St. Louis Bar & Grill

After searching all of Perth, we discovered that in the off-season the sidewalks get rolled up pretty early. It was before 7 PM and we couldn't find any open restaurants. We weren't in the mood for a noisy sports bar, but we needed supper, so we went to St Louis, on Hiway 7, since it was the only place open for business

We were pleasantly surprised! We were promptly seated by a polite waitress who responded kindly to our comments that the AC was pretty cold and drafty. She immediately moved us to a warmer table.

Our new seating was beside the table that the busboy used to roll up cutlery in napkins for the next day's table settings. To our surprise, it wasn't the person bussing tables that filled in time with wrapping cutlery but the owner of the restaurant!

We had a lovely conversation with her. (I didn't get her name.) She was from Perth originally, but had spent 25 years working with her brother in an auto dealership in Carl[on Place, much closer to the City. She wanted to get back to the small town. In our conversation it became clear that she wanted to to do more then just own a restaurant. She told us of the struggle she had opening just before COVID, but with some staff that were recent immigrants and who planned to stay in Perth, she had successfully made a go of it. You could tell that she was truly interested in the lives and challenges faced by those employees. We also overheard her speaking with a young waitress about the young girl's family. The 'boss' was more like a 'mother' or a friend. It was coming up to closing time and an other young staff member sat at the table with the cutlery, not to prepare for tomorrow, but with a delicious looking burger and fries, i assume it was on the house because of where she was sitting.

Our food was great. We had wings (which came with fries). The wings were meaty. The fries were great. And a serving of nachos had generous amounts of cheese and peppers as well as other fixings.

The TVs were on but the volume was off, so not "a noisy sports bar", but a warm and friendly place, where the owner wants to use the restaurant to make a difference in people's lives: whether new immigrants or young people, some with troubles, some hungry.

We pass through Perth often when we visit our sons families in Ottawa. We will be back to help this great Canadian make a difference in her small town.

Had an awesome dinner! Food was excellent. Wings, fish & chips, quesadillas, and chicken fingers was great for everyone. Loved the nacho chip too. Staff was friendly. Service was fast. Certainly will be back again!

Absolutely our favourite place to eat, staff treats you as you have been a friend for a lifetime, drinks are always amazing, and the food is to die for! Plus they will put on any game for you as long as they get it!

My mom, son (toddler) and I have went several times and we’ve always had great service (James is our favourite waiter). We were served by a blonde waitress on this date (April 29th) and we just left here at 1: 30 pm. She forgot about us, and when we called her out on it (we did so politely) she never apologized. She forgot about us again, never asked us if we needed another drink or anything else. The table next to us also complained about her horrible service and how she barely came to their table either. She even walked away when we were paying. The food was good and the manager who was helping out was also kind but our waitress was completely rude to us and avoided us like the plague. I’m 34 years old and this is the first time in my life where I have left a $0 tip, we usually tip very well (20 per cent and up). Even when the crowd died down she was still avoidant and rude. We have been going here for 3 years and will return, but we won’t be sitting in her section again.

The wings tasted like saw dust. Not like Wild Wings true chicken for sure.

Quite expensive for what it was!

The interior is nice but the service and food… Went here recently with a group of friends for the first time and won’t be returning. A few mozzarella sticks and a small salad will cost you $20! I couldn’t eat meat that day due to religious reasons (there wasn’t many vegetarian options…) so that’s what I had to order. Salad wasn’t good, mostly consisted of chunky, brown lettuce. After spending all
my money on that, the waiter was very rude about how I didn’t tip. I normally would have tipped but unfortunately I spent all my money on covering the cost of a mediocre meal and bad service. Not sure why this place is so popular? Most weekends there are huge lineups waiting to get in. Not worth the wait or money. And as I’ve read, I’m not the only one who feels this way in the reviews.

The absolute dumbest hours of any restaurant I have ever seen. Who isn't open for lunch on a weekend? Food is usually good.when you can actually get it

We came from Toronto with our daughter and we needed to use the washroom. We asked to use it and the lady told us we couldn’t. The restaurant was still open with a few customers. The lady was rude and told us to go somewhere when she knew everything was close around. This is NOT acceptable and shameful! We will never go to that restaurant. (At 9h45 pm on Sunday October 23rd.)

I honestly wasn’t expecting the best after reading several bad reviews but I thought I would give it a try since I’m a server myself and I understand that sometimes people have bad days. But Oh my God was I shocked as to how bad service was…. I went for a late dinner with 3 other people around 7: 00pm. We waited at the door for about 10 minutes to be acknowledged. When we got sat we still didn’t get greeted.all we were asked was "are you 4 today? " So she knew how many menus to grab. We didn’t get water so we sat there parched for 20 minutes before getting asked if we’d like something to drink (she took our drink & food order all at once because we waited so long). Once our food came out, we didn’t have cutlery to eat with. My step dad literally became our server, he got up to grab us: napkins & condiments. Our waitress didn’t come to check if the food was alright, she literally disappeared. She just came by to grab our plates when my brother in law finished his club house, even then she still didn’t ask how the food was. We finally ordered our dessert to-go because we simply just wanted to leave. Don’t get the deep fried cheesecake.

Service initially slow. Needed table for one. All tables for two not being used. Had to wait for large group to leave and then separate tables.

When we go there it wasn't packed but maybe a bit busy. We were told it was about 45.minutes for food, but we decided to stay. Big mistake! It's been over an hour and we still don't have our food yet. There's only 6 other couples in the place! Not great for service!

Knowingly gave me a pint of beer that was flat and when I asked for it to be replaced said “yeah we didn’t get a new shipment so it’s probably too old now” then charged me full price.

Today my husband and I went here for lunch, this was our second time visiting the restaurant and quite possibly our last because we were both very disappointed. My husband got the boneless wings which were dryed out and he described them as a large chicken nugget. I ordered wings which were over cooked as well, a couple of them were burnt (which they tryed to cover up with sauce) I did not enjoy them at all. Also we both ordered fries with the wings and both orders were loaded with oil.
We also had to ask for our cutlery and remind the staff to bring us our drinks. We also did not once get asked if our food was okay. Waitress only came to our table when we were done.
Yes I mentioned about our food and all we got was we are sorry, we have a new cook and he's still learning.

Manager is always kind and funny. She’s a hoot. Staff is super kind and quick. Food is always perfect. I eat here almost every week!

Had the buffalo chicken wrap for lunch and I have to say it was not enjoyable at all. Beside some of the breaded fried chicken in there was way too long in the deep fryer and the sauce had so much vinegar that you could not eat it. The friendly waitress brought it to the attention of her superior, but sadly the manager did not try to make it right

Service good, food good, manager at the door was the most rude person that I have met in a long time. We only ended up eating lunch here because the restaurant next door had dining room closed and it was hubby's birthday.

Big fan of the Dill Sauce and fries. Lots of good sauces. Better than BWW, but now that it's a franchise, not as good as the original in Davisville.

Very attentive staff and the food was quite good. The music was kinda young for me but I'm older and like 60s to 90s rock and classic rock. All in all it was a good experience!

The wings are fantastic, especially the lemon pepper. Staff is fantastic, atmosphere as well. Most importantly they keep the beer as cold as it should be!

Another great St. Louis location with plenty of seating, friendly staff and quick service. St. Louis is bar far my favorite chain of all the similar franchise bars. I always love wings, and the ribs and burgers are tasty too.

Food was tasty except for gravy which came from a can and decafe coffee which was instant coffee. Service was mediocre at best-45 min for food, asked for sugar and spoon for coffee never got them, if you ask for extra napkins/serviettes may never appear, waitresses all seem distracted no names on uniforms.

My wife and I have been to the Kingston location twice and loved it. The Perth location we visited today and it did not disappoint. Service was fast and friendly. We both ordered the new spicy chicken tender salad. Most grilled chicken salads in other restaurants are usually sparse on the chicken. Not here! Loads of tasty spicy chicken tenders. Delicious!

Terrible. Calamari was mostly fried batter pieces with no actual calamari. Apps also were Luke warm when they arrived. Finally left when mains had not arrived after 75 minutes. When leaving there was no offer to comp the apps. Only an offer for a voucher to come back. Don't even bother.

This is late but I have been meaning to make a review. First off, I love the decor, the bar is very attractive and comfortable seats throughout. My husband and I went for the half priced wings night on the Tuesday of July 30th. We were greeted by an enthusiastic and polite hostess who seated us immediately, we really liked our server, Caitlin, who was attentive, polite and joked with us. My husband had wings on the bone along with their fries, where I chose the boneless wings (15) accompanied with caesar salad. We love their fries and I loved my salad. I could only eat half of my wings so of course, I brought the rest home. We will be back again. And on a side note, my Mother on another occasion really enjoyed the Fish Taco's and said she would order them again.

I have been there twice now, the wings aren’t very good. But the burgers are great. Service is also good.

There was a party of 20 that just ordered so we were told 20 mins to wait for a table and then when we got seated they said food will take at least 45 mins from when we order.poorly run for a St Louis. PS my girlfriend is a Diabetic and was forced to wait which would never happen at any other establishment.

Had take out everything was Burnt had but it all in the garage spent like over 80$ called to complain and the manager told me they call me back and still no call back wat a joke. They should not be able to send out food like this.rip off run by a bunch of kids

Amazing place! Drove in off the highway for something to eat and was blown away. Very busy, and packed spot but service was still amazing and the food tasted great! Will defiantly be back if Im swinging by Perth again:)

If I could give this any less than one star I would. A group of us recently went to this St. Louis bar and grill for a round of drinks, and at first were impressed but ended our evening with absolutely awful customer service. We all ordered a drink, and everything came out except my husbands drink which we saw sit on the bar counter for 20 minutes before it got brought out. At this time, everyone else was half done their drinks. On top of the drink being very late coming out, it tasted awful. Our server now did not come back to check on us for nearly an hour, so he did not have a chance to mention the drink was no good before we were ready to get our bill and go. We had to track down a different server to grab our bill because ours still hadn’t been back to check on us. When the bill was brought we mentioned the quality of the drink, and we’re told she’d see what she could do. She then brought the bill back 10 minutes later saying they’d take 50% off the drink. We didn’t think this was fair considering the service we had received and only about 1/4 of the drink was gone. We asked to speak to the manager (who happened to be the owner), who came out confrontational right off the bat before we even explained what had happened. When we tried to tell her the details she did nothing but argue with us that the drink was made fine, and that we were lying about how long it took to come out. She was extremely rude to us, and all we were asking for was the one drink to be comped. This was by far the worst customer service any of us have ever received. When we first arrived we were really impressed by the menu and thought we’d definitely come back during our stay in Perth but after that experience we will not be giving the owner any more of our business. In the end she did take the drink off the bill but only after arguing with us, being extremely disrespectful, and storming off.

This location is brand new. The decor and atmosphere are great! Service was a bit slow but I expect that for a new spot, so no problem. Servers were friendly. We ordered take out.a chicken wrap sandwich ($13) which was pretty good. We also ordered ribs/wings combo which was very disappointing and small for $22.49. The ribs were overcooked/chicken undercooked and we got the fry "ends". Nice spot, but I won't likely be back.

Service slow. Fries soggy. Wings were tough like they had been boiled. Chili was gross and not served as described. After we reported the issues we waited 20 mins to get bill. The 2 managers were giggling at the bar. And never came over. Paid bill in full and left for good.

New location. I enjoyed the food and the service from Chris was excellent. Perth really needed a good bar and grill and this place gave them one!

Waited 15 minutes before we were acknowledge. There was an argument about who was serving us. Then people arriving after we did (15 mins after) they got their drinks and food before we did. And we were still charged for the food. Never coming back
