Went in for strep today, nurse and receptionist were both nice and the wait time was next to nothing, the doc was pretty opinionated but honestly I agree with the guy as most people really don’t understand the state of Canadas healthcare system. These doctors are overworked, underpaid, and get little support from the government and they certainly aren’t to blame for wait times, not to mention they put themselves in the line of fire daily. Canada seriously needs reform. That being said bro coulda been a little nicer but I get where he’s coming from 3/5

So grateful to have found this place. It's very neat, the staff is so kind and the dr is knowledgeable. Wait times are minimum. There's a pharmacy right there and the staff there is so friendly!

Worst service i have ever seen, they should have mentioned in the site that they will accept only cash. When i went there, front desk told that they will accept only cash. I want the local officials to take this as a concern and action against this.

Dr. Paul conte has been nothing but helpful every time I’ve gone to this clinic. Just answer his questions as direct and polite as possible

Called them to see if they do something in particular, and they said yes, but when I got there they were like no, we don’t do that.like what

The pharmacist is nice and provides discounts. However, Dr conte, for the love of god get this male doctor out of here. He’s extremely rude and on top of that doesn’t necessarily give the right medications.

Amazingly quick and friendly. With pharmacy next door in and out with antibiotic script in hand 15 minutes.

I don’t even know how this doctor is allowed to practice medicine. He came in, and when asked how he was doing he went “miserable I’ve hated my job for 23 years. ” I couldn’t breathe so badly, he didn’t even listen to my lungs and just sent me out with a prescription and went “good luck”. We could hear him with other patients saying things like “I don’t have time for this” or “i don’t know what you want me to do”. All the rest of the staff was lovely but this doctor was so ignorant and rude, and puts no effort into trying to help people.

I actually don't mind the doctor here.

Please stop taking up important time for simple colds and flu's that can easily spread to others. There's no need.
I don't blame the doctors for being annoyed I would be too.

I visited the clinic today because I had severe back and knee pain. Firstly, I would love to give 5 stars for the receptionist as she was very polite and calm. Waiting time was not much which is very good.
I would definitely give a big ZERO to Dr. Paul Conte as he has no idea how to deal with the patient. He was so rude and arrogant and I think he must be thinking that he is doing favour upon the patients. I am pretty sure he is being paid very well by the government. If you are not happy with your job, you always have the other opportunities.
I told him that back got injured and he asked do you have a family doctor? I said no. Do you have insurance? I said no. Then he said ok well there is nothing I can do. I was like WHAT. Its not an interview where you are interviewing the patients. We need cure for our problems. He said you have blah blah syndrome. Ok if I have, where is my prescription. Where is the cure?
If you are blessed with some knowledge, help people and make the best use of it.

Everyone at the walk in clinic was quite rude. Wait time wasn’t long which was nice. They really rushed me out of there with little to no testing or questions. Gave me one pill which did nothing

Dr. Paul Conte is very rude and loud. He acted very unprofessional in every conversation and behaved like he is not at all interested to do his job. His response to the patients questions and concerns were very badly handled by him. I had no choice but write this review about it as people should know he is treating everyone like this.

A very long line to wait, every I went. But it is good that take your number and come later to save your time. Nice doctors

Went prepared on a Saturday 2 hrs before closing. Book, water etc.
This clinic is clean and spacious and has a pharmacy open space concept. So you can easily see when it's ok to enter.
Dr. Conte was relaxed, not rushed and listened to my concerns and came up with a game plan that works for me. Would I reccomend this clinic, yes 100%, but only if you let me butt in line.

The clinic staff is actually really nice, this was my second visit for my 2 year old daughter. The first visit was really nice, the doctor was kind and understanding and listened and checked my toddler really well. She gets scared the moment we enter a clinic and starts crying.he worked through that, my complain is about the doctor I saw today. He was so rude. My toddler was crying because she was unwell and scared, and he kept getting frustrated with her and kept saying this is hard I can't check blah blah. I got so upset with him and asked him why are you getting frustrated with a toddler, she's scared. He then didn't have an answer. He was so rude and unprofessional, if you don't know how to handle a toddler or even want to, why are you a doctor. He was so pathetic and rude. I forgot to get his name but I will call tomorrow and ask his name and file a complaint about him. Unprofessional doctor.

Good and friendly doctors and a supportive staff. This place is our first choice for a walk in clinic in Kitchener. I have had good experience with healthcare for both of my kids. I highly recommend this clinic.

Dr. Paul Conte spent years in medical school but should have taken a few proper people interaction courses as well. He complains to his patients about being over worked but I don't believe he's being forced to be there and every time he sees a patient he gets paid very well. He shouldn't be taking his anger out on patients. The medical board should look into his behaviour.

It’s unfortunate that it’s one of the few places accepting family patients in town. I’ve been waiting for more than 2 hours, even though I had an appointment. Neither the pharmacist nor some of the receptionists bother wearing a mask other than a chin diaper. And this obviously permeates to some of the patients that are in the waiting room.

Compound waiting time, with lack of health measure and it’s probably one of the most unhealthy healthcare situations I’ve been in.

Hopefully they’ll improve.

Waste of time, no help.
I called because they were accepting new patients, I was told I had to come in to fill out paper work then make an appointment. When I came, they said I had to wait to speak to the doctor and it won't be long. Almost two hours later the doctor said she needs to say "hi" to the kids first. I don't understand why the receptionist would say to wait for the doctor if she knew I needed the kids with me, or why they wouldn't allow me to book an appointment or fill out the paperwork

They could of explained on the phone at the start.

Definitely not a place I would want to deal with for a family doctor

Very disorganized and unprofessional. They do not follow up with you when promised to. The doctor lack basic pregnancy knowledge and does not inform us of any important tests that my wife needed to do during pregnancy. We were promised a date for an appointment when we signed up for the family doctor, but were told no such thing the day before (we had to call). I can't think of any other place that are unprofessional as this, people should try very hard to find another family doctor, and avoid coming here even as a walk-in clinc.

I showed up for what was suppose to a 15 min meet and greet with the new doctor there and I sat for an hour waiting and then they said there was still 5 patients ahead of me. They appeared very disorganized. The receptionist was nice she apologized for the wait.

GO TO ANY OTHER CLINIC. If you come here, except to wait minimum 3 hours. Better off going to a hospital to get examined, would be faster. They don’t take appointments and it seems even if you have an appointment, you’ll have to wait.

Understaffed and unnecessary visits for money grab. The pharmacist is the receptionist. I had a follow up appointment at 11 am, showed up a few mins earlier, and when I arrived the place was full with other patients who got to see the doctor before me (turned out its first come first serve as well). By the time it was my turn it was 11: 55 am. And the place was empty, I was second to last. What's the point of an appointment if I will have to wait that long anyway? Im not comfortable waiting in a busy clininc as a pregnant woman during a pandemic just because of lack of organization and not knowing how to spread out patients through out the day. Oh.and here is the cherry on top: I saw the doctor for less than 5 min, just for him to tell me the result of my scan that I got done earlier, which he could have easily done over the phone. Apparently they get paid for every visit, so why care about the patient's best intrest.
My Obgyn is not happy with this.

Update to their reply: The receptionist wasnt wearing a face mask, and they seemed like they werent taking the issue seriously. Also, it wasnt the only walk in clinic in town. As a matter of fact, I only went here because its closer to where I live. I DID NOT choose to go in person. The receptionist called me and said I should go to the clinic to see the doctor, and I was not giving the option to speak to the doctor over the phone.
If you go through the 1 star reviews in the last year, you will see that they have been having the same issue: understaffed.

I have been this pharmacy for more than year, always amazing experience. I have been getting discount whenever I buy medicine.my doctor send the prescription to Supper Drugs Mart and they said that medicine have to mix it so it wouldn’t cover from OHIP even thought for kids.so I have been paying $60 for medicine but when I transfor to St. George Medical Centre they just charge only $40. The gentleman was very nice to help for us and he did made a call to different parties and made cover for medicine and I got refund my $40. And now I do not have to pay. For that I really appreciated the gentleman who took initiation to make it free. So I highly recommend for everyone to St George Medical centre. Loved it.

Don't waste your time. Completely unprofessional.

I went here after hours, in lieu of the hospital. Dr. Never followed up & receptionist gave poor instructions for retrieving my records for my own Dr. This was weeks after no follow up. Went in person, as per their instructions & was told to ask my Dr. To request disclosure properly. Waste of time; I should have done to ER or waited for my family Dr.

Only giving 3 stars for the physician part of the building which was amazing.

The pharmacy is terrible and deserves 1 star.
My spouse was being tested for covid-19 and had to get medications. The pharmacy refused to send meds to our local pharmacy and made him go to KItchener. He called to get curbside option and the pharmacist told him to come into the store. Incredibly disappointed by their risky actions.

I went there, after I was told they accepted out of province cards, I know someone who didn't pay. I go in, I'm told I have to pay.no reciept only cash. Was so sketchy, I got my money back and left. Why not charge someone else a week earlier, but then charge me. Same out of province card.and no reciept? Only cash? Has this happened to anyone else? Didn't seem professional. At all.

St. George Walkin Clinic and Pharmacy is an excellent medical center. I would highly recommend anyone looking for quality medical services, and or a pharmacy to fill their prescriptions, To check this place out! They’re efficient and highly competent. Very easy to get to. They’re located right at the corner of Fisherhallman Road and Bleams in Kitchener.:)

Quick and knowledgeable service on a Saturday. Dr.was kind and thorough, will be back if Saturday services don't get too busy! In and out in 30 mins including prescription!

Nice place (I think it's new), super clean, not super crowded, at least when I was there (2: 00 pm). The only issue? There is one girl doing everything (receptionist, nurse, pharmacist, who knows what else). So you've to wait a lot plus more minutes for the doctor (there is only one in the afternoons). So I was there for almost 1 hour.

No doctor present here, long wait time for no apparent reason (there is only one other patient in the clinic, and still I waited almost an hour) explain your symptoms to a secretary or assistant, whatever she is, then explain it all over again to some random person on a computer screen. Sent away with no solutions, only to have to go to another walk in clinic the next day and and get antibiotics for a terrible sinus infection. Who has time to waste like this? Not me, will not return and do not recommend. I don't even know how OHIP is allowing this
