kicked out when they expected thunder and lighting. Went home and did UberEATS. Pretty plain and boring food, and this is coming from a guy that for the most part, is a meat and potatoes Irishman. I'll go somewhere else next time.

First time customers. Horrible service, only ones (2 people) on the patio and was served a non alcoholic beverage and was told there were 2oz in it for $6.50. Asked for a shot on the side and was refused as I had to pace myself even after telling the server I wasn't satisfied with the drink. Felt very belittled. Will not be returning.

We were a group of 4,3 of us would post 5 star.
I posted maximum 3 star to be nice. Service was great. I ordered the Jerk nan chicken wrap and I got a plain chicken wrap. No where near a spicy jerk chicken. When I showed our waitress of 13 years she said that’s it. That’s how we make it!
So, all jerk fans, stay away from the “Jerk Chicken at Squires on Fairview.

Used to love coming here as they had some REALLY delicious vegan options. It was our go-to pub with family and friends since they had options for everyone. Unfortunately all vegan items have been taken off the menu.sad to not be going here anymore.

The service was fantastic here and the waitress was very friendly. The restaurant was very well laid out as per COVID-19 protocols and the food was delicious.

Used to go here to have the breakfast have a Guinness and watch arsenal. Now during the pandemic realized they have really good quality food like chicken fingers and Guinness pie. Good patio too that’s well spaced out and has heaters.

We ordered fish and chips for drop off at the house, it was absolutely amazing, delivered within 25 minutes fresh and hot. Really good portions and we were very happy with our choice. Thank you for a great meal.

Weird, angry, unfriendly waitress. Had no idea what drinks were behind the bar. Threw things towards me. Was hostile for no apparent reason. A place to avoid.

Had the Squire Burger. Bread was a bit stale but good size. The fish and chips were good though. The staff were friendly and always around if you needed something extra or another glass of water. Close to pretty much everything and very handy to get to.

Just had a the house burger which was excellent, with some properly cooked chips. Slightly upscale pub faire would definitely recommend.

Have to drop a star, was one of our favorite places but on the last 3 visits we were not impressed with the food freshness, quality and the portions. On one visit they ran out of the roti's, which is one of our favorites. Hope they read this and step it up again to where it was.

One of my favorite places in Burlington for lunch. They have a great lunch feature for $15 dollars that includes a pint of beer or glass of wine or pop. Great English pup feel with great food. Pretty fast service and good food portion sizes. 5 stars

Terrible service. Waited 50 mins for food and it didn't show up, then when we decided to take it out. We had to wait for another 10 min to get the machines.

I am a regular here. I’ve always said how amazing it is. The food is always incredible and they have probably the best weekend breakfast in Burlington. My one star is directed specifically at the manager. She is the most miserable rude woman I have ever encountered in the hospitality business. My latest experience was today. We went in hoping to catch the tail end of their breakfast. The waitress who sat us asked if we were there for breakfast, and before we could even answer the manager barked “It’s done”. The manager has never ever treated the regulars at this establishment with any kind of respect. No wonder they’re losing business to the Piper’s Arms. Squires certainly doesn’t depend on my business to stay open, but if you are consistently rude to enough people, they’ll all catch on eventually. Not returning.

I am usually very impressed by this place but this time food wasn't there that I wanted and service was not good!

Went for their fantastic curry and also decided to try the Butter Chicken Pizza. The curry was great, as it always is. The pizza was terrible, overcooked and tasted nothing like butter chicken. We mentioned this to the waitress, who remarked that nobody likes it, it doesn't take like butter chicken and that they really shouldn't have it on the menu. What the heck!

Checked the website and went down for the Tuesday half-price apps, but was totally misled
because they aren't all half price but it doesn't tell you that on the website and it doesn't tell you anywhere on the menu or when you walk in.

Love this place. The curry is great and love the tomato soup. Wonderful environment and would recommend it for sure

Good food, diverse menu, consistent quality

Kids eat free Saturday, so we go here a lot for lunch on weekends. Food is decent pub fare, with consistent service. It can be a bit busier on Saturday night which slows things down.

They have enough TVs that you can catch the game if that's your thing, but not enough that its a constant distraction that ends conversation.

Seating options are convenient with lots of flexibility for larger parties.

Absolutely awful experience. Ordered the spinach and artichoke dip that was burned and an extremely small portion for being $14.99. Also ordered the “authentic” chicken vindaloo which just tasted like cayenne pepper in a bland tomato sauce and the “in-house” naan was stale and stiff. The pepper jack burger was dry and flavourless. When the server took the full plate away ignoring the plate being practically untouched and did not ask if there was something wrong with it. Paid the bill and had to go somewhere else to get edible food.

Would give it no stars if that was possible.

This place was delicious! I had an issue with my food and they rectified it immediately. Would recommend and go back.

Last time in I enjoyed my meal yet my wufe wasnt overly impressed with the roti.she said it seemed crispy on the outside and the chicken seemed dried out.usually we have good meals here.

Amazing food. And, the people are even better. They catered for our staff lunch (70 people). Perfect. Thanks again!

A group of friends and I ended up at Squires for dinner and sadly it was the worst dining experience I've had in Burlington since I moved here 6 months ago. The waitress who served us did not know the specials, the drinks, or the menu. Which is fine, she could be a new employee - I don't know. We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for food while 4 out of 6 of our meals were wrong. Our group simply just laughed it off as we were not going to wait for anything else. Although we ordered before at 6: 40pm they did not honor the half price starters before 7;00pm on the bill. We didn't get out of there until after 9: 00pm. I'm surprised to see the number of good reviews on this place considering how terrible our experience was.

Do not recommend.

Great pub style food, reasonably priced, good on tap beer selection and friendly waitstaff. Been here many times and it is consistently good.

My boyfriend and I visit this place often. Their food is delicious and the staff are very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.

Chicken fingers are definitely along their best options. The French onion soup is more of an onion soup, with little cheese and a souflé.

Was an enjoyable place to get together with friends - service was great & the food was good. We had a group of 10 on a Sunday night so the atmosphere was perfect for catching up (quiet but not empty)

Friendly staff and great food. Good selection of beer.

Come earlier during hockey games if you need a seat.
