I asked for a platter of nachos with NO salsa but extra sour cream.
They brought me out the nachos, WITH a bunch of salsa in the middle and two sides of sour cream.
When I brought it up to my waitress, she went and spoke with the kitchen, and apparently, That's how it comes in the menu - even though I've ordered it a few times from this location recently, and it never came with salsa in the middle.
But aside from that, I specifically asked for no salsa, and the waitress acknowledged that, but I still got no refund and went without eating it.
Staff are friendly and prompt and accommodating if there is a specific game you'd like to watch. Food is always good and if an issue arises it is fixed upon request. Bit of a drive to get here but worth the trip if you love wings!
I mentioned to the owner on Friday, that Saturday was my 34th wedding anniversary, I planned on taking my wife to a golf simulator, then take her to St L’s after. We arrived at 1: 30, and the owner and her husband showed up later with a chocolate desert with a candle. They stopped in on there day’s off to personally deliver this anniversary cake to our table! Awesome. Thanks Em, thanks Paul!
Don't know if it was the day or there was underlying issues (staffing issues) but it seemed unusually slow for service the night we went. Servers were friendly just seemed slow.
A friend and I decided to have late lunch here. It is a cozy bar and had a nice vibe. We sat in a booth and were attended to almost immediately. Our waiter was nice, friendly, and great with recommendations. I had a burger (I forget the name) and a cocktail drink. The food was great. It is a nice place to hang out or meet up with someone; not too quiet not too loud. We had a great time here and I recommend it.
Shawarma poutine was absolutely the tastiest meal i’ve ever started a restaurant with.the deep fried pickles are as big as my forearm.the chicken and waffles exceeded all expectations by 150%. 10/10
I’m not sure if it’s because I ordered the “Caribbean jerk” but these wings were not even edible, they were slighter bigger than a toonie and burnt and overall had a strange not jerk chicken taste to them. I couldn’t even eat 5 out of 10 I ordered without actually feeling sick. And I’m not a picky eater, the fries were the most enjoyable part. Just go to wild wings if you’re in the area of this location.
Atmosphere was good. Music was great. Staff and service was good. We ordered the wings and boneless wings. Food was overly salty and did not seem as fresh. If you can fix the food I'll def be back.
I am giving three stars just because of great staff and by staff I meat servers. They are great at their job. But honestly chief needs some upgrades. I can cook way better, though don't know about customer response.
I smelled some rancid odour on the stuff that I ordered. It's not my first time here, I love this location and place.
But yes, cooking needs real improvement. I wish best for owner and chief and please try to upgrade your skills on serving and as whenever I ordered anything either it was cold or smelling rancid.
Food was ok, I found the size of the burger I had fairly small compared to most places. It was very empty for dinner time so a little lacking in atmosphere and the service was ok. Only came by when we were finished our food.
As I’ve seen the regional manager commenting back, I decided to make sure to attach the correct location since it’s being asked.location - Huron Rd. Kitchener ON
Family of four - we went ordered pub grub.here’s the list. -meat was not cooked on our wings - Skip the dishes orders were left on the bar waiting to be picked up, (Very unorganized) - Chicken tenders were very dry and no flavour - onion rings had no flavour - Nacho’s loaded were not hot not even warm cheese wasn’t even melted on them. Unfortunately we will not be back, this is close to us and wanted to try it…
Sorry guys, but this is the second time, I ordered from this location. Wings and fries. First time, I thought hey, bad night in the kitchen. The second time was last week, worked 10 hour day, ordered wings, and they were like the first order BURNT black, and dried out. Absolutely horrible. I dont call managers, dont need a free order of the same, but felt compelled to report this, as 40 bux, for an order of wings and fries, and threw most of it out, ate the fries, thats not acceptable, will NEVER order from them again, EVER, even though they are close to me.
For the first time in a long time we could get together with friends. We picked St. Luis Bar and grill. Great food, great staff, very friendly and accommodating. We had a group of 11 and two kids. And we had a great time. Most of us ordered chicken wings and fries mmm so good. Also kids hamburger and boneless chicken wings. Fish and chips, and ribs. Really it was all good. Located in the plaza on the corner of Fisher Halmai and Huron Rd it's easy to get to with lots of parking. Well be back!
The food and drinks are great. There are some awesome waiters and some that ignore you. My friend and I used to go all the time, but after a few times in a row of being ignored and items not being brought to our table (yet still on our bill), we found another restaurant with both good food with consistently good service.
The place it's the confortable place for drink a beer and take a lunch. I recomend the BUFFALO CAESAR WRAP: Hand-breaded, fried chicken tenders tossed in Buffalo sauce, topped with romaine lettuce, creamy garlic Caesar dressing, smoked bacon and Parmesan cheese, all wrapped up in a freshly grilled flour tortilla. Served with our signature golden fries. You can upgrade your choice of side.
Just ordered from here and the chicken strips were chewy and not real chicken at all. Really disappointed because we have eaten there before and it was really good
Just picked up our wing order. All of my wings are completely uncooked and bloody! Seems like they were rushed. Please check your cook times, someone could get sick!
The food and service was okay I wasn't offered a menu until I asked and one of the chicken wings was a bit bloody. However big props to them for taking the pandemic seriously. I have been hoping to find a local place to eat and this place is across the road. I really hope I can count on them in the future to provide great service and amazing food. I do have hope.
Used to love going for dinner. Since covid, the food, service and timeline is awful. You get seated right away, but because no one is there. It has taken an hour to get our food twice now, the server didn't come back around to check on things during that time, or after. We asked for more sauce and she brought something totally different. Extremely not impressed. Will not be going back any time soon.
The prices have also gone up, and the food does not reflect that. Salad was soggy, kids meal was extremely small for the price which is double other restaurants - only pro was crispy french fries, however the serving size has reduced by half (we frequented pre-covid).
Overall not impressed. Could've went to Mcdonalds for 1/2 of the price and at least we've have fresh food. Will be going elsewhere from now on.
Currently waiting 45 min on food for the second time this month. Living next door to this place I can personally say they’ve gone downhill in the last year. Haven’t had a drink refill for 20 min either. If you’re in the mood for St. Louis B&G do not go to the Huron rd location. Chucks Roadhouse is far better and also local with 20min service
Was good, although check your red glasses twice. Our daughter had been drinking water and as she had gotten to the bottom we had noticed there was black spots inside the cup.
Manager of the bar is Disrespectful customer. Don't know how to handle situation when it come. If you feel sick or tired call your boss and leave. How can you can call a Kitchen guys 18 come to talk to customers as you think he can take your job?
Had the worst experience this evening. Called ahead for take out. Was told my food would be ready in minutes. I arrive to pick up my food in 20 minutes just to wait another 20 minutes for my food. Then I get home to find that food is overcooked and the wrong items are in my order. When I returned to the restuarant to request a refund, and on site manager tells me "I am not authorized to process refund" after making several calls to their store owner. They offer me gift card in the amount of my purchase and I refused to leave the store without my refund because I paid for service and food that I did not receive. Finally one of the waiters gives me my refund in cash from her tip and complains that I am being irate when in fact I patiently and respectably waited for almost 30 minutes to get a resolution to my issue. The staff needs to be trained on customer service 101 - after be a loyal customer to purchases take out at this location regular, I will NOT be ordering from here again - KEEP YOUR GIFT CARD! Smh #disgusted
Terrible service. Ordered imediately when we got here. Said to the waitress "just apps please, unfortunately were in a rush". Its been 30 minutes and we still havent been served APPITIZERS, however you can find the waitresses specializing in the corner going on 10 minutes. Waitress told hs 1p mins ago 'your order is coming up now' still nothing. Going to be late. Their still chatting. Definitely wont be returning.
The food was average, nothing to write home about. It wasn't busy and they had 3 ppl on staff yet the service was very slow. They really need to brush up on that.
Decent food but terrible service. I would give this place a go again but maybe try it on a night that it wasn’t so busy. Maybe we will get better service then. Had to wait 35 mins just to get our drinks and was there for almost an hour before we got our food.
I visited Kitchener for an event and on my way home decided to stop for a quick bite. Our waitress was very attentive, super nice to my little one who wasn't in a good mood, but she managed to make him smile. Kudus! Excellent meal; so much we had to pack and take away (we are not big eaters). The wings and quesadillas were finger licking good!
Typical sports bar, good deal on boneless wing for January. Boneless wings are mostly breading, and not a lot of meat. Main problem is the really LONG wait time for service. You get seated relatively quickly and they get you drinks somewhat quickly, but getting you food takes a LONG time. NOT a place for a quick bite. Also, it's rather loud here (it is a sports bar after all) so be warned.
Update - Finding a lot of the boneless wings are being overcooked to the point of being burnt.
I have been to this location multiple times and have frequented numerous St. Louis establishments. The service is quick, friendly and always good. The food is always excellent. This is easily my favorite establishment for wings.
I have been in this location for many times and the time to get the food after ordering them is way too long compare to other St Louis locations. Also my last visit was not a pleasant one as the serving staff was little rude and I felt something like she does not want to serve us. I have decided to go back to Waterloo location for my future visits.
We were at a Hockey Fund Raiser at the Huron Rd. Location on a Saturday afternoon and the place was very busy but the service was still great and the food was excellent! It is obvious that the place is well managed!
My friend and I come here often for a late night bite and tonight we came here and our server Marley was soooo amazing! Thank you for being the coolest server ever! Food was amazing too. Highly recommended.
The food here is awesome! Always warm. The jelopano burger is worth trying and the various nacho plates. Tons of wing options. Fast and friendly service. I asked to put the leaf game on a tv that was in my sight and they did. My neck was thankful for that lol. My gf is part of the kitchen staff and it sounds like they treat her well and is very accommodating. I'm glad she found a great work environment, it sounds like she really enjoys working there. I get to try some of the food she brings and it's always great!
Updated from 2 to 4 stars: We tried it again and the food was MUCH BETTER! Wings hit the spot
Original review: My husband and I were craving wings so we went here on the weekend. Neither the wing quality, nor flavour, nor presentation hit the mark for either of us. Too bad because we spent $50 on the meal and this is in walking distance from our house. The service was great, but we won't be returning.
Ordered many times and usually the food is good, however tonight I ordered chicken tenders through Skip the dishes and the chicken came completely burnt and unedible. I'm sure this wouldn't be served in a restaurant and it's sad to see it delivered like this.
This is a pretty typical pub fare food place. They have a nice bar atmosphere and a usual pub menu. Most stuff is deep fried with fries. The quality of the food is average. Nothing to really write home about, but service is normally good and at least the quality is consistent.
My lettuce on my salad was disgusting and slimy. Food is always over cooked and dry. Place seems gross & was very disappointed with my experience. Won't be returning, I suggest you do the same
Service was awful (took over an hour to get food after ordering, nobody got their food at the same time), food was cold and completely overcooked. Barely any sauce on wings, appetizers were soggy.
Know two people who got sick from the coconut thai sauce for their wings a couple months ago (my young son and a colleague who had the same flavour within a few days). They didn't seem interested in hearing about it when my wife called. I won't recommend places that don't take food safety seriously, but it's possible it's just this location and not the chain in general. Did have a couple good experiences previously but won't be coming back after this.
Great atmosphere and it doesnt get too crowded or rowdy and its very professional drinking so you can bring your children for a nice meal without feeling like a bad parent just because you want their great wings
Had the beef dip. A little bit different than tha standard due to the brisket but was happily surprised. Really appreciated a real au jus not the gravy some places like to call au jus
Have been coming here since it opened. Staff is always very friendly and the food is great. Always recommend this as the go to place for my friends and I to watch the Raptors games. Looking forward to frequenting the patio this summer!
