St. Clair Optometry - Dr. Jason Hershorn

I was here in Dec 2019 to get prescription for glasses. Today I called to make an appointment, the Doctor I dealt with left. OK, so I need an appointment regardless, We do not do prescriptions unless you do the full eye exam! I do not need a full eye exam just a new prescription, my Eye Surgeon, does that once a year, but he doesn't do the Rx for new glasses. I was told to bad, go someplace else then! OK I did! If I could rate this pitiful place a ZERO I would!

My family and I have been coming here for years. Dr. Hershorn is an excellent optometrist. He is always so kind and an expertise in his field.

This place is fantastic. Amazing AND VERY knowledgeable staff. Got a pair of prescription sunglasses. The process was so easy and I felt like I was treated with the utmost respect throughout the whole process. All my questions were answered thoroughly. Very happy with the final product. Great prices, great customer care, highly recommended!

I had a great experience at this place. I had a piece of metal in my eye from cutting metal at work, even though I was wearing safety glasses! The front desk staff is very helpful and experienced, and assisted me with scheduling many appointments to make sure that the metal was out of my eye. I had to get antibiotics and use eyedrops periodically to keep my eyes moist, they know what they are talking about! Once the metal was out, DR. Jason Hershorn and Micheal Vieira requested I come in for a third appointment to make sure it was all gone, and did thorough testing as well. I recommend this location to anyone!

I've been going to this optometrist for years. He's very knowledgeable and my glasses and contacts have always worked über-well! 8·)

Everything about the place is great. The front desk staff make you feel welcome and the office is very clean and tidy. I came in just for a routine eye exam and was more than happy with the service. Dr Hershorn has this calming influence that just puts you at ease and explains everything thoroughly.

Location is excellent, easily accessible by public transit. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Jason fixed my problems with my glasses and lenses. He is one of the best in him industry and I rccommend him to anyone needing glasses and contact lenses.

I was looking for a new optometrist and was referred to Dr. Hershorn from my sister. Dr. Hershorn was very kind, patient and resourceful. He took the time to explain how to relieve my dry eyes and the office had a great selection of frames. I will definitely be coming back! Toto also made my visit memorable!

I had a wonderful experience at St. Clair Optometry. As soon as I walked in the receptionist greeted me with a kind smile. She was polite and very accommodating as I was running a bit late. Dr. Hershorn was very knowledgeable. He ensured that my contacts were the perfect fit for me as he narrowed it down based on my needs and issues I’ve been having with my current brand. He took the time to go through different brands that he would reccomend, as well as solutions that would best suit me. I would recommend Dr. Hershorn to all my friends and family:)

Just had my first appointment with Dr Jason Hershorn and it was excellent. Nick at the reception desk was able to book my appointment and when I arrived he very polite and friendly. Dr. Hershorn is calm and made sure my eyes were alright. I never felt like I was being rushed. He very patient in getting the correct measurements for my glasses and contact lenses. The special 4 legged greeter at the door is also very cute and put you at ease. Overall I would highly recommend St. Clair Optometry and it's staff.

Amazing service in supporting specific needs for my unique glasses prescription and situation. And the staff were amazingly creative and supportive in my selection of frames.

I came to this office to update my prescription a few months ago. I thought I was setting up an appointment with Dr Hershorn, but instead it turned out to be a younger doctor.

The machine that the younger doctor used to test my eyesight was old and there was even a sticker on the back indicating that it was overdue for maintenance.

I ended up getting a second opinion at a different office where I paid half the price and the equipment was so new that the doctor didn't even have to adjust the machine manually to show me the different prescription strength options. She just adjusted it from an interface beside her computer.

The second prescription I got was so much different (and my vision so much crisper when I had the test glasses on), that I suspect the younger doctor at Dr Hershorn's office only guessed my prescription based on my old prescription. Then he told me with a straight face that this was my new prescription.

This office is not equipped to properly test eyesight and the younger doctor seemed to either be ok with it or he was oblivious to it.

Excellent team all around. I needed an update to my glasses and Dr. Hershorn did a complete, careful exam, answered all my questions and the glasses he prescribed are perfect. I was also very pleased with the fitting and their willingness to let me change frames. Very good experience from start to finish!
