St. Catharines Dental Implants & Oral Surgery

I'm writing this review for my husband, John Pierosara. His treatment with Dr. Vigna lasted over a period of a few months. Dr. Vigna and his staff were so pleasant and the atmosphere was very calming. John had full confidence in the doctor's knowledge and professionalism and is very satisfied and pleased with the result of his work. Many thanks to Dr. Vigna and his staff for a good experience.

I got my wisdom teeth taken out here, the anesthesia process was comfortable and recovery went well with great results!

I have had my share of questionable dental work performed. I was lead to believe that pain and discomfort were part of the process. The staff and Dr. Vigna himself, made me comfortable, explained everything, told me what to expect and eventually gave me the smile I did not know I could have but have always wanted. I had 11 teeth removed as well as 1 mm of jawbone on my top and 11 teeth and 6 mm of jawbone removed from my l bottom. I had six posts put in the top and they are fixed and I have for posts on the bottom and those are removable.

After being in pain for 10+ years I finally took the recommendation of Dr Vigna to have an implant installed. No more pain and I wish I would have just spent the money years ago. I highly recommend St Catharines Oral Surgery

I found Dr. Vigna and his staff to be very professional from beginning to end. I have seen him on two occasions: one for (eight) teeth extraction enabling the use of braces, and one for a review of my gum erosion.

For the teeth extraction, the surgery was quick. When they woke me up, they let me relax in a quiet comfortable room. I took a while to gather my strength, but there was no pressure to leave whatsoever. I was also very satisfied with the post-surgery follow-up on the next day. They indicated what conditions I should monitor for, but thankfully my recovery was pretty smooth.

For the review of my gums, Dr. Vigna was very thorough. He explained all options and made his recommendation, which were simple botox injections. This recommendation incorporated both my medical/psychological objectives and my financial situation. The botox injections brought no additional revenues for Dr. Vigna. This confirms my belief that Dr. Vigna’s foremost objective is the health of his patients.

I would recommend Dr. Vigna to anyone that needs advanced dental work or oral surgery.

Due to personal circumstances, I have found it difficult to write.

Decided to have oral surgery. Not able to afford braces when I was young, my teeth are now a disappointment. A problem for someone with a big smile.

Potential pain and the financial expense not something I was looking forward to but it had to be done. I would smile normally again.

Dr Vigna is very professional.
What does this actually mean?
Aside from the fact that he has Oral and Maxillofacial training, can deal with bone atrophy and much more, what stood out was his passion for detail.

We met at least 4x to review my mouth. He showed me exactly where and how the posts would be angled.
In addition, we talked about a backup plan. Ready for anything during surgery.

As well he made me laugh by telling a story about his wife's response to his penchant for planning. His goal was to see my gum line with a real smile.
It was a lovely human moment.

Dr Vigna’s demeanor is professional, almost formal, but I remember the moments we talked abt colored glasses and socks, all signs of his penchant for detail.
It's who he is.professional but through that coolness he is passionate about helping his patients.
I felt safe and excited to get my new mouth. Bonus: I would have same day implants.

During this time, I was told maybe I had cancer. I did not feel bad. I was active and looked healthy.
As it turned out Feb 9,2023, after many, many months, our medical system finally got their positive result. Stage 3 to 4 pancreatic cancer and hope only to extend my life.
Sunnybrook, in a 2nd opinion conference call, told me the same without knowing about result of Feb 9 surgery and waiting for a positive result like Jurvanski did. I had the 3 markers. A positive result was not necessary for Sunnybrook.

During the medical systems waffling, maybe I had cancer, I delayed telling Dr Vigna. I really wanted a new mouth.
Finally, after many months and now with a daunting diagnosis I shared the news.

I hoped to get some of my deposit back.
The reply I received was overwhelming. It still brings me to tears.
Dr Vigna gave me back almost a full refund.

This very professional man has a hidden heart of gold.he was not concerned about his pocketbook but about his patient.

A final note. Our accountant had a client with dental implants and connected me. Mary told me she and her brother had full mouth dental implants and they were over the moon. She said she wished she should done it earlier.
Asked who the surgeon was. It was Dr Vigna.

At this moment I am on murderous chemo 9 and have not died yet. I intend to beat the odds. I am fighting to live.
I still hope for Dr Vigna to give me back my big smile!

I have anxiety, from start to finish Dr. Vigna and his office had me feeling like I was cared for, listened to and in control. The confidence (not arrogance) displayed from every person I had contact with made me feel I was absolutely going to be taken care of. Dr. Vigna made every effort to create an atmosphere where his surgery would be successful and my experience would be comfortable. I thank you all very much!

Would do a negative 5 if possible. Our daughter had an asthma attack which they ignored at first and then they covered it up not saying a word when they brought her back to my husband. She also got permanent nerve damage and other problems… stay away

Excellent experience, not a fan of dental work had my tooth out. No pain and treated really well

I was very nervous about having a tooth pulled on May 5. But Kelly in the office, Dr. Vigna and everyone else made it much easier for me. It is a great place and the extraction was done quickly and painlessly. And to get a phone call the next day to see how I was doing was very special. Thank you for a great experience.

I’m very happy I chose to come here. If you’re worried about getting your wisdom teeth removed and want to make sure it’s done properly without pain or complications make sure you come here! I got all four removed with no pain and an extremely fast recovery plus an incredibly fair price. You might be able to find someone that will do it cheaper but you get what you pay for.
