Canadian health care has become a complete disaster imagine i arrived with heart attack like symptoms and the ekg machine doesn’t even work in first world Canada! Any other patient could had died waiting for the machine to be changed this looks like grounds for a lawsuit to me. I’m just thank I was the one that was able to alert them this machine did not work had it been an older man with a failing heart he could have lost precious minutes potentially diminishing his chance at being saved. I’d like to add god bless the employees at this place as most of these issues are not their fault due lack of staff and funding however you do feel sort of low morale here. I don’t see people rushing. I spend part of the year in Colombia and even their health care is 10x faster and all the equipment is much newer. Mr. Trudeau sent billions for war but hasn’t invested a penny in the most basic equipment hospitals need. Extreme Negligence by our government and health officials
11 January 2024 14:37
The workers are kind and caring. The admin work is questionable at times due to the conflicting reports that can be given out. The building is nice, but in need of renovations. For example: there's windows AC. Hospitals should have central AC.
30 November 2023 8:08
Place is horrible over 16 hours wait to after tell me they can't do an ultrasound my wife needed plus around 80$ paid in parking
18 November 2023 12:55
False accusations, mistreatment, bullying, physical harassment and many more giving me PTSD. There’s no point of suing cause they got the government and system backing them up. Traumatized and my pride shattered I can’t even my hands are shaking writing this. I hope this place closes down

I want to thank Dr Desilva for treating me like a human being it's been quite a while since I have felt heard. Thanks Doc for being a good man/doctor
11 October 2023 15:22
I just called because I’m going through depression and anxiety for the first time and I wanted to inquire about getting help. The lady who answered the phone this evening at 645pm was extremely rude. She seemed annoyed that I was calling and only gave one word answers. People are coming to you in their times of need and this is so unacceptable. She needs some serious customer service training. Now I don’t even want to visit for fear of being treated like trash

I gave birth here last October 11 and all I can say is that all nurses and doctors were great! They are professional and knowledgeable of the things patients ask. They explain things, be it medications to take or procedures, in detail which is really nice. When I gave birth via normal delivery, there was a team of professionals (nurses, doctors like pedia, OB, etc). I felt really cared for. Many thanks to that team led by Dr. Bryan Liu. The most patient midwife I met was Dr. Daniel Bierstene (sorry if I called you Miss, I was confused on how and what to call you) who explained everything to me starting from the induced labor, what medications they put in IV, gave me water or juice and a big birth ball to have me fully dilated and ready for giving birth. The most calming, therapeutic, and smart ones too are Ms. Thuy and Ms. Iasmin. These are just some of the ones I got to meet and say thank you to. I still wanna thank all of them that is why I am writing this because I admire how considerate, caring, professional all the staff of St. Joe's are. This hospital has a really clean facility that when you walk through the doors, you will not be able to spot any trash laying on the floor. It has my ideal kind of clean when it comes to going to hospitals! It just feels nice to be there when first, the place is clean. And second, the people are caring. I love this hospital and if I would give birth, I would like it to be here again only because of the factors I above-mentioned.

P. S. I would like to thank my OB too, Dr. Adam Rosen for being a humble and cool doctor. He is a very knowledgeable OB, glad that St. Joe has him. Also, Ms. Ruby of Dr. Saranggapani's clinic and Dr. Saranggapani where I go for checkup/appointments- I would like to acknowledge their hardwork.
08 October 2023 14:42
I stopped calling hospitals they don’t help you. They thought we all die by now taking the vaccine. They just want you to die.
27 September 2023 14:52
I recently gave birth 2 weeks ago and my experience at St. Joes was fantastic. I had an unplanned c section and all the nurses that took care of me before hand and after were so kind and helpful. I was very pleased and I want to thank all the nurses for their hard work! The doctors were all wonderful too! Thank you
25 September 2023 12:06
Came in early thanksgiving morning and was treated kindly and fairly by the nurses and staff. Pretty fast wait times and everyone in the Yellow Zone was so respectful and friendly. Thank you to everyone who spends their holiday caring for others!

I recently had the unfortunate experience of going through a miscarriage, and during this challenging time, I received exceptional care and support at St. Joseph Hospital and the Early Pregnancy Clinic. I cannot praise them enough for their dedication and empathy.

I visited the hospital three times, each time experiencing a level of care that exceeded my expectations. Despite the difficult circumstances that brought me there, my experience could not have been better. The doctors and nurses were extremely understanding and compassionate, always considering both my physical and mental well-being.

Throughout my visits, the medical staff showed genuine concern for my condition, going above and beyond to provide the support I needed. Their empathetic approach made me feel comfortable and supported during this emotionally trying period.

I am truly grateful for the amazing care I received at St. Joseph Hospital and the Early Pregnancy Clinic. Their professionalism, kindness, and attentiveness left a lasting impression on me. I highly recommend this hospital and clinic to anyone seeking compassionate care and support during challenging times.

Thank you to all the doctors and nurses who played a role in making my experience as positive as it could be.

I worked for st Joseph’s for almost 4 years
After having a Racist encounter with a nurse (I was verbally abused) the hospital did nothing but suspend this nurse for 1 shift.

I had to resign due to mental distress & did not even get a response to my resignation letter, it was however announced that I quit.

Highly do not recommend working here.
04 July 2023 19:44
My dad had his cataract surgery here it went well. However, there is major construction around this hospital
28 June 2023 15:28
I received diagnostic MRI imaging at St. Joes. Every staff I interacted with was professional, friendly and extremely helpful.

The process was efficient despite me having some challenges staying still in the MRI for one of my scans.

Given how overburdened our healthcare system is, I think it’s sometimes easy to forget how hard every member of these teams work to help us (the patient) put the pieces of the puzzle together in our health journey. I wanted to share my gratitude.

Thank you very much to the MRI booking team (especially Sophia) including the on-site registration team and the technologists who were so kind and helpful. I believe the technologist I had is named Peter and there was two other lovely team members I interacted with (thank you!).

Investigate this place and hold these incompetent doctors accountable. Lazy, unprofessional doctors.
31 January 2023 23:07
Worst wait times how is there only 1 doctor in the entire hospital it is rediculous no one in here to help our health care system is a joke
07 January 2023 19:34
To start the nurses and Dr on duty were kind and attentive, thank you. But they deserve better than to work at a small unhygienic makeshift ER with limited capabilities.

I was taken to the hospital for the first time, and I was shocked by how rudimentary the ER is. There’s no separate area with rooms for patients. They created rooms with adjustable dividers a few meters away in the same area as the waiting room. There are two areas created with dividers to draw Blood and insert IV drips. There’s little to no technology or systems to notify and track patients.

Specimen containers (urine) are collected in bags at the front desk where patients go to speak to staff. At a point I suggested they move the basket to another area because the baskets were so full and specimen bags were falling all over the counter and people were exposed to them. I was told that it is their standard practice it can’t change it.

There doesn't appear to be a systemized way of treating patience based on the severity of their illness. Overall I was shocked, I recently moved to Mimico and will not return to the hospital by choice.
04 January 2023 5:33
My experience with this hospital was very unpleasant. I did not see a nurse or doctor for hours. When they took my blood pressure hours later they said that blood pressure was so high I should stay until it drops. The thing that bothered me was the fact that my care was decided by intake nurse, who didn’t even take my vitals. I have never been admitted to a hospital where this was not done, ever.
30 December 2022 20:09
The birthing unit is amazing. I had two babies here and drove from scarborough. The staff is efficient and caring both of my experiences were great.
Also the kids clinic is great. I drive from scarborough to this clinic when my kids are sick.
Overall I think this hospital does a great job when comparing it to other hospitals I have been to
20 December 2022 2:36
I was staying there a few days ago and got my boy. What I want to write a review here is that I want to say "Thank you so much" to Janay, who is working in Family Birth Center as a nurse. She was very professional and was willing to help us. We don't know anything to do after birth a baby. But she took care of my baby and wife very carefully as well. Also, she tried to teach us how to take care of the baby, such as changing a diaper, how to feed a baby, and so on. We want to say "Very very appreciated. " You are the best nurse we have met in Canada. Thank you so much! We will miss you how nice you were. By the way, I gave 4 stars of stars here. Few people didn't want to be helpful. They worked as a robot. That's all.

P. S: We were in the no. 11 room and posted this on Oct. 2022.
17 December 2022 17:38
I just read online that a gentleman came in 3 times for help and was neglected and now dead! Shame on all of you that work here. Do better.
15 December 2022 11:49
I was at the emergency dept.last night. Staff treated me with respect, they treated my ailment. The Dept.was very busy
with many patients. Staff conducted themselves in a very
professional manner. Thank You! For your help.
13 December 2022 4:15
I’m really glad the ambulance took me to St. Joseph. It was kind of a long drive and wait in pain. But the paramedics said it was worst at Humber Hospital. I could tell nurses were all burnt out and they were definitely understaffed. But they honestly did their best. Very attentive, following up, checking in on me. I didn’t feel forgotten or neglected. I spent 5 hours which was pretty fast to me. Got all my test and bloodwork done on the spot. Dr. Morgenstern even called me the next day to follow up with some results. The hospital even reached out to me again to make sure I was updated on my medical results. Very professional. I will definitely recommend this hospital for emergency
11 October 2022 18:27
Last Friday morning, my child had two febrile seizures and was sent to the emergency room right away. I was so scared and could not even think and describe what happened. The nurses, porter, doctors helped me and my child a lot. Everything was under control. Although I did not catch their names as it happened so fast, I really appreciate what they have done for me. They are very professional, accountable, and helpful.
29 September 2022 0:43
Took mom to emergency. Nurse Angela went above her duty to make her visit the best possible, a good caring Samaritan! The whole team was incredible. Thank you.
06 September 2022 13:30
Came to the ER, staff were friendly, helpful and understanding of my baby’s infection and issues. While busy, they did a great job isolating patients apart. Parking on the street starts at 10am but on Pearson ave it starts at 8am, all of them for 1 hour limit. The parking enforcement officers are like hawks around here. Otherwise you can use the hospital parking lot which is not cheap.
25 August 2022 6:31
Good hospital with caring doctors and nurses alike. Had my surgery there and they took good care of me, even played my favorite music in the OR for me!:). They are an asset to our community. Much appreciated.
22 August 2022 23:21
Most disorganized hospital I’ve ever been toI’ve had broken ribs broken shoulder and a spine for four weeks now and they haven’t contacted me they told me I have an appointment on Friday and then suddenly I didn’t have an appointment worst hospital I’ve ever been to! They didn’t contact me no emails no text messages now they’re telling me they have no one to take care of me no one to help me with my broken bones this is disgusting.
26 July 2022 12:57
My Grandmother had her hip surgery in St. Joseph’s. Everything went great, she has received tremendous amount of care and love from all nurses and doctors. We also wanted to say Big Thank You to Boris Hemon, Spiritual Care Practitioner and Hanna, Social Worker, for all the support and kindness.
09 March 2022 20:02
I'm in another city while my daughter has been writhing in pain for the last 3 hours. I see from the reviews that the emergency room treatment is justified. She's been completely ignored with the flimsy excuse they are waiting for the results of an ultrasound? I'm aware the system is taxed beyond anything we have seen before but this does not excuse the common decency of attending to the cries for someone, anyone and being completely unattended.
Furious and helpless
02 February 2022 0:14
They booked me a morning appointment, with a requisition and a note stating what time my appointment is. When I got in they said I don’t have an appointment and I will have to book it! How on earth does this hospital operate? ! Somebody comes in to an appointment in the morning, and you’re saying that they’re lying about the appointment! Never coming here again!
30 January 2022 6:10
What is there to say? It's a hospital. A bit confusing now, as renovations are being done and departments are being moved around.
23 January 2022 12:19
Staff on the covid floor are crazy and not doing their jobs properly! My mom had not been turned over for 7 hours and it's important to turn patients every 4 hours. Staff are unpleasant and very high strung here. Will never return to this floor again. My mom is stuck here because she wasn't improving that quickly but she is now getting better. Get your family member off this floor as soon as possible! My experience at this hospital was so bad that my mother will NEVER return here again. The staff have caused me immense anxiety and sleepless nights. I have volunteered at hospitals before and have never encountered staff as immature and unprofessional as I have on the 2nd floor of this hospital.
My mom was in Emergency for 2 days and they lost all her clothes and very expensive shoes! My moms feet are in bad condition so we had her shoes imported from Germany. Does My mom return home in a hospital gown and bare feet? !
09 January 2022 22:51
Waste of time. I literally came in at 6 am cause I have a really bad ear infection. The nurses were kid enough to let me lay on a hospital bed and check up on me but the doctor didn’t do anything besides check my ear and give me painkillers. I’ve spoken to plenty of professional nurses after that and they were baffled by how careless the doctor was by not providing me with any antibiotics to get rid of the infection. I literally could have cured this a long time ago if the doctor gave me a proper prescription. She just told me that it’ll go away on its own. What a joke. I’m going to Toronto western next time.
27 December 2021 10:28
THUMBS UP!
I can only say the best about this hospital and their staff!
Everyone is very nice, helpful, empathic and extremely caring. A special thanks and shout out to the great nurses that treat you as if you were their own child.
24 December 2021 14:29
Don't get me wrong, this is my go to hospital hence all my records are here. I've had all good doctors in the emergency for the past 5yrs I've been in and out from the hospital, except for Dr. Su (not sure how to spell his name) we was dismissive and rushed. I had him before too when I was admitted. He just looked at me and asked few questions then left, didn't even give any medicine at all nor treatment, he was just so eager to pass me to a different doctor or a specialist. How is he an emergency doctor? Eversince the merge happened with uhn, most of the senior amazing staffs, doctors, nurses has been changed, and replaced by young narcissists, judgmental, patient blaming, self righteous nurses, staff who needs extreme customer service lessons to learn values, etiquette, compassion, and care. The new ones who work there now seemed to be coddled and only got hired because of connections from relatives that's why they lack even the basic skills, no sense of care for patients, not even eye contact nor sincerity, just working for money not loving what they do because the didn't work hard to get it. I hope the ones who are not there anymore have been promoted.
23 December 2021 21:47
I had an experience getting minor surgery and the staff was excellent. Thanks to the surgeon and the lovely staff.
10 December 2021 17:03
My wife went to emergency via ambulance with extreme neck and back pain. She arrived the previous day to emergency via car. She had a neck brace on which was taken off and thrown out. She was in a bed, which helped but later told to get out. She was discharged with no resolution. When she got home, she still had the IV needle still in her arm! Still in extreme pain. This hospital is in Parkdale, not everyone is looking for a "fix". We are extremely disappointed with the outcome.
08 December 2021 9:42
Pretty good hospital. I love staffs require all people change to the masks that hospital provided. The masks are good! Can I know which band it is? LOL
06 December 2021 16:23
Good: Doctor and nurses took good care and are nice.

Bad: Long wait times for emergency and my mom took blood tests and waited hours and only answer we got back was they LOST the blood test and wanted us to retake it again. ‍️
26 November 2021 22:14
The food in the mental health unit pick is criminal.not good at all.people should have good food to help with their mind.
18 November 2021 4:49
My mum broke her hip and was taken to St Joseph's. The wait time for surgery was a bit longer than normal, probably because of issues to do with the pandemic, but she got her hip repaired and we're really happy about that. Her care has been excellent I really appreciate the work of the nurses, the orderlies, the support staff and the doctors, continuing to come in every day despite the incredible workloads and stress and burnout of the last 18 months. Thank you for your service.
17 November 2021 11:57
My partner went to Saint Joseph's 2 days ago I was told to come back on Monday when a dermatologist would be there goes back to the hospital they have no record of being there on the weekend
16 November 2021 16:19
My husband was brought to st. Joe's after a workplace fall and CT scan misdiagnosed with a broken scapula when he had broken ribs.ruptured spleen, broken vertabrea.fracture neck he was released and home readjusted to brampton and sent to st.mikes had his spleen removed and thre blood transfusionshow was this missed at the first hospital.
13 November 2021 20:56
I gave birth to both my sons at this hospital and the staff was amazing both times. I also had to come here for an IV infusion a few times and everyone was amazing.
08 November 2021 3:44
I had many surgeries here, never once I encountered unprofessional staff. Everyone was kind and effective. This is a top hostipal with amazing nurses and doctors. People with negative comments, light up doctors and nurses are overworked, be patient. They will get to you and you will receive the best of care. Blessings to all the staff at St. Joe's!
P. S. Dr. Chris Compeau, I miss you so much! I understand the stress you went through.wishing you the best life as to offer. You deserved it. Heartfelt thank you for saving my life.
31 October 2021 0:40
St Joe's has always been a favorite. Just spent 5 days in ICU obviously not feeling good. Staff up their top of the line head of the class
18 October 2021 6:40
I was recently visiting Toronto and had a minor health scare that resulted in my going to St. Joseph's emergency dept late on a Sunday evening. I braced myself for an ordeal but was VERY pleasantly surprised. Triage and registration were fast and efficient and I like the high level of infection control including not having to hand my health card directly to staff. My wait to see a doctor was also reasonable given it was emerg. My only frustration was the long wait for blood test results.that took longer than every other step combined. It would be helpful to give patients a rough time frame for how long the wait for test results will be so they have realistic expectations. I had no idea it would take that long so the wait seemed interminable. Also, especially given it was NOT busy, it would have been nice if nurses had checked in on patients occasionally to see if they needed a drink or a blanket (hospitals are so often cold!) or anything like that. Just having a nurse check in occasionally and show a little sympathy for the wait could help ease people's stress. I'll end by saying that I saw/heard three emergency room doctors in action (because there's little privacy in emerg LOL), and all three were so kind, patient, and personable.wonderful bedside manner. So overall, 4 stars, just maybe bump up with communication with patients on test result wait times and make more of an effort to check in with them while they are waiting, waiting, waiting for results. Thank you!

Looks historic on the outside and getting a major face-lift on the inside; easy to navigate. Friendly staff and volunteers

Two years ago i had issues breathing during the summer and went to a clinic on queen st west.the dr immediately dignosed i was more than she could assist with and called an ambulance.they wouldnot listen tome and took me here to st joes.first impeession when did we time warp back to pre higenic hospitals?
the choice wasnt mine to make apparently, i was put in what seemed like a cell with very little air and waited for hours to see someone.at some point i realised i was due for more of my medication for seizures so notified a nurse.hour later muy triggers are starting to show and i asked them to call my dr and get permission to give me a dose asap.skip to three nurses later two hours and im going into seizure and tell another nurse im going down hard.i gain consciousness to find out i took down three nurses and a doctor during my seizure.but wait.its six pm now they cant call my dr.but my pharmacy is open till nine so i ask for them to be called.nothing happens.i realise im in hell and try to leave to get somewhere i can get help.dr edwar.dont want to be too specific.says NO
i ask to be released and sign whatever.im BUSY NO AGAIN.ok so feeling likea hostage im sent to anactual room in the renovated area.nice.i thought.the door closes and the fan in the room is so loud and its so cold im shiverring with a wicked headache.i ask for blankets and earplugs and get the response.tylenol!
so realising i was not going to get better here i took the initiative remove the hookups.not the needle the screw thing.and found my way out with help from security.walked home at three am and went to bed exhausted.i woke the next morning and went to my drs office and he removed the needle and cord and we called st joes.they realised i was gone at eight am!
no one called my phone or anyone else.ever wondered what it feels like to be a mouse approaching a trap?
head to st josephs.and god luck getting back out.

Ill go there only if im pronounced dead already.then admitted.never again.head to downtown hospitals never here
18 March 2021 15:36
Got my covid test done here in October and never got my results. I called to ask why I can’t view my results online and was told “if you didn’t get a call you don’t have covid”. Explain why I can’t view my results 3 months after I took the test. You’d think they would be more diligent during.hmmm I don’t know, a PANDEMIC? I certainly won’t be returning to this hospital for any other reason
14 February 2021 8:16
I had a surgery today and I cannot imagine having a more pleasant experience. Everyone - nurses, interns, doctors, anesthesiologists - were amazingly kind and compassionate throughout. They made sure I felt comfortable and kept me informed. Thank you sincerely. We appreciate all that you do ️
12 February 2021 11:05
Called to get information about my elderly father who had gone alone to the ER. Cannot what so ever get through. The only person who answers confirms he is there and says will transfer you to his nurse. Over an hour wait I had to hang up. Could not get in. Had to call again to the emergency department where I was told they are very busy right now and they will call me when they can. I AM FULLY AWARE THEY ARE BUSY HELLO? !? ! THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE DYING? ! MY FATHER CAN BE ONE OF THEM AND I CANT EVEN GET THROUGH TO ANYONE TO GIVE ME INFORMATION!? !? !? RIDICULOUS
02 February 2021 9:53
I have a severe laceration to my leg. Called the switchboard looking for assistance on whether getting a ride to the hospital or whether I should just call an ambulance and the response was “I can’t help you make that decision. ”
10 September 2019 15:47
Normally I have nothing but great things to say about this hospital.but I went to Emerg with my Dad on Tuesday night.he is almost 80 years old and was scared.almost 4 hours of waiting only to be told "in a condescending way I might add" that it is a virus and I can't provide you a magic pill. Very disheartening
20 August 2019 11:44
I fuc*ing hate this hospital, like every hospital the waiting time is a huge pain and for you to get a blood test your going to wait about 8 hours (it happened to me before). Another thing is where the hell are all the staff, yesterday my mom got a massive stomachache that she couldn't even stand up from, and after calling the ambulance they took her to this cancerous hell btw this happened at 3am, and from there I came to visit my mom at 10pm after work, I found out that she has been in some kind of waiting room THE WHOLE DAY! When I ask her whats going to happen she said they have to do some kind of x-ray (I'm not exacty sure what it was they have to do but it has something to do with it) that apparently they don't do on weekends, what the hell she came on a Friday and she had to wait all weekend just for them to do something like this? It is because of THIS hospital that I despise all hospitals. I swear if I get shot I will tell the doctors, police or whomever to send me home because I'm going to die at home through the blood loss and if I go to this hospital I'm going to die waiting through blood loss. Only reason why I am giving it a 2 star is because the staff are actually respectable, for now that is
17 August 2019 19:26
St. Joseph’s hospital is severely underfunded, understaffed and it’s a chaotic place when it comes to wait times, beds, and getting a hold of a doctor/nurse/admin in order to get what you need done. I completely respect and appreciate the roles of each and every worker here and understand they try their best to cater to everyone that comes in, but it just doesn’t seem to get any better. This place really does need a lot of improvement in terms of what’s stated above.
14 August 2019 1:11
I went to visit the emergency department and the nurse i had assessing me was dressed inappropriately. Her assessment didn't make me feel self assured in anyways as she seemed less knowledgeable.i think her name was Christine
09 August 2019 11:48
I had a good time when I went to get my CT scan. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I appreciate their service.
28 July 2019 16:33
Was assessed by a young Filipino nurse in the emergency department who wearing a top exposing her belly area.she was more interested in texting on her phone instead of paying attention to patients standing by the nursing station in need of help.
28 July 2019 5:51
I would give them negative points if I could. Do not go if you seek mental help. I was in for depression and anxiety, even had my dad there to vouch, and they thought it would be better to rough me up and strap me to an uncovered bed for hours. Worst human beings imaginable.
27 July 2019 19:03
Update: although our previous experience was not stellar but I must command the nurses, support workers and doctors at 6M for taking good care of our mother while she was in palliative care. The work is physically and emotionally draining but the staffs show up for work every day taking care of our mom with compassion and care, and allowing her to pass peacefully. Thank you everyone at 6M, you are the unsung heroes.

-
We were in the middle of seeing a doctor and got interrupted, the doctor and nurses disappeared for an hr and when they returned we were forgotten until I reminded them that we’re still in the queue. Later we were asked to come back the next day because the CT scan service is closing. We got the scan done the next day and then were asked to go to emergency to register again to see a doctor. With all the brain power in this place this is the most efficient process they can come up with. How about try register patients first before doing a scan and not the other way around.
24 July 2019 3:14
VERY slow service at emergency wing. Came here on a Tuesday night due to my partner not being able to breathe with a fever and sharp chest pains.hes had this sickness for 3 days and it has escalated so we decided to go to the hospital just to make sure everything was okay.

We have been currently waiting for over an hour and a half just for a doctor to come see us when every other patient has been seen already. There were even patients who came before us that were atleast seen by a nurse. When I asked reception of a rough estimate of when we could expect to see a doctor he wouldn't even give me the time of day. The emergency room only has a few patients. Although I don't know hospital procedures or reasoning as to why we still have yet to see a doctor. I do know that when I see the staff joking around with eachother and laughing away while patients still need to be seen is something I dont appreciate.

Not professional at all.
23 July 2019 1:28
Some staff is really professional, but it all depends.wmwrgency service is pretty slow, especially when you coming with a small kid.
19 July 2019 2:44
Absolutely terrible experiences all around. Always met with staff that couldn't be bothered to help. Lack of compassion, concern and typically unavailable (both emotionally and physically).
16 July 2019 23:16
This hospital full of demons is forcing me to stay here with no food or water for the whole weekend at least so now i say THIS PLACE should NOT exist and until they let me go i will update this review every day and eveything i said on my first review on this place untrue so please don't go here

P. S.i know most of the good reviews on this place are FAKE

I'm updating this review because these demons are making me stay another day and the doctor named Doctor Lindsey is an incompedint jackass so like i said before i will update this review for every day they make me stay here

I'm updating this review again because they still won't let me leave and i'm slowly going crazy because of it so in short i would rather stuck on an island that's 95 o C then here

I'm updating my review again because i feel these demons are trying to kidnapp me from my mother and they put me on a drug called ADIVAN that makes me not hungery and gives me headaces and i was sopposed to stop taking that med years ago when i found out it dosen't work

I just recently had laser surgery for kidney stones. I had previously had both my children at St. Joe's and visited a few times throughout the years. I have never had any problems and was always attended with professionalism and courtesy. Times are hard, all hospitals face the same problems, workers do their best. People tend to complain about so many things sometimes just to let go of their own frustrations. But in all years I have not found any good reason to complain about the care or professionalism of the services I got at this hospital.

Unless you have a cancer and they can make money on you, they are not interested to help you, do not even bother to come, you will not be even examined.particularly urology, this this first what you will hear - you do not have a cancer.another words come back when you have one.

I received excellent care in this hospital’s emergency room.

With one exception, I was unlucky to have a very poorly trained Triage Nurse. As the first point of contact upon my arrival, she showed an extreme lack of respect and professionalism.

Thankfully the rest of the staff including receptionists nurses and doctors were exceptional. Thank you!

Great place, lovely staff. Except for the FEW stuck up or fed up people who dont even bother listening to you.
Wife asked to the lady at the front desk who's gossiping with her colleague "excuse me, can i ask you a question? " The answer she gets BEFORE even finishing her question is YEAH JUST GRAB A SEAT. 9H15 Tuesday 21st of May. Went on to be borderline rude, but with a smile. Not cool. You get paid to provide customer service, either do it or get another job. Seriously so much contrast compared to your colleagues' attitude.

Definitely one of the better hospitals. I've had appointments with various doctors and they were all super experienced professionals. I've used their emergency services, eye clinic, neurology and family/birthing centre and they were all great compared to some of the other hospitals. Not the biggest fan of their ophthalmologist and one of the staff at eye clinic is super rude (more than once) but other than pleasant experience over all. Parking is okay, busy of course in the mornings, lunch etc. There are free 1hr parking around the building, but not always available.

Took us a couple of days to get oriented with the hospital. Great facility with a little old and a little new. The nurses and doctors are great. Speaking from the experience with my mom at both locations. I enjoy coming here versus Western.

I would give ZERO stars if I could! My spouse of 13 years, passed away in this hospital on July 1,2017. He had cancer in his kidneys and it had spread to his lungs and brain and he also developed a tumor on his heart.

He was being seen regularly by Dr. Dorothy Lo in Oncology. First of all, she is an intern, I had to tell her to give him antibiotics to clear up a small infection in his lung to which she replied "oh ok yeah we will do that! " shouldn't she have KNOWN this? She looked at him like he was a disease and all the staff there spoke to him like trash! He was terminal, and had stage 4 cancer, they could have been a little more sympathetic.

The hospital was filthy and there was a mental health patient following me around. They should be in a secure place where they can't harm others or themselves!

I got to take him home because that's where he wanted to die, but a serious breathing problem forced him back to the hospital where he was already being cared for. The nurses there didn't change his shirt when it got soaked due to him sweating because he would get so scared when he couldn't breathe!

I was also told that my husband was crying out to me but I had already left that night, (I stayed with him from morning to night!) and the nurse decided to tell me this AFTER he had passed away instead of calling me immediately when he was asking for me! I was heartbroken!

Needless to say, I was called to get to the hospital because he wasn't going to live much longer, but by the time I had drove there (which took only 10 minutes!) He had passed away. There was a lot of negligence done by this hospital. He was on oxygen and the temporary tank he was on while getting a test done was about to run out, and the staff told me to hold on while they looked for a piece to hook him into the wall oxygen! He had a spare tank under his bed and they just had to switch it while she looked for it but they wouldn't! Thankfully, I knew how to change it so I did and when she came back (10 minutes later!) she tried yelling at me! TOO BAD! I wasn't about to let him suffer! Sorry for the long post but I wanted to fully put out there to anyone that has a relative that's terminally ill or even thinking about going here to change your mind! You will get better care anywhere else but here! Thanks!

Time and time again st Joe's fails on every level. Their wait times are ridiculous even when they are not busy, they changed the garbage and brought back one with blood on it, you go and ask questions because your family member is in so much pain and they are rude and non informative, they openly fight with each other where people can hear them. They stand there and converse about stupid things while there are people waiting for some type of update or accommodation. You have to keep going up to them to check in instead of the other way around. It never ceases to amaze me coming here how much common sense is lacked here. Do yourselves a favor, save yourself the stress and go somewhere else.

My dad went into the ICU last week, entire staff has been friendly, helpful, supportive, and caring throughout this difficult process.
