St. Jacob's Market in Kitchener is a delightful experience that showcases the vibrant essence of local culture. From fresh produce to handmade crafts, the market offers a diverse array of high-quality goods. The friendly vendors create a warm atmosphere, making each visit a joyful and enriching adventure. The market's commitment to supporting local businesses and fostering a sense of community makes it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a genuine and rewarding shopping experience.
I went there on Saturday, even though it was cold, the market was huge. It has so many things to buy and it has indoor and outdoor market's. When you go there you have to try the apple fritters, they are the best (my opinion). And it's also a great place to explore.
Great experience. A variety of products, food, arts, and wooden crafts are available. Thursdays (till 3.00 pm) and Saturdays (till 3.00 pm). We were late to attend the 1st time, but could explore some places around and bought some products. When we went for the second time, we could roam all three covered markets.
It was raining so we didn't get a chance to look at everything but it was a beautiful experience. Local.produce are fresh and cheap. Food to eat is a bit on the pricer side but to buy vegetables is not bad.ofcourse it was beautiful ride for my daughter on Phantom (beautiful white horse)
Our first time visit here was excellent, lots of variety to choose from. Lots of interesting items to try and of course local produce that was nothing short of fresh. We definitely plan to go back when its not rainy to better explore other things this place has to offer which would definitely need a longer stay.
Went to the market on Christmas Eve. The traders were super friendly. Anchor store had the cutest pieces! The African store has authentic African stuff at very affordable prices!
We ate way too many samosas and other food items. Bought too many spices and had a jolly Christmas Eve while doing so!
Many great options for vegans! Tamales (The Tamale Girl), Empanadas (KW Empanadas), and even dessert at Bela Crema! The Tamale Girl will no longer be at St Jacobs after January though (except pop ups). Hoping for even more options in the future!
It would be nice if it wasn't so commercialized, l was looking more for a market with antiques and deals. It was still a good place to visit on a cold rainy day.
This place is worth a visit due to its big size and the way it’s spread out across sheds. The food is good. The vendors are generally nice but bit reserved. I liked the Ackroyd’s honey for quality and the person selling it was smily and friendly. The mini donuts and the apple fritters are on the suggestion list to try as well.
Super cool market! I have never been before and was shocked! So many cool things to get, all are fresh and we got some of the apple fritters, which were very freshly made and absolutely delish. We also got a blooming onion, called the Collosal Onion and it was loaded and was incredible, one of the best I've had in a while. Overall, I was really happy that there were samples and everything was incredibly delicious so I would definitely want to come back and pick up some new things each time!
Don't get too excited about this place. It's good, and some of the vendors are pleasant but nothing special that I could find. The prices are ok but not great. We drove 1hr 45 minutes not worth the gas.but if your close, then it's ok for a quick drop in on a weekend.
